Lauderdale Beachside Hotel - لاودردايل باي ذا سي

My experience here was not a good one. Not only were the rooms dirty. The microwave didn't work. The tv kept shutting off. The closet door was broke. The mattress was filthy and stained. The sheets had sand in them when we got there. We found someone's wallet in the room. The first night there was a drinking party right outside of room from the people staying next to us. We woke up to beer bottles everywhere and vomit all over our outdoor furniture. We couldn't even let the children outside to play because if this. It only took the staff 2 hours to come clean it up. But they didn't do it very well. When talking to one of the staff members about the vomit in the sand, he replied, the birds will clean that up. How nasty!!! The first day we stayed the toilet was not working correctly at all. when the second guy came to look at it...he was rude!!! He asked what I put in the toilet and kept plunging. Water was all over the seat and floor... He just walked out and said nothing. Left his mess there for us to clean up. When telling the front desk of this....they did nothing. No apologies or anything. Not a place to have a family vacation. But if you want a dirty nasty party place. This is the place to go.

I not recommend this hotel a no one false advertise they have 2 buildings and just show the one next to the beach the rooms is very poor this is my first time and last we suppose stay 3 knits and we cancel one so we don't loose all the pay May ,3,4 2013

No lock or handle on sliding patio door, no tub mat, painted wallpaper peeling from wall staff was friendly buti would never stay again due to the seriously miserable condition of the property. The continental breakfast in the dining rm had darkened moldy ceiling panels all over the ceiling, actually pretty disgusting. The staff was friendly

This hotel is a complete fail house. There were holes in the wall, mold on the ceiling, no lid on the back of the toilet, a broken security bar on the door, and significant stains on the sheets of the mattress. On top of this there was no working lock on the 'lobby' door, which meant that anyone could come or go from the building. Now I like a dive motel, and have stayed at a lot of those such places, but this by far has to be the worst I've ever been to. Additionally, we were going to a conference that weekend, and this was an 11pm check in for us. The staff was rude, and seemed to be upset that we were bothering them at all. Then the next day the lobby guest staff was calling guests to give them complimentry gifts for staying that day, yet when I asked if we could get one of the cheap little coupon books for having stayed, I was told that it was only for people staying at the 'resort' overnight, despite having paid for a full night already. The only redeeming quality was the fact that this place was right on the beach. Even the bar was closed in the mid afternoon when we were there. I wouldn't stay there again if you paid me.

not impressed at all

The hotel has a lot of potential, but is the housekeeping does not do their job (my room was dirty and smelly). The hotel also need some UPDATED MATRESSES. Old, deteriorated matreses, as well as the sheets. MANAGEMENT, PLEASE DO YOUR JOB!! This hotel has a GREAT LOCATION AND BIG ROOMS why would you let such small things chase away your clientele.

You get what you paid for.Good location, by the beach.

The hotel was so filthy, it smelled dirty since we got it the lobby, the room smelled like dirt also it was so old, the bathroom was disgusting, didn't want to use the toilet, the bathtub was al rusted, had to take a shower with flip flops and the water didn't drain, the water was all packed up!!! We are never staying there again!!!!!!

The pool was so dirty we could not get in it and out rooms were nothing like the picture, do not stay here

It was filthy and dirty and not enough channels on television

The customer service was great she was very very helpful, the bath room can be updated , I would Go back because of the customer service.

Hallways were filled with a heavy smell of bleach. The door was in such a bad shape that closing and locking was always a hassle. Stayed there for a night, but did not sleep well, because of loud voices in the hallway and constant door slamming until 6:00am! The only good thing was the proximity to the beach.

When we walked into the room, we noticed that two of the pillow cases hadn't been changed after the previous hotel guest left. We called housekeeping and they sent someone with clean pillow cases and just handled it to us, instead of changing them. Then we noticed that the bed sheets were full of holes, but didn't bother to call back, because they would have probably handled us another one and we didn't feel like having to change the bed sheets ourselves. During the three days we stayed there, not once they came to our room to clean it. They just put a bag with clean towels and some toiletry in the door nob and left it there. The room had a big hole in the wall, covered with a piece of paper and painted over. You could see many cracks in the wall. The only thing this hotel has is location, other than that, if you are looking for comfort, or cleanliness go somewhere else.

