The Back Bay Hotel - بوسطن

My husband, myself and a 12 year old son spent five days at this hotel. The room was very small and completely different from the photos that were presented in the web. The window faced a construction site with two cranes. When we arrived, the light in the foyer was not working. The hair dryer was also broken. When we used the bathroom, the glass shelf came out and could have caused an accident. This hotel is very expensive but is far from being a four star hotel. You can do better at a Marriott or even a Holiday Inn. On top, they charged 43.00 per night to park the car.

The hotel is in a convenient location within a short walk of The Common and main shopping streets. There are many good restaurants in the vicinity and it feels very safe. The Charles River is a short walk away and is a great place for an early morning run. The staff are incredibly friendly and go out of their way to help. The room was a deluxe double and was very comfortable. The bathroom was modern and very clean. The double beds are fairly small, 6 foot beds would be better. Also, the carpets are old fashioned and worn and a change would really smarten the room. Complementary bottled water, coffee and wifi internet access was a nice touch. The hotel itself is full of character being a converted police station, although the common areas on the reception level could be made more comfortable, homely and accessible for guests. A real fire and some large comfortable sofas would make all the difference. Overall we really liked the place and it offered much better value than other boutique hotels in the area. The hotel should be commended for the quality of its staff.

Great hotel to stay in Boston. Very close walking distance to the Amtrak Station However public transportation to popular touristy area like the seaport district and Fanueil Square is a quite inconvenient. however with the excellent taxi service quite readily available the inconvenience is quickly overcame. Did we mentioned its a great hotel with friendly staff and free wifi.... Definitely deserved its 5 star status

Great boutique-style hotel in an amazing location. Walk everywhere from here, or stay, eat and shop in Back Bay. The staff really seem to want to help and go out of their way to do so. Concierges and front desk staff were all great. Definitely worth a recommendation - especially when you compare to prices at surrounding hotels.

I stayed six nights. The hotel is great and the room was very comfortable. Staff was friendly. Walking distance to the nearest T station. I would definitely stay again if the price is right on hotels.com :)

Wonderful....location within walking distance of The Boston Commons, Newbury Street, and Symphony Hall where we went to see the Boston Pops...came back for drinks and dinner at CUFFS....terrific service, very amicable staff...would stay there again and again! A warm, inviting hotel with Irish hospitality.

The staff was very helpful and friendly, the room clean and the restaurant food was very good. The place was well located and attractive. We would stay there again if they fix their internet issues. The claim that free WiFI was available was totally inaccurate. We could not get any access in our room and barely in the lobbies. Even the wired access didn't really work. So don't come planning to do business here. We were told they are installing a new system. That may solve the problem

I was extremely dissapointed in our stay here. Me and my husband decided to stay in town for his birthday. After deciding we wanted to try a new hotel we thought we found the perfect one. We found out quickly how misleading this hotel is. One of the main reasons we choose this hotel was because of the great bar and sitting areas it has. we were never told however in booking, that both would be closed for private functions that night. We splurged for the deluxe king room and were greatly let down when not only were we on only the third floor but our room was tiny and outdated. I promise there was nothing "deluxe" about it. To finish the stay off we figured maybe we could at least get a decent breakfast out of it. We were excited to hear on the website that they had a breakfast room with pastries and a barista serving Starbucks coffee. Very far from the truth! The pastries were no where to be found and the "barista" was a simple coffee pump with the name starbucks on it.

Everything was great, only complaint was that all the soaps and bathroom items were VERY scented. If you have sensitive skin bring your own soap/shampoo. That is just a minor complaint. The hotel, staff, location and everything else were amazing. I would highly recommend this hotel.

The Back Bay Hotel offers a great location and the luxuries of a boutique hotel. Staff was friendly and the room was clean. A bit on the small side and the street noise was a bit much on a Saturday night. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel.

This hotel is good location and easy to walk most of the sights. Also, near the train station. Many restaurants, cafe, shops around corner as well. Check in/out very smooth. Business center very small just two computer with frinter and they will charge you. Complimentary wi-fi in the room, daily newspaper, local calls, and empty refrigelator with bottled water was nice touch. Some amenity which advertised on their hotel website was not available and room tend to get very warm and dry. (tiny window you can open). Bathroom is very spacious and give you plenty of towel and robe. Our room was by the construction site but we did not hear much noise. Overall, this hotel did not wow us with their service or amenity but provided us great location and clean room.

We chose this hotel as it was near the Back Bay Station and reasonable walking distance to the Centre of Boston.We had a room with coffee making which was great.Would have been nice to have had a brwakfast included option but we got croissants froma nearby supermakrket and enjoyed breakfast in our room.Was a very nice hotel.

Hotel provided a great place to gather for family get together- good bar with very good bar food - nice accommodations and staff were very pleasant and helpful when we had special requests. Off the main avenue but close walk to everything - would stay there again.

This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel and I would highly recommend it. It is close to lots of shops restaurants and theatres and one of the best things is I felt very safe being out at night as opposed to other cities I have visited. If you are going to Boston any time soon don't hesitate to book this hotel.

