Hotel Mitland - أوترخت

I only stayed two nights on a business trip to do an exam in the University. I did find it close by. I had dinner in their Resturant and it was quite reasonable and in a very nice location over looking the lake.. I have to say the breakfast was very poor with very little choices. I had an Omlette and that wasn't great!! The swimming pool is very small so is the saunna and steam room but clean.. The changing rooms are mixed.. I don't like that... Overall for a two days stay was an OK place but I have to say for a longer period I won't stay there!!

We chose this hotel as we can easily get there by car yet quite easy to get to the centre of Utrecht on public transport. I like the jogging trail and the routes for jogging and biking. Pleasant views over Fort De Bilt. Nice hotel, helpful staff, comfortable, reasonably priced. They were very helpful and efficient when I emailed them to ask if we could check in early.

Ideally situated for work - nicefriendly and clean hotel

Having stayed several places in Utrecht, I must say that Mitland is my preferred hotel. Everything is nice, rooms, restaurant, staff. Only drawback is the location, that although nicely situated around woods and a lake is somewhat outside the city center.

This hotel feels like it's recently been refurbished, and the rooms are confortable, but more could be done. The fan in the bathroom never switches off, and, along with the air conditioner, which burbles away all night even when off, got annoying after a while. The bed was very bouncy, which is great for some people, but not me; and the pillows were so big and hard that I ended up getting rid of them and sleeping on a rolled up towel. Breakfast was excellent but pricey at €19 including tax. Location is on the edge of Utrecht, and my view from the window was of a busy main road. I had a comedy moment when I asked for a ironing board and iron. The iron was fine, but I don't expect a 4* hotel to bring me a broken, battered ironing board with bits hanging off. The cover was stained and burned and not actually attached to the board. And it was so bent and mangled that it wouldn't stand up straight. Sound proofing was poor - my room was at the end of corridor, so no-one would have been passing, but I heard lots of people returning to their rooms in the evening after I'd gone to bed, disturbing my sleep.

The hotel was clean and comfortable, just out the way for me. The walk to the center of town was about 20 minutes, and it is not that big of a city. If you want peace and quiet, or perhaps a conference location, this would be ideal.

We chose this hotel for it's apparent leafy location some 20 minutes walk ( less actually) from the sights of Utrecht. The Hotel Mitland was a nice enough place, efficient, pleasant staff, well appointed room, big telly, Blue Ray, comfy beds, hot baths etc but I was slightly disappointed on the whole. It felt abit souless. We didn't take breakfast which wasn't included in the deal and cost 15 euros if you wanted it- bit steep. Utrecht is a pleasant enough town for a visit and the Mitland is a good hotel but nothing special. Lots of technology in the rooms including an alarmed minibar but only paper cups to drink it out of. Details.

Really nice hotel, great spot for relaxing by the water. It is quite a walk from the centre of town, but there is a regular bus service. Bike hire is twice as expensive as it is from town, €15 per day, when you can pay €6 at the train station. Breakfast is €15.50 each, and while there are a lot of options, this quickly adds €30 to your nightly room rate... Overall a nice place, just beware of the extras.

A very good location for visiting the city, popular with business and tourists alike it seems. Breakfasts were excellent and the general facilities kept a 15 and a 11 yo occupied and when they got tired we had a game of 10 pin bowling - fantastic!!! The parents were stress free!!

The hotel is out of the town but is on a very good bus route and easy to get to by car, the surrounding area is very nice and peaceful. We had a family room and it was lovely, very spacious and very well equipped. The staff were always very helpful. We enjoyed using the on site bowling alley one night and the pool another night.

Overall very satisfied. If visiting Utrecht again this is where we would stay. The hotel was clean and comfortable, the staff were helpful. We noted that the breakfast was expensive but we weren't having breakfast there anyway.

We loved our time here. It was a nice relaxing stay outside of the usual tourist hotspots. The facility was great, with large rooms and bathroom. The gym, spa, sauna, steam room and swimming pool are a fantastic way to unwind, particularly with the lovely river view out the window. Friendly staff too. Our airconditioner was broken and leaked water onto the carpet constantly, but other than that, a minor detail, it was basically bliss.

