Villa Laguna - البندقية

We travelled to Venice with two children (aged 8 and 10). The hotel was great and being in the Lido meant we were away from the buzz of the city in the evenings. The fact that the children had their own room within the suite was a bonus - and they loved the jacuzzi bath! The only two small points were a lack of childrens TV channels in English and no hot water the first evening. We would certainly recommend this hotel and will stay there again!!

We loved being on the Lido away from the hustle and bustle, although you are limited in choice of restaurants. Very convenient being right next door to the waterbus. The view of San Marco from the dining room is breathtaking, well worth the short trek each day over to San Marco. Breakfast is continental so the usual breads, pastries, cereals, etc. Only complaint is that the beds are a little on the hard side! The staff were very helpful from the minute we stepped through the door until we departed. We would definitely stay again. Tip: don't bother to spend 70-80 euro on a gondala trip that lasts no more than 15 minutes - spend the money on a good food; you can see the same sights from the small bridges in the back streets. Getting lost in Venice is part of your trip and you won't be lost for long!

Right across the lagoon from San Marco Piazza, about a 5-10 minute boat ride. Very friendly staff that spoke excellent English. They helped me locate my suitcase when the airline misplaced it. Good breakfast, plent of food. In a great location near many restaurants. Good sized room and internet wokred well. We were a family of four (two small children) and were very comfortable in a room with the lagoon view, although the windows facing the lagoon were quite small. I would definitely be staying here again my next time in Venice.

The hotel is located on an island just south of the main city of Venice, with a beautiful view of the city. Getting to the hotel by water bus is extremely easy - it is literally the next building over from the "Lido" island water bus stop. The staff is very friendly, the morning breakfast is delicious, and the hotel is clean and well maintained. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a place to stay without going broke!

The hotel was literally 20 feet from the water ferry station. Great location and precious staff. Great size rooms!

A very nice hotel, it was comfy in a cozy kind of way, not real luxurious but a nice hotel. the room was great with a super view of Venice. It was great to be out of the hustle and crowds of Venice. Great litlle area around the hotel to stroll and enjoy a gelato or good restaurants.

This is a wonderful little hotel just outside Venice. It's a sanctuary from the madness come the end the day. We got a suite room that had it's own private garden area which overlooked Venice which was brilliant for watching the sun go down with a drink or two.

The hotel was in an excellent location, pay a little extra for a great view. Worth visiting the beach. A lovely stay.

This hotel lived up to our expectations. We stayed in a suite with a lagoon view. Beautiful views at sunset. The restaurant staff were friendly and attentive and the food was lovely. We would definitely recommend the half board option. We stayed in a suite (bedroom, living area, walk in wardrobe, bathroom). Although the room was smaller than expected it was tastefully decorated with some lovely features. The vaporetta stop was a minute walk away and the water bus ran every 10 minutes during the day and every hour at night. Lido is a relaxed and laid back island with a beach. It is a great location if you don't mind taking the vaporetta to St. Marks Square (about 10-15 mins away).

We picked this hotel just from reading the reviews and I could not find one negative thing to say! This was our first trip to Venice and this spot was ideal for us. We had a lovely view of the lagoon out our windows and it is steps from the main water taxi stops. I was also very pleased with how quiet, clean and comfortable our two room suite was. Staff spoke excellent English and was very helpful with answering our questions. Breakfast was served in a lovely dining room over-looking the water- simple, good, and free! The photos are very acurate and it really was lovely. The neighborhood felt safe and there was plenty of casual restaurants, a bakery and even a supermarket within walking distance. I highly recommend, do not hesitate!!!

We had room on the second floor looking over the water at the main island, Venice. The hotel is about 50 yards from the waterbus station,making it very convenient to get to all the other islands. (Recommend getting waterbus pass for the duration of your stay.) Restaurant was quiet and very nice. The breakfast buffet was very tasty with an assortment of cereals, breads, pasteries, fruits, and cheeses/cold meats. Excellent coffee. We would definitely return. Also good dinner menu.

We stayed here 5 nights and were super impressed with this Hotel, it is in a quiet location only a 10 minute boat ride from St Marks Square and allows easy access to Burano and Murano islands which make nice day trips. The Lido neighborhood is very upscale and has a couple of excellent resturants.It is also close to a huge beach area. The beakfast buffett is delicious and the view across the water to Venice is a great way to start the day.The hotel staff are very friendly and allways willing to help.

