hotel - excellent breakfast, bed very comfy & room impressive. Good central location to walk to sights.

I recently stayed at the Hospes Palau De La Mar on my Honeymoon trip to Spain. We found this hotel after searching around for newer properties in Valencia. The Hospes Palau De Lar Mar is located near the Old City Center of Valencia, but not directly in the middle of it. It is about a 15 minute walk to the Cathedral etc. I personally liked being near the center but not smack dab in the middle of it. The street the hotel is located on is attractive, but not too busy. There is also an El Corte Ingles nearby which came in handy when I found that the jacket I had brought on the trip was not quite warm enough for the weather. When we drove up to the hotel (which was a little bit of a challenge) we were immediately greeted by the staff and they parked the car for us. The front desk staff was very helpful is making recommendations for a paella dinner in the city center and helped us navigate some of the major sights. The room itself was modern and actually quite spacious. Very comfortable for a our one night stay. Note - If you are looking for a hotel close (walking distance) to the city of Science and Industry, this is probably not your best bet because it is a bit far for a walk.

Very stylish hotel with a great ambience and specialized service from this boutique hotel. It's not the 5 star service you get from a larger chain, however it is still 5 star and if you prefer a more personalized atmosphere, the hotel is ideal! Breakfast is high quality and decor, ambience, atmosphere is exceptional. Spa fasclites are amazing.

The hotel is far away from the Centre. It takes you more than 15 minutes from Centro Historico. But the quality of the room is marvellous. So if you do not mind having a good walk everytime you go out, it is not a bad choice.

The hotel is in a great location easy access to the metro (5 mins walk) and so easy to get to the airport and around the city. Easy walking distance to the historical centre. The bedroom and bathroom were beautiful and very comfortable. The summer restaurant in the terrace area was lovelly and cool in the heat and the food and service were of excellent quality. My husband and I travel a lot and certainly put this close to the top of the boutique hotel list and will certainly be coming back

This was an excellent hotel, very close to the historic centre and to the gardens. The staff were friendly and courteous. The room was larger than the description with a beautiful roll top bath and a very comfortable bed. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone going to Valencia.

This hotel is way out of the way. It books itself as a upscale hotel but the rooms are very small. The location is out of the way from the historic center in a secondary business location. You can however walk in 15 minutes to the center one way i and to a nice residential hood with lots of resturaunts the other way. overpriced for the location.

A great hotel placed between the city and the beach. We found this the perfect location as the old town was a 15min walk and the beach was a short trip on the metro. The nightlife is fantastic once you get used to eating at 11pm.

The staff were very helpful, showed us places to visit. the stay was perfect.

This is a fine hotel, a modernized structure based on two nineteenth century houses. It is very impressive architecturally and has a fine atmosphere. It is also in a very convenient part of the city, within walking distance of the centre. We were rather disappointed with our room, which was very austere, with no decoration except a television monitor, and it had only a rather basic bathroom. There was also a lack of drawer space, and only two not very comfortable chairs to sit on. Elsewhere the hotel is very well equipped, with a lovely patio garden which is a delight to sit in. The staff are excellent, most welcoming and courteous at all times, and ever willing to help. This would be a clear five-star hotel with a more attractive and well eqipped bedroom.

This is one amazing restored tonw house that has wonderful style,grace and comfort. The beds are like sleeping on a cloud. The Zen feeling of the spa is so relaxing after a day touring. The people at the front desk could not be more helpful. In fact they let me use their personal computer to check my e mails.

We had a wonderful visit here. the hotel is really beautiful and our price was great!...very friendly attentive staff. They met all of our needs for the 2 days we were there. Valencia is a wonderful city. Having visited Barcelona many times before, will put this hotel and city on my future agendas...you will not be disappointed!

Very nice hotel, good location with the river park just across the way easy acess to underground and some very good restaurants and bars locally.

Personal zum Teil nicht der Hotel-Kategorie entsprechend, Dienstleistungsbereitschaft mässig.... Frühstücksbuffet grossartig!

