The staff was very friendly and helpful. They were all very attentive to our needs. Beds were very comfortable. Our only problem was being awakened by a loud argument in the middle of the night by the guests down the hall , they had a large party that ended up in a very loud argument by a few of the drunken partiers!! I must commend the front desk staff and security,as they handled this situation in a very safe and efficient manor. My hats off to them!!

The hotel was great, modern rooms, great breakfast. bad neighborhood, not near any T stops. We waited over 40 minutes for a bus before paying $20 for a cab to the convention center. Ok if u have a rental car, but I would not want to park my own car in their unsecured lot. Inside the hotel, everything was great

Positive: Comfortable beds, nice linens, great staff, delicious breakfast Negative: no wifi in room. Eithernet connection is extremely slow. TV channels are minimal and static on some channels. headphone jack on treadmill is broken.

My group and I had a great experience at the Hampton Inn and Suites. Our bus arrived in Boston very early in the morning and the front desk representative was more than happy to check us in to two available rooms, which was great news after an over-night bus ride. He also informed us of a complimentary shuttle that would take us to the convention center each day for our conference that we were in town for. This was a great relief because otherwise we would have been relying on public transportation in an unfamiliar city. Shuttle drivers were timely and very personable! Another great thing about the hotel was the breakfast. For a free breakfast, the hotel offered a great spread. Couldn't have been more pleased with our hotel choice.

This was my 3rd time staying at this Hampton Inn. The amenities are great. Rooms are quiet and comfortable. It's convenient to public transportation as well as a free airport/hospital shuttle.

My daughter and I enjoyed the stay at the Hampton Inn in Boston. The hotel was well kept. One of the managers that was on the morning we wanted to go to Cambridge was very helpful. She picked up on our uncertainty of getting there and came up to assist us. The other wonderful features were the breakfast and lite meal in the evening. When we arrived at the hotel, we were famished and the fajitas was a nice surprise and definitely hit the spot. I was very pleased with my stay here.

I was in Boston to do research at the Kennedy Library. I wanted a hotel with a desk, free internet, free airport shuttle, microwave and fridge in the room (you have to reserve a suite for that), and on the public transport to the JFK library. This hotel offered all of these things and more. You take the #8 bus, which stops right outside the hotel, to get to the JFK without having to change lines. The employees were very helpful and friendly. The room was clean and the hotel is one of the quietest I've ever stayed at. Lots of ambulances go to the hospital next door but you could hardly even hear them. And the noise level in the hotel was non-existant. The business center has a laser printer and free printing. The breakfast buffet is generous. The only negative thing I can say about this hotel is that while the shuttle to the airport will come get you at any time, you have to schedule a ride back to the airport a few hours in advance just to be sure. Call the night before if you have a morning flight! Also, the neighborhood doesn't offer much in terms of sights, but it has many small restaurants if you walk a few blocks, convenience stores, and a grocery store a few bus stops away. I will definitely be staying here again next time I'm at the JFK though it's probably not a great place to stay as a tourist as it's a little trickier to get the the red and orange lines from here.

The room was spacious and made ready for us for an early check-in. But housekeeping never brought extra bedding we requested and came to clean our room late in the day, when we wanted to nap; not convenient. The taxi the front desk called for us never showed up, so we used our car, but the hotel does have a garage that we were able to use for a reasonable fee. The room was a good value (especially with the complimentary breakfast buffet) but the service left a bit to be desired.

Had a great time in Boston this hotel was worth every penny the staff are very nice.

While touring colleges, our family of 5 stayed here in a suite. It featured a king size bed, a fold out sofa, and we arranged for a cot. The room was spacious and clean -- it worked out fine. The free breakfast was good -- waffles, oatmeal, cereals, breads, pre-made omellettes and so on. They offered a free light dinner from 5:30 - 7 pm that we didn't try. Two things to note -- this hotel is near a hospital, and a lot of the guests seemed to be coming for treatment. There is no free parking here and the neighborhood is kind of crummy. I spent $25 per night to use the garage across the street and it worked out well. Pool is very small and only 3 1/2 feet deep, but temperature was fine. Good for small kids only.... There is a decent Thai restaurant about 4 long blocks away called Equator, and a diner called Mike's. I think they are on Washington Street. Location is very convenient, adjacent to highways and on Mass Ave, a main thoroughfare that goes to Cambridge. I recommend staying here, so long as seeing people on crutches and others with hospital tags doesn't upset you. I would definitely come back...

