we are doing a trip around the world and this was one of our best finds. We upgraded our room but even our first room was very nice and clean. We highly recommend/

Very nice stay.

We stayed 7 nights, and we found the hotel and its staff to be lovely. Though located right in the heart of the city, our room was quiet and calm. We were in a "Zen" room--all white, neutral decor. Comfortable bed. Superb breakfast--really top notch--pasteles de nata and a different pastry and cake every day, salmon, ham, cheese, eggs, omelettes... in a beautiful room overlooking Rossio square--a great way to start each day. For the price, compared to other European hotels, a good value.

A beautiful renovation of an old building. Like the modern style of the interior, but you take your life in your hands in the tubs, as they are incredibly slippery and there is no mat. Glass door on bathroom is also a bit much. But, helpful friendly staff, location and breakfast included makes it an excellent place to stay.

Just stayed overnight after visiting Sintra and loved so many of the modern designs in an historic setting . All the staff were so friendly, the bar was just again very chic and comfortable and as a single traveller I felt very safe in this truly boutique hotel

It was great. The staff were top-notch, friendly and very helpful. The location could not possibly be better. From our window, we had a view of both city squares. There are several train stations within a few blocks, one right across the street. Also, there is a pastry shop, ATM and liquor store in the first floor of the building. Hard to beat, especially for the price.

Great breakfast buffet! The location was perfect, easy walking distance to many areas and the metro was close for traveling to more distant places. There were many restaurants close by. The train to Sintra leaves from the station at the top of Rossio Square. The room was small but well-apponted. The only complaint is that the bathroom was tiny and it was a tight squeeze to get in and out of the shower with no grab bar to help out.

THE LOCATION OF THIS HOTEL IS THE BEST YOU CAN HAVE IT IN LISBON. HOWEVER THIS HOTEL IS TOTALLY OVERRATED. THE ROOMS ARE VERY SMALL AND YOU BARELY CAN DISPOSE YOUR CLOTHES OR MOVE INSIDE. IT IS NORMAL TO HAVE THE CLEANERS TALKING IN CORRIDORS WHILE YOY ARE SLEEPING INSIDE. THERE ARE OTHER HOTELS WITH BETTER RATES AND MORE SPACE IN LISBON. I WILL NOT GO BACK.

We loved staying at the Internacionale Hotel, it was central to many restautants and the elevator. I really lovethe quirkiness and the concept of themed floorrds

Outstanding location, even a decent view of two of the cities main squares. Great Breakfast, Great Staff. Very close to Metro, buses and trams. Get a 5 Euro daily pass and use all city transportation for 24 hours. Metro goes from airport to within 200 meters of hotel. The trams are old but great way to see the older hill castles and other attractions. It will even work on view elevator. Room was small but everything worked well, even had all 3 NFL sunday session games on TV. Bathrooms are very nice. Bar lounge has good view.

It was a perfect stay. The staff was very polite and helpful, the room is a little bit small but very well decorated and equipped and includes free internet. The location is perfect: access to all transportation, easy to get from airport, close to main attractions. I've visited Lisbon several times but this was my best experience in all senses. Staff is multilingual. Breakfast was very tasty, abundant and well served. I'll will be back for sure. Thank you!

We loved this place. The staff were all friendly, the entire facility spotless. Breakfast was wonderful, the bar cozy and romantic, and the location is right in the middle of everything. Every flakier has a different theme. Ask to see them. The caccoon room is tiny, but you aren't breaking the bank either. Overall a great value. Two thumbs up.

I love this hotel. Great location, beautiful room, large Sony flat screen TV with good English channels, rain shower, soaking tub, fantastic breakfast, and wonder fast and friendly service. I will definitely return.

Excellent front desk help. Spending long time with smile just to lead you to the right location in Portugal. Location in Middle of the town, close to everything. Excellent breakfast and restaurant service. Small bathroom.

Centrally located, clean, very helpful staff. Small rooms, but such is Europe. Would stay there again.

We really enjoyed our stay, staff were very attentive and helpful and the hotel is well looked after. We found the hotel to be in the perfect location, very central for sightseeing and close to the Bairro Alto area which is good for evening dinner and drinks. Our room was fairly small but perfectly adequate for a weekend and bigger than expected considering they only had a 'cocoon' room available when we booked!

We really loved the hotel. We loved the contrast of the beautiful old exterior with the quirky modern interior. It was in a brilliant location for many of the main places to visit I n central Lisbon.

