The hotel front desk said that continental breakfast would be provided starting at 6:30 AM. I went to the breakfast room 6:40 AM on March 12 , 2013 and at 6:40 AM on March 13, 2013. The breakfast room was dark (no lights on) and no one was setting anything up on both mornings..

I enjoy staying in this hotel I am like family the day time workers are great..Carol is an asset to this hotel she knows her job. and she treats everyone the same. The maintenance man and the cleaning girl are always welling to help. The night girl is a story on her own. she is new but needs help learning how to talk to people and how to do her job alone. i never take my family or friends to work with me.

Loved that they allow dogs. My dog had a great time. The staff where very polite and helpful. They are also open year round! A great find.

It was better than many of the motels on that road without having a price that's out-of-sight. Breakfast had many choices - just wish they had maple syrup with the waffles. Had use of microwave so I could make my dinner and eat it quietly in the room. Pool was beautiful. Will most likely stay again.

Nice facilities. Would definitely recommend.

We overall enjoyed our stay. The things I did not enjoy had to do with other parties. I would have to complain about the party staying directly above our room was extremely active, and chose to walk about their room at all hours of the day/night. Their floor (our ceiling) was very creaky and it was inconvenient when we were trying to go to sleep. There was also a group of gentlemen in the breakfast area during the day/evening, and they were drinking alchohol for hours. I am not sure what group they were associated with, but as a woman, it was not a comfortable sight to walk by. If this were to occur in the future, please block off the room so the activities inside are not visible to your paying patrons.

We had a great time but would have been better with a microwave in the room and a bigger bathroom - fan didn't work. Wasn't crazy about the down feather bedding either. Close to beaches and attractions and free breakfast every morning was great!

The people were very nice. We loved or stay.

OUTSIDE APPEARANCE OF THE HOTEL WAS GOOD. NICE POOLS. THEY WERE CLEAN AND WELL LOCATED. HOWEVER THE RUGS WERE STICKY,THE TUB WAS BADLY STAINED,THE SHEETS WERE NOT CHANGED DAILY, AND THE MAIDS DID NOT RESTOCK ESSENTIAL ITEMS SUCH AS TOILET PAPER,SHAMPOO,AND LINERS FOR THE ICE BUCKET. i HAD TO GO TO THE FRONT DESK EACH DAY TO ASK FOR SOMETHING THAT WE RAN OUT OF. THE HUGE GAPS IN THE DOOR OF OUR ROOM LET SO MUCH LIGHT IN FROM THE HALLWAY THAT I COULDN'T SLEEP.

Convenient to beaches and restaurants. Nice indoor pool and good breakfast.

Our stay was very pleasant. The rooms are very small when travelling with three people. The vanity area in particular. Overall the hotel service was good, rooms clean, great neighborhood.

It clearly shows that the people running this hotel are proud of what they do. Very clean and well maintained and the staff was very helpful.

We enjoyed our stay. Early check-in was excellent, room was very clean and comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was very good. All in all - very good.

The bathroom was inadequate. Too small. Sink area cramped. Toilet/tub cramped. Room could have been reduced to make an adequately sized bathroom area. Wall should be removed between sink area and bath to give more space. Toilet too low in height. Towels small not fresh smelling. Outdoor pool had no shaded areas or umbrellas, no privacy fencing or bushes, bus parking allowed along side of outdoor pool. Back door was not locked at anytime due to broken latch. Breakfast rooms were not air-conditioned and it was extremely hot . Small size of room inadequate for number of guests. Layout of food didn't flow.

We were very happy staying at the hotel. We liked the location. It was clean. It was quiet.

Overall, this hotel was terrible. Other than a great location, it had nothing to offer. The room was dirty (carpet, bedding and bathroom), there were cigarette holes on the blanket, the room smelled terrible, the carpet left my feet black...I could go on and on. I would NEVER recommend this hotel to anyone. Sleeping in my car would have been a better option. Thankfully it was only for one night!

Hotel outdated.... .service at the front desk was OK.... Air conditioner quit at 8:00pm ,the manager called when we were in bed ...10:00 pm and offered to change rooms...at that point we declined ..breakfast was OK....overall the hotel is over priced

My first tip should have been seeing the window open upon entering the room. Hard beds, red stains on the shower curtain, black stains on the towels. Filling watering cans in the sink next to me when I was trying to prepare my continental breakfast (eg still frozen bagel and coffee that was less palatable than battery acid) was a nice touch.

Very nice and quiet stay.

great value! Kids enjoyed their stay.

Thank you for a pleasant stay. We enjoyed being able to keep our pets with us. The location was great, and so was the pool. We also liked the breakfast. We have stayed here several times and plan to return.

The only reason I gave a 4 for the condition/maintenance of the hotel was due to the outside grounds. The areas that did have bushes/trees for my dog also had a lot trash, so it was difficult to walk him around it. I must point out, these are the areas in the back edge of the hotel property, not the areas that guests would typically be around, those were fine. I should also point out that the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. I arrived a lot earlier than anticipated and they were quick to find a room for me to check in early. Very nice and would definitely stay again.

