This hotel was beautiful, scenery was amazing. About a 7 minute walk from shops and restaurants. Two small beaches within walking distance. Buffet breakfast area was very packed and sometimes had to wait for a seat. Other then this was perfect. Would love to return again.

This is a hotel which is geared to the package tourist and it suffers from the inevitable lack of quality as a result. On arrival by taxi the outside front reception area was empty with no staff available to greet, collect bags or direct. I almost expected to see tumbleweed blow across the car park and was amazed to later find the hotel to be virtually full. To my suprise inside were two queues (lines) for check in and check out. No one knew which was which but after about 15 minutes we were checked in. You have to pay (12 Euros + deposit) for the old fashioned key safety deposit boxes in the rooms. We booked and received two sea facing rooms and although they were not connecting they were adjoining (connecting rooms do exist). The rooms themselves were tired reflecting the package tourist market on which this hotel is focused. Bathrooms were adequate, beds were average, the TVs are old with poor channel availability, air conditioning worked well in one room and was weak in the other (max setting was just enough for me so no complaint) and room cleaning was OK. There are 3 free computers in reception but otherwise it is Euro 13 per day to get online. Breakfast is typical mass produced 3 star buffet style. Otherwise food was very poor and it is best to eat out 10 mins down the road in the village where restaurants are overpriced and of average to poor quality. I think the local restaurants know you wont come back anyway. The Algarve is not a great culinary or cultural experience generally I'm afraid. Service in the hotel was poor. There is a sloppy surly approach to guests suggesting poor management. I did not have the confidence to book an airport taxi through the hotel. The hotel is set high on a cliff and the pool area is crowded but very nice with a great view over the ocean. No waiter service at pool. Sunbeds are old but availability is good and towels are provided in reception. There is a children's pool and a main pool. The dive centre is conveniently locat

The hotel is in a lovely position and excellent for relaxing. Our room was spacious and the beds very comfortable, althought the bathroom looked as though it could do with a little updating. All in all the hotel was good, but we did find the drinks in the hotel a little pricey. The resort was a little smaller than expected and I think Portugal on the whole is quite expensive.

Excellant stay. Great area of the Algavre and perfect hotel location. Rooms a bit outdated but excellanmt service.

My wife and I went here for part of our honeymoon and ended up extending our stay at this hotel because we liked it so much. It is quiet, with a beautiful ocean view, and great hotel services. The staff was very helpful and were fluent in English. The location is good for day trips along the Algarve coast and you can also easily walk to several beaches from the hotel. We would highly recommend this hotel for a romantic getaway, but it also seems good for people with families.

Have stayed at villas in carvoeiro on a couple of occasions, perfect small resort with good restaurants (Casa Algarvia, Happy's, The Parrot are favourites), excellent beach, nice family resort. When we decided to book a short stay (wed to Sun) we booked the Tivoli Carvoeiro. Best bit is location, never been at a better located hotel in relation to beach, views, 10min walk to restaurants and bars at night. Excellent pasta at lunchtime, breakfast good (typical buffet affair), Pool excellent although very deep at one end so keep an eye on the kids - they provide towels which is always nice. Rooms are very clean but a little dated, wouldn't take much to spruce them up i.e. new fittings and tiles in the bathrooms. Beach is fantastic as long as you are mobile, we snorkelled off the beach and went diving twice in two days from the hotel located dive centre (good equipment, good quality staff, good bottom conditions and terrain for diving but not as much sea life as i had hoped). All in all an excellent hotel, with a perfect location - will go back again. ONE problem only - the door to the balcony didnt lock, i only found out on last night as i hadn't checked previously - so check on arrival.

Our first visit to the Algarve and the hotel was chosen largely because other members of the family were in rented villas nearby. It was therefore chosen for convenience but more than came up to expectations. It is in a beautiful setting, within walking distance of Carvoeiro and its bars/restaurants yet still far enough away to avoid the bustle of the town. Coastal walks are on your doorstep. Rooms were of a good standard with pleasant balconies facing the sun. Buffet breakfasts had a wide choice and could then be eaten on the restaurant veranda overlooking the pool, cliffs and sea. With the choice of restaurants in town we never ate in the hotel restaurant. There was an indoor and an outdoor pool - they weren't huge but adequate. Given the weather whilst we were there the only choice was to take the sun in the outdoor pool and, although there is a beach down many steps from the hotel, it is tiny and covered by the sea at anything other than low tide. Free internet access was available though sometimes there was a little wait for a spare terminal. The hotel is quite large and does cater for meetings, weddings etc. but overall we found it excellent value and well run. It is probably best suited to couples mainly because of the lack of a beach or pool "toys" such as slides. If you are reasonably active then all the better as there is scuba diving, walks along the cliffs as well as strolls into Carvoeiro. If you want to go further afield then I would suggest that you need a car.

