Very good hotel, amazing beach - top notch service. An hour drive from the airport - worth it to avoid crowds etc. very good decently priced restaurants.

The Deluxe Suite was beautiful! Overall in-room service was excellent. The daily complimentary breakfast spread was good, accompanied with extremely warm and friendly waiters. The Spa services is a must visit! Had 2 massage sessions each lasting 1.5 hours long on 2 separate days, techniques were consistent and staff was friendly. However, there was a mix-up at the front desk over our airport transfer services. We were waiting at the lobby, made several enquiries with the receptionist, was forgotten, was told the driver was on his way… only to find out later that the mini-van driver was parked some distance away all the while. We had paid an additional 500Baht for a stopover at the supermarket, but this time was eaten into due to the mix-up.

Thanks to hotels.com me and my partner were able to spend 1 week at the katathani hotel! We got an amazing discount and after this holiday we have become closer . It is in a quiet location but still close enough to shop at kata centre, the staff were lovely , the beach was crystal clear , the restaurants were delicious and I couldn't of asked for anything more! There are several hotels in Phuket but nothing compares to the katathani! I feel so happy and relaxed at home with the best pictures and memories .

We had booked for 3 nights stay with our 1st night at Junior Suite (oceanfront) & the following nights at Junior Suite (Seaview) as the oceanfront room was fully booked. We had a complimentary upgrade to Royal Suite Room (full seaview, Jacuzzi) for the 1st night upon Arrival by Assistant Manager. During check-in, we had been told that we need to check out by 12 noon on the next day & need to re-check in into Junior Suite (Seaview) room latest by 2pm. At 1st we thought it could be troublesome to do so. What a surprise to us! When we walked pass the lobby in the evening, the Assistant Manager approached us, telling us that they can provide us a complimentary upgrade for our entire 3-night stay at the amazing Royal Suite Room. It made us so touched that the Assistant Manager not only could recognise each of his customers/remembered my name, but also considerate enough to understand customers' need & acted accordingly. Other Pros: i) Free transfer to room by buggy upon check-in & check-out; ii) Complimentary cakes with Happy Anniversary; iii) Fragrance Oil in bath room upon arrival; iv) Complimentary drinks (soft drinks & mineral waters) v) Cleanliness of the room was perfect vi) Thani wings very close to beach & pools Cons: i) In-room wifi is chargeable (though free internet is available at lobby) ii) Tennis rackets are chargeable

I would highly recommend this place for a romantic getaway. We got the delux room, there are two versions, one being bigger and nicer than the other so it pays to ask. It will always be a very memorable place for us.

I remember the beach at Kata Noi as being the nicest beack in Phuket. However it has become very comercial and w too many people on it. Ko Samui much better value and atmostphere. The Hotel was a disaster definatly poor value for money unless u are over 60. It was more like a retirement home. I will not stay there again. There are so many places to stay in Thailand and this was not one of them..sorry

Overall a good experience at Katathani few points to the minus: *Quite big issue with humidity in the room. *Disappointed that we had to pay extra for sun beds at the so-called private beach (not a private beach). *Language skills of restaurant personnel was not adequate.

Overall service was very good. Front Office / Reception staff were not very friendly and could do with some training in customer service. We asked for a deluxe room with kingsize bed, extra bed and baby cot and this was not catered for despite our specific request. Had to change rooms on the 2nd day as our requested room was not available upon arrival. Furthermore, for families with young children, the restaurants in the evening only open from 18.30 onwards - should consider to open from 18.00 onwards.

Fabulous place to stay. The resort is out of the busy areas of Phuket which makes it very relaxing. If you want to go to restaurants and for shopping the resort is only a short distance by tuk tuk to Kata or 30mins to Patong. You can also easily walk to Kata. The resort facilities are great - plenty of pools, a lovely beach and breakfast was great too. The room was pleasant but needed a bit of an upgrade. However, the facitilies and staff at the resort more than made up for the room. Having seen quite alot of areas of Phuket while we were there, we would definately go back to Kata Noi Beach and stay at Katathani. If you are not a party animal and like to be out of the busy areas but still be in reasonable distance to them then this is a great place to stay.

