Good value, convenient, nice size for 4 people

We were pleasantly surprised with our hotel accommodations. We booked our hotel room without knowing much about the area or hotel. The staff were unbelievably friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived until checkout. Our room was very well kept and had two twin beds as well as a kitchen with an oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, plates, utensils, glasses, etc. The only drawback was the construction going on at the building next door. The workers started early, around 0700, so it was difficult to sleep beyond 0700. But the breakfast made me quickly forget about the construction. The buffet was amazingly good and we couldn't get enough food. The location was also pretty good for what we wanted. The Brandenburg Gate is only about 1.5km and the Reichstag is just across the street from the Brandenburg Gate and Potzdammer Plaza is just around the corner. The HauptBahnhof, Germany's largest train station is just an 8 minute walk from the hotel. We also caught the hop-on/hop-off sight seeing bus at the train station, so we were able to see all of the main sites around Berlin. We had our car with us, but really didn't need it. Overall, we were very satisfied with our accommodations and would definitely stay at the HSH again.

Excellent Hotel in a good location and great value for money. Apartments are large and well equipped. Staff is very helpful and available round the clock. Highly recommended

The hotel was clean, spacious and graciously tended to. There is a massive construction area completely surrounding it, but we were barely in the room, so it did not bother us.

Great place and very helpful staff. Not the most beautiful surroundings but very central. I can recommend it, allthough you probably could find equally nice places for slightly less money.

Within walking distance to the train station. Staff very friendly. Has a full kitchen with all the necessities needed for a long stay. Construction on the street makes it a little noisy.

An apartment, rather than a hotel room. Plenty of space, good kitchen facilities, excellent Breakfast service. Not very central but not far from anywhere.

Hadn't been here since early 90s - considerable changes since then. Landed on this hotel apartment by chance - very central, near U-bahn, 10 mins walk from Hauptbahnhof. Good range of restaurants,cafes and a supermarket. very friendly and helpful staff - nothing was too much trouble. Would have no hesitation in coming back, and bringing friends with us = so we'd need a bigger apartment ( not that our one was small - anything but - but we wouldneed more than one bedroom.

Set up like an apartment, nice place, lots of space, can accommodate quite a few. Decent location, next to an underground that connects anywhere. Would recommend it.

Booked a studio room, which was very spacious. Big bathroom, and even a hallway with cloak-cupboard. Small glass enclosed balcony area which was very pleasant for just sitting and relaxing. Plus points are the space, kitchen area with full size fridge, tv with BBC world news. Negative points are:- No microwave in kitchen, kettle only worked if I stood holding the button down, only one cup, no lid for tea-pot, one tea bag and one coffee sachet.... for 2 people. No new supplies next day, nor in bathroom.... so pack your own supplies! Also the building work going on right outside which starts around 8am....until about 8pm. Although by end we had got used to the noise. Then again, whole areas of the city seem to be having major building work going on.... even near Brandenburg gate. Underground stop just around corner, and very close to Natural History Museum ( we didn't go) and Memorial to Berlin Wall ( we did go to - excellent) We didn't book breakfast, although did plan to have it one day, but they finish breakfast at 10am.... so not much use if you want a lie in. Overall I would say good value for money. Maybe next year the immediate building work will have finished.... but then maybe the rates will go up! When we arrived our room wasn' t ready, but we could leave our bags behind reception. On departure day we again left our bags there until we were ready to head for the airport, but were not offered a room to shower or change in which I read other reviewers were given. Day we arrived an American guest was going into meltdown with reception staff, but didn't hear what her problem was. It was a bit of a concern, but we honestly had no major problems, and would stay there again, and would recommend it to others.... with the proviso about the building work. Though if you get a room at the back this may not be a problem. I did ask for one, but said they were all occupied.

This is a good base for Berlin sight seeing with walking distance to "everything" (depends on your walking habits). Big apartment with full kitchen (which we didnt use) and a nice balcony . Clean and perfectly fine for our purposes. I suppose you could stay a month here as a temporary home without any major concerns. We didn't try the breakfast or any hotel service so we can only state theat the hotal staff was nice when we checked in and out...

