فندق صغير ولطيف، كما أن موقعه مركزي تماما، فمحطة المترو تبعد عنه بمسافة دقيقة واحدة، وكان طاقم العمل يتسم بالود والتعاون.

عند وصولي إلى فندق "Gare Montparnasse" لم أجد صعوبة في الوصول إى الفندق، فهو على بعد 10 دقائق سيرا على الاقدام، كما كان الموظف بمكتب الإستقبال ودودا وكريما في المعلومات التي أعطاها لي عن كل ما يمكنني أن أجده في المنطقة المجاورة، كما أنه تحدث معي بالإنجليزية، وهو ما ساعدني أيضا، أما الغرفة فكانت صغيرة للغاية، ولكنها كانت كل ما أحتاج إليه- فقد مررت على مدينة باريس لأجد طريقي إلى مطار "CDG" لذا فالغرفة لم تكن فاخرة التصميم، وإنما كانت نظيفة ومريحة، وكانت وجبة الإفطار تستحق تكلفتها، حيث أنه لم يكن لدي الكثير من الوقت كي أذهب إلى معالم المدينة الداخلية، وفي الصباح قام المضيف بإعطائي معلومات قيمة حول كيفية الوصول إلى مطار " CDG" بواسطة المترو، والذي كان يوجد أمام الفندق مباشرة.

لقد كان شديد القرب من محطة المترو، كما كان طاقم العمل بمكتب الإستقبال يتسم بالتعاون، ولكن طاقم عمل تنظيف الغرف بالصباح كان مزعجا للغاية، علاوة على أن الغرف لم تكن كاتمة للصوت، إن هذا يعتمد تماما على نوعية النزلاء بالغرف، ولكن البعض كان مزعجا بالفعل، وقد تسبب ذلك في إيقاظي ليالٍ كثيرة.

Stayed 3 days with my mother. The hotel was literally right by the metro. The hotel was cute. The rooms were clean but they need to fix the wallpaper in the bathroom around the shower. Otherwise great price and staff was helpful. We would definitely stay there again.

My first time at this hotel.Comfortable and clean rooms . CAUTION: no air conditioning, so avoid summer. Less than one block from metro station. Neighborhood is full of shops, restaurants and bars, Great location for customers taking a train at Montparnasse Station, only 10 minute walk.

We were very pleased with our stay at le 55 Montparnasse Hôtel. The room was snug but the comfort level of the bed was above average compared to what we've experienced in other European hotels. And I'll take a comfortable bed over a spacious room! The hotel was right beside a wonderful bakery where we stopped to get pastries for breakfast on our way to our day's adventures and the proximity to the Pernety metro station was amazing. The staff was absolutely lovely, they were always smiling and friendly - they made the stay that much better and had excellent restaurant recommendations. Overall, a great stay.

A lovely hotel. Basic but modern and fresh. Room was clean, quiet and extremely comfortable. Staff were helpful when required. Located right next to a Metro station 10-15 mins from the centre. In the Montparnasse area which is nicer if you want to see some 'more authentic' Paris where more locals frequent the bars and restaurants than in the tourist trap of the centre. Breakfast was €10 Euro - hit and miss as section varied.

Travelled with family, 2 adults, 2 kids, 2 rooms. Right next door to Metro and nice boulangerie. Neighborhood nice for couples with nearby bistros and such, more locals than tourists. Rooms very small and difficult to move around in if you bring luggage. Rooms had no Air Conditioning (how did I miss this when booking?), but did have very large and loud fans in each room. Good overall experience though, once you get settled. Boulangerie great place to start the day before boarding the Metro. Front Desk staff very helpful regarding sightseeing, Metro, etcetera. Hotel and Rooms well maintained and clean.

We enjoyed our 4 night stay. It is a typical 3 star hotel, recently renovated. Room and bathroom are fully ok, but not luxurious (fully adequate for 3 stars). Service is friendly and adequate. The location is in Montparnasse, not very close to the central sights - but it is a 1 minute walk away from a metro station. Internet is free. The neighborhood is very nice - typical Parisian, but not touristy. Several nice restaurants are within 5 minute walk. The rooms are not airconditioned, which can be a problem in the summer, since the neighboring streets are narrow and all noises are very audible if windows are open.

About 20 minutes from Gare de Nord but value for the size and nature of hotel. Clean, and a minute from a Metro station. Head behind the hotel into the local district for better food and shops and breakfast. All in all we would stay again.