I always stay at this hotel... 2-3 times per year. I love it. It's clean, luxorious and is in a great location. All the staff is very friendly and helpful. However - the room service is poor quality... it's considered a 4/5 star hotel....and I ordered room service on 2 occasions and it was VERY SLOW. The first occasion was for a cup of limes (i was drinking in room and needed to mix liquor), I waited 30 minutes and nobody ever came, so I ended up leaving for the night to go out. It may have come after that? The following day I ordered some trash bags and that took 22 minutes to get there. Aside from food being ordered which may take time to cook, prepare..etc I think room service should be no more than 10 minute wait. It takes 2 minutes for staff to run up to your room and drop something off. 30 minutes is ridiculous.

Location and room quality first class. Food really poor - breakfast uninteresting and not well cooked. Bar supper - 45 minute wait for poor food - result in one week we had one breakfast and one bar supper and then ate out.

I picked this hotel based on location and other on-line reviews. Neither disappointed. The hotel is a short walk from the Back Bay Amtrak Station as well as a short walk to Newbury Street, the T, the South End, the Shops at Copley and Prudential and the Public Garden/Boston Common. The hotel staff is lovely and accommodating. I needed a sewing kit - someone brought one within 5 minutes. We accidentally left an iPhone charger in the room; by that evening it had been located and was ready to send to us. The things that prevent me from giving the hotel a perfect score are minimal: -- the hotel has Frette linens but still has an old school Panasonic cassette(!)/CD player in the room. -- the maid removed our bathmat and never replaced it -- the overall lighting in the room is extremely dim; the lamps could have taken 3-way bulbs but did not have them. Overall, it was a lovely stay and I would return!

My wife and I would rate the Back Bay Hotel as one of the best in which we've stayed--and we've stayed at some good ones. We won't consider staying anywhere else on our next trip to Boston.

The Back Bay Hotel is situated in a perfect place from which to explore Boston. An easy walk from the Prudential shopping centre, a visit to the top a must to get a 360 degree view. Upper deck trolley tour ticket good value, hop on and off, also included harbour cruise. We took train to New York, just over three and a half hours by Amtrak. back Bay station, 200m round corner from hotel so no taxi fares. Lucky enough to get tickets to a Patriots game! What a fab experience.

Nice hotel, very comfortable and in a good location for getting round Boston. Easy walking distance to several good restaurants / bars as well as shopping. Good concierge and helpful staff.

Great hotel and great location. The Back Bay is located only a quick walk away from all the great parks and shopping. Many restaurants surround the area with delectable food. Highly recommended.

The Back Bay hotel is a great hotel for a city break or for business. It is located in a most convenient location close to gardens and shopping areas. Transportation is easily accessible - most attractions are within walking distance or can be reached within 5 or 10 minutes by public transport. Hotel rooms are large and nicely decorated and the beds are super comfortable. Staff are friendly and very helpful and we felt most welcome in Boston. Overall, an elegant hotel in an elegant city.

We found a great deal online and stayed at the Back Bay for one night during Columbus Day weekend. Had a fantastic experience from start to finish. Friendly, helpful staff, beautiful building (inside and out), comfortable, luxurious room (with a bonus small chaise sofa that was perfect for my son to sleep on when he and his sister wouldn't stop bugging each other!). Valet parking is a bit pricey, but hey, it's Boston. Very conveniently located--an easy walk to the Public Garden and other attractions, as well as several restaurants.

Excellent Hotel with regards to service, friendliness, location, restaurant & food. Only complaint: room with kingsize bed was too small. Bed dominated the room and allowed only 1 nightstand. Made for negotiating the room a bit tight. A coffee maker in the room would have been a nice touch. Would stay there again but would inquire as to the room type. This room would have been okay for a solo traveler.

My wife and I were visiting Boston for the first time in 25 years. Our choice of the Back Bay Hotel was exactly what we wanted. The Hotel has an excellent location for anyone wishing to be close to the best shopping in Boston. Our evening dinners were excellent and all within walking distance. The rooms are a little on the small side so perhaps not the best hotel for an extended stay but we were very pleased with the Hotel for our short visit. The rooms are in excellent condition and the staff very helpful whenever we needed assistance. Highly recommended.

Hotel lived up to expectations only negatives were despite being at rear of hotel air conditioning unit on ground floor was noisy. Breakfast is too expensive.

Great hotel spoiled by building noise from neighbouring site which starts early (7ish) and includes weekends

Nice Hotel in the right area.

The staff was so friendly and the place was so clean. If I were to complain about anything is was the air conditioning in the room, it got very cold and was blowing on my head. I couldn't figure out how to adjust the temperature, to complicated. Other than that...I loved it and would stay again.

The staff was helpful, the bartender at Cuffs was great although the security guy was a little scary. Loved the location and the room. Funny decor in the elevator and a coffee maker in the room would have made it perfect.

My recent stay at the Back Bay Hotel was enjoyable for the most part. The only real disappointment was the 7 am jackhammers across the street. There was no sleeping in, that's for sure. While it is a somewhat temporary situation (due to building reno), it is bothersome and would help if the noise didn't start quite sooo early. On the positive side, I ordered in room service for breakfast both mornings and it was deilicious! Very impressive especially, for a hotel breakfast. And the coffee was good too! Hotel could use a bit of a bightening up though. At least in the rooms, if not the lobby. The decor was a bit dark and heavy for my liking.