This was a great place to stay for a week in Berlin. There's not much in the IMMEDIATE area around the hotel in the way of restaurants (except for coffee shops and bakeries), but the tram and U-bahn stops are very, very close, and it's only a 10 minute walk or so to a cluster of good places around Oranienburg Station. It's also surprisingly convenient from the H'bahnhof--right up Invalidenstrasse a mile or so, and an inexpensive taxi ride. It was by far the most spacious and comfortable place we (my 19-year-old son and I) stayed during our three weeks in Germany, and I could happily have stayed for the entire summer, if only I'd had the time. It really has everything you need, including a DVD player, microwave, fully stocked kitchen equipment and utensils, and even a nice balcony. Comfortable beds and furniture. Double-pane windows effectively shut out street noise, especially the squeal of the trams--which you get used to, anyway. Did not eat the hotel breakfast; instead, got coffee and pastries from nearby shops. Breakfast looked good, however. On a cost-per-square-foot basis, this is an unbeatable bargain!

Large, clean rooms and close to two Bahn stations and a tram line. Immediate surroundings are of little interest. Large construction projects are ongoing adjacent to the hotel which was a little bothersome due to noise. It is a 15+ minute walk to the trendy areas of Mitte. Not bad if you are looking for an apartment style hotel.

I loved staying here. So much for a reasonable price! I've paid much more for much less in the US!

We found the rooms catered very well for our needs. Excellent facilities, close to the trains and underground. The staff at reception very helpful.

Very convenient to downtown Berlin via public transportation. Room was clean and spacious. Would definitely stay here again. The breakfast is a bit pricey though. You can find better value elsewhere.

First experience with the Apt-Hotel concept and I was extremely satisfied with it. As indicated above all aspects exceeded my expectations. The front desk experience was no exception, the personnel were very professional and helpful with all of our questions and concerns. I will stay there again next summer when relatives from out of country come to visit. Room amenities: the kitchen appliances, dishes, even the toaster were all new and first rate, and even supplied with dish soap and sponges and towels. The bathroom was supplied with amenities as well. First rate experience.

The staff is accomodating and pleasant. The rooms are pleasant and nicely furnished but have no air-conditioning. Tthe hotel is on a street with constant auto and street-car traffic. Consequently the suites in front are exposed to noise most of the night if windows are open.

Home Suite Home Apartment Mitte is in a perfect location- steps away from the Naturkundemuseum U-Bahn stop (renamed this year) which is so convenient - and within one block is a pharmacy, grocery store, bakery, florist, pizza shop and post office. Also, HSH Apartment Mitte is one U-Bahn stop from Oranienburgerstrasse which has all the hip, great restaurants and bars. The apartment we had was large with separate bedroom, living room, kitchen and large bath...very roomy and perfect for one week's stay and self-catering meals. The only problem is that we were given a roof-top apartment with only a standing fan and in early July, Berlin was stifling hot. My only complaint was the lack of air conditioning, otherwise the apartment was serviceable, not luxury. I would stay here again for its location and the kitchen - but hopefully in cooler weather.

main draw back was the fact that there was no air conditioning. protective googles were not provided for the sun bed. room was clean tidy and staff were welcoming

