Hotelrestaurant Auerstein - هايدلبرغ

My overall impression is an average hotel. Not business class, but also not bad, clean and helpful staff. The front-desk (which is not really at the front) has limited opening hours, I could not find an emergency exit in addition to one main stair case and the rooms are rather simple, although everything is there. Free wifi is a plus, just as the pretty good restaurant on the ground floor.

This was the most disappointing hotel in all our travelling experiences. The top room (yelllow) was shoddy, there was a hole in the wall, the room was beyond tiny, the furniture was poor, wallpaper peeling. The picture on the website must have been taken with a wide angle lens. We have never walked out of anywhere before. We did here! The restaurant however seemed excellent.

Nice clean room. No parking. Good breakfast. We stayed in the large room on the top (4th floor). No elevator. No within walking distance of the sites.

Nice recently renovated rooms ,friendly staff and excelent food at the hotel's restaurant, the breakfast buffet gets a bit boring after a few days though.The hotel need to press on house keeping some ( me and my brother stayed a whole week in a room and nobody changed our bed sheets) ,but over all it is clean.

When we arrived at the hotel, there was no receptionist, we did not know were to book in. At a later stage the restaurant lady gave us a key and directed us to the room. The room was beautiful and spacious.

My room was small but comfortable with a nice walk-in shower. Breakfast was included with the room and they laid out a nice spread. The fraulein handling breakfast was very friendly and helpful. There is an S-Bahn stop down the street and the hotel sold discount tickets in the restaurant. It's a short ride from the hotel to the center of town; i.e., Bismarkplatz and the Hauptstrasse for shopping, dining, sightseeing (Heidelberg Castle) and the Neckar River. I was very familiar with the area as I had lived in Heidelberg for 12 years (early 80's to mid 90's). The only minor inconveniences associated with the hotel were a lack of parking, no check-in or check-out desk, and no elevator.

Clean and nice. The breakfast was fantastic. Only problem is no elevator ... but that is okay if you are on a lower floor.

It was a clean room, nice garden area to sit at, great free breakfast that included rolls, jams, meats, juices, coffee, eggs, fruit, yogurt, etc. there are no lifts/ elevators so you will climb stairs to get to your room. It was most important for me that the room be clean and it was.

The picture says it all. Nice old hotel from the 1800s. Well kept. Clean. Modern fixtures. Short tram ride to the historical center of town. Tram stop right outside the hotel door. GREAT STAFF. Best things: + Absolutely FANTASTIC staff. A staff person let me use an office computer to print my airline ticket. Even though I made reservations on Hotels.com, the desk clerk set me up the night before with the tower room. We talked on the phone. + Tower room is large by Europe standards. + Nice hardwood floors make the room seem extra clean. + Modern bathroom fixtures--very new. + Windows everywhere! The room was like a great little apartment with a nice view to the street. + Downtown Tram stops outside the door. The hotel clerk sold me a two-person, two-day tram ticket which made using the system absolutely painless. + FREE Internet! (but kind of slow) + Easy street parking for FREE. Worst + Great view comes with a little noice, but suprisingly little given the location. + Long climb up a spiriling stairway to the tower room. This was hard with heavy bags. Not recommended for anyone with mobility problems. Note: During out day-before-checking telephone call the clerk made it very clear about the stairs, so it certainly wasn't a suprise. + Slow internet in the tower room.

My husband,two adult daughters and I enjoyed a plesant visit at this hotel in early September. We were pleased with the overall condition and service at the hotel. The daytime staff was very helpful and made every effort to make our stay enjoyable. Rooms(we had two) were clean and adequate. The bathrooms were small, but very clean and always had an adequate amount of hot water for showers. The morning buffet was very pleasant. My husband and I are both in our 60's and had no problem with the stairs. We found the stairs to be common in most buildings that we visited. We would have preferred being a little closer to the main shopping area, but the trams were a nice experience too. We would gladly use this hotel again.

Stayed at the hotel in June, had a 6 year old that enjoyed racing up the stairs, easy if you are on the younger side, but not recommended for the elderly, no elevators. The rooms were great for the price. Did not notice too much noise. Restaurant is on the first floor and the hotel rooms (3 floors) are above it. Very friendly staff, spoke english. When we got there a waiter asked my name and handed me the key and direction on getting to our room, a side door that bypasses the restaurant to get to the rooms. The continental breakfast was good with enough variety for most people. Small bathroom, as expected. As earlier commenter mentioned, parking can be an issue. Mostly we drove around but there are stores within walking distance for basic items including groceries. Next time in Heidelberg I will go there again.