The only negative issue withthe room was thatthe air conditiner did not work. The weather was very hot during our stay and the room was so hot that sleeping was nearly impossible. When I reported it the next morning there was little action taken other than to bring a fan to the room and intyructions on how to use the air conditioner. We had set the air conditioner properly, it just wasn't working and later the second night it "leaked" all over the inside of the room. However, other than the air conditionier issue and the very hard mattress on the bed the hotel is conveinetly located, staff pleasant, rooms clean and the area around the hotel is very nice.

What a beautiful modern hotel. Everything was perfect and new. Close to everything in Utrecht, but surrounded by nature. I was not expecting anything like this for the price.

Initial impressions were not great - a 50's-style hotel that looked like it was going to be the same on the inside (also, not easy to locate). However, the room was excellent - very comfortable, spacious and modern. The front-desk staff need much more training - I had to call my credit-card company in North America on a 'collect' basis, and they had no idea about how to make this happen (in fact, even after they 'researched' the issue and thought they had the answer, it remained impossible). The result was that I spent close to $50 on long-distance calls that should not have cost me anything.

I booked here for a night and had a great stay. Hotel room was wonderful, restaurant was very good and staff very accommodating. I felt cold, so they sent someone to check and gave an extra duvet- which was amazing. All in all hotel very nice, about 10 minutes walk from the nearest bus stop. Took a cab which was about 13 euros

We found the hotel personnel very helpful and friendly. It is surrounded by water with ducks and really quite and peaceful. Although it is not in town it is a short walk if you enjoy walking. Breakfast was also very good. Would make use of this hotel again should we ever return to the Netherlands.

We stayed at this hotel for one night on an October half -term trip with our two boys ( 5 & 7) principly because it had a bowling alley which was great for the boys (OK and us!!). The hotel website doesn't really do the place justice and this was the best of the 4 hotels we stayed in. Great family room (effectively a suite where our portion could be sectioned off.) overllooking the lake at the rear with a proper balcony. Very clean and a bathroom with two basins and a separate bath and shower. Hotel has a small but very well maitained indoor pool as well free sauna and steam room. Jacuzzi and sunbed has to paid for but were also very clean. Tiny gym for those who feel the need but there is a 2.5km jogging route around the lake behind the hotel which is much nicer. Staff very efficient and friendly ( a good morning from everyone). Only slight grumble was food wasn't quite up to the 4 star standard of the hotel but was fine for a family meal for one night. Definately going to use this hotel again and may even base ourselves here next trip.

At first I was a little affraid from the location of the hotel because me and my girlfriend dont have a car. but the bus station is 5 min walk and with bicycle renting is just 15 min from the center of the city. this hotel worth every penny! we took a rook with view to the lake! very romantic, quiet. the hotel rooms are beautiful! Go there!

Located on a small lake in a park setting about 4km outside of Utrecht. Friendly staff great room.

Staying at this hotel fro a weekend break was such a wonderful surprise. The location is fabulous in surrounding countryside, on the edge of a canal/lake and with a multitude of country walks and cycling paths available. The room was very comfortable and as we had our 8 year old son we were pleasantly surprised to find the hotel a had installed a proper bed for him instead of the usual pop up (we did pre warn them he was coming but the service was exemplary). Also, the hotel has it's own ten pin bowling alleys to offer an additional experience (for free). We used the hotel as a base for travelling into Utrecht and also into Amsterdam, both easily reachable from the hotel location. Looking forward to returning again.

車での家族旅行に利用したが、ユトレヒトの郊外で運河越しに羊が見える良い眺めの部屋でゆっくりできた。レストランからの眺めも良い。ホテル以外での食事には、車での移動が必要だった。

aan de rand vd stad. Snelweg vlakbij. Centrum met OV bereikbaar, maar vooral gericht op zakelijk verblijf voor nabije kantoren. Goed & betaalbaar restaurant. Jammer van zoemende koelkast op kamer.