This hotel is walkable (15 mins, or 5 minutes on the tram) to tourist attractions such as the Reichstag, Brandenburger Tor etc. and is only a few minutes from touristy Friedrichstr. (walking south on Chausee). Also, it's very near one of the better outdoor Wall museums (at Nordbhf). It's central enough that you can get anywhere quickly with public transport - note that the M10 tram goes north-east from Nordbhf, so you can get to Eberswalderstr. with a cheap Kurzstrecke ticket or all the way to Friedrichshain on a normal ticket. The room was huge, with balcony, but there is a building site/demolition next door which could be heard from 8 each morning, even with the double-glazed balcony door closed and curtains drawn, making the balcony less than relaxing. Also, the ventilation (that one door to the balcony) was inadequate in July, the windowless bathroom, at the back of the apartment, being a sweaty affair. Good shower over a bathtub; insufficiently enclosed, so the floor gets wet; reliable hot water. No BBC (or other English-language news) on the cable tv. Note also that the wireless network does not reach the rooms - I wish I hadn't lugged my laptop along! DVD rental (for the supplied DVD player) is cheap. The apartment was generally clean and the staff obeyed the 'do not disturb' sign when used. However, some of the supplied crockery was not clean and the kitchen was largely, but not thoroughly, clean. Overall fine, especially for the exceptional price I paid.

The hotel suite was roomy and modern and pleasant. I was expecting a pleasant stay. However, they located the bedroom on the street side. This would not be a problem in winter, since the thick window shuts out the noise. But in summer, with no air conditioning, you are forced to open the window and are barraged with loud street sounds. I finally took the bed sheets and moved to the couch in the back room to get a good sleep. This worked until 8 am, when the construction crew next to that room began excavating with loud machines. I actually stayed elsewhere the next night and ended up paying for a night I did not use. Again, in winter and with no construction, this would have probably been a good experience.

The hotel contributed greatly to the enjoyment of our stay in Berlin. The room was very spacious and we particularly enjoyed the enclosed balcony area with its comfortable seats overlooking the street. The kitchen area was well equipped down to washing up liquid and kitchen towel, and the balcony area even had a lantern complete with tea light and matches. The reception staff were very friendly, helpful and informative. The location was excellent with trams and busses on the hotels doorstep.There was also shops, cafes and a supermarket nearby for any needs.

This hotel was clean and spacious. Our room had an enclosed balcony which was an added bonus that we had not expected. The kitchen was fully stocked with pots, pans, knives etc... which was great to have. The lobby also had free internet which is a nice convenience. The hotel was right next to a metro stop and about 3-4 block from a good night scene with tons of bars etc. We would definitely stay here again. Make sure you take a day trip to Potsdam while in Berlin...it was the highlight of our trip to Germany!

Our first trip to Berlin was made very pleasant by our stay at Home Suite Home Hotel Apartments. Friendly and helpful staff were on hand at all times to render assistance. Public transport (trams, buses and taxis) regularly passed the front of the Hotel and entrances to the underground were just around the corner. A lot of the main tourist attractions were within easy walking distance for the fit traveller. We found a good range of reasonable price restaurants both in the city proper and within easy reach our hotel. We had a lovely time in Berlin and would go again. We would use Home Suite Home Hotel Apartments. If you are making and advance from home booking for taxi transfers from the airport via Berlin Transfer we would advise booking both before you leave. This company insists on a minimum of 24 hours notice for a booking. Enjoy your Berlin Holiday - Frank

Lovely hotel will be going back

I've never stayed in apartments before, but readling on line reviews thought I would give HSH a try. Location was excellent -very easy journey from Tegel by bus and U bahn (about 20 mins in total). Located in Mitte next to a U Bahn Station, 2 sets of tramlines adjacent and a further line next to the S Bahn Nordbahnhof which is just a short walk away. Easy to get to Alexanderplatz, Unter Den Linten etc. Apartment spacious and clean, staff very friendly. REWE supermarket just round corner to stock up on essentials..like german beer!

Lovely apartments nice breakfast provided, 10 min walk to central station and nighlife or use underground station just around the corner.

The hotel is located between S- and U-Bahn stations and in front of the hotel a bus and a tram is passing. Of course this creates a bit of noise if you are staying in a room facing the street. You better ask for a room at the back. The breakfast is excellent with a large variety. Tegel airport is only 20min away with public transport. Pleanty of restaurants and coffee shops in walking distance from the hotel. English speaking staff.