Just be aware that this hotel is near hospitals so the sirens were going all night and there isn't good sound insulation. Other than that, the pool is small but you can do a some short laps and the fitness room is adequate and even has a window in it.

We chose this hotel because it was close to Northeastern University and reasonably priced. (It's also close to a hospital therefore there can be some ambulance noise-that was probably the only down side). Overall, the hotel was clean and well kept and the breakfast buffet was sufficient. We would stay there again.

This hotel has a shuttle service to the airport and to the downtown hospitals which was exactly what I needed to keep from driving in Boston!! The service was great and the room was very clean and comfortable.

Airport shuttle very convenient (to & from airport). Nice complementary breakfast & dinner. WiFi connection dropped every 30minutes or, but reconnected quickly. Extremely close (2 minute walk) to Boston University Medical Center

The noise outside is not that bad as I read in other comments and you can sleep as good as in any other place. The hotel stuff were very friendly, the breakfast excellent and the rooms were huge. There is a bus 2 minutes walk from the hotel that drives you in 15 minutes to the center of the city. My stay was very pleasant and I would recommend it.

We stayed here while looking for colleges for our daughter. It was a great central location to Harvard, Boston Univ. and Northeastern. The room was super clean, the staff was helpful and the free breakfast was much better than most "free breakfasts" we have had at hotels. Great hotel for business, sports teams and college trips.I would not stay here if I was looking for a true "Boston tourist experience". For that I would stay in true downtown where I could walk to all the sites and enjoy the better restaurants and shopping.

The lobby is brightly lit and well cared for, there is always free coffee and the staff was polite. Everything was clean. The room was comfortable and spacious. It was exactly what we needed the night before a major surgery, so if you are looking for a hotel to stay at before anything at Boston Medical or the surrounding hospitals, this is great. Comp breakfast and dinner items. Also, the rooms do have handicapped showers which are especially convenient if you have any surgery prep, such as a specific surgery shower. There is food for purchase in the lobby, as well as drinks. There were two extremely rude people in the lobby with us (cutting in line, taking things we were reaching for) which I think the staff could have handled a little better. My only complaint is the parking. When you check out of the hotel, your key no longer lets you out of the parking garage, something we were unaware of. When we tried to leave at 5:30am for the hospital, we could not get out of the parking garage and then had a tough time explaining it to the attendant who had to call everyone alive to check our guest status. So please be aware that if you plan to check out at the desk, make sure your card works or get some kind of receipt. Other than that, a fantastic stay for any reason, especially for the price.

I came back here after my positive experience from about a month ago. Hotel provides complimentary breakfast and dinner. Complimentary shuttle service to the airport every hour. The room was very clean, well-kept, very comfortable and overall great quality. The service was great. Public transportation easily accessible. I would definitely come back here again. The only thing is that it is near Boston Medical Center so you might hear ambulance sirens & horns if you are sensitive to those kind of stuff.

The good: The hotel is at Boston Medical Center, not to far from the city center. Taking public transportation, it takes about 20 minutes or less. It has gym and a (kids) pool. Free (good and hot) breakfast and edible (not so good) dinner, free internet and 24 accessible gym with weights, treadmills, and an elliptical. It also provides many free shuttles to many places and to the airport (hourly during the day). The room are nice and clean in a relatively new high rise apartment like building. Hard ware wise they are good. The bad: The problem is the service. a) The website says call before flight takes off to arrange the airport shuttle pickup. In fact, it should be call after you landed after I made the call. Then, 15-20 minutes wait become 45 minutes one. During the wait, I called many times to check if the shuttle was coming and was lied many times and I was even told the shuttle waited for me and left. (It wasn't me in fact, and the driver told me it was his first time to come to this part of the terminal in 2 hours.) b) Maid service is bad. You get everything when you come in. Then coffee bags were missing on the second and third day. Luckily, there are 24 hour good coffee near reception that I can take.