Hotel Villa Laguna is a lovely and pleasant hotel with friendly, helpful staff with stunning views of Venice a short distance across the lagoon from the breakfast room. Just 10-15mins by vaporetto to St. Marks square from the boat station right next to the hotel. Very clean rooms with optional kitchenette at extra cost. Although the bathroom was "petite et bijou" the bedroom and separate living area were both spacious - both with independent air con cooling/heating system. Only downside was poor sound-proofing in attic rooms with traffic noise from nearby road. Although this was fine if you take ear-plugs. Breakfast was pleasant with an adequate selection of food. However, best to ask for cappuccino in the morning as the normally served instant coffee was weak. Nice to return to a quiet relaxing hotel after a busy day's sight-seeing in Venice. Staff were very friendly and helpful and cleaning/maintenance staff were very efficient - for example the hotel had a collection of electrical plug adapters to borrow as I had forgotten one to charge my UK mobile. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again - and we have already recommended it to friends.

The Villa Laguna is only a 5 minute vaparetto ride from the main Venice islands. The views from its dining room are spectacular. The breakfast buffet is as complete a brunch as one could hope for. We had a suite with a private deck for less than a room on the main islands. It is a 40 minute vaparetto ride from the train terminal to Lido, but once on the island it is only a 5 minute ride back to Venice. The staff was attentive to all our needs. The only downside is that the wi-fi service is a bit overpriced: 5 euros for the first hour!

This was the perfect hotel for us. We were there for 4 nights. 2 of the days we spent on the lovely public beach (short easy walk from the hotel) in the sun. The other day we went into Venice on the vaporetti. Hotel couldn't have done more to make our stay more enjoyable. Room stunning. Breakfast delicious. View from gardens incredible. Service best we've had anywhere in world.

Excellent in all respects. We were made extremely welcome and the service was excellent and friendly throughout our stay. The Hotel has a fantastic location with wonderful views. The rooms were delightful and the meals excellent.

THE LOCATION WAS WONDERFUL! THE SUITE WAS GREAT AND HAD A GREAT VIEW OF VENICE.

The hotel is steps away from the vaparetto stop, and lagoon facing rooms have the perfect view of Venice. My room was the only non-suite, but very large by European standards, and clean. The breakfast buffet was good--the typical fare: sliced meats and cheese, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, fruit and cereals, plus pastries. Cocktails in the garden is an unparalled experience--expansive view of Venice, lovely bartender and attentive staff, and seating in romantic red and white cabanas. The dinner service was less good--the staff were nice but seemed rushed and distracted, and the food was only average and thus overpriced. That said, eating well in Venice is an art form, so this is probably a good balance of price and location. There was a massive rainstorm during dinner and the dining room roof sprung several leaks. The staff rushed to control the water flow, but there was little they could do. They were apologetic, but no effort was made to "comp" the diners for the fuss. They later explained that the building was historic, and recent renovations obviously were imperfect--I'm sure they're fixing this. I thought the wifi expense was a little too high considering most visitors are tourists, simply seeking to keep up with work email and the like. All in all, I would love to stay at this hotel again, for the view, the location, the clean and nice rooms, and the front desk and bar staff.

The hotel's location has a beautiful view of venice. It is situated in Lido, an island about 2 stops boat ride from the famous san marco square, about 10 stops from santa lucia train station. It is about 30 (private boat) to 1 hour (public boat) ride from marco polo airport. Great location with a lot of public transportation access. The hotel staff were fantastic (especially the lady) and very helpful even in time of medical need which we had during our stay. The only thing one must consider in staying in an island is when there is a strike in public transportation, which we avoided by 1 day. The cost of private boat ride is so expensive. But if there is no strike, the public transportation is great and gets you everywhere. Make sure you buy a multi-day pass.

Nicely-renovated hotel with good views of Venice. You are a dozen steps from the vaporetti landing, so if you have a multi-day bus/water pass (which almost everyone does), you are a short boat ride from Piazza San Marco. It's amazingly convenient and provides a nice included breakfast in their big open dining room facing the lagoon. It's also easy to get to the airport from there---a straight ride on the Alilaguna line. Quiet, was able to provide a no-smoking room, staff was pleasant. We had a six-year-old and got a two-room suite where she had her own bed and balcony overlooking the boat landing. She loved it. Also: 10-minute brisk walk to the beach.

Ideal location for water bus stop providing quick and easy access to San Marco - only booked in for 1 night but enjoyed the hotel, staff very helpful and friendly.

