Sandwich Lodge & Resort - ساندويتش

I had planned a last minute girls' night out w/my daughter. An hour after checking in, I learned that my daughter was involved in a car accident on the way to meet me. I rushed into the office, explained, left the keys and headed to the hospital. The next day I called to ask if the hotel would be kind enough to offer us another night and they refused. I know it was not their fault, but it was 3pm and they could have rented the room to someone else. I think it's poor customer service considering the circumstance. Because of this, I won't recommend this hotel.

Room was newly renovated but not quite complete. Carpet had been recently installed and had a bit of an odor to it. Rate was good, service was good. Satisfied my need for an overnight stay.

Our "suite" overlooked the indoor pool and there were no windows that we could open to the outside. The chlorine smell was very strong and we had to keep the air conditioner on all the time to drown out the noise from the pool. We had to keep the curtains closed all the time because you could see across the pool directly into the rooms on the other side. The bedroom did not have an air conditioner and was very uncomfortable. We had a kitchen sink, fridge and micro but no coffee pot ????????????? There were no coffee or end tables in the living room and the lighting was terrible. We had the impression that this was a "resort", very close to the boardwalk and beach. In fact, it was an upgraded motel and we had to take the car to the beach. On a positive note, the room was very clean and the beds very comfortable. Won't be back.

It was a reasonable rate and good location. Friendly staff, too. Breakfast was a plus--simple but a variety of choices.

The hotel was adequate for a one night stay, however, I don't think I would recommend it for anymore than that.

I was pleased.. Suited my needs. Would stay again.

Nice place, convenient, close to everything. Heritage Museum is very close to it.

Hotel was kind of rundown and there was a very unpleasant odor in the hallways to rooms, the rooms were quit large with a small 19" tv place could use a little TLC and updates

got a headache from the mold

Although the people that worked there were very kind, my room was TERRIBLE. It smelled horrendous and didn't look like it had been updated since the 70's. The TV is old, the rug was grimy (I didn't take off my shoes), and there wasn't even a blow dryer in the bathroom. There was nowhere for me to hang my clothes. I would certainly not stay here again.

The hotel was nice, they are doing renovations so it will probably improve by summer.

This is a nice place, great location (3 minutes it the beach), and was really well priced compared to others in the neighborhood. It wasn't a fancy decor, but it was clean and comfy. I booked the king suite. It had an oil space heater for warmth (April visit), which seemed a bit strange, but it was actually really nice compared to the usual noisy in-room heaters. I'm sure they do most of their business in summer months and don't need heaters. AC was built in, in case you're wondering.

The pillows were too thin for me and the carpet in the room was old and worn out. Though, there were signs that they were renovating. Could be they hadn’t gotten to the room I was in. Both the day and night staff were very friendly.

We had an enormous room with kitchenette, and could have run an exercise class in the middle of the floor. The ceilings could have done with painting, and the decor was a bit bland, but it was a comfortable night. To our delight the Lodge shares a parking lot with a tavern, so we had a good evening without having to drive anywhere.

We had never stayed there before so we thought we'd give it a try!! We were pleasantly surprised with size of room and cleanliness. The front desk staff was very helpful. will surely go back. Enjoyed our stay!!

The staff is so accommodating and the Meeting Room is well stocked

Great location, old building but very clean and lots of activities . Fun time!

would look elsewhere next time

The room we had was very spacious and clean. Very convenient for us to visit relatives living two miles away.

I was suprised how nice it was and the prices were very good. I went to the Cape for a Wedding and other family members stayed there too and they were very pleased with everything, as well.

It was a good price and a great value. Not the Ritz, but just what we wanted. Impressive SD TV, but there was a nice fridge in the room and a microwave.

We stayed here before running a race in Falmouth. The service was fine. The room was clean. Our suite had windows to the pool area, and guests in the pool area were, unfortunately, loud till late at night. So we had trouble sleeping. The rate was fine but a bit high for the quality of the bed/sheets/towels.

I don't much care if a hotel is dated, and this one is. However, it was by far the cleanest hotels i have even been in, even cleaner than some 5 Star hotels where I've stayed. The rooms were HUGE!! the restaurant next door wonderful. The only thing that I can find fault with is that the indoor pool was so heavily chlorinated that we were unable to stay in for more than 15 minutes- and the pool was something my kids looked forward to the most. The continental breakfast was fine, too. friendly staff- I recommend this hotel and we will stay again!

So glad we picked Sandwich Lodge and Resort! We had a wedding in Bourn, MA. I still needed to buy a card and get my hair done. A huge shopping center was directly across the street so I was easily able to get my card, and a smaller shopping center was behind that and I was able to get my hair done, all within 1 mi from our hotel, not to mention all the great sites there were and restaurants within minutes. Will definately stay there again!

Hotel room was large but laid out poorly, with very plain decor, small TV. Looked somewhat like a prison or hospital room.

Would not stay again. I think there is one factory on Cape Cod and it seems to be right across the street. One electrical outlet and it was hidden behind the desk. Poor lighting. Shower curtain too close, could not shower without constant contact. No elevator. No wifi in the room.

Staff was always available and very helpful. We enjoyed our stay there. Right on Rt. 6-A with everything we might need close by.

The room we were given had a strong musty smell that stayed thru our stay of 2 nights. The decor was depressing...bathroom door didn't even shut properly. The pool and jacuzzi were terrific, but overall, I was not impressed with my stay...

Inn very well maintained and owners and staff very nice and helpful. Owners are hands on taking care of property and the delicious complimentary continental breakfast was very special. Rooms are clean and the BIGGEST I have ever seen. Location was convenient and easy to find. Stay was enjoyable.

A lovely clean hotel in a beautiful part of Cape Cod, close to beaches and Sandwich village. It was just the plumbing that let it down, as when other guests have a shower etc it sounds like they're in your room and the noise overwhelms the TV.

we were travelling with our elderly parents, who needed handicapped accessibility and the room they gave them delived on all counts. the room was large and easy to move about in, and the bathroom was perfect for them. The tub was large with a built in seat and lots of grab bars, and the toilet was a good height. hats off to the staff! the only knock on the room was that it was not easy to open a window and refresh the room, so it had a stale smell. other than that it made travelling with our folks very easy. This hotel was fine for an overnight stay, which fit our needs, but the wireless didn't work on anything but our laptop (no andriod or ipad access) and there wasn't much help from the staff when we mentioned it to them--they just shrugged their shoulders. The other problem was the walls were very thin. We heard someone sneeze and my husband thought it was me because it sounded like it was in the room. Otherwise the hotel was fine--it's a bit shabby but clean, and the kitchen facilities in the room (microwave, fridge, sink) were convenient. Continental breakfast was a joke--3 cereals and some packaged pastries and bagels.

I found the hotel to be very quaint and quiet. I didn't really have time to explore the area or enjoy the hotel amenities as I only spent one night there, but I'd definitely go back again.

The hotel is showing some age but well kept. The nearby restaurant was amazing.
