Holiday Inn Express Cambridge - كامبريدج

Overall the hotel was clean and tidy. The staff however were not friendly nor professional. Rudeness attitude issues and generally unhelpful when raising a problem. Not the high standard I'm used to from holiday inn express. I raised a formal complaint with head office but am still waiting on a reply. Overall a disappointing stay though I can't knock the cleanliness of the hotel overall

The hotel was very clean and staff very helpful, breakfast was good for the money. Only problem is the distance, we got a bus then still had to walk about 10-15mins to the hotel, it looks nearer on the map than it actually is. but all in all a nice hotel and would stay there again.

The room was clean, but small. The space was well laid out to maximize the available space and was also convenient for people traveling together as the bathroom door doubled as a sort of stall so two people were able to use it at once. Breakfast was good, standard fare but well-stocked all the way through the breakfast time window. The staff was friendly, and the hotel was convenient to the city for those with a car. Walking would probably take about half an hour.

Standard hotel. Good facilities, quiet location. Wifi available in main reception area, but chargeable in the rooms. Bear in mind the location as it is a good 45 min walk into the centre of Cambridge - taxi cost nearly a tenner.

They were so helpful - in giving us a map of Cambridge, indicating on it the college we were visiting, where to catch the bus and how long it would take us to get there. On the day it was so useful.

Comfortable stay.

Although the postcode says CB1... it's actually a bus ride out of the city centre. The bus stop was a 5-7 min walk, but it cost us (2 adults and 2 kids) £10 for the return journey. The park & ride is £5 and only a 5 min car drive to get to.The hotel itself is nice and clean and the rooms are good. The staff are very friendly and the food is tasty. The only downside to our stay was that the air conditioning was set at 25'C and we couldn't turn it down for the night's sleep. I turned it off for the second night. I was promised that I'd get a call from the manager about it, but 3 days later and still nothing. Still nice though.

Great staff, friendly and helpful. Location not the best as no where obvious to walk to in evening for dinner. That said it was quiet and slept well.

Stayed here on many occasions, hotel is very clean with comfortable rooms. The food options here are very limited and far from being the best, I skipped the breakfast each morning as nothing was available for my South Beach diet, also the bar is quite expensive. My only gripe is that I was charged by the hotel & hotels. com but I should be able to sort that out. I will most certainly be staying here again.

Good, standard hotel for quick business trip stop-overs. Bar area very poor however so not great for a social visit. Room comfy and spacious and at a good rate. Breakfast limited but OK for on the move!

This is a standard characterless modern hotel on an industrial estate - fine if you have a car. There is nothing interesting in the surrounding area. My main gripe is that it was quite cold. The heating system is noisy. These are normal problems with many of these hotels.

very goo. breakfast can be better

My first impression was bad as I stood in reception a full 2/3 minutes whilst two members of staff chatted to each other! When we returned the the hotel later in the evening the electronic key would not work and I ahd to go to reception where it had to be changed. No word of apology! Comfort and value for money is ok but had far better persional service in same hotel chain in Belfast!

A very average hotel, rooms seem to have been refurbed but landings seem dated. Our shower leaked however. Breakfast was poor, hardly no selection.

Nothing much near by this hotel. The hotel was clean, freindly staff, food below average and not the best in terms of value, but no problems.

On eastern edge of city but can catch buses to and from city centre. Quiet location and clean, efficient hotel.

Had a weeks stay due to working away. Couldnt have asked for anything else when away from home. Thought the hotel and staff were great.

First time with Holiday Inn, impressed with quality of everything compared to travelodge etc- Will look to use Holiday Inn again when away in UK

There are hotels that are quite dirty, but this one get the Gold Medal !! The Manager tried to apologize by saying that they just had a bunch of construction workers staying there, but you could see clearly that the stains were not from last week. Also the were stains on the sheets and the pillows had a sweat smell !!! There were hairs in the place where you put the soap. I hope that Holiday Inn people really does a tour in Europe and checks their branded locations.

As we had taken the car to Cambridge, this proved an excellent choice. Free parking is worth the distance from the centre, and there is a frequent M - Sat bus service about 10 minutes walk away via the foot and cycle path past the hotel (half-hourly on Sunday) Alternatively you can easily drive to the Newmarket Road P + R. The hotel is in typically smart Hol Inn Expr. decor, and a good breakfast including some hot items is included in the price. All very comfortable and pleanty of room in the "Great Room" for breakfast. They also serve an evening meal from a limited menu - good when you have just arrived and don't want to go out again.

Don't why we were put in a room for disabled people. Thought 0930 was a bit early to stop breakfast which we missed.

Quality of service

It was okay because we had a car to take us to the places we wanted to visit. But if we had not got a car, we would have chose a different location.

Best two days of my holidays. Excellent customer service in Holiday in express Cambridge. Good food. Beautiful location. Will recommend Holiday Inn Express for your stay and relaxation. Value for money!!

Negatives: Bed was not that comfortable, no bath in bathroom, breakfast average. Positives: cheap and clean

Nice start for our trip to U.K. We arrived at 10pm and checkin was super quick. We were given a room facing the car park and the room was quiet and clean. The bed was comfortable too. We had a car and so going to the town was not a problem. Lots of FREE car parking space. Breakfast, which is a standard offer in the hotel rate, is up to you if you want a full or light breakfast. Wifi is free in the dining area / lobby area.

Convenient, reasonably priced hotel, 20 minutes walk or 5 minute taxi ride from city centre. Friendly, helpful staff.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here over the easter weekend. In a strange location but accessible with short walk to a bus stop and buses into town even on bank holidays. Only disappointment was lack of hot water on last morning. cold showers had by both of us an hour apart despite hotel not being full. disappointing.

It is a good hotel to consider if you stay in Cambridge area.

Very good and friendly hotel with good English Breadfast. Location is not very convenience from the City Centre however very quiet during night time and have clean room and good beds. Will stay again if back to Cambridge.

Very nice, clean, spacious & quiet room. It was very modern and nicely designed. Good friendly reception staff. Free Wifi in reception (you have to pay extra to use it in your bedroom). Big breakfast window , 7am till 11am on our Sunday morning, but the quality of it was slightly disappointing (hot food was either over cooked/cold).

We used the HIE as our base for our son's interview at Cambridge. I would highly recommend this property. The triple occupancy room was more than adequate in size (for UK accommodation). Breakfast was good and free wifi in the great room was of adequate speed. Location is the only issue. Plan on 9 to 10 pounds each way into town.

Room was too small for a family of 4 and the sofa beds were quite uncomfortable. the sink in the bathroom was not draining fast enough. No mention if the water in the bathroom sink is potable. Breakfast was excellent.

Clean good value hotel reasonably close to Cambridge.

This was by the airport, but the rest of the town is over a mile away. The bed was also very uncomfortable. The room overall was very nice. The continental breakfast was also the best I've ever had.

This place good for holiday but away from city and bus stop as well . All staffs were good and friendly,and breakfast is good. The only concern about refund if you book no refund at all.