Hotel's location was superb. The staff were friendly at all times. The selection of restaurants and bars and other facilities were very good. Everything was made easy for us with this hotel, they looked after everything we needed without fuss

My wife and I stayed at the Tivoli Hotel, Carviero from 2nd to 7th May. Although, in common with other reports read on the hotel, we found the bathrooms were a little tired and in need of refurbishent this did not detract at all from our enjoyment of the break. The bedrooms and public areas were all very clean and presentable. Staff were all friendly and helpful but particular mention should go to Ricardo, the bell boy who really went out of his way to make us feel welcome

A really superb hotel in a quiet area of the town. The staff were polite,friendly & always willing to assist in any way possible. The views from the restaurant were stunning & the breakfasts were excellent. The rooms were very comfortable & spacious. Free acess to the internet is very beneficial. I & my colleagues would have no hesitation in staying in this hotel again.

we had a wonderful few days,staff very helpful,hotel dated but very comfortable,great choice of food at both breakfast and dinner. We will be back.

Beautiful location if you like rocky beaches and cliffs. Ocean water pool, very deep on one end. The view is to die for. Buffet dinner is nothing special but not bad. Safe lock is available for a fee. Internet can be free in the room if you apply for a free membership in some alliance group. Ample parking. In my opinion it as 4 stars as advertised. Having said that, I have to admit that there is room for improvement. Rooms can be updated in many ways. Location is still very nice, 5 minute walk to town. Very quiet. Would definitely go back.

This place is fantastic. Great staff, pretty nice rooms, good food, but the private beach surrounded by 100 ft cliffs is a unique feature. That alone makes this hotel worth it. I highly recommend staying here if you go to Carveioro.

Arrived 1st week in Sept, still nice and hot. Great view of the cove and sea.. what we came for. Rooms really need updating, but the hotel is in generally very good condition, and relaxed, staff very helpful and friendly. Watch out swmming at the cove, it's not great for less strong swimmers and the sea comes up very quickly. Rent a car and drive to Alvor the beach is a lot better

The hotel has an excellent location the view is outstanding.The room was a good size and cleaning service was excellent the bathroom was in need of an upgrade though .Breakfast buffet had a good selection did not eat in restraunt cant comment.The town is only a short walk away with loads of good places to eat.

Beautiful setting, lovely clean and well serviced hotel. Many facilities - only drawback is the food which is not brilliant but there are some great restaurants very near by.

Bon hotel, bien placé. Restaurant pas terrible, mais je ne cherchais pas le grand luxe.

Отдыхали семьей в июле 2011.Если брать в целом, то отель неплохой. Но впечатление складывается, в том числе, из мелочей, а мелочи здесь говорят порой не в пользу отеля. Здание отеля уже далеко не новое и если косметически оно поддерживается в порядке, то инфраструктура хромает. Кондиционер очень шумный, а временами начинает еще и тарахтеть. То, что в номерах древние телевизоры мне не столь важно, но подушки на кроватях, похоже, такие-же древние и представляют собой кулёк комков - уж не такие большие нужны инвестиции, что бы их обновить. В разгар сезона были дни, когда на завтрак были только консервированные фрукты, а свежие зачастую были совсем не свежие - не раз попадались скисшие кусочки дыни. Ну а в остальном - везде чисто, убираются хорошо, проблем с сервисом не было. Перед этим были в Порто и Лиссабоне: отели 4* нам попались значительно комфортнее этого, к тому же дешевле. Отдельная тема - это расположение: потрясающие виды, уютный пляж в шаговой доступности, небольшой поселок рядом - я считаю, это именно то, зачем нужно ехать в этот отель. Особенно если есть машина и возможность ездить по округе, иначе через несколько дней станет скучно - развлечений рядом не много.