Hotel was good, enough staff, no noise and in a good place, but there was not enough information about the locks.I got trouble with the key's. In first houre of my staying in hotel, just I put key's inside the lock behind the door and door closed, then hotel charge you 70 Euro's which is incredible expensive to open the door. Actually this is the trapping for the geusts. This problem distourbed me during my staing in the hotel.

Grosszügiges, zum begrünten Hof gelegenes 1-Zimmer Appartement mit angemessener Küchen-Ausstattung. Kleine Aufmerksamkeiten, die Freude machen - Äpfel, Bonbons, Osterhase.

Pænt hotel med aalt hvad man behøver. Måske lidt anonymt.

Køleskab virkede ikke og ved henvendelse blev denne ikke vidersendt. Ny henvendelse resulterede i at der muligvis dagen efter ville blive set på dette. da vi ikke var tilfredse med dette og ønskede enten andet køleskab elle nyt værelse, endte det med andet værelse, dette blev vi efterfølgende bedt om at flytte fra og tilbudt et andet. dette skulle eftersigende være af bedre kvalitet, det var det modsatte. Vi valgte ikke at udfordre dette, da ferien ikke skulle bruges på mere bøvl. Morgenmaden var af meget tvivlende karakter. Mangelfuld til trods for at der var 1 time til sluttidspunkt, dette blev påpeget og alligevel var der ikke forbedring dagen efter. IKKE et hotel der vil blive besøgt igen.

Das Hotel HSH Hotel Apartments Mitte liegt sehr nahe an der U Bahn. Zimmer und Bad sind sehr gross! Frühstücksbuffet sehr gut! Sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal!

3 overnatninger 3 voksne 1 barn. dejlig værelse/lejlighed fint plade ok begliggende vi var super tilfreds. vil helt sikkert bo der igen.

Vi ( 2v + 2b ) havde en super fed lejlighed med rigeligt med plads og sågar 2 balkoner. Skal man nævnet noget der kan forbedres var det nok køkken knivene, så det siger vist mere end rigeligt om hvor tilfredse vi var. Gå afstand ( 2 U bahn stop ) fra Unter den Linen, og 200m fra Friedrichsstrasse.

Liegt sehr zentral und ist nur einen sprung entfernt von der nächsten Metrostation. Direkt um der Ecke sind gute Restaurants, Cafes und auch für den generellen Einkauf beim Supermakrt ist mit einem Netto und einem (ich gleube) Edeka in einer Entfernung von maximalen 100 Metern auch gesorgt. Die Apartments sind geräumig und haben, was mir persöhnlich sehr gefallen hat einen Balkon/Wintergarten, der durch eine Glasfront nach innen und außen geschützt ist. Bei einer Außentemperatur von -23 Grad Celsius ist ein solcher Balkon für den morgendlichen Kaffee ein segen. Hinzu kommt, dass das Personal zuvorkommend ist und bei einer von mir falsch getätigten Buchung äußerst flexible damit umgegangen sind und es einfach verrechnet haben. Alles in Allem würde ich sagen, dass ich meinen Platz in Berlin für die kommende Zeit gefunden haben solange ein Platz für mich frei ist.

Fijn hotel, met hele ruime kamers. Ideale ligging, vlakbij de metro. Handig dat er een keuken in zit. De badkamer is mooi en modern. De bedden zijn prima. Doordat de kamers aan de voorkant van de straat liggen, hoor je het verkeer, wanneer je het raam open houdt. Als je het raam dichthoudt, hoor je niks. Ontbijt prima. We hebben een heerlijke tijd gehad.

Stort och rymligt i tyst område.

Vi gillade detta hotell väldigt mycket, rent, lugnt, trevligt bemötande i receptionen. Fast vi var väldigt tidiga in till hotellet fick vi lämna in väskorna och veta vilket rum vi skulle få när vi kom tillbaka. Efter detta trevliga bemötande begav vi oss ut på stan. När vi kom tillbaka för att checka in hade de hjälpt till och med att bära upp våra väskor till rummet. Rekommenderas för en enklare övernattning och inte i behov av konstant uppassning.