I liked the hotel and restaurant. My only complaint they do not provide free wireless internet in the rooms. The free cafe computers were slow and not very reliable.

Its very nice but VERY expensive. It's quite far from town proper so youll definitely shell out cash to get to places. No free wifis and you pay for practically almost everything. It's very secluded so the beach is clean and not crowded.

We have just returned from 10 days in Phuket and were fortunate to have spent the first 5 nights at The Shore. By far the best place we have ever stayed, and yet we have been to many beautiful places. We could not fault The Shore in any way, it is just so beautiful and sets the benchmark for exceptional service and luxurious accommodation. Apart from the truly spectacular views and gorgeous suites, The Shore provides all the little extras that set them apart from other 5 star hotels - fresh, fragrant flowers every day, handmade treats at turn down each evening, exceptionally comfortable beds, pod coffee machines in rooms, and very reasonable prices for drinks and food. There is nothing overlooked, I really don't think The Shore could be improved in any way, and the individual infinity pools provide a feeling of exclusivity. The hotel has a real boutique feel, small enough to offer personal service but everything you could ever need. Breakfast by the pool is relaxed and beautifully prepared. The staff are always so considerate and helpful, always ready to assist but also providing privacy. And Kata Noi Beach is beautiful too, private, quiet, very clean and such a lovely place to relax and unwind. We will never be able to stay anywhere else in Phuket, this hotel is the best of the best and once experienced nothing else compares!

The Resort is labelled 5-star and I think that is just about holds that rating - although soon the rooms will need to be decorated/re-vamped as they are getting rather dog-eared. Ostensibly, money needs to be spent upgrading the rooms - we stayed in a Grand Suite on the Thani Wing. All resort grounds well kept; pools great; proximity to the sea was also superb, right on the beach. Fitness centre was good, recreation room for the children (I took two boys aged 9 and 11). Food on the whole was okay/good although apart from the Buffet Breakfast and lunch as the beach bar, we never dined 'in-house' for dinner. The biggest let-down to me was the wireless Internet connection. Firstly, we stayed for 5 days and were told we could book hourly, daily or a 15 day pass. We asked if we could book a 5 day or a week pass and were told 'no'. So we bought a 15 day pass at the cost of 900 Baht - cheaper than the daily version of 200 Baht a day. But that wireless Internet connection in the room was totally unreliable and being a businessman that has to work whilst on vacation, I was constantly calling reception to get the IT people to call the providers to reset the router. This was agonising and happened 2-3 times a day. On our morning of departure, I happened to need to work at 5am online and could not for love nor money get online. I called reception and the receiptionist just wearily said he would just speak to someone .... and then promptly put the phone down on me. I went all the way to reception at 5am with my laptop, showed him and the duty manager that it would not connect to the Wifi and explained that they MUST get wifi access for me as my work was most urgent. They said they would call the IT people. 15 minutes later I had wireless access in the room and submitted my work at 7.30am - a little over an hour past the schedule. So if you want a hotel that is 5 star (just), superb grounds and location, very relaxing in most respects, then this resort would be for you. But

The staff are very helpful to customers except some housekeeping staff for assistance.

We had booked a room with a sea view. On aarival we were shunted to the other side of the road (not beach front) into a terrible room a long way from reception. We refused the room and finally after threatening to leave they upgraded us - no better. Again we asked to leave and they up-graded us again to the beach side at a extra cost of A$55.00 per night. The staff were rude, the food overpriced the drinks poorly mixed. Never again will we go to this place.

This resort is in front of kata noi beach, but a little bit far from kata beach, actually it's walk distance, but not convenience for walking. Resort is very beautiful, staff is friendly, breakfast is also good. You can see many old couples and families here, most of them come from Russia. We take taxi (outside of the resort) to PATONG, it charged 800b/return, the price is reasonable. Overall, it's a good place for a relax&peceful holiday!

