Ideal location from which to enjoy charms of old Toledo. Helpful staff. Good value.

The hotel was in a great location in Toledo near all the sites but nothing in the room worked: the AC blew out only hot air, the towel heater did not work, and the jacuzzi tub did not produce bubbles. We contacted the front desk and was told that because we were visiting in April, they don't turn on their cooling or heating systems. We were very hot and uncomfortable. We had to open the window to get a cool breeze into the room however it opened out onto a patio and it was very loud because we could hear all the other guests. The only nice thing was that the hotel is located near the El Greco museum and there is cheap parking available on the street.

Great location! Had convenient, safe parking at a reasonable price. The staff was very helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Concerned management and staff - room was not ready and immediately accommodated us + a gift. Next renovations were to occur so offered us an upgrade + breakfast. Rooms good, breakfast good, location excellent for museums next door and walking the town, and parking was found on the street (winter), but a car park is next to the hotel. Highly recommend.

It was a great location but the experience wasn't. The hotel staff was cold and unhelpful. Requests were met with sighs even for information on town. We had feeling that it was a bother for us to be there. Skip the 10 Euro breakfast, prisoners eat better. Pastries were in plastic wrappers, watery eggs looked like they were made days ago and the coffee was an insipid mud served cold. As I said location was grand but next time I would stay somewhere else.

Located at the inner edge of the walled city and right next door to the Greco Museum this traditional mansion houses newly renovated, comfortable and very modern style rooms. Inner rooms have very high windows that cannot be reached. Very good buffet breakfast. Highly recommend the Train Tour that leaves from the Zocodovel Plaza for a panoramic exposure to Toledo

This hotel is wonderful in every way, except one. Although most of the staff at the hotel desk were helpful and delightful, one man wasn't at all interested in assisting guests. When we encountered him, our questions were not taken seriously. He behaved as though we'd interrupted something more important, even when there wasn't another guest in sight. It was such a shame because in very other way this hotel is lovely.

I stayed for one night. Superior room was excellent, refurbished room with old brick walls. Large bathroom. Location is just perfect. Next to Jewish quarter and Greco museum on one side, the hill up to the old town on the other side. Parking is very handy and ok price.

My only complaint was that the shower was barely a trickle and it made it hard to get the soap off. I enjoyed the hotel very much otherwise.

This hotel was beautiful - a combination of sleek modern and old world elegance. The decor was breathtaking, and the location perfect to explore the amazing sights of Toledo.

This is a lovely little hotel and very close to all the sights...the rooms are nice and very clean however they don't have airconditioning available in November and the central heating was on and our room was hot, however we were able to open to windows and cool down...very quiet (when windows closed)...WIFI is pretty useless so just take your IPOD or laptop and sit outside Macdonalds and use theirs....very happy overall...

We enjoyed staying at this hotel, though we were only in Toledo for one night. It was very modern, clean and nice. I would highly recommend it. There was also a parking garage for a fee and a great breakfast.

Delightful Hotel in close proximity to Toledo`s old town.Staff were superb/helpful.Would definately recommend it.One slight criticism is there was no lounge/bar where we could have met & talked to other guests/

Our room was good sized and the bed was very comfortable. The newly remodeled bathroom was very nice. I loved the view out the bedroom window across the town and river...quite delightful. Great parking across from the hotel...parking availability is a must if you are driving to Toledo.

This hotel is right at the heart of the old city. It is in a beautifully converted Bakery. The room we had was gorgeous - complete with a spa bath for two! The staff were very friendly, spoke English, helpful and knowledgeable. Would certainly recommend.

Traveling with our daughter and her husband, we were offered adjoining rooms which was very convenient. Very spacious and comfortable. A few niggles: one of the TVs didn't work properly; the spa bath didn't work; and the wi-fi was very slow (although it was free). Otherwise very good. We didn't try the breakfast as it was very expensive for 4 people, we went to the nearest cafe for coffee and croisants instead.

A really first class hotel

Beautifully appointed within the Jewish quarter of Toledo, the El Greco is clean, comfortable and everything required for a short citybreak. The staff are helpful and courteous and the hotel is good value for money. The breakfast is well worth the extra and underground parking is available if required. Good restaurants can be found nearby and only a short (uphill) walk to the attractions. There is a gift shop and cafe attached to the hotel, but no on-site bar - the only negative to such an enjoyable stay. I would recommend this hotel to my friends.

We were two couples - mid 40's - from UK/US in Toledo for a weekend of sightseeing and ceramics shopping. The location didn't disappoint - a quiet end of a street within walking distance of many important sights...then again, it only takes 20 minutes to cross all of Toledo. The beds were small and hard, the rooms pretty small. Shower pressure good. Breakfast was buffet style with cold cuts, breads, pastries and juices. Coffee was decent and strong. Front desk people were very nice and had good recommendations for restaurants and places to see (without them, we would never have made it to the fabulous city of El Puente del Arzobispo). Parking was a bit of a nightmare - you have to ask for the keys at the front desk, then the lot itself is a pain to get in and out of - if you've rented a big car, forget it!. All in all - fairly good value for money, clean, well located, decent place - above average but not luxury.

This small hotel, near the El Greco museum and settled in th Jewish quarter, is accessible to the city y the colorful, winding roads into town. The hotel has small rooms, but a lovely breakfast.

This hotel met all expectations read abouit in toursit guides. Hotel was very charming small hotel with very nice rooms. Our room was in new wing and very modern. Convenient to major sites in Toledo. Staff was nice and breakfast worth additional fee.