The hotel was nice enough but there was practically no natural ventilation in the room. The view was great, I imagine it must be even better in summer. Regarding cleanliness, the hotel should go through there routines with some more elaborate cleaning once in a while to remove dust from the odd spots and such.

Das Hotel ist sehr geeignet für Familien mit Kindern, hat Schwimmbad, Fitness, Bowling, ist in der Nähe von einem Park. Nur die Einrichtung des Hotels ist sehr alt, wie abgenutzt, aber sauber.

Helt greit, men litt harde senger til å sove der 14 dager i strekk..

Välbeläget och bra hotell i centrala Holland. Utmärkt som affärshotell, enda negativa är att hotellet kräver 50 Euro deposition vid incheckning.

My third stay here. Do not expect to be in the city center though, But if you enjoy nature this is the place: the hotelmis by a lake, it has a pool and also bring your trainers if you want to go jogging in the park. Good retaurant and bar, and top your stay bowling.. VERY IMPORTANT: high speed internet for free.

vi restef för bil-semester. Här fick vi nära till huvudleder, park för motion, trevlig personal, god frukost och middag. Restaurangens personal och kvaliteten på maten var lite ojämn. Excellent Tournedos, kall och seg entrecôte, vissa servitörer pratade flytande engelska, vissa ingen engelska. Fin ljus swimmingpool, men liten och bastu med trevlig kallvatens-hink dusch utanför. Minimalt men modernt fräscht gym med 1 viktmaskin, 1 treadmill, 1 cross trainer, 1 motionscykel. Vårt rum låg på gatuplan med helväggs-glasfönster, folk passerar rakt utanför och ser rakt in, rekommenderar rum högre upp. Parkeringsavgiften var skälig. Frukost vae medeldyr. Gratis wifi. Uteplatser vid ån såg lovande ut om man kommer hit på vår/sommar och parken lär vara trevlig efter lövsprickningen.

Rene og moderne rom. Litt trekk for eldre og litt vel hard madrass. Jeg liker å ligge hardt, men det får være grenser. Hotellet er imøtekommende og stiller opp med ekstra madrassunderlag bare man spør dem. Bodde der en uke til sammen. Hadde det virkelig bra - for en brøkdel av prisen på andre hoteller i området. Fikk ikke prøvd så mange hotellfasiliteter etter som jeg underviste lange dager. Gratis internett på rommet av høy kvalitet.

Eu e minha esposa gostamos bastante do hotel. Nos hospedamos no Mitland no final de dezembro de 2012. Foi uma experiência bastante agradável, o hotel possui boa localização - apenas 15 minutos a pé do centro-, além de contar com ótima infraestrutura e excelente staff. Os recepcionistas são muito educados e amáveis. Os quartos são bons, possuem cama confortável, além de banheira. A vista do lago é linda e excelente para quem busca descanso e uma paisagem bucólica.

I have been to the hotel in 3 occasions, always on business. The hotel is not in the city center, but it is perfect if you want to be close to nature and still near the city. Nice breakfast, pool, and bring your swimsuit! The restaurant is also fine with good food and the price is really alright. For my business trips, it is a good choice so that I can relax after the meetings.

I was there unfortunately during the only week of snow per year (I am from Norway so I was looking forward to stay there without snow). The hotel is too far away from every service, also too distant from public transport.

Bonjour, Je suis rentre hier , bel hotel reception agreable mais bon femme de menage qui rigole deviant notre chambre le matin,qui be met pas de papier roulette quand c vide,sa vaut pas un 4etoiles les chambers sont au niveau de campanile en France

Väl designat hotell, stort rum, rent och tyst. Min enda anmärkning var att man fick gå en bit från bussen till hotellet på en obelyst skum gångväg/parkering. Skyltningen till hotellet var dålig så jag gick för långt och befann mig plötsligt under en viadukt vid en motorväg. Klockan var inte mycket men omgivningen kändes inte så bra. Om man har mycket bagage bör man ta taxi till detta hotell.

It is an excellent hotel, very clean, quiet & comfortable; my room is a 4-beds room with a view to a small lake; facilities in the hotel are excellent with fitness, swimming pool, and 2 types of sauna. We will definitely go back.
