The Waterfront Suites - بايهيا

We thoroughly enjoyed the Waterfront Suites. Check in was friendly and fast, the suite was lovely and had everything we could need. The location in Paihia is excellent - everything is in walking distance. We would love to come back to stay again and bring our family.

It was a lovely surprise coming into a place that actually looks like the pictures from the site. A beautiful apartment in a fabulous setting!

We loved it. The Waterfront Suites is world class. I highly recommend you stay there when you visit Pahia or Russel.

Right on the waterfront and easy walking to food and activities. The Bay of Islands is magical and our suite added to the pleasure. Would come back.

The 2 bedroom Premium apartment was spacious and generally well-equipped. One TV remote was missing when we arrived but this was replaced quickly without any hassle and the friendly staff also allowed us a late checkout of 12pm without any extra charge. Layout and security was excellent, the beds were comfortable, and the apartment was clean and serviced well. The towels and linen were excellent. The kitchen was well-equipped. I can never understand why 5-star properties don't have large screen tvs now that they are relatively inexpensive - the lounge TV was adequate (??32inch) but could have been larger. Also the I think I saw somewhere a description that the Premium apartment would have 'sweeping sea views' or something similar - their were sea views but they were somewhat confined as we were at the back of the property facing toward the sea and some of the view was the other apartments. Despite those couple of minor points I would rate this a true 5star property and we had a really excellent relaxing stay. It is certainly one of the better properties I have stayed at in New Zealand, is truly world-class, and I doubt there would be anything better in Paihia.

Fantastic suites with every facility you need, a real home away from home. It is right on the waterfront, close to everything but still peaceful when relaxing in the stunning pool.

The Waterfront was in a great position with beach, shops and jetty within 50 meters. Unfortunately most apartments overlook each other with no view of the bay

The Waterfront Suites was easily the best accomodation we stayed in in New Zealand. Total luxuryin every aspect. Will definatley stay here again.

Hotel is very modern and well located. Room is spacious, there is fully equipped kitchen. Personnel is friendly. The biggest issue that no restaurant in the hotel, you need either go 'next door', or buy food in supermarket. In terms of surroundings - it very good: lots of kraft shops, restaurants, body treatment places. It's very good for family holiday and for active people, but totally not for 'leazy beach' type of holiday

This hotel is a must! It is located near the town center but still very calm. The view on the water front side is just amazing as you can enjoy it sitting outside on the balcony. Only thing you you may hear during the night, is the sea... Impressive rooms with lots of space, big and new kitchen. Only negative point (if you really want one): WiFi does not work properly and is very slow (prepaid card charged per MB). Very friendly and helpful staff.

We only had one night at your hotel but enjoyed it very much! It was spacious, clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable evening of reading and relaxing. The desk person recommended 35 Degrees for our dinner on the water and it was a very good choice! We weren't able to use the pool because it was raining but it looked lovely from our room! A very secure place to stay and nice to have the beautiful water right across the street! Thank you!

Hotel is gorgeous! Location is great and rooms are beautiful, however... When we checked into our 2 bedroom suite, both bathrooms smelled terrible (sewer). The first time we complained to the front desk, we were told it was the garbage bins behind the hotel (it wasn't). The second time we complained, they tried to unclog the drains, which caused both bathrooms to flood the next time we used the showers. The third time we complained, they spent an hour in the room before deciding there was an issue, and that a plumber would need to be called. Ultimately, the issue was not fixed before we checked out. I felt the hotel staff could have fixed the issue immediately, or offered us another room. They did neither. The property is beautiful, and the location is perfect. Just wish we could have had a clean room.

Amazing view, beautiful new rooms, just like staying in a new apartment. Really handy location, metres from restaurants and tourist attractions. Highly recommended.

Everything was up to date in the hotel. The layout of the overall apartment was fantastic. I loved that our bed came with warming pads, separate for each side. The bathroom was also great, the water pressure and depth of the rub allowed for a refreshing shower and a relaxing bath. The kitchen came with all necessary appliances and furnishings, so we were able to go to the local grocery store to make some meals at home. The grocery store was about a 20-25min walk away, however easily accessible by car. The hotel itself was literally right across the street from the water, with beach access 50ft away. The main strip of downtown area-restaurants, shops and ferry to Russell as well as all adventure and tours were less than a 5min walk way. The public library which is also along close to the hotel, has free wifi and internet access. It was a fantastic stay and wish we could have stayed longer.

Excellent. Modern facilities in very good condition, fantastic views, and so quiet - we slept very well!
