the hotel is just 15min walk away from the bustling area of bangla road which is the hub of patong..the rooms were neat, clean and modern..not only staff but i found everybody in phuket were friendly..didn had the chance to get a spa done but just had a look at the spa room..it looked really nice..i hope even the service is good..they served us english, indian and thai breakfast..all of them were tasty..there is nothing more tat u wud have to ask for..i wud definitely recommend tis hotel and wud like to come back if i got a chance to visit phuket again..

I loved the pool access room. Staff was great.

We had such a good time the food was great, the people were awesome and the rooms were amazing, will definitely go back and stay there again !!

Against advice, we decided to stay in Phuket, a very tourist-filled, young, loud, night-life scene. However, after a very "rustic" stay several days prior, we were more than happy w/ accommodations here. We arrived late in the evening & were warmly greeted w/ handed shirley temples (great first impression). Our room for 3 people had a poolside view & was very spacious, clean & modern, w/ a huge bathroom easily fitting all 3 at once (major plus). The hotel is set inward from the main road, so it was nice we couldn't hear the noise of the street, which is good because I am a super light sleeper. The street has several street vendors & restaurants to choose from. Massages were 50% off, which was maybe 200 baht more than the street stores (about 5-10 on the same street within 5 min walking distance), & if still 50% off, def go w/ the hotel because it is infinitely better in experience & quality. Breakfast was included in our stay & was a good selection of Western & Asian mixes. By the second day however, we were a bit sick of it, but nothing is really open, so you are best sticking to this before you head out for the day. The beach is about a 10 min walk, but very crowded & touristy, best to lounge at the hotel or go to a more northern quiet beach if you don't include any excursions on your trip. I would give this place a 4.5 star & would highly recommend IF you have to stay in Patong. If you don't enjoy loud-nightlife, you might want to stay at a different location.

I stayed here for 10 days, and was very happy with the hotel and it's location. It is about a 15 minute walk to Patong Beach or to Bangla Road. Also has numerous things around the hotel that are helpful (legitimate massage parlor, pharmacy, laundry services, barber shop, etc. The hotel itself was great. Recommaned a room with pool access directly from your balcony. The pool closes kinda early (1900 supposedly), but you normally saw people in it after that. I think as long as you aren't having a huge pool party in the middle of the night, they are pretty accomodating in that regards. Cleanliness and design of the room was excellent. If available, would gladly book this hotel every time I came to Phuket to visit!

I picked this hotel to stay for 2 nights after I finished a liveaboard scuba diving trip. The rooms were large and very modern and updated with some latest technology. All the lights could be controlled by a panel right next to the bed so you don't have to get up to turn them off. Balcony in each room to dry off swimsuits. The hotel is off the main area so it's nice and quiet. There's convenience stores and restaurants nearby. It's a very short walk (just a couple blocks) to get to Patong Beach. The hotel had very friendly staff who spoke English. When I was leaving the hotel and it was starting to rain - the car attendant at the hotel gave me an umbrella to use while I was away - so I didn't have to go all the way up back to my room! Friendly staff - modern rooms - great amenities. [Pool + free breakfast + spa]

After spending a couple nights in Thailand that lacked some of the cleanliness of hotels that I am used to, our arrival at the Blue Ocean Resort was a real treat! The staff was kind (though their English was not quite on par with other hotels in the country), the perks (free snacks and drink in the room, great breakfast, coupons for nearby businesses) were many, and the pool was beautiful and a wonderful break from the busy beaches with people constantly trying to sell you things. This was actually the best hotel I've stayed at in a very long time. The downside though is the area itself. Patong Beach is a very popular destination but we found the area off-putting. Its very hard to get around due to astronomical taxi fares on Phuket, you are constantly harassed to buy things, and there are plenty of shady customers working the streets around the nightlife who are more than happy to trick you out of your money. A much more pleasant stay can be found on the nearby Ko Phi Phi island. The beaches are better there too. But if you must go to Patong Beach, the Blue Ocean Resort is the best part about it. :-)

A must stay hotel in phuket. All i can say is AWESOME..... Me and my wife enjoy our stay. The room is the most we enjoy a big room and a pool access wonderful. Cant wait to go back to Blue Ocean Resort... I highly recommend this hotel for couple.... Thanks

I would not recommend anyone to stay on this hotel considering ill mannered staff . Arrogant front desk and not puri the mark services overall.