We left the hotel before staying overnight. The pool was dirty, the advertised poolside bar was closed down, there were no wash cloths or small towels in the restroom. All in all, not what I have come to expect from hotels.com properties.

I wasn't expecting much from this hotel considering I booked it the same day. Theyneed to seriously consider updating their rooms. Not to increase the price, but so the customer can have comfort that their room is clean and fresh. This should be especially important because of the bed bugs outbreak sweeping vacation cities.

your in college, you want a great location on the beach close to nightlife, a place to drink, sun and sleep...this is a great place...but if your on business and think your going to find a nice quiet location to take a nap, get some rest and get some work done....forget it

Location, location, location - couldn't ask for a better location. Room was adequate, but we were right on the beach.

I suppose for the cost it wasn't that bad. However you might be better off renting an apartment for the same price which is what we ended up doing. We stayed during march so of course there were loud and drunk teenagers playing terrible music by the pool; the walls were paper thin and you could hear them, and someone's dog the entire night. As far as the room goes it was alright, there was some loose carpeting which I tripped on. Also the shower drain was covered in rust and looked very dirty. The cleaning arrives early, since we were still sleeping I told the women we didn't need her service and gave her our dirty towels, she said she would come back with clean ones but never did. On anther occasion there was no knock and the cleaning woman opened our door completely while we were still sleeping. We stayed for only a short time but aside from the location it wasn't all that great.

Not all the rooms of this property have balconies, only the backside of both buildings. The restaurant on the picture is gone and vacant. The poolside bar and grill is also closed down, and the general overall condition of the property is run down and in need of remodeling.

It was under partial renovation but stay was excellent. Surrounding area was perfect with supermarkets bars restaurants at a walking distance.

bathroom door rusty,2 threadbare towels and washcloths,microwave did not work,could not get a cup to make tea or coffee,no sink stopper,breakfast was very poor,went out the second day.

I would have rathered spending my $120.00 in a Days inn

Everything about the place was great except that their were no towels in the room and the batteries in the remote died. When we went to ask the front desk they said they couldn't get the batteries because the maintenance guy had just left for the night.

could use better towels and cleaner bed spreads, little maintenance in the bathroom, but the view was fantastic.

I stayed here for one night and couldn't wait to leave. I was charged $10 for an early check in fee which was only an hour or so early. Get to the room and its really shabby and in bad shape. Bathroom towels were old and dirty looking. Bed was very bad. Tv. has hardly any channels. Location is in crowded part of the beach so driving is a headache. No upsides to staying at this hotel. Parking is free.

Very friendly staff

Outdated. Needs a great deal of renovating. A fair value for the price.

Hotel is old and barely updated to minimum standards, price was not worth the experience, I would not stay there again.

Need better bed condition , better towels in general more quality stuff

We booked a beachfront room. Upon arrival, we were told beachfront was sold out. Another clerk pointed out a room beachside that was available and when we got to the room, we found a present in the toilet. My husband attempted to flush it and the toilet would not flush. Called front desk, asked for another room. Once we arrived at the front desk, they offered for the maintenance man to look at the toilet. Obviously the bathroom had not been cleaned or someone may have noticed the toilet. So we took a room on the first floor of the main building. No remote for tv, no towels, and most of the furniture was beat up and falling apart. The exterior doors leading outside never lock (so security is nil). The shower was also a mess, within 2 minutes of my shower I was standing in murky water up to my ankles. Both buildings are in bad condition as were both rooms we saw, plus the lobby. I would not stay here again, regardless of the beach access.

Its not a hotel I would reccommend unless you really can't afford anything else. Its run down, the tv was broken, theres no phone in the rooms, and my bathroom wasn't completely clean and the towels and bed linens are way too old and need serious refreshing. The pillows looked so worn and gross i had to put a towel over the pillow because i was afraid to get gross germs on my head.