Das Hotel ist top-modern, meist in weissem Desing eingerichtet. Dies macht es für unsere Begriffe kalt und ungemütlich. Es liegt direkt an einer stark befahrenen Hauptstrasse. Wir hatten das Zimmer im ersten Stock und so war es in der Nacht sehr laut. Das Zimmer, ein "dreamer room", war klein und auch der Service liess teilweise zu wünschen übrig. Wir kamen um 17.00 Uhr ins Hotel um uns für den Ausgang frisch zu machen. Das Zimmer war noch nicht gemacht. Wir wollten ins Dampfbad; dieses war am Nachmittag ausser Betrieb. Das Hotel ist grundsätzlich o.k. ist aber eher kühl und niemals 5 Sterne wert. Valencia hat uns sehr gefallen. Wir werden sicher wieder hingehen, jedoch in ein anderes Hotel.

El Palau de La Mar is a charming boutique hotel, with a very professional staff, a nice atmosphere and impecable contemporary equipments. It's not at the top end of the market, but it provides value for money to the guests. In addition, the location is a must both for business and for pleasure. We'll be back and wilkl recommend this Palau to our friends when they come to enjoy Valencia.

Das Hotel ist bereits renovierungsbedürftig. Das Design wäre schön, aber schon etwas abgebraucht. Der Service an der Reception ist nicht ganz professionell für ein 5-Sterne Hotel, wie es ausgeschrieben ist. Der Preis ist ja allerdings auch eher günstig, darum stimmt Preis-Leistungsverhältnis doch.

Creo que el que vaya buscando un hotel de cinco estrellas se encontrará con un hotel, en el que los servicios no corresponden a los habituales de este tipo de hoteles.

Pretty nice hotel. Nice decoration and good service. A minus was that breakfast was not included, however this was the case with most hotels in Valencia within the price range. There were small details that could have improved our stay. For instance, the phone in our bedroom did not work during the 3 days we stayed. However the staff working at the desk allowed us to make calls free of charge. Good location, a bit tricky to get to if you are driving. Parking is not included, which I thought was another minus. However I would probably stay again at Palau de la Mar if I went back to Valencia.

Hotel was great for our stay of 12 nights. Location is excellent with the park (inc. concert house, arts & science museum and aquarium) close by on one side and the old town on the other, BIg shopping centre is 5 min walk. Valencia feels like Barcelona but without the mass of tourists. Breakfast was very good each day with friendly and helpful staff. Room was relatively large with big bathroom. Not so luxurious but very good for the price. Sauna , pool and gym were very ok. Room service menu was a bit boring for a long stay and parking was quite expensive.

C'est peut-être exceptionnel mais si les murs sont épais et isolent bien des bruits venant des chambres voisines, les bruits venant du couloir sont très audibles; Nous avons apprécié: - le petit dejeuner très copieux et varié; - chambre climatisée -le spa avec hamam et sauna -personnel souriant et serviable A été désagréable -parking trop cher, en plus nous n'avons pas été prévenu que c'était payant; -ce n'est pas du racolage mais presque de la part du personnel pour vendre des soins corporels (massage etc...) -en cinq nuits passées à l'hôtel les taies d'oreiller n'ont pas été changées. Ce n'était pas le cas des draps.

Het hotel is prima gelegen vlakbij het centrum (loopafstand). Ontbijt is duur maar kan prima in de buurt ontbijten. Kamers zijn klein

L'hotel si presenta molto bene , le camere sono moderne ma vista la lontananza dal mare e il livello dell'hotel mi sarei aspetta una piscincina all'aperto anzichè una piccola piscina al chiuso e mal curata .

goede service en een mooie kamer in een nette buurt vlakbij het centrum.

Meget pent hotell, og supert personale! De snakket engelsk meget bra, og var veldig behjelpelig med spørsmål om Valencia. Koselige rom med flotte senger. Lite basseng, men greit å slappe av i. Boblebad et plyss, og meget god dampbadstue.

Dette var et fantastisk hotell med hyggelig betjening. Vi hadde kun èn natt men skulle gjerne hatt flere. Kommer tilbake.

Veldig bra beliggenhet - ikke langt å gå til gamle byen. Metro stasjon rett ved med dirkete linje til flyplass og strand. Bitte litte granne slitt men veldig fine store rom, og alltid rent og pent. Veldig hyggelige og behjelpelige.

Giv dig selv og din kære en skøn oplevelse på dette hotel som byder på en meget høj standard i service niveau og faciliteter. Restauranten byder på en flot morgenmads buffet og om aftenen bydes på et flot menukort med varierede specialiteter og smags menu.
