My stay was excellent. The staff was extremely professional. The rooms were very clean. I would recommend this hotel to others. You won"t be diappointed.

How come the second elevator is not working? I read this in previous comments that it was not working - and the one elevator is too slow!! Good location in getting to port for our cruise. Great breakfast.

This hotel was very nice! Close to airport in Fort Lauderdale.

The room was clean, the staff was very friendly and they have all the shuttles you need.

This hotel was great for us as we was looking for a room near Everglades Port. The price is cheap, the room is nice, have breakfast included..........great for transit hotel !!!!!

The property is very nice. The beds are exceptionally comfortable. Close to a number of places to eat and pick up odds and ends. I chose this hotel because I was flying in to Ft. Lauderdale and cruising out of the Miami Port. I had called ahead to confirm that I could get a shuttle to the Miami Port. I was able to, but the desk people at first were confused about my request. Then I discovered the shuttle did not run until after noon. I also had to use the same shuttle for my return because I didn't know who else to call, and It could not pick me up from Miami until 12:45. That was very inconvenient. I have had much more convenient shuttles from Ft. Lauderdale to Miami Port in the past. The hotel itself, however was very nice and I recommend it.

The stay was great and the german resturant down the street was suberb.

The hotel is clean and the personel are very accomodating. It is close to a few eateries and a strip mall. I would recommend the hotel to anyone.

Elevators are extremely slow. Very inconvenient.

Only one elevator works. Hotel is in a questionable neighborhood but luckily the police are around. The breakfast was good.

Enjoyed our brief stay close to the airport and the car return area. Spotless in all respects with a pool and exercise room to be enjoyed. Great spot.

Highly recommend the HI Express as a pre-cruise hotel. Comfortable beds and bedding and very, very clean. Friendly staff and all the amenities at bargain prices!

We chose this hotel because of its proximity to the airport. It was definately nice to get up in the morning and have such a quick ride to get to the airport. It was also very close to the ocean. It was a great opportunity to spend a little time at the beach on our last night of vacation. The rooms were nice and we got a good nights sleep. The only issues I had were that the elevator was soooo slow (seems like only one was in operation) and the pool looked very cloudy but not dirty.

The room was comfortable and clean. The pool was nice and clean. There was a shopping center across the street and was close to the airport. The only complaint I have is the elevators. There are 2 elevators, 1 was broken the whole time and the other one was super slow.

We arrived the night of July 15, 2011. We booked our hotel space through Hotels.com on-line. Specifically requesting 2 double beds, as we were I, my wife and our 13 year old son. When we arrived at 7:30 pm, we were given a room with a king bed. When I returned to address the issue, the night manager told me that specific bed arrangements were not guaranteed, only room class (whatever that means). After some discussion she gave a room with 2 beds. Next, the elevator. There are two elevators, but unfortunately only one was in operation, and it moved a very slow pace. We encountered long waits for the elevator to arrive, so that didn't help. Also that evening and the following, there were three high school baseball teams housed in the hotel. They commenced to play pranks, make noise and otherwise create quite a disturbance until 1:am. When we contacted the front desk to please notify the coaches or parties in charge, they were oblivious as to who was in charge of these fired up young-ones. We eventually managed to get a hold of one of the teams coaches, who passed the word to his team at 12:am, yet the other 2 coaches were nowhere to be found. The front desk essentially did nothing effectively to police their hotel in response to these incidents on either night. Needless to say the other guests were none too pleased either. Also I was under the impression from the web site that the hotel had a restaurant. IT DOES NOT. They have a shuttle which takes guests to a restaurant 5 minutes away from the hotel. Then the second day (Saturday) the maid neglected to fix up our room. So when we arrived Sat evening we had to ask the front desk to at least send up some towels. Regrettably I will not, nor in good conscious can recommend this hotel. As the night staff were non attentive to the guests needs and the other regrettable issues.

We stayed for one night after getting in late at the airport. Chose this resort due to the good reviews, airport shuttle and morning breakfast. The airport shuttle was nice but make sure you understand exactly the area where you're supposed to be standing to pick it up. The sign you are told to stand under is not much different than some of the other signs in the pickup area. We thought we were in the correct spot but saw the van they described drive by several times without stopping. After an hour and a couple calls to the hotel, we figured out where we were supposed to stand and everything was fine from there. One other note about the shuttle - it will pick you up from the airport whenever you call the hotel but it only leaves from the hotel to take you back to the airport once per hour - make sure you get the schedule at the front desk. The welcome bag at check in was nice with a granola bar and bottle of water/juice. Room was very clean, in good condition and the beds comfortable. We even had a mini refrigerator in our room. Liked the breakfast buffet with a few hot items (waffles, sausage, etc.) as well as fruit, cereal and yogurt. Overall, a great room with a few nice perks at a reasonable price.

The Hotel was very good, but the reservation was different: Reservation said: 1 King Bed, was a Queen Bed. Reservation said: Breakfast Buffet, was Continental Breakfast. We checked out early, but didn't get a refund. Thanks.

this hotel was very clean, the beds were very comfortable, I would stay here again, easy access to the highways, and to the port, and the airport.... Hotel staff are very polite and helpful.....

If your room isn't on the 5th floor, you may be okay. This is the slowest elevator ever and became an irritating factor in my stay. Also my key entry card kept losing my data so I had to go to the front desk twice to get into my room on the same day. For that reason I would not stay here again. The hotel staff is wonderful and the rooms nicely appointed. It's the little things that change everything.

We were extremely happy with the Holiday inn hotel in ft lauderdale our room was spaciuos clean and comfortable .we used the city transit and the bus service in front of our hotel was great everyone in the hotel was very helpful .our breakfast was great we had either cold or a hot breakfast .we will again use the holiday inn for further cruises or holidays thanks again

This was a great location, close to airport and cruiseport. There was plenty of shopping across the street from the hotel. A lot of fast food restaurants in the area. We went to the German restaurant on the corner and the food was great. I would definitely stay at this hotel again when I take my next cruise. The rooms were very comfortable and clean.

Could have had more restaurants - took free shuttle to KiKi's restaurant for delicious lunch. Strip mall across street has bar, small stores & groceries.

The hotel itself was very nice. Clean, well-maintained, and breakfast service was good. Close to both airport and cruise port, with shuttles both from the airport and to the cruise port. Only complaint is the hotel location -- not a nice part of town, and nowhere to eat nearby (besides fast food). Would not stay here again for that reason.

Came down day early to go go on Soltice cruise. Hotel was at great locaton from airport and cruise ship. Hotel was great. Accommodations were great. Front desk was not friendly but rest of staff including bus driver were friendly.

the hotl was just great. we loved it. it was really a nice room and a great hotel, clean, modern. the breakfast was a little stale by the time we got it but was a nice feature.

It was very confortable and so close to the airport, was all that we need it...

my stay was exceptionally good.

Easy access to the interstate, and I really appreciated that since I tend to get lost tring to find the hotel... The entire establishment was kept very clean. My pet peeve is the cleanliness of the bathroom, and this hotel did not disappoint me. King-size bed was comfortable. Pool side furniture was up-to-date. Complementary breakfast was good and filling. Omelet, sausage patties, muffins, bagels, toasts, yogurt, fruit juice, several kinds of cereal, etc. My husband didn't like the coffee so much, but he's very picky with his java. I thought it was just fine. Front desk clerk was efficient and courteous. We will use this hotel again, if we are in the area.
