Was OK had a ordor to the hall way and the room Had to get a air freshener to mask the ordor

room seemed pretty clean although inside of toilet hadn't seen a toilet brush in a year...under rim all black...gross. also, outside of toilet not very clean. I always check bathrooms when I get to a hotel and if it's not clean, I question the rest of the room. So ran my hand along top of headboard...big ball of dust came off. But my biggest problem...an outside door that was supposed to be locked and only opened with your room key, was open...broken...latch plate just gone. I told the front desk about it twice and they did nothing about it. Bed was comfortable.

expensive..for one night, but we were staying overnight to be at a wedding..first room smelled terrible like old indian food curry and such..we told management and the changed it right away,second room smelled fine.

overall hotel was wonderful, bit of a musty smell in room side entrance door E not secure, easily opened with out pass key. Pool was great, service was fanatastic, Breakfast was good{ my wife wants that automated pancake maker} Overall very enjoyable

Hotel is well located, clean and offers basic necessities. Front desk staff very polite, efficient and considerate.

Location was greatbfor us. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Bathroom on the small side needs to be bigger room was very clean we would stay here again.

Room was clean and comfortable, bed was good and plenty of pillows. Bathroom small with sink outside in room. refrig in room. Breakfast was sufficient with hot waffle machine and cereal, and toast and hard boiled eggs. would defintely stay here again.

The photos of this place are very deceiving The pool area is cold, pool tiny and din't look very clean which may have been because it was not in great condition. There was mold around window in guest room, mold around floor in bathroom, tub/toilet area very tiny. A large person would have trouble turning around for sure. Guest service were friendly but wore just regular clothes, the girl on in the evening had tights and a tshirt on! Continental breakfast was sufficient but some fresh fruit may have been nice. Again the breakfast room was shabby and looked unclean.

A nice place to stay at reasonable rates with friendly staff and clean rooms. Daily room service and free breakfast. Centrally located to all the places we wanted to go. Stayed there before and will stay there again.

Rooms are comfortable but the lady at the reception was not very smiley and helpful. I waited at the desk to ask for swimming pool towels and the lady never showed up. I had to use my room towels. Continental breakfast is O.K. You can make your own waffles.

Short drive to water. Near outlets and Stonewall kitchens. Large room, very comfortable.

Hotel staff extremely friendly and helpful, close to beaches and shopping . Beds extremely comfortable and room was large but bathroom was a little on the small side, pool was midsize, granddaughter enjoyed it alot, breakfast had both hot and cold item. would definitely stay there again

Extremely happy with everything, except the size of the room the Free Continental Breakfast was in. The room is much too small for the amount of reservations, with only about 10-12 tables or so, and people had to wait for quite some time to be able to sit at a table. I have been to other Best Western's and each one had a much bigger room to accomodate the guests. Perhaps an adjoining room wall could be knocked out to make the room bigger.

Best Westen in York ME Our stay was good, but the carpet could of been cleaned there seemed to be an oder, maybe it was the AC. We would stay there again.

I am very surprised that Best Western allows this hotel to use their name. I have never stayed at a Best Western with this low quality. From the exterior, the hotel looks nice and tidy. Their ads sound nice -- complimentary breakfast, indoor pool. The front lobby is nice and welcoming. But when you enter the hallways of this place, you are immediately greeted with a terrible odor, most likely from the old, stained carpets. There were older wooden closet doors throughout the hallways. My husband opened one in curiousity. They were filled with rolls of even older smelly carpet -- disgusting. The musty/urine like odor greeted us upon entering our room as well. The room was two double beds which were okay but the sheets did not smell very fresh/clean. We pulled back all the covers and slept on top of the sheets only. Two fabric covered chairs in the room had stains on them (yuck!) and there were stains on the room carpet. There was free internet acces, which was a plus. The bathroom was the size of a very tiny linen closet. Sitting on the toilet, you were literally touching the wall beside you. A larger person would most definitely have issues with this bathroom. The tub/shower was older and moldy/scummy looking. Shower rod had small rust spots. There was black mold/dirt on the floor behind bathroom door. Husband and boys did go in the indoor pool. I refused. The water looked mirky. Older son found money (dime, nickel and penny) when he dove to the bottom of the pool. At that point, I insisted he get out of there as they obviously do not clean the pool very well. I walked around the pool area. The window had cobwebs, dead bugs and bug feces in the window well (yuck!). Pool deck chairs were worn and ready to fall apart. We were afraid to sit on them. Complimentary breakfast was okay but thankfully we didn't have to pay for it. Consisted of make your own waffles (but only one very slow waffle iron with large line up of people waiting to use), boiled eggs, apples, a couple

This was a average motel which was overpriced because of the in season rates, but cost less than any other motels we could find in the are.