Strange curtain sistem. Curtains cover not only window but the table alongside. And you have an acsses to the table than curtains are open (and building looks right to the nearby building with windows and people inside). Not very convinient especially in the evenings. Soundproofing could be better.

Superb location. We strongly recommend this hotel not only for its location but also for its cleanliness, for its extremely helpful and friendly staff. We were very pleased with the hotel from the moment we arrived to the time we had to leave.

We absolutely loved the Internacional Design Hotel. It is a lovely hotel with cool decor. It is very clean. And the location is perfect - very safe neighborhood with plenty of restaurants and shopping close by and easy access to the metro, tram, and other sites in the city. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again on our next visit to Lisbon.

Fabulous

The hotel's staff was fantastic, location could not be better, and everything was clean and nice. I would highly recommend breakfast which was a great buffet. The only downside was that our room was extremely small (and we are from New York City and used to living in small spaces). Even with the small room though, I would stay there again if I was in Lisbon. We also used the hotel's airport shuttle which was cheap and convenient.

Very cool chic hotel in a perfect location for checking out the best of Lisbon. Room was a bit cramped, but was expecting that based on the size catagories available. The most amazing aspect was the staff - they truly went out of their way to make sure we had the perfect time!

This hotel is super! Location, service and a friendly bar make it a great choice. We booked without knowing what to expect and were very happy. Jaws visiting Lisbon with my daughter and the hotel helped make the trip.

Great service, stylish (if a little small) rooms, close to restaurants and bars. Trams, buses and metro stops all within 100m of hotel door. Loved our stay in Lisbon, will be returning and will definitely stay here again.

A great hotel in a wonderful location near to the city sites, restaurants, shopping and transportation to explore sites further from Lisbon. The hotel and rooms were cleaned to a high standard all throughout our stay. The biggest plus about this hotel was the staff, from the moment we walked into the hotel until we left they were all so nice and helpful, recommending sites, restaurants, cafes/bars, giving directions, booking transport for us, great staff always happy to help you. I defiantly would recommend this hotel and I would defiantly stay here again.

The room was tiny by American standards, but clean and comfortable. All staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Opt for a room upgrade that includes the breakfast buffet; it is well worth it. The location could not be more convenient. The metro and bus stop are steps away from the hotel. I believe the metro now connects to the airport (1.25 eu) using the red & green lines. Aerobus #1 also goes to the airport every 20 minutes (3.50 eu). The bus takes 15 - 20 minutes, depending on traffic. The hotel is only several stories high, but ask for an upper floor, as the street noise can sometimes wake light sleepers. The "free" arrival drink at the bar was a nice touch. The hotel is centrally located in a very safe neighborhood.

Booked hotel as we were stating in Lisbon for ten days. Hotel was terrible as rooms were far to small. Spoke with bookings to see if they could upgrade us to larger room and was told we already had. This hotel is fine for one or two nights but not suitable for a long stay. Very overpriced!

The hotel, it's location and staff are all great! Everyone was extremely helpful in recommending things to do in the area, the service was very friendly and the hotel has a fun and modern vibe. We had a great stay and would stay there again should we find ourselves in Lisbon!

I have been travelling a lot and have been to every single European country. By far, this is one of the best European hotels I have ever stayed at (also on budget if you stay for a week and get a free night!). The room is rather spacious by the European standards, very trendy, clean, comfortable. The bed is amazingly comfortable and crisp clean! The staff is super friendly. Breakfast was not included in my rate (check if you have it included) and I found that 15 Euro for breakfast is too much. You can have a nice breakfast round the corner for 7.50 Euro. Convinient location to everything! I did not like Lisbon much but I loved the hotel! Highly recommend!

Price on hotels.com was excellent! Hotel located right near one of the main squares -- walking distance to the waterfront, the castle, the Barrio Alto and many other places. Lots of restaurants to choose from within walking distance. Reserved the coccoon room -- was small, but larger than I expected. Bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in. Free espresso with in room machine. Small shower, but wonderful, rain shower head + hand held! Front desk was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

Had a great time in Lisbon.Architecture was spectacular.Many small restaurants with great food well priced.Hotel location was perfect,walking distance to almost everything.Our only surprise was how small the room was.Besides being cramped for space everything else about the hotel was perfect.The breakfast wasexcellent,service great and would recommened staying if you don't mind a tiny room

Great location, friendly staff - great choice!

We asked for hotel recommendations and we were not disappointed. He also recommended the yellow sightseeing bus as there were lots of other transport included in the price. The breakfast was also excellent and the location perfect for getting around the city.