Great location for site seeing, restaurants, etc. Nice Staff. Very small rooms with no a/c. We lived out of our suitcases (no room to unpack). Was never able to get on wireless (they stated that their capabilities were "limited"). Probably a blessing in the long run (I was on vacation). Overall, the hotel was typical of what European establishments provide (i.e., similar to other locations around Europe where we have stayed).

Great hotel! The people were really nice and it was really close to the metro (2 min walk?). Close to a great selection of restaurants (try the creperie place nearby!) Hotel is extremely clean! Only complaints- room was really small (though understandable) and the maid kept disregarding our "do not disturb" sign. Kept knocking even though we didn't want any service. Otherwise, great place and would definitely stay again!

Room was a good size and clean. Bed was comfortable but hot because of mattress protector. Close to metro and main railway station. Overall a good experience.

The rooms are quite small and the lack of air conditioning was rather unpleasant. The electric fan provided with the room helped a bit, but was noisy. I also found the front desk personnel to be abrupt and not terribly friendly or helpful. Overall, I consider this a no frills hotel that is close to a Metro station, and upstairs from a nice bakery.

Clean hotel with very friendly service in bustling neighborhood. Was off the beaten path (which added to its charm), so a little out of the way from main Paris sights. However, Metro stop was 1/2 block away, so convenient nonetheless. Would agree with other posts to skip breakfast at hotel and try one of the several bakeries and brasseries within two blocks of hotel. Rooms were small (but typical for Europe) and bathroom was decent size. Although, our room could have used some newer bathroom fixtures.

Stayed for 3 nights in June. Great hotel, great staff and great location.

I planned a surprise long weekend away for my partner and I in Paris this June, choosing this hotel based on the Tripadvisor feedback and was not disappointed. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and the best complement all round I believe would stay there again in a heartbeat.

The rooms are small but clean and the bed is very comfortable. The location is convenient for it is just right next to a metro station with nice bakeries & eateries, although it might feel a bit uneasy at night. We're not too happy that the hotel published their rooms as soundproofed while in reality, we can hear everything that's been said next door. We booked our room for double occupancy but was only given a set of toiletries/towels. Despite feedback to the reception, the room cleaning lady never made an amendment to her error and we constantly have to ask for towel from reception. No outside food/drink is allowed in room even though the hotel has vending machine selling coffee/drinks in lobby. For the price, I'd say it's ok but I don't think we'll be going back again.

My wife and I found the le 55 Montparnasse Hotel to work very well for us. The closeness of the metro stop was very handy -- hardly more than 100 yards from the hotel. There are several restaurants in the neighborhood. We ate at four of them over our one week stay. There is a fresh fruit business across the street. The hotel website says that it offers laundry services, but that didn't seem to be the case for us. There is a dry cleaning business a few blocks away. They took care of my needs for a reasonable price. A nice grocery store is three blocks from the hotel. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. We did not utilize the hotel breakfast but instead, bought breakfast goodies at the grocery store. The price and location made this a good stay for us.

Stayed here for 5 nights with my wife & would definitely stay here again. We appeared to get something of a room upgrade (an additional bed) which meant we had more space than we'd anticipated - I'd heard the rooms in Paris were small. Hotel was basic enough, but well-maintained & friendly staff. Our room was clean & quiet (when the windows were closed - good soundproofing). Two huge benefits; 1. Right across the street from a Metro stop. 2. Nice active, but non-touristy neighborhood, with restaurants, shops, etc. This meant the locals were very friendly (though we were trying to speak French, might be more a problem in this neighborhood [vs a touristy one] if you don't).

Staff was very friendly and helpful! There are a ton of restaurants. My personal favorite being the bakeries!

Hotel room is expensive because it is far from most sights and the rooms are small. Overall it is clean and the bed and bedding good. Be prepared to do a lot of walking to transfer from the metro line that is nearby the hotel.

We enjoyed our stay. Location is very convenient -- right across the street from the Metro. Hotel was clean. Breakfast was a little pricey, but good. Yogurt, fruit, bread, coffee, juice. Little neighborhood was charming with great coffee place across the street. Definitely recommend.