Toledo is small enough and round that you can walk to EVERYTHING within minutes but this hotel has a spectacular view of the river and mountains, parks and across the street from the El Greco Musuem. We were in Toledo for 2 of the hottests days in July and the room as well as entire hotel was always cool, sometimes freezing. The rooms are all modern and extremely comfortable with US standards. The breakfast is economical and varied. Perfect place for couples AND families.

We were most fortunate to get a room with a balcony looking over El Greco's gardens. What a beautiful view! And the bird song every morning was such a unexpected delight. The rooms were smallish but beautifully appointed and very comfortable and the bathrooms are gorgeously tiled, with a beautiful full tub and shower. You can walk anywhere in the old town from the Pintor. The staff were always very accomodating and helpful. All spoke English, some more than others. And a great bonus is the available underground parking (for a reasonable price) - which we found was a must if you are renting a car to get around Spain. Just park your car and forget about it, because you won't need it during your stay in Toledo and beleive me, you don't want the worry of leaving your rental car parked on the very narrow streets of old Toledo. The breakfasts were good, with lots of variety available, but expensive compared to heading out to a cafe for your morning fare. The Hotel is a bit of a maze due to the fact it is actually an old old bakery, but that's all part of the charm. It just takes a little longer to find your way around.

Very cute little hotel, extremely nice and clean. Looks old from outside but very contemporary inside the rooms. Parking is 14 euro and very convenient next to the hotel Definitely will recommend.

I had locked my door from the inside yet another guest was able to access my room with the keycard that he received from the hotel. Apparently, the hotel had double-booked my room. When the other guest went down to figure out what was going on, one of the staff came to my room to see my ID as he did not believe the hotel had made a mistake. No apologies were made. Afterwards, I had to ask for my keycard to be re-coded and again, no apologies were made. I do not understand how else I could have secured the room when I had already locked the door from the inside. Moreover, the television was very confusing. The first floor rooms are actually street level so request the highest floor possible.

Magic hotel, very comfort and clean, great hospitality.

This is a nice, clean hotel, nothing special, but solid and worth what you pay to stay there. It is located, more or less, on the edge of the old city which worked out well for us since it gave us a point of reference when we went out in search of dinner. The front desk staff was helpful and professional, giving us pointers on where to eat (I wish we had listened!) and how to get around town (not the easiest thing to do, especially in the dark). We did not eat in the hotel nor did we use any facility other than the rooms. One note: If you are expecting American style high powered hair dryers you will be disappointed. The dryers are underpowered, frustrating my wife. Otherwise, we had a pleasant stay.

The hotel was nice, staff very friendly and the breakfast was great. Only two complaints, we were given two twin beds made up seperately when we asked for a double and when asked to move we were told there was nothing available. The room was a little small and you could hear EVERYTHING from the surrounding rooms - ever cough, every conversation. For us it was a great place to set out to see Toledo (who needs to be inside in such a beautiful city) but had we planned to spend more time in our room I think it might have been difficult.

We couldn't get the spa bath to work - other than that I couldn't fault this place. I get the impression it is worth booking one of the Superior Rooms as the standard ones might not be up to much. These are a bit on the pricey side but worth it in my opinion.

the hotel was convenient to the old city. We were in the old part of the hotel and it was not as clean as other hotels we've experienced on this trip. Very nice breakfast area which wa in the newer part of the hotel.

SIMPLE STRAIGHT FORWARD HOTEL VERY CLOSE TO HISTORIC CENTRE OF TOLEDO. FOR WHAT WE WANTED WAS JUST RIGHT. CLEAN AND COMFORTABLE. GOOD BREAKFAST BUT NO EVENING MEALS OR BAR AVAILABLE. PLEASANT HELPFULL STAFF PARKING IN THE AREA MAY BE A LITTLE DIFFICULT BUT HOTEL HAS PLACES IN AN UNDERGROUND CAR PARK FOR ADDITIONAL CHARGE. WOULD DEFINATELY USE AGAIN.

This is an excellent place for a serious explorer of old Toledo. It is convenient to all of the old sector close to the river and on a direct path from the entry of the old town past the cathedral and down the main shopping and entertainment areas. Being at the opposite side of the town made it quieter and the area is open to the river and has a nice park with views of the valley directly in front. The rooms are typical small but had a full double bed, WiFi access and cable tv. The bathroom had a full supply of necessaries and a hair dryer. The decor was in character and brightly lit when needed. The only odd thing was that being built into a hill our room had no window. This did not trouble us greatly and most rooms probably did have windows as they were above ground. We left late after checkout and they were very courteous about keeping our bags so we didn't have to drag them around for half a day.

The hotel was very nice and sizable. The only downside was that it smelled like cigarette smoke. Huge rooms, lots of space and very cute.

This was a great hotel to stay in, and we were satisifed on all fronts. The location is a little removed from the center of town, but the views more than make up for it, plus there were restaurants, stores, and cafes really close by. Right across the street is a great park where we sat for hours just looking out over the edge of the city. Our room was in the newer part of the hotel and had everything we needed. The staff was friendly, and it was really cheap and easy to get to the hotel (4 euros for a taxi ride from the train station). We would HIGHLY recommend this hotel to anyone!

We stayed here for the last 2 nights of our Spain vacation and it was a great place to stay during that portion of the trip when we really could use some comfort and relaxation. It was located in a nice neighborhood, although most of the neighborhoods in Toledo were nice and safe, and just a short walk to the town center. The room was charming and we even had a terrace off our room. We wish we could have stayed longer.