The hotel and beach were very nice. However be prepared to spend ALOT of money. Their prices for EVERYTHING was high! For example an all inclusive dinner (minus alcohol) was about $35.00 I'd rate their cuisine as SATISFACTORY. As for the alcohol it cost about 3-4 times what you would pay in Patong or Kata. I highly recommend going out of the hotel for dinner. A bottle of small bottle suntan lotion would cost you about $17.00. If you walk down the road you can get the same bottle of lotion for about $4.00. It's a nice hotel.........but be warned that you will have to pay big $$$$ for everything. NO FREEBEES AT THIS PLACE!!!!!! They even charge you for internet....and WIFI....!!! For as much as I heard about this hotel I have to say I was a little disappointed. This is my fourth trip to Thailand. My previous 3 trips I stayed at much cheaper and better hotels with just as good beaches.....and I didn't have to spend a fortune like at this hotel.

In general it was ok, however we were given a room right next to a lift and it was very noise whenever it was in use, although I have asked in advance to have a room in a good location. Rooms are a bit old for the price and need an upgrade. For the price I am sure we could get a much better quality hotel. Coctails at the bar are not of the best quality for the price too, well next time I will defenately stay elsewhere.

Briefly, here is a list of pros and cons of our stay: Pros: 1) Great location and right by the beach (across small street) 2) Lovely outdoor setting/gardens 3) Good children's club with activities! 4) Fast, good room service 5) Great choice of well kept pools. 6)Very nice concierge to help with booking tours. 7) Lovely option to change your mattresses/pillows to suit your soft or hard bed preferences. 8) Gave us a breakfast box to the airport each, since we checked-out to early in the morning to have breakfast! Very thoughtful! Cons: 1) Service is mediocre at best. When we first checked-in, despite our long, tiring trip, we were lambasted for 15 minutes about an email miscommunication regarding airport transportation. It really couldn't have waited until we were a bit settled in???!!! 2) Restaurants are overpriced for average food and seemed understaffed (plates remained on table and difficult to get drink refills, etc) 3) No alarm clock, iron or ironing board in room. 4) Only one beach towel per person per 24 hour period! Silly towel policy that is ridiculous when you have children that swim at the beach and the pool multiple times per day!!! 5) Bhurri rooms (not sure about other rooms) don't offer any privacy between the bathroom and rest of the hotel room. There is a shower and a strange water feature that "seperate" the rooms. Once a light is on in the bathroom it lights everything up and you can hear everything in there too. Sorry, but with kids, you want them to stay asleep once they nod off! Just go to the multitude of other hotels instead. It will be cheaper and probably less hassle.

This is our 2nd stay at the Katathani. It is a wonderful hotel with such lovely helpful staff. The staff could not do more for you, were friendly, smiley and seemed genuinely happy to help with anything they could. The beach is excellent although I did think the jet skis were an accident waiting to happen, sometimes getting too close to bathers for my liking. We will definitely be returning.

After driving to the beach previously, I decided that I wanted to stay at this resort so this trip I booked 4 nights. The rate included breakfast which was delicious. The staff was very friendly and attentive. They always showed up 5 minutes after calling (for ice, power converter, extra towel). The resort grounds are picturesque. Too many pools to count and the sand and water are clean. No need to go anywhere as the resort ad restaurants are reasonable.

Resort was exactly what we needed and lived up to expectations. Clean, friendly, comfortable and wonderfully peaceful considering school holiday.

Nothing to complain about, at all. If i were forced to make a complaint about this piece of heaven, It'd be that gave me service that I would have never dreamed of having. Couples who are thinking of a honeymoon destination, they would treat you like gods, and leave you alone at the right times. You'll be in great hands.

Wow this place is huge. Everything was well taken care of and with security roaming 24/7 you felt very safe. This secluded Resort at the end of the a string of other hotels/motels has it's own private beach and is nice getaway from the rest of phuket. Sure you can visit the city and patong beach with all it's chaos and wildness but it's nice to retire to this beautiful resort and 5 different pools.