Rooms were very good and clean but the balcony view was not so good. There is a Open Sewerage Lines on back side of the hotel.but the room on pool side were very awesome.

staff were helpful. pool was good. felt safe throughout the stay. as it was just the girls on vacation. =P

throughout my 4 days stay, i had no hot water for shower. And for 4 whole days, it was noy rectified. Upon askin for late check out, even willing to have a normal room instead of my pool access room, my request was flatly turned down. NO SERVICE recovery. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. Their hotel asst. manager Perani was not very friendly either. Overall, Dissappointed

My stay was comfortable and relaxing. The area was quiet but, active at the same time. The staff was very professional and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to a friend.

For the price offered, it was of reasonable standard. The small but very nice gesture was free use of minibar which came with some soft drinks and nuts and chocolate. Comfortable and fairly good location, convenient to walk to most destinations in Patong.

very convenient location, great breakfast, good service, clean and spacious rooms, surrounding neighbourhood isnt that nice but its easy to get around, 5 minute walk to patong beach

Would recommend this hotel to families with older children, so beautiful and new, staff friendly and in a great location. I would stay again

Good hotel - stayed there three times, during my trips around Southeast Asia. Besides a few leaking spots on the 7th floor, the hotel is well kept, affordable and convenient. I will defintely stay there again!

Great hotel - large rooms, convenient to everything/place. There is however a shack behind the hotel. Not a pleasant view from the hotel balcony. This may also be a temporary site for construction.

Stayed in the hotel for 3 nights. Things that i really liked about this hotel are: very spacious rooms, very good location (hardly 10 mins walk to the patong beach). would definately recommend this hotel to everyone.

This hotel is great value for money if you can get a good deal. There are 2 showers in the bathroom which is perfect for a couple after a day at the beach. The pool area is ok for a quick dip but not to spend the day at relaxing as the river is behind the hotel and smells a bit. 5 minute walk to the beach, 15 minute walk to Jungceylon Shopping Centre and Bangla road.

very nice hotel close to shopping and the breakfast was top class. it had small pool but was ok not crowded. Oerall it was excellent.

We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights in the beginning of our holiday. The hotel was very tidy and the room comfy. The pool was also nice on a hot day. The location was convenient.: walking distance from the beach and shops, but I have to point out that the area around the hotel is still developing i.e. from our balcony we had a view not only to the pool but also to a rather dirty river and a slum area. However, in conclusion we had a pleasent stay.

about 5 min to patong beach.take 10- 15min to jugceylon but its ok coz along the way there is OTOP market wher there is a lot of shop ...

this hotel is a little bit fat form the bar street and market but close enough to the beach, shops and restaurants. good value.

I stayed in Deluxe room of this hotel for almost a week.Rooms are very clean and atmosphere is pleasant.Patong beach is on walking distance and pubs,discs,restaurants are even in very close vicinity...I would suggest everybody to stay in this hotel especially when they plan to stay near patong beach...

I have stayed at Blue Ocean Resort & Spa for 4 nights (from 27th Jan to 31st jan 2012) with my wife & would like to say that I have had my most memorable holiday in Phuket. Blue Ocean Resort is a 4 star hotel, it is very neat, clean & very decent. The Front desk staff was always smiling and very cooperative to help in all matters. The staff at the restaurant was also very patient & cooperative. I have to specially mention about the restaurant becuase, I am a pure vegetarian and once the staff knew about this, they made special arrangements for me & my wife. I have to specially mention about Mr. Roshan (the Indian Chef), who made sure that we were served the food as per our requirments. We had stayed in the room which was with Pool Access. You have direct access to the Pool. The pool is not very big but it was big enough to have a swim & enjoy. I am very sure that families with kids will definitely enjoy being in the room. The location of Blue Ocean is just perfect. It is around 7 - 8 minutes walk to the Patong Central area & Patong Beach. So basically, you can have a peaceful night's sleep when you are in the hotel & also in a location which easily accessible to the main area of Patong (for shopping, Beach, Different variety of restaurants etc). The main reason why I chose Blue Ocean resort Was because of the comments I read on Trip Advisor. Maximum comments were positive but The most impressive thing was that, for the major Negative comments (which were anyways very few), there was someone from the Hotel management who was responsible enough to reply & clarify them. That made me think that if the Hotel management is so responsbile to clarify themselves on trip advisor comments, then they will surely take care, if i have any problems. And my judgement was 100% correct. In fact I did not get any reason to complain for anything. Their service overall was really great. In short for my next Holiday in Phuket, I would definitely stay at Blue Ocean Resort & Spa & woul