It is just that the motel seems a bit older and less modern.The room was small,and clean,but the location seemed to be too rural.We wanted something closer to town,beach,for example. I would,however, recommend it for being located in a quiet place. Continental breakfast was good,and staff was friendly.

Your basic, unremarkable roadside motel: spartan, relatively clean, slightly threadbare. Don't expect thick towels or fancy soaps or plush carpets. Cramped bathroom. Typical breakfast buffet of cereal, grocery-store bagels, and DIY waffles. Small but clean indoor pool.

The hotel staff were amazing. They provided customer service on par with a much higher caliber hotel. Upon check in, they offered very detailed explanations of where to go and how to obtain breakfast, as well as tips to avoid traffic the next day. Upon check out, they made recommendations on beaches to visit based on our preferences and mapped out the easiest way to get there. The hotel and room, overall, were standard. Nothing fancy but fine for a quick stay. Breakfast was more than adequate with yummy waffles. The fridge in our room smelled a little funky but overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel for a vacation of less than a week.

We were at the Best Western York Inn for one night. The room was large and the beds comfortable. However, the sheets were very worn and there were oranges left in the mini frig - it wasn't cleaned out before we moved in. It was fine for an overnight stay but it needs some upgrades (bath tub needs to be replaced).

This hotel was very average. The lobby, room decor, etc. were average. The bathroom was badly in need of updating (tub needed refinishing, ceiling had water damage, etc.) The children loved the pool, even though it was a little cool. The hotel was very quiet and they had it to themselves. The breakfast was satisfactory (make yourself waffles, cold cereal, bagels, juice, etc.). Overall very economical, but also very average. If you are looking for something special, try somewhere else. If you are looking for economy with decent beds and breakfast it may be worth your while.

I brought my grandson to the Best Western York Inn for an overnight stay. The hotel was very clean and everything we expected. We enjoyed the small swimming pool and the continental breakfast was just enough. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Stayed at this hotel over the Labor Day weekend, and was pleasantly surprised with the quality. Room was huge (had selected a king-size bed at reservation, but didn't realize room was also king-sized!), with a big bathroom as well. Room was very clean, bed was very comfortable, and a short drive to the beach. I'd stay here again.

The room was a nice size, however, the toilet and tub looked as if it had not been cleaned in a month! I chose the hotel because of the continental breakfast, however, the it was horrible. There was only one hot item, and the res no fruit, yogurt, etc. Just cereal and muffins. Hardly a continental breakfast! Would not recommend.

This hotel is in a very convenient location on Route 1, just a few miles from the outlets of Kittery or the beaches of York. One drawback is that you can't really go anywhere without a car, and even though there are a few amenities (drugstore, grocery store, small restaurants) within walking distance, it's fairly dangerous to walk along or cross Route 1. It's also tricky making a left turn from the hotel onto Route 1 to go into York throughout the afternoon and early evening. The hotel itself is fairly standard, the room had plenty of space but a very small table/desk area. There are multiple entrances to the building so that you don't need to haul your bags in through the main entrance and down the long hall, although all the side entrances have steps, making it less handy for those with mobility issues and/or wheeled bags. The breakfast was great, including cereals, juices, coffee, fresh waffles (!), hard-boiled eggs, and toast. The breakfast room was small, but we were there in the middle of the week and it was never too crowded in the 8:30-9:30 time frame.

This hotel was very nice and clean. The Staff was very nice and welcoming. Our room was very roomy and very well kept. The only thing we noticed was the bathroom was a little small, had a hard time shutting the door cause it's so crampped. Other than that it was a great stay and we will be back. It is close to the beach and York's Animal Kingdom, Near by is also Stonewall Kitchen Outlet and some other stores. Thank-you so much.