This hotel is in a good location being ideally situated for both it's proximity to the vaparetto stations and for the beautiful views across the lagoon towards Venice. The lovely dining room and adjoining terrace both take full advantage of the views as do the front facing rooms. We booked a standard room which meant our room did not face the lagoon which was disappointing but it was a clean and comfortable room nevertheless. If we were to return we would possibly choose to pay more and get a suite with lagoon view. It is generally cheaper to eat out in Lido than Venice.

Trivelig hotel med flott beliggenhet. Nært ferjeleiet og med en fantastisk utsikt over lagunen inn mot Venezia. Det anbefales å bestille rom mot lagunen fordi på baksiden av hotellet er det en vei og selv om ikke trafikken er overvettes stor er det en del støy. Særlig på grunnplan.

Efter att ha fått ganska negativ feedback på Venedig som resmål blev vi mycket positivt överraskade av stan och detta hotell. På dagarna Venedigs alla smala gränder, Marcusplatsen etc och på kvällen lugnet och harmonin på Lidostranden och Villa Laguna. Diskret toppservice och gott om trevliga smårestautanger på gångavstånd. Avslutar gör man med en trevlig promenad lägs med kajen eller stranden (300 meter emellan dem båda). +++

alles was perfect: suite onder het dak met een prachtig zicht op de laguna en de skyline van Venetië. Openlucht Loungebar direct aan het water. Service en restaurant uitstekend. Ontbijt in buffetstijl, geen overweldigend aanbod, maar wat er stond was meer dan voldoende. Zeer vriendelijk en attent personeel. Een aanrader!

Das Hotel ist schön keine Frage. Von der Größe des Standartzimmers waren wir allerdings enttäuscht, es war sehr beengt. Wer darauf wert legt sollte eine Kategorie höher wählen. Dafür war es sehr hübsch eingerichet, wie im ganzen Hotel sind die Möbel schön auf einander abgestimmt. Einen Hoteleigenen Parkplatz gibt es gegen eine Tagesgebühr von 12 Euro. Hatte ich eigentlich anders verstanden. Aber am Strand gibt es kostenlose Parkmöglichkeiten. Das Frühstück war eher bescheiden aber der Kaffee ne Wucht. Alleine wegen der Nähe zu den Wasserbussen würde ich dieses Hotel wieder buchen.

Das Hotel ist sehr gut geführt mit großzügig und gut ausgestatteten Zimmern/Suiten. Sehr schöne Lage mit phantastischem Ausblick auf die Lagune und Venedig. Gutes Frühstücksbuffet und sehr freundlicher Service. Zentral gelegen zum Zentrum vom Lido und zum Bootsanleger.

sehr gute Lage am Lido in unmittelbarer Nähe zum ACTV-Bootsanleger nach San Marco und zum Zentrum vom Lido mit Geschäften und Restaurants. Großzügige Zimmer (jeweils Schlafzimmer und Wohnzimmer), ansprechendes Frühstück, Traumblick auf die Lagune und Venedig. Freundlicher Service. Restaurant war während Wintersaison noch geschlossen, kann nicht beurteilt werden. Wer lärmempfindlich ist, sollte Zimmer zur Lagune (teurer) buchen. Ein Teil der Zimmer geht zur Via Sandro Gallo, ist eine stark befahrene Hauptstraße. Achtung: kein Parkplatz für Pkw direkt am Hotel, Ein- und Ausladen Gepäck aus Pkw vor Hotel kompliziert, da überall Halteverbot. Eine echte Alternative zu den Hotels direkt in Venedig, die bei gleichem Preis kein so großzügiges Zimmer anbieten können. Fahrschein für öffentlichen Bootsverkehr unerlässlich, Fahrtzeit mit Linie 1 vom Lido zu San Marco ca. 20 Minuten

(zu)grosse Entfernung für mit der Bahn Anreisende (1 Stunde mit dem Vaporetto. Das Vaporetto (Motorschiff) ist meistens stark besetzt bis überfüllt; fast kein Platz für das Gepäck). Das Hotel bietet keine Abholmöglichkeit an. Das Wassertaxi kostet für 4 Personen mit Gepäck EUR 90.-- vom Bahnhof (Ferrovia) bis zum Hotel. Tagsüber ist man in Vendig unterwegs; der Heimweg zum LIDO beansprucht jedesmal ca 1 Stunde. Sehr gutes Restaurant im Hotel.