The hotel was pretty nice, pool and hot tub were clean. Staff let us stay in extra after hot tub was closed, and much appreciated. However, four displaced section 8 families were staying there and made the relaxation time not so relaxing. I was not happy about paying decent money to relax for a couple days and have to deal with obnoxious behaviors. Positives: make your own waffles available for the continental breakfast, take-out across the street, lots of parking, flat screen t.v in room, lowest pet per day charge that I found.

Our stay was in February 2012, linens were clean, towels fresh, pool and hot tub clean, and staff was pleasant, housekeepers kept the room clean and provided fresh towels each day. Dogs are allowed, and I was pleasantly surprised that they did not disturb us at all with barking or uncleanliness. The only complaint we have is that since breakfast is provided in the cost, they need to have someone available to restock items that are out. Many items would be out for anywhere from 15-30 minutes. Not good. The fresh pastries and muffins featured in their directory is not what is served - everything is prepackaged. The waffle maker is a great hit - they just need to keep the batter filled so people can use it. Overall, pretty good value for the price, and very convenient to beaches and all surrounding towns - it's right on the main route with many other retail shops and very safe.

We were looking forward for this trip down the Cape for a few weeks. We chose this hotel for its location and price. The room was supposed to be smoke free, however we found a few cigerette buts in a glass on the night stand. We were offered a new room but did not accept since the room did not smell like cigerette smoke. However, the room was supposed to be smoke free and it was supposed to be cleared thouroughly before we checked in. The beds were so hard and we could feel all the springs in the mattress, we could barely sleep. If we did fall asleep we were woken up by the heating system making very loud clanking noises. We were told that the beds were new but with new beds you can not feel the coils. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

My wife and I stayed here for a weekend in February 2012 and were very satisfied with our accomodations. Our only issues were the "queen" beds were very small and the bathroom was a bit small as well. Otherwise, we were happy with our stay and would definitely go here again.

I was in the area trying to purchase a house and needed a hotel for several days. The Ambassador turned out to be very acceptable for my needs. The complimentary breakfast was really nice and very convenient for me. The hotel was clean, the staff were very polite, and they put a new flat-screen TV in my room while I was there! At this off-season time, the hotel was VERY QUIET and the price was unbeatable.

The hotel was a good experience for just staying there while doing other things in town. The pool and hot tub were clean and well maintained. The breakfast was excellent and the staff was very nice and accommodating. The overall condition of the hotel is on the downhill. There were two neatly folded clean towels on the floor of my room (I guess it was wet underneath? I was afraid to look). The towels remained there all weekend. That did not bother me, just strange. There are very few channels on the TV but they did have HBO and free internet! This hotel is within walking distance to really good restaurants and well worth the price, I would stay there again.

Last weekend we wanted to get away for a nice weekend and we stayed at the Ambassador Hotel and had a great time! It was great that we were able to bring our dog and the kids had a great time swimming. Our room was very clean along with the overall hotel. Breakfast was delicious and rates were very reasonable. I would certainly recommend this hotel to my friends and we would love to come back!

The room was very cold, It was not like they were expecting us. We made resevations ahead of time.

This is my second time staying there and for the price I have paid it has been great. Contintal breakfast free and with a little bit of everything my kids favorite waffles. Pool,whirlpool and sauna all in perfect temps. Definitely coming back next time I go down the Cape.

Any pet friendly hotel is great by me. The only problem was when we upgraded to a King Matteress by phone that afternoon and then arrived at the hotel, the clerk (manager's daughter) was very surley because we had a pet so she put us in one of 3 rooms with no outside window... nice view of the indoor pool. The indoor pool and Jacuzzi was really nice. The over-night clerk was extremely nice and helped me find a quiet spot to read while the wife slept.

We stayed at the Ambassador for a weekend and brought our elderly golden retriever with us. We found the accommodations to be comfortable and very convenient, our room being close to an exit so we could easily walk our dog outside. The room was clean and had the convenience of WiFi, something we can't seem to live without anymore. Next time we go to the Cape for a weekend, we will surely stay at the Ambassador, but we will bring our bathing suits, as that hot tub looked very inviting. The continental breakfast was also very good and proved to be more appealing than most continental breakfasts we had been offered in our past experiences.

Last minute accomodations due to funeral services in the area. A very pleasant accomodation. Clean, comfortable, nicely located, favorable rate, and cheerful service. A haven during a gathering storm.

We stayed at this hotel for two nights attending a wedding in the area and I happen to be pregnant, the beds were very uncomfortable (even for my non-pregnant husband). My ribs were killing me and my husband's arm would fall asleep if he laid on his side. The cost is outrageous, but not for the area. The place was clean and we could open the window to let fresh air in. You may want to request a room away from the entrance which happens to be the smoking area if that kind of thing bothers you and you want to have the window open. Breakfast was typical, but they use styrofoam and plastic everything (not earth friendly in the least) I'm pretty tolerant of coffee, but this was pretty bad, we found coffee elsewhere.