There's no bad word on staff. They anticipate almost every unspoken wish. Always respectfully smiling. A drawback is that internet access is extra charged and only comes with an annoying id/password login everytime you hock up - try to remember a 12 digit user credentials when couching at the beach front. However, I addressed and I was provided with a custom id/password that I was able to remember. Confirms my statement about the very capable staff. However, If you don't require Internet for work/studies, it's a great relaxing place worth the price you pay. The food is always fresh; cutlery clean and polished. Pools are above regular architectural standards and a lovely place to dip your toes while reading a book. Shade is provided by palm trees and tautly cloth (still though some red lobster populate the site). The hotel-owned beach comes with lots of trash washed up by the currents in low-seasons. But, you may accompany the staff cleaning up the beach - great idea to sensitize on green-planet aspects.

We had a good time. Only complain is lack of Complementary Internet. I expected this for Hotels.com customers. The hotel staff was good.

I stayed at the Katathani in late August 2009 with two friends. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted with towels to cool ourselves down and drinks----the service was only uphill from there. We had no problems getting a room with three beds here (most other hotels we looked at charged extra). The staff is very friendly and honest and the rooms are clean, classy and have great views of the pool and the beach and ocean beyond it. All in all, this was a very peaceful and relaxing resort. We went during the off-season, so the hotel was quieter but I got the sense the staff would be equally attentive during the busy season. The hotel is within walking distance of Kata town and a very quick cab/tuk tuk ride from Phuket town. Be warned that everyone will try to overcharge for cabs to Phuket - the price is always negotiable! If you're looking for a honeymoon resort or just a fun place to stay, away from the frat boys, backpackers and sleazy old sex tourists, this is it.

푸켓의 여러비치 중 카타비치로 선택했다면 탁월한 선택. 그리고 이곳 카타타니 리조트의 선택역시 만족할만하다.로비 체크인시에 더위를 시키는 손수건과 환영에 꽃팔찌, 피치쥬스로 목마름까지 달래요. 해변이 연결되어 바다와 수영장을 다 안고 멋진 휴양지 일과욕을 즐길수 있어요. 룸도 깨끗하고 뷰는 말할꺼 없이 아름다운 석양을 안겨요. 약간의 눅눅함은 당신이 바다를 원한다면 감내할 자연의 흐름이죠. 하지만, 제가 다른 숙소에서 머물러본 봐 카타타니리조트의 위치가 조금 외진건 사실이에요. 주변에 고급리조트 몇개가 다고...툭툭이를 타고 카타비치의 번화가로 나가는데도 200바트나 써야해요. 전 카타팜이 저렴했어도 아주 좋았어요. 만약 수영장과 해변의 석양까지 모두 원하면서 푸켓의 해변에 서민적인 해변문화도 즐기시려면 카타비치리조트가 위치로는 최고일듯해요.

Отдых в отеле очень понравился. Прекрасная территория, номер, уборка на отлично. Завтраки очень хорошие ( много различных блюд, свежевыжатые соки, разнообразные фрукты). На территории отеля работают сертифицированные массажистки ( цена на массаж как в салонах за отелем). В этом отеле много отдыхающих с детьми ( в отеле все для детей- прекрасный пляж, море, территория, детский клуб). Ставлю за сервис "хорошо", т.к. не всегда выполняли наши просьбы ( не был готов ланч-бокс , я уезжал в 6 утра на дайвинг- заказывал заранее; два раза ночью срабатывала пожарная сигнализация в номере-работники отеля даже не извинились за причиненные неудобства). Добраться до отеля можно на такси-метр ( дешевле чем заказать трансфер от отеля). В отеле отличный дайв-центр.

KataThani Phuket Beach Resort er simpelthen et dejligt hotel. Det ligger på den bedste strand på Phuket og selve hotellet fungerer rigtigt godt, god service, mange smil og ingen fejl. Eneste minus er at det ligger lidt væk fra Kata Town, og vejen dertil er op og ned af bakker, så en Tuk-Tuk kan ikke undgås. Men helt klart et sted at vende tilbage til.