Utmärkt hotell 15 minuters båtresa från San Marco, på ön Lido. Man kan ta Valporetta, båt, direkt från flygplatsen till hotellet. Underbar utsikt över staden samt lagunen. Rent, snyggt, trevligt bemötande, personligt och hemtrevligt hotell. Frukost serverades i en härlig glasveranda. Fina promenadstråk på ön, nära till stranden Venice Beach. Vi bodde i ett standardrum men det var jättefint, nyrenoverat, tjusigt badrum, bra sängar. Ingen fri Wi-Fi dock, varken i lobbyn eller rummen. Fanns mot extra avgift, men det var väldigt dyrt. Rekommenderas varmt för en lugn och avkopplande vistelse en bit från stadens sus och dus.

très bel hôtel, service et accueil excellents, partie restaurant très agréable avec une belle carte , très bien situé sur le lido. A recommander absolument !!!

Hotellet er godt for dem, som gerne vil bo på Lidoen og nyde godt af stranden på den anden side. Der er 10 min ind til Marcuspladsen med vandbus, som holder til lige ved siden af hotellet. Det eneste minus er at der IKKE er fri WiFi og at en halvpension ikke på nogen måder er prisen værd. Spis i byen eller køb en middag for sig selv, hvis du ønsker at spise en aften på hotellet.

Hotellet ligger perfekt vid bryggan på Lidon. På 5 minuter är man inne i Venedig. Tyvärr fick vi nog ett av hotellets minsta rum, TV stod på en pall mitt på golvet. Kontrollera när ni bokar vilken typ av rum ni kommer att få. Detta rum var inte prisvärt. Det flesta rummen är sviter.

Bien situado frente a la plaza de San Marcos. Fácil acceso en vaporetto, junto a embarcadero. Personal muy amable y servicial. Habitación pequeña.

Vi ankom hotellet på ettermiddagen og ble mottatt av en herremann som het Fabio. En meget hyggelig og imøtekommende herremann som nesten er verdt hotelloppholdet alene. Hotellet ligger med en drømmeutsikt mot resten av Venezia (ST. Marks place) Du våkner opp til frokost hvor du nesten sitter i vannet og spiser. Ta en weekend på Villa Laguna. Vel verdt pengene

Vackert hotell. Vackra bekväma rum. Vi fick en svit med två rymliga rum och fint badrum. Det fanns tom ett litet kök . Trevlig personal. Underbart läge vid vattnet med egen trädgård. Så skönt att sjunka ner i en fåtölj och njuta av utsikten och stillheten med en espresso eller ett glas kallt Pinot Grigio efter en hel dags vandrande i Venedigs centrum! 10 minuters båtfärd till Madcusplatsen! Toppen! Mycket bra frukost, både svensk och italiensk.

Ett mycket bra hotell med trevlig personal och stora härliga rum. Perfekt läge vid lagunen på Lido, nära till vaparetto och buss. Gångavstånd till den stora sandstranden på Lido. Vi kommer gärna tillbaka hit!

Very pleasant hotel situated on the lido,highly recommended to people who want to stay out of the crowd and still very close to San Marco(12 minutes with the boat),very good service,friendly staff,could do better with the restaurant though.

Estupendohotel en Lido,hay que coger el vaporetto pero merece la pena.El desayunode cara a San Marcos es espectacular.

Supert hotell med flott beliggenhet. Å bo på Lido anbefales. Det er deilig å trekke seg tilbake fra selve Venezia og folketrengselen der. Lido er lyst, luftig og rent, og byr også på restauranter og butikker. Hotellet ligger rett ved båt-holdeplassen, og det tar kun 15 min til San Marko. Svært tiltalende og behagelig hotell. Hyggelig og svært service-minded betjening. Vi hadde en i reisefølget med cøliaki, noe de prøvde å imøtekomme i frokostmenyen. De klarte ikke å tilby glutenfritt brød, men skal ha for forsøket som ihvertfall resulterte i kake og kjeks. Ellers var ikke frokostbuffeten mye å skryte av, noe som visst er vanlig i Italia; hvitt brød og lite pålegg, frukt og frokostblandinger. Spiste på restauranten en kveld - det var helt ok. A hotel we would stay in again. We give it our best recommendations!

We hebben genoten van (helaas maar) twee dagen in Villa Laguna. Op een prachtige plaats, met een schitterend uitzicht. De medewerkers waren erg vriendelijk en hartelijk. We hebben er heerlijk gegeten, met uitzicht op het San Marco Plein. Het enige min-punt is dat er geen parkeerplaats bij het hotel is. Er is er één 700mtr verder op, maar daar had je voor moeten reserveren. Nu moesten we een parkeerplaats zoeken in de stad en alles is betaald parkeren en dus moest steeds de automaat worden bijgevuld. Maar al met al een geweldige plaats, we komen zeker een keer terug!
