I spent three days here and found my room shabby and old but extrememly clean. The stairs were a bit off level and the room next to me had those loud and easily excitable small dogs. The neighborhood is commercial on one side with random houses around. My view was of an old heavy equipment company's abandoned yard.The road was under heavy construction with more barrels than signs. I admit that as a single woman I did lock the door along with other safety measures.This certainly isnt the ritz carlton but for what I paid I was very happy. My room was spotless...not even a dust bunny hiding under the bed. Housekeeping was responsive and quick with requests. Otherwise the staff was friendly and helpful. There was even a group of crows outside each morning to greet me...this freaked out the front desk guy for some reason. I would stay again.

We stayed at the Days Inn Terre Haute while we were in Indianapolis for the Super Bowl. Our expectations were not high, given the hotels rating, and I exclude the fact that we had to stay in a smokers room (no non-smoking suites left). We didn't have much interaction with the hotel employees, so the rating for that was middle of the road. The pull-out couch in the suite was broke, thus couldn't be used, and although the hotel provided a cot, it seemed unsteady and sagged on one side. Beds were ok I guess. There was a large burn hole in the rug between the beds. The only thing the breakfast had going for it was that there was coffee. You could hear everything outside the room (including trucks, etc.) The walls were paper thin and we could hear everything that went on in the room next to us. I would NOT stay here again.

Got this room when there was a snow storm and my husband was passing through on the way to MI. The room was very drab and needed a good deep cleaning. He could not sleep because the bed and sheets smelled so dirty!!!! We have stayed at the Drury, Pear Tree, Spring Hill and Holiday Inn in Terre Haute and we will NEVER stay at this hotel again!!!!

Very accessible to restaurants and retail stores. also was right off the highway - very convienient. Lobby continental breakfast and coffee greatly appreciated.

I'll be brief with the problems: 1) I asked for a king bed and got two fulls; 2) the room was nonsmoking but I could smell that someone had smoked there; 3) the bed was TERRIBLY uncomfortable! 4) The breakfast was horrible--hard biscuits, cold gravy, no fruit. Yuck, and 5) the guy manning the desk the next morning was unfriendly and clearly could not be bothered with me. I won't be staying here again!

We have stayed in two other Days Inn and this is the best so far. Liked that you had hot breakfast room was clean.

The place needs a big time makeover. The steps to the 2nd floor are uneven and I personally think they are not safe. I was also under the impression that it was a hotel from the pictures on the internet but it is in fact a motel. I didn't eat the breakfast offered as I found it very unappealing.

Location excellent, Emenities very good.

Very nice for the price. Not any problems.

Staff are very helpful and friendly.

The desk clerk tried to sell me insurance, her side job. The steps going up to the second floor were old and creaky...scared my kids to use them. The bath tub was not clean. The worse part was when we went to bed at night, our feet were black from the carpet.

The hotel looked terrible. Their was garbage sitting outside of our room door when we arrived. The room smelled like it was soaked in bleach or chlorine. definately a disappointment for a days inn. :(

This place smelled horrible. Musty and moldy, paint can't cover this places age. If we had not already paid via hotels.com I would have never stayed. As we were checking in, others were asking for different rooms because of smell and or wet floors. The staff was nice enough, the owners...not so much.

My wife gave it a thumbs up- She said it was clean and comfortable. Price was good, not too expensive.

Hotel is physically run down with an odor of urine in the walkways. One of the less attractive parts of Terre Haute, and that's up against some pretty tough competition. If you don't have business or an event near here there is no reason to go.

My parents had a first floor room. Our room was on the second floor. The narrow passage was a little scary. No elevators. A little seedy. Awesome showers! Truly wonderful! Hope they fix up the rooms!

I stayed here because it was pet friendly. The room was dark and dingy. It also had a very weak looking chain on the door. There was an iron burn stain on the carpet and just not very nice. What really grossed me out was when I took a shower and found a wet and dirty towel hanging over the shower curtain. The service was ok but a bunch of kids hopped in the hot tub at 3 am and no employees stopped them from shouting for a half hour. The hot tub is next to the office so something should have been done. Overall, on the low end of a cheap motel and I am planning to stay somewhere that feels a little safer and nicer.

Room is dirty with old unclean carpet ok to stay just dumpy. At least there was a continental breakfast. Would not go back

We were in town for the Special Olympics and only stayed one night thank god, because the hotel was scary! My kids didnt even want to bathe in the bathrooms. VERY GETTO!!!!!!!!

We were just looking for a place to stay for the night. The room was clean but a little old-feeling. Beds were comfortable. Outdoor hottub was interesting. Right at the interstate so it was convenient for us. Not sure what there is to do in town. Decent place to stay at especially if you are just looking for a place to spend the night.

Made reservation for two rooms on ground floor due to medical needs. My print out stated such. When I got to the Days Inn I was told that there were no rooms left on the ground floor. I had to threaten to go to another motel to get just 1 room on the ground. Very disappointed in the service.

We had trouble regulating the heat and we had to open the door for a short while to cool the room down. The breakfast was good.

We wanted a no frils hotel just to spend the night but expected a cleaner room and environment. A little noise from the highway but not to bad. It is outdated and badly need a remodel.

Cold water for shower one day, hot ht e next. Room was facing street next to busy highway. Bathroom was not clean.

This is not a glamorous hotel by any means. A buddy and I stayed here overnight on our way across the country. For our sake and for the price, it was certainly acceptable.

The price was right. It was quiet. We had a good breakfast. If we go that way again we will stop in again.

Nice and clean enough for a one night on the road stay. Nothing special, but nothing terrible either. Exactly what we were looking for.

For what we were paying, we expected the standard, two-full bed room. We were pleasantly surprised to receive a two-room suite with a hide-a-bed couch, two TVs and two bathrooms. This sure helped out when traveling with two daughters.

You get what you pay for. In need of some maintenance. We were only there for a few hours so we were able to overlook that.

Your "run of the mill" drive-up-to-your-door place. We checked in at 2:30am so we don't have a full experience to review on. But it was comfortable enough and clean and quiet. I thought it was a bit over-priced for the type of room, but it was a holiday weekend and reserved kind of late

Location was great. Cleanliness of room could of definetly been better. One staff person was not that friendly. Others were very nice. Bathroom had a stale mold smell.

Good hotel for a nights stay for the price. I stayed with my family. I probably wouldn't stay here without my husband and I didn't let my teen age daughters walk around alone. A variety of guests coming and going.

i only stayed one night but it was worth the money and the trip to get this days inn was all i needed to feel a home while i was 1300 miles from home