여러모로 고민 끝에 결정한 까따따니 비치 리조트! 훌륭합니다~! 해변이 코앞이라 침구가 눅눅하다든지 하는 평은 우기에나 해당되는 얘기인듯 싶네요. 아시아인은 저 외에 한커플밖에 못봤고 아침 조식도 만족스럽고 호텔 체크아웃후 이용하는 란타 서비스는 훌륭하기 그지없네요~!!추천합니당 ㅎㅎ

Extraordinaire!

プーケットでは数少ないオンザビーチホテルです。大きなホテル（500室弱）ですが、ホテル従業員も多くとても快適です。プールで寝そべっていると（そろいのホテル認可のマッサージおばさんが、）60分300Ｂｔｈ（800円）で全身マッサージをやってくれます。（ホテル外でマッサージに行く必要なし極楽です）。ホテル目の前のＯＲＣＨＩＤというシーフード系レストラン最高です。何が最高って蟹チャーハンが（ＦｒｉedＲｉｃｅ　ＷｉｔｈＣｒａｂ）蟹ゴロゴロで最高に美味しいです。２回も食べました８０Ｂｔｈ（３００円です）日本で食べたら１５００円位するかな～？。パトンビーチからは離れており（車２０分程）周辺は馬鹿騒ぎも無く静かで綺麗なオンザビーチホテルです。また行きたいですね。

Positive: - Nice beach and swimming pools - Standard buffet breakfast, many options on style of egg/omelet - Spa was good with reasonable price - Better stay at Ocean Front Suite (Thani Wing) Negative: - Lack of toothbrush and toothpaste - Location is far away from airport, better drive on your own or arrange a taxi transfer - Wi-Fi need to be charged 200B for 1 hour, maximum 500B for 24 hours.

临近海滩，漂亮宁静，有人不是很多，只是交通不是很方便，只要才够足够的必需品，舒舒服服的呆上几天还是很不错的选择

リゾートと言う名を間違いなく満足させているホテルと言えます。 敷地も広大で、プールも６つあり、ジャグジーなど設置されている所もあり、プールには非常に満足しております。 また、緑のお庭も沢山あり、お庭でマッサージも受けられると言うサービスもありました。 ビーチ沿いを独占しているので、プライベートビーチではないけどプライベートビーチ感満載です。 残念ながら雨季の為、夕陽には恵まれませんでしたが、乾季ならきっと素敵な夕陽が見られるのでは？ また、雨季ではありましたが海の水はとても綺麗で満足できました。 ホテルの近くにはレンタルバイクもありましたので、バイクを借りて散策も出来、非常に良かったです。

El hotel queda a una hora del aeropuerto pero cuando llegas te esperan con toallas frescas, collar de flores y un rico trago heladito, la habitacion tenia muy buen aroma a flores y un baño muy entretenido ya que entre la habitacion y el baño tiene vidrio, los desayunos son buffet muy variado, las comidas eran muy bien atendidas y ricas el hotel en general es muy lindo, limpio con muchos jardines. en primera linea del mar y bien atendido, en los jardines hay personas para hacerte masajes que te los cargan a la habitacion,internet es gratis, cuando nos fuimos era muy temprano y nos dejaron una caja con nuestro desayuno para el camino. Si no fuera tan lejos de Chile volveria cada vez que necesite un buen descanso.

전반적으로 편안한 여행이 되었습니다. 주위에 볼꺼리는 많이 없었지만 리조트내에서의 휴식공간은 단순히 휴양으로는 적합한 곳이었습니다. 식당이나 다른 편의 시설도 어느정도 휴식하기에는 적절한 것 같았습니다. 한가지 흠이라면 수영장 주위의 간의 식당에서의 음식수준은 좀 많이 떨어지는 편이어서 이부분이 좀 아쉬웄습니다.