Thought that this would be a great rate and location. I was wrong. The actual "ocean view" is considered an "upgrade" and is a completely different building. The staff was not friendly at all, the building is poorly maintained, the bathrooms had rust in the tub, and all of the metal fixtures. Basically, do not stay here unless absolutely have to. I would not recommend this hotel to any of my family/friends, and I will likely never stay here again.

Very comfortable one night stay. Very quiet area, direct access to beach. I had a nice terrace facing the pool and beach. Very nice breakfast with fresh fruit. The bed was comfortable. I slept like a baby after a late night flight. Conveniece of nearby shopping and friendly front desk staff.

I stayed on the Beach Front side of the hotel, and had an awesome view of the beach! The location was 10 min walking distance to the Pier and bars, and restaurants. The hotel bathroom shower didn't work great, and they took their time with bringing the towels, but overall they had friendly staff. Definitely a great spot to get some time in the sun, and enjoy a great ocean view.

This was the worst hotel ever. The only reason that I did not leave was that it was New Year's Eve and no other hotels had rooms available. The lobby has open and dirty ceiling tiles with wiring and plumbing exposed. After the third room that I was offered I finally cleaned the bathroom myself! The first room actually had an empty beer can left behind by housekeeping. Both days that we were there was a fight to get clean towels. They had no clue at the front desk what was happenening with housekeeping and housekeeping had no supplies or linens for the guests. There are hazardous materials signs posted on the exterior doors of rooms at this hotel. The staff is clueless!!!

I would never stay there again even tho the location is OK. Dirty, torn linen, no blanket, they advised me to cover up with the bedspread, hard like a rock pillows. Filthy bath tub, broken shower head. Floor is filthy and sticky. Called, complained with no results. Couldn't cancel, had to stay 3 nights.

Had a night to kill in Ft Lauderdale and I chose this beach hotel for the night. Great location (i walked to a nearby corner that had 4-6 different restaurant choices), the girl at the front desk was super nice and helpful, and the room was clean. My only complaint was that the A/C room unit was very loud, it took me a little extra time to fall asleep as I got used to the noise.

Very good hotel my husband and i enjoyed our stay!

This hotel was pretty bad from the beginning, took an hour to check in due to clerk being on phone. Then they do not have cribs, as site stated they do. So no sleep for anyone. Then the room was fair in appearance, though not clean, also toilet did not flush and elevator only worked half the time. The room did have a good location, beach was beautiful. Would not recommend.

Terrible room!!!!! The beach was right outside so that made it worthwhile for us. I would probably find another place to stay if I were to be in the area again.

Terrible. Shower was nasty, old and broken. No towels in the room! (found this out after taking a shower). Doors were broken. Avoid this place!!

My first night there was one towel and it looked used. The slider door opened onto a roof and the door wouldn't lock. The desk clerk couldn't see the problem telling me no one would come in. I insisted on a new room or fix it. Maintenance came up and fixed it along with putting a latch on the door to the hall which was missing. No wash clothes first night. Only thing comfortable and clean was the bed. No attention to detail or pride in their work. As much as I wanted to be near the beach I rather stay more inland and get a better place for less money.

Excellent LocatioN! Beach is behind it, lots of parking, grocieries and food places across the street! You can't go wrong wtih that. Except the staff made me wait until 3pm to check in, saying the rooms were all getting cleaned. 5 others checked in before me, in front of me and she did not even look my way to tell me that it was ok to check in. (felicia) the room had one very thin and hard towel. you had to check out the other towels from the front desk, even if you were going to just use it to swim. the manager was talking on his cell phone and walked away in the middle of checking someone in. the very cheap velour blanket had a cigarette burn hole on it. the room was clean but super worn. rust on the door, in the bathroom, mildew in the tub, just overall unpleasant but i only stayed tehre for 4-5 hours to sleep between cruise and catching a flight, so not too shabby. hence, the 2 stars = 1 star for bed being soft and comfy) + 1 star for location. no star for friendliness of staff however.