My wife and I stayed there for the night, and were very pleased. Other reviewers were correct about the lack of an elevator, but if you are on the younger side and can manage your necessities in one trip, you are fine. Rooms were in great shape, though the bathroom was a little small... typical European style. Auerstein was close to the tram that goes into Heidelberg city center, which was very convenient for visiting the "pretty" and touristy part of town. Continental breakfast was very good, and the staff was extremely kind. Keep in mind, the wireless internet does not work well in your rooms if you are above the 1st floor (0 floor = lobby), so to get a good connection you need to go downstairs. Also, there are really only 3 parking spots which can be difficult if you are driving there. If you don't manage to snag one in their small driveway, you must hunt on the surrounding streets. We lucked out, though! Overall, great stay and would recommend to most anyone traveling without kids.

The hotel was on a busy street - convenient yes as it was not far from the tram stop but loud as it was not far from the tram stop. It looks like a beautiful hotel from the pictures, which it is; however, looks can be deceiving. Staff was nice and helpful but the uncomfortable beds and extremely loud street noise makes it not recommendable.

This hotel is actually located in an area not considered to be Heidelberg. This required taking the rental car to the sites. Can't comment on the local transit system, but did note that there were locations that are much closer to the areas of interest for tourists.

Three stories, no elevator. Taking luggage to the 3rd floor was not fun. There was unfortunately no air conditioning, which seemed typical for German hotels. The television was tiny. The room was small. The bathroom was tiny. It was right off a busy street, so it was very noisy in the morning, though they did provide complimentary ear plugs. The attached restautant was very overpriced in my opinion. The complimentary breakfast was good, but not great. The staff was friendly. Overall, I'd recommend staying somewhere else.

Parking was a problem. Only stairs available, hard with luggage. Room was spartan but clean. Service was good and breakfast was fine.

accueil sympa, chambre suffisament spacieuse pour 3, minimaliste mais propre, celle ci a l'ecart de la rue donc calme, bon petit dejeuner. Un peu loin du CV .(mais tram proche, si pas automobile) Nous a bien convenu pour nos 2 nuits.

L'unico difetto dell'hotel è forse la rumorosità della strada. Se non si deve tenere aperta la finestra non dà fastidio perché le stanze sono acusticamente ben isolate. In ogni stanza sono in dotazione tappi per le orecchie particolarmente efficaci! Il personale è cordiale e disponibile quanto occorre. La posizione dell'hotel è ottima rispetto al centro della città che si raggiunge con i mezzi pubblici in 10 minuti. Tornerei ancora lì sicuramente.

open window is main road. noisely. "must" take bus to heidleburg long way from downtown.

場所はダウンタウンから少し離れていますが、路面電車が走っているので、2 euro程度で簡単に街中に行けます。恐らく街中のホテルは大体高いのではないかと思います。あるいは質が？？？か。このホテルは高級ホテルではありませんが誠に快適でした。レストランで食事は取りませんでしたが、かなりの客の入りようを見ると結構美味しいのではないかと思います。どなかた食べてみてコメントをアップしてください。

Siisti pikku hotelli, ystävällinen palvelu, aamupala mukana. Kuuma kesällä. Rakennustyömaa ikkunan takana, parkkipikkoja saa etsiä.

Beløbet, der skal betale til hotelet ikke kan hamonere med hotelets facilitet, for eksample dør, som ikke kan lukke ordenlit uden skub. Vindue har været konstant snavsede. Der mangles støjdemper for hele bygningen, som kan høre trafikstøj meget højt.

Hotel simples, mas bem limpinho e confortável, funcionários atenciosos e café da manhã muito gostoso. O ponto do onibus é muito perto. Excelente lugar e excelente custo benefício.

Ein problem ist aber das parken, es gibt kein parkplatz beim hotel. Ein aufzug wäre auch nicht schlecht, ist aber in diesem hotel nicht möglich glaube ich eins einzubauen. Vielleicht auch wichtig zu vermerken das neben ein neues gebaude gebaut wird, also kann die terasse schlecht benutz werden (im moment) Personal aber sehr freundlich, schönes restaurant, also emphelingswert.

Das Hotel liegt an einer sehr befahrenen Straße, somit sehr laut - Ohropax gibt es umsonst. Gute Verkehrsanbindung ins Centrum. Das Hotel ist sehr hellhörig! Ausstattung: normal. Das Frühstücksbuffet sehr abwechslungsreich und gut. Das Personal jung und freundlich.

Der var en del støj fra trafikken på gaden. Af samme grund var der også lagt ørepropper frem på værelset. Det var en fin morgenmad.

L'Hôtel est très mal situé, il est excentré et qui plus est n'a pas de parking alors qu'il est difficile de se garer dans le quartier. Il est au bord d'une grande route. Les chambres sont petites. La terrasse était fermée au mois d'août ! Sinon c'est très propre. Y aller juste pour une nuit dans le cadre du travail.

Meget hyggeligt og roligt værelse med lille altan.

Noise in the room because of the trafficked road was unbearable - especially at night. Our children stayed in a room which was located in the roof of a garage!
