How fortunate we were to find a clean, comfortable room right in the heart of Old Montreal, with a staff that's friendly and helpful. A wonderful breakfast is included in their reasonable room rate. What more can we ask for? We won't need to shop around on our next trip to Montreal; we'll just call the Bonaparte.

My husband and I stayed at Hotel Bonaparte in mid-December 2011. The staff were very helpful and the location was very convenient to all the sights and not far from metro. I especially liked the hot tea they offered when we returned each afternoon from sightseeing. I highly recommend the restaurant in their hotel. Dinner there was excellent. The breakfast is fabulous - try to get a window table. Warning - if you want to use the metro, they only accept canadian dollars or canadian credit cards!

The staff was very helpful and friendly. This might be the cleanest hotel room I've ever stayed in. The breakfast (included in room price) was excellent. Also, it is in a great location.

This place is beautiful, offers the service and friendliness of a 5-star hotel and is located in Old Montreal - surrounded by many outstanding restaurants, shops and boutiques. There is no better place to stay. With all of the independent businesses, as mentioned above, it is a perfect getaway location.

Lovely hotel located conveniently in Old Montreal just behind Notre Dame. Lots of great places nearby to eat, drink and see and easy to get to transit to explore the rest of the city. Staff were very friendly, and the included breakfast was a nice way to start each day. Highly recommended.

The hotel was easy to find and we were welcomed and settled in without hassle. The people at the front desk said they would welcome any tourism questions and they did. They were very helpful. The room was quaint and had an authentic feel. It was clean and roomy. The breakfast was good but small. The breakfast staff was efficient and polite. A good choice!

Wonderful staff with excellent recommendations. Great location. Clean, comfortable room. Breakfast at the hotel was delicious, too.

Close to all Old Town Montreal sites and a taste of European charm. A very nice hotel with large, clean rooms, an excellent restaurant and friendly people working there. The owner even drove us to another restaurant in the area because it was very cold and we wanted something more casual than the hotel's restaurant.

It was everything I expected, considering the high ratings. Rooms were small but nicely furnished and clean. The hotel had an air of something out of 1900 but with all the amenities of today. The location is great, situated in the old Montreal. Would definitely stay there again.

On a cobblestone street within walking distance of the great restaurants, museums, the waterfront of St Lawrence river and wonderful old French architecture.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Auberge Bonaparte. This boutique hotel is in a perfect location in old Montreal. Wonderful staff and concierge always available to assist. Spotlessly clean, wonderful full breakfast included and top rated restaurant to have dinner.

Hotel Bonaparte was so much more than expected &we've stayed in 4 & 5 star hotels. Very convenient location. Walked to all areas of interest in Old Town. Room was quaint,quiet, and charming. Does not have the impersonal feel of larger hotels. We had taken a chance via Internet to find this and hit the jackpot. Mgr. Michael Banks & all staff went out of their way to accommodate our needs. We have already recommended this hotel to relatives & are planning a longer return.

The Bonaparte was a delight and the receptionist and restaurant staff were efficient and very helpful. Our room faced onto the street with windows which opened out and was tastefully decorated. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom modern. The Bonaparte is situated in the old part of town just near the cathedral so easy walking distance to all the sights. It is a quaint boutique hotel and our breakfast was the best we had in our 5 weeks of travelling. We had just come off a cruise from Boston so we had been eating very well but the breakfast at Bonaparte was very french and delightful to say the least. I would recommend Bonaparte to young and old.

Hotel room was immaculate, nicely furnished, hotel appeared to be recently renovated, painted and redecorated. It is a small "boutique" hotel, all furnishings are modern, bathroom was spacious and sparkling clean. Comfortably air conditioned in spite of 90 degree outside temp. Staff was friendly and helpful. We were upgraded at no additional cost to a king size bed which was very comfortable. Room was very quiet; we heard not a sound from within the hotel or the outside. Conveniently located in the old city. Includes an excellent restaurant, reservations recommended, fine food, nicely served, courteous staff. Complimentary cooked breakfast in the same dining room is included -- very good.

We were extremely pleased with this hotel, where we stayed for 4 nights. We have stayed in hotels in Europe, and the Bonaparte had that old world, European feel. Our room was clean and bright, with high ceilings and large windows, which opened up to the cobblestone street below. The Bonaparte is squarely in the old city, with the Notre Dame basilica right around the corner. We were very near a number of good restaurants (would recommend Le Jardin Nelson and Stash, which are both nearby) The desk staff was extremely friendly and helpful, though we knew little French. They went out of their way to research via internet or phone any information we needed. The complimentary hot breakfast was nicely done and service was excellent and respectful. A very good value, and we would definitely stay there again. We stayed in July, however, and it was very hot and humid. Also, lots of walking involved, so bring good shoes. We found cabs to be very expensive, especially with the frequent traffic jams in the city. However, we used the subway often, as it is clean and easily negotiated.

This is a nice hotel in a central, but quite area of old Montreal. The room was spacious and comfortable, except for the wrought-iron furniture, which are east to bump into. Breakfast was included and served in the nice restaurant, but portions are small.
