Great service - wonderful idea of evening social every day with coupons for cocktails -very good gym - highly recommended

Everything about the Amalfi was great. We arrived around 10:30 and were able to check in early. The service was outstanding and the hotel was clean throughout. It was the best hotel experience we have had in Chicago.

Stay was great. One thing was I needed to call to see I I could have a late checkout for the day I left, I was told no, which was understandable that they were bookded for the following day. I did not appreciate the fact taht room service knocked one the door two different times at about 10 and then 11 to see if we were still in the room when checkout was noon.

Loved the hotel! The room was wonderful, bed comfortable, Aveda products in the bathroom, breakfast on every floor so you can simply throw on the bathrobe they provide, take the wooden tray they provide, walk to the foyer by the elevators and get your coffe, OJ, crossiant, yogurt, fruit, eggs, and toast. And they gave us each 2 drink coupons per night for their lounge which included a buffet of cheeses, bruschetta, artichoke hearts, olives, and roasted peppers. The location was perfect! 3 blocks from the orange line and red line, 1 mile from the Gold Coast and the John Hancock building, walking distance to both Navy Pier and Milenium Park, and around the corner from the Magnificent Mile. ANd the staff was wonderful and so helpful! Kudos! I will return to the Amalfi Hotel on my next trip!

Great hotel. I would definately stay there again!

The staff were great, very polite. It was kind that they left us some wine in our room as they knew it was our honeymoon. Liked the breakfast procedure of eating in your room! Great location, especially as we booked a car at Hertz and it was just round the corner!

Excellent place to stay when in Chicago. Walking distance to many attractions, restaurants. Great amenities including breakfast on each floor. Evening reception is very pleasant. Service is second to none.

This is a lovely hotel -- generously sized rooms and bathrooms, nice amenities like continental-plus breakfast laid out on each floor and a cocktail hour nightly -- in a great location, basically right at the transition between the Loop and Magnificent Mile. Aveda bath products, great big fluffly towels (and robes), comfortable beds.

Very happy with our choice, enjoyed the evening reception, breakfasts very good, convenient location. Will stay again if in Chicago.

It was a pleasure staying at the Amalfi Right off the river and very close to everything we needed. Small friendly, personal, and professional. The best part was the happy hours, actually getting opportunity to meet some of the other people staying at the hotel over drinks.

We were staying for one night only. Were given room 308, if you are assigned this room at check in; request another room immediately, why?, we were unable to sleep as there was constant mechanical noise from ? Heating system, even wearing ear plugs did not help. The room looks out onto an ugly brick wall and a water tank. If we would have been staying longer, we would have requested a room change.

Clean and friendly, this was the perfect spot for guests who focused on downtown Chicago. Not as convenient for us - we were visiting friends in Bucktown. But even so, everyone was great. Breakfast on each floor was a godsend. Never did make it for evening drinks. But if we get the chance to return, Hotel Amalfi will be high on our list.

The staff were so amazing. From the valet to the check in....they were pleasant and helpful. We we were able to get an early check-in which left us a lot of time run around the city. We had a small issue with a toilet....and after we called the front desk, about 30 seconds later, I kid you not, there was someone at our door to help and fix the problem. The evening cocktails and appetizers and well as the morning breakfast on our floor was wonderful and convenient. We could just walk out there in our jammies and get back to our room. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

The service was excellent without being overly aggressive. The room was very comfortable and well organized with a large bathroom (two shower heads!). Free WiFi which was a plus. Highly recommend.

Trendy, nuanced, and appropriately avant garde, this is a super nice "boutique" hotel in the River North that boasts some big amenities. Hospitality and service from the minutes you hit the property are top notch. For instance, check in means sitting in a comfy chair and checking in while you also talk with the concierge (one and the same person). Every person we talked to was super helpful in making arrangements for shows and dining. Add to this a lovely continental breakfast provided on EACH floor (good stuff too, way beyond hard rolls and cereal served out of a plastic tub), a wonderful managers's reception in a special lounge with soft drinks, good snacks/appetizers, and libations for adults, and, wait for it, free wi-fi. I consider this a real perk for a very nice property located in the middle of a trendy part of a big city where wi-fi can be really helpful in gathering information and making decisions about where to do and what to see and do. When we return to Chicago and the River North area, we won't need to look for a hotel--we already have one and can only hope that the Amalfi has availability.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The evening cocktail 'hour' was most pleasant; you receive 2 chits for drinks upon checkin and they had very nice hors d'oeuvres. The room was lovely and had a bathtub--harder to find in hotels these days--as well as a dual head shower. The morning buffet on our floor was also ample and varied. We'll be back.

Stayed weekend with my fiance and it was great!!! Great location, walking distance from everything, room was spectacular, besides you being able to hear the dump truck in the morning. Overall I would definitely stay again!!! P.S. Great breakfast!!!!

My stay at the Amalfi Hotel was very pleasant for me and my guest. We were within walking distance of our venue and the staff was very polite and helpful. I would reccommend the hotel to all of my freinds.

We stayed here because it was close to the House of Blues. The hotel staff was great and the hotel was was very nice.

We came to celebrate my bachelorette in Chicago and chose the amalfi hotel. It was a great decision!! Perfect location, free wifi, free breakfast, free cocktail hour, great staff/ service!! We had a fantastic experience. The room was very clean and comfortable. I also enjoyed a good workout in the the gym! Cons: Hot water is sparse in the am $$$$ expensive room/ parking 48/day I can't wait to return!

Very easy to find, ideal location, walking distance to many great establishments for meals or drinks, very friendly and accommodating staff. We asked the front desk staff where to find the best steak supper with no reservations on a Friday night in Chicago and he immediately called Benny's Chop House and made us an rsvp and sent us on our way, just like that! Very thoughtful and considerate employees! The view wasn't of the river but of high buildings from our room window which was still neat coming from small country town where I'm used to corn fields. Happy hour at the hotel was a delight with very friendly bartenders. We will definitely return for another wonderful stay at Amalfi.

the only downside was I got to the hotel at 3:30 to check in and my room wasn't ready. However the cocktail hour was a blast, breakfast is served on each floor, and there are many bars and eateries within walking distance- something for everyone.

It was fabulous - hotel was clean, amenities were great: free beverage and oer d'oevvres in evening, breakfast on your floor, service was friendly, and the location was close to the river, the lake, the Magnificent Mile.

The staff was very friendly! The evening reception felt like you were at a private cocktail event-it was excellent! Breakfast on every floor was a bonus. The hotel is is the BEST location, River North. Our whole family loved the vibe and comfortable rooms. Make sure you get a room that is not facing the ally as the morning garbage collection will be your wake up call.

We enjoyed our stay at the Amalfi. It's a clean, conveniently located hotel with friendly staff. We especially appreciated the extra touches. They included continental breakfast located on every floor every morning, happy hour drinks and food, a room safe, robes, a lighted make-up mirror, a bench in the bathroom, and complimentary wi-fi service. We would definitely return.

Awesome--We were able to check in early... Wonderful evening reception with great snacks and mixed drinks as well as wine and beer. Nice cold breakfast in am. Great service when I needed extra pillows. Every one was very friendly and helpful. Location is close to evrything & just across the river from the theater district. Have stayed here before and will stay again.

Short stay but was very comfortable. The staff were very hospitable and greeted us at all times. Very nice hotel and reasonably priced.
