The location was great, but our room was next to a vending machine and ice machine which were very loud. There was also something going on with the air conditioning which caused constant very annoying noise. We did not sleep well at all which is disappointing considering the high price of the room.

My boyfriend and I stayed in this hotel for a Boston staycation. It was in a great location for the activities we had planned for the weekend. The room was clean and comfortable, especially the king-sized bed. My only complaint about the room was that the water pipes in the room next to or above us were very loud and when the other guests showered it woke us up at around 6am on a Saturday. The next night we closed the bathroom door and it was much quieter. Other than that, we had a lovely time and enjoyed our stay. The women working at the front desk were friendly and helpful, and held our bags for us while we walked around town after check-out.

great spot, great room, great service . what can be better ?

We stayed at the Marriot Courtyard and it was a perfect location. However, when we booked it, we booked for three adults. The room with one king size bed came up with option of a foldaway bed. So we booked it. However, when we got in the room, there was no room for a foldaway bed so one of us ended up sleeping upright on a chair all night. Also, the heat only blew cold air into the room, leaving one of us returning with quite a cold.

A very cosy, comfortable hotel in a convenient location. I did notice some noise overnight, but this was with the air conditioning off; might well not have noticed with it on. Might have been better in higher room, but wanted a tub, and 4th was as high as that would allow on the day. Charming helpful staff. Very good breakfast in a homely dining area. Limited facilities as a smaller hotel, but free wi-fi internet appreciated. Would definitely stay again.

Had a fantastic stay at the Marriott 88 Exeter St,great position in Back Bay,the best breakfast and service and cleanliness were impeccable.Would recommend it to everyone! I will return.WR

I will strongly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Boston. The location is amazing, very close to Copley Square but it's on a very quit street. Subway station is only 5 minutes away. The standard room we had was larger than most hotel rooms that we had stayed at. It was also very cleaned. The bathroom was large and comfortable. No noise from rooms next to ours which usually is my complaint when staying at hotels. The breakfast was good. Free internet both in rooms and the lobby.

Small but comfortable room in a great location-close to the subway and an easy walk to many attractions. Small fridge in the room was nice but didn't work very well.

My family and I loved this hotel and would stay here again when in Boston. The neighborhood is very safe and well-located. The subway is a block away, the hotel is right across the street from the beautiful public library and also just across the street from Copley Place and the Prudential Center for shopping and restaurants. The hotel is clean and quiet and the staff was very polite and helpful. The breakfast buffet was very good, and we appreciated access to the self-serve washer/dryer. My son had an exceptionally comfortable rollaway bed.

favorite place to stay in boston, have been going there for 5 years now. will always stay there. staff is helpful, hotel is clean, the promixity to the city events is perfect.

The Courtyard Marriot is in a great location in Copley Square, close to the Prudential Center and Newbury Street. The T stop is also closeby so the convenience factor really shines. The hotel rooms are pretty large, very comfortable and are very affordable considering the location. The service was excellent. We utilized the valet service to park our car. Overall, a great experience. I would stay here again.

good hotel and good location.

A very clean hotel with expanded continental breakfast. Least expensive alternative in the Copley Square area. No pool, no exercise room, but clean and convenient. Will stay there again.

My husband and I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. We were mostly out and about touring Boston by foot, which by the way is an outstanding city. This hotel was located in Back Bay 2 minutes by foot to Newbury St or a subway stop and directly across from the Prudential Center. Our first night we wandered down the street to a nearby pub. It was OK, but we were looking for more local "authentic" places and not chains. From what we saw, there were a lot of chain stores and restaurants in that area, so if you're looking for something different to eat, I'd go to Faneuil Square or the North End, which are a few stops on the subway train. Newbury St is very quaint and pretty upscale. In terms of hotel comfort, it was a clean and comfortable hotel with the basics you'd expect. We got the Godiva package, which was an OK deal. Although we had to remind the receptionist that we signed up for that, but once we did she promptly brought us our breakfast vouchers and box of chocolates etc. The room was quiet, clean, and comfortable, but the toilet had some issues flushing. Breakfast was surprisingly good, with a variety of foods and fruits to choose from. Overall, we were there to spend money on sights and dining, not on a hotel experience. This is a reliable choice for a sightseeing couple or group of friends/family. We'd stay there again.