Bien situé, calme, petite crique proche des zones de commerces et restaurants (5 min à pied) décor un peu viellot mais propre ambiance familiale à recommander

Hotel muy recomendable situado encima de una cala pequeña pero preciosa. En los alrededores hay otras calas que hay que visitar. La calidad del agua muy buena limpia y transparente. Carvoeiro con cantidad de sitios para comer o tomar copas. Otros pueblos y ciudades importantes muy cerca por ejemplo Portimao. Hotel con buen nivel de servicios y limpieza. Desayuno tipo buffe muy completo.

Hotellet ligger ca. 10 min. gang fra "downtown" Carvoeiro, hvilket for os var helt perfekt afstand til et stort udvalg af restauranter mm. Hotellet er dermed også fuldstændig ugeneret af larm og har en fantastisk udsigt til en lille privat strand mellem to klipper. Hotellet er lidt slidt, men god service, beliggenhed og fin morgenmad opvejer dette mere end rigeligt. Klart anbefalelsesvrdigt til prisen!

Hemos estado encantados, el entorno es precioso, las habitaciones del hotel son muy espaciosas, hay gran variedad de restaurantes.

Relación calidad precio genial. Muy amables y educados. La habitación muy cómoda y elegante, el WC quizá se podría actualizar algo (grifería etc...) aunque en perfecto estado de funcionamiento. Piscina bonita y con 3m de profundidad en alguna parte. Un playita preciosa casi en exclusiva para el hotel. Desayuno muy bien aunque mejorable. Recomendable.

Excelente localização. Boa oferta de serviços. Hotel com um ambiente muito bom para descanso e lazer.

Um hotel bem honesto nível qualidade preço, bons restaurantes, o staff é muito simpático, a piscina e a pequena prainha fazem ter pouca vontade de sair do hotel. Ótimo para quem tem crianças

sobre una cala, con centro de buceo, piscina con vistas... muy bueno. tuvimos problemas de ruido y la primera noche nos cambiaron de habitación. malo: colas en el dsesayuno y madrugar para las tumbonas...

Hotel tres confortable tout était là pour se détendre, de la plage privée, au copieux buffet, à la chambre nickel et pas un français...juste de chaudes recommendations

Vi, en famile på to voksne og to barn på 6 og 7 år, hadde en kjempefin uke på Hotel Tivoli i mai dette år. Hotellet har en perfekt beliggenhet i forhold til våre krav, gangavstand til sentrum av Carvoiro med ett utall av gode restauranter. Hotellet kan anbefales på det sterkeste for familer som reiser med små barn.

Vår familie på 6 bestilte 3 doble rom i påsken 2011. God temmperatur for soling og bading. Rommene var store med bra hygiene. God frokost bufe. Unik og overveldene beligenhet ved Atlanterhavet. Frodig og flott natur med mange vårblomster. Vestover hyggelig liten kystby 10 min gange fra hotellet med mange koselige retauranter. 10 min gange østover flott strand. Vi ble hentet med hotellets minibuss kl 23.30 på flyplassen. Ca 45 min tur. 85 euro. Hjem tok vi buss fra hotellet til Lagoa. 15 min. Deretter 3 timers fin busstur til Lisboa. Vi anbefaler hotellet.

Acabo de regresar de una estancia de 5 dias en este hotel y vengo muy contento. El hotel esta situado en un enclave precioso y desde él hemos realizado multitud de desplazamientos para visitar lugares próximos de gran belleza. Altamente recomendable.

ES UN PUNTO DESDE EL QUE SE PUEDE DISFRUTAR DE TODO EL ALGARBE. VISTAS ESPLENDIDAS.

A nice place in a beautiful little bay. It´s a fair and quiet hotel, with lots of restaurants close to it. I like it.

A recepção foi excelente, a simpatia dos funcionários foi excelente. Os serviços do hotel muito bons. Gostamos de ter estado aí e iremos voltar com certeza.

Muy buena atención de todo el personal. Nos dieron una habitacion con vistas al mar (habiamos reservado con vistas al campo de golf). Buena calidad de buffet del desayuno. Hotel en buen estado y vistas preciosas.