Hampton Inn 811 mass ave boston, ma. I was very pleased with Hampton Inn. This was my first time there on New years eve spent 2 nights there. The whole experience was very nice. The front desk was very nice and helpful. I would def. come back next time I stay in Boston

Upon arrival, I noticed that the lobby was poorly decorated and the paint colors left much more to be desired. To be honest, I was initially disappointed because it looked nothing like the pictures online. It is unfortunate that the lobby (the actual first impression) looks like it does because it is the most inaccurate representation of the remainder of the hotel. The front desk staff was extremely professional, informative, and nice. Our room was very spacious, and I loved the modern decor and the king size bed and the cleanliness!!! It would have been convenient to have a refrigerator, but that was a minor detail and we tried to be creative with the ice bucket. The bed was extremely comfortable and I liked that we could check out at 12 instead of 11AM. Also, the fact that breakfast was included was extremely convenient and a nice touch. Overall, I will probably return to this hotel if I am looking for a good price and convenient location.

We booked this hotel to stay when going to a wedding in the Back Bay. It was a great value and we were surprised how updated and comfortable the room was for the price. Very modern, clean and chic! The front desk staff was very courteous and helpful. The hotel shuttle even gave us a ride to the wedding to avoid taking a cab! Would definitely stay there again!

My kids loved the free Internet, warm pool, and make your own waffles!

The room was clean and modern, but what really stood out for us was the quality of the concierge. The front desk provided us with excellent recommendations for nearby restaurants, directions, and called cabs on our behalf. We also took advantage of the hotel shuttle from Logan to the hotel. When the shuttle happened to be unavailable for our return, the concierge graciously provided us with cab fare. Next time we're back in Boston, we'll be staying here.

Chose this hotel because the price was right and we were pleasantly surprised. The hotel was very modern and the rooms were spacious and modern. Very clean. Free breakfast that had lots of options; there was even a complimentary dinner (make your own burritos!) the night we checked in. The staff at the front desk were excellent - very helpful and nice. Only downside - we thought since it was on Mass Ave that it would be right in the heart of things but it was at the very end and fairly far from main thoroughfares. But front desk staff showed us the T bus stop across the street and told us what stop to go to; still left us a ways short of where we wanted to be but a taxi from there was very inexpensive. And the bus was free on NYE! We would definitely stay here again. Clean, comfortable, and friendly, helpful staff.

The Hampton Inn was very nice. The staff was helpfull and very welcoming. The rooms and hotel was very clean. The breakfast bar was more than sufficient. Only thing I did not like was the neighborhood, however I used taxi that will take me straight from downtown to the hotel so for the price it was great.

I stayed one night at this hotel for business and it was a convenient and seamless experience. I called for an airport pickup at 10pm and the hotel van arrived about 15 minutes later. There is also shuttle service for departing guests, but I didn't take advantage of that. However, the concierge was very helpful and efficient in getting me a cab that would get me to Newton, about 30 minutes away. The room was definitely in great shape. Very comfortable bed, spacious, with a sparkling bathroom. I also appreciated the complementary access to a computer and printer in the small business center in the lobby - got to print my boarding pass without any hassle. Breakfast wasn't spectacular and very utilitarian - more for the convenience of it rather than enjoyment. Dunkin Donuts and McDonald's, as well as a few restaurants, were right across the hotel or within a couple of minutes' walk, so there are options. Overall a good, hassle-free stay.

This was a nice clean hotel with very friendly staff. The area we were in was a bit rough for a couple of blocks and the noise from the hospital ambulances and helicopter was often. The fact that there was no washing facilities we found a real nuisance. Washed our underwear in the sink each night and then when we did send washing away, somehow it didnt get sent and took 2 days, therefore we had no clean clothes to wear for a day.

This place is a gem! The staff was very helpful with restaurants, directions, public transportation schedules, you name it, we asked and they were only to happy to be helpful. They have an airport shuttle, breakfast, plus they keep fruit and coffee out all day. There are subway stations and bus stops within walking distance, and they are not too far from great restaurants. We were pleased with the hotel for the preice. Also, our room was very comfortable to come back to after a long day of sight-seeing. We definitely recommend this Hampton Inn.

I booked this hotel only a few nights before our stay and chose it because of its proximity to Northeastern University. It was a little more than I wanted to spend, but the extra money was worth it. The hotel was clean, had a nice view when you exited the elevator onto the floor, and our room had a nice view too. The room was spacious and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast Monday morning was delicious and had a lot to offer. My son and I would definitely stay here again and we would recommend this hotel to others.