The hotel is on a busy road, although that doesn't really matter when you're in your room or round the pool. Rooms are lovely, bathrooms are superb!! Ground floor pool rooms are very nice with their own private access to the pool. For a budget hotel, this was superb!

We were very pleased with the hotel and the lovely lush and green surroundings, which especially could be enjoyed from the terrace by the pool. Some small minuses were that the internetconnection didn't function very well from our room, that was near the inner corner of the v-shaped buildingcomplex. And there were rooms, that were even more locked in between the blocks.. (They had a landscape-painting on the opposing wall to compensate for the lack of a view!) And you could wish, that the pittoresque nearby little river were cleaner. In fact you could see and smell that it for a big part were sewer-outlet and not just rainwater.. And it probably also partly was to blame for the water-quality of the nearby beach, that was close to unfit for bathing and swimming! But apart from that: Good hotel in lovely surrondings!

Stayed 4 nights in Deluxe room with pool view in January 2012. Upon checking in, I pointed out that the room was not as described on hotels.com, as the bathroom lacked a tub (supposed to be present in all rooms). The young receptionist seemed helpful but she was quickly subdued by the senior receptionist who assured me that the room was nice, and that was that. The immediate vicinity of the hotel didn't have too many points of interest, but Bangla Road is within walking distance.

Clean, friendly, great location, balcony sunset views, good price.... what more can you ask for! This was the best hotel I stayed out during my trip to Thailand. A block or so down from the main street but close to everything. Beach is about a 5-10 min walk away. If I ever get the chance to go back to Patong Beach, this is exactly where I would stay.

This is an awesome hotel for people who are going on a holiday..We took the basic room which was extremely spacious and the room furniture and other things were also in a very good conditionn. The location of the hotel is 5 mins walk to Bangla road and patong beach. The only bad thing about this hotel is that it has a drain/pond on the back side which hampers the back side view fro the room other than that it is cheap breakfast is good, service and location is very good.

Slightly out of the main beach area but still within the standard tuk-tuk taxi rate. Staff were excellent, rooms are very clean and in hotel dining is very reasonably priced and good quality also does a very substantial breakfast. Excellent value here, only downside is some construction work going on nearby but this should not be too off putting.

The hotel is perfectly located right in the centre of everything but yet at a decent distance from the busy city life which gives you the space to relax and spend quality time with your family. Not ideal for honeymoon couples but for friends and family its good. Nice breakfast, friendly staff and convenient neighbourhood all adds up to the comfort of the tourists. The only downside comes from the uncovered sewage flowing right next to the hotel which used to stink at times.

We have just returned from 2 weeks in this great hotel. Staff excellent, very polite, couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful. Our room was excellent in size with good décor, always clean and tidy. The breakfast menu was excellent with a good selection with Asian and European cuisine. Happy hour is from 5 til 6 every night with a singing duo starting at around 4 til 6. Had some great times sitting around the pool listening to these guys and enjoying happy hour. Only a short walk from the hotel to the beach, shops and restaurants and yet far enough away to be quiet at night.

The hotel is a little distant from the beach and main entertainment district. This is made up by the clean rooms, nice breakfast and half price cocktails between 5.00pm and 6.00pm. If you don't have small kids, I would suggest paying a little more for a pool access room. Don't get room 201 as it the access is to the kiddie pool. Had a nice time here!