My wife and I went to Paris to celebrate our anniversary, and found this hotel through a deal which made it very affordable for Paris. It was a great place to stay, literally across the street from the Pernety metro stop, and with a good number of bakeries/fruit stands/cafes on the streets surrounding it. We went in May, with an average temperature of ~65 degrees Fahrenheit outside, so the fact that the rooms don't have air conditioning wasn't an issue, and we were comfortable the whole time. The room was very clean on the inside, and fairly large for a European room (we were placed in one of the corner rooms, so that may have had something to do with it). We didn't try the breakfast or investigate any of the other amenities that the hotel offered, and we didn't really ask the concierge to do anything for us, so we can't speak to either of those things, but as far as a place to stay, the hotel was great.

Small but very nice room in perfect location. Highly recommended

The hotel is located just outside a metro stop, but unfortunately on an pretty uninteresting line. Of course the Paris metro is fantastic in it's service, so this is actually not a big deal. Walking to le Tour Montparnasse was not as easy as I was hoping - the area is big - and whilst very cosy and nice during daytime, at night the neighbourhood felt just a tad scary. The hotel was clean enough, but not more. The amenities were below average and the internet was slow. There was construction works going on so we didn't get to sleep in in the morning... The building is low and if you get a low-floor room there is not much light coming in through the window (covered by a Velcro attached lace and an extra curtain for making the room dark). The room smelled of perfume. Not bad perfume, but a bit too much for us. The bathtub was small. We did not try the breakfast - there are several really nice breakfast eateries (albeit a bit expensive) just outside the hotel.

Ok, so I'm from the UK - and therefore am used to smaller hotel rooms than perhaps some of the American reviewers on here, however, just to get this out of the way, these really are small rooms (my cupboard wouldn't open because of the bed!) However, having said that, it was small, but perfectly formed - very clean, comfortable, lots of hot water, lovely bed, and feather duvet, immaculate room and lovely staff. Would definitely recommend it to friends (but only it if booked for the discounted rates available online.) It's in a great bit of Paris, with some wonderful patisseries and charcuteries nearby, as well as the local market on the weekend and it's very easy to travel to and from - with the Pernety station almost across the road and Montparnasse Station etc very close. Absolutely brilliant for the (discounted) price I got it for. It would be a five, but if I'd paid the full rate, I would have been disappointed, compared to other places I have stayed in Paris.

Nice hotel in a fairly groovy neighborhood but further away from the main attractions of Paris (especially for a first-timer). We ate breakfast out and didn't eat any meals in the surrounding area either but all the basic services exist on the street. Great cheese, wine and other shops nearby and excellent bakery on the corner. What did annoy me was that they charged us a 4 euro city tax (1 euro per person per night) which is a small amount but was not mentioned anywhere.

le 55 Montparnasse Hôtel in Paris- just over the road from the underground, shops and bars close by. hotel lovely and the staff friendly. Paris is lovely and has plenty to see and do. however, outside the hotel we found the people to be rude, the food over priced and not very nice and service poor. I can honestly say that i will never return to Paris.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone who'd like to be close to the sites, travel connections and who is happy to be in the centre of things. The only downside is that the rooms are Noisy, not just for the fact that you are affected by the night life noise outside but also the snoring sounds from the next room and any activities in the corridor. So make sure you take some ear muffs or if you are a heavy sleeper, then there is nothing to stop you from considering this hotel as an excellent choice to stay. Staff are very friendly, breakfast (for an extra 10 Euro) is well worth it. Plentiful, varied, and delicious. I would highly recommend this hotel.

After a lot of searching we settled on this hotel as a result of the excellent reviews it had, and we weren't disappointed. This hotel had a lot more character than a chain 4 star hotel and the location was fantastic-right opposite the Pernety metro station, surrounded byatt small restaurants, cafes and patisseries, that were very reasonably priced. The room was modern, simple and elegant and exactly what we were looking for, at an exceptionally reasonable price. Am very glad we didn't go for the more expensive chain 4 star hotel and would return without hesitation!

I have booked a superior room which happened to be very small. hotel is very quiet and just minutes walk from central Montparnasse. nice place to stay.

located in a residential area, 50 meters from a metro station this is a very nice hotel; rooms are clean and decent size with all the amenities. Would recommend it with not much reserve

Recently spent a week in Paris staying at Le 55 Montparnasse. The biggest selling point is the location which is about 100 feet from the Pernety metro station. This was hugely convenient, we were able to get to most sites within 20 minutes using the superb metro system. Staff was very nice, English-speaking, and helpful with booking airport transport, etc. Rooms are quite small but standard for europe, very clean with a relatively large American-style bathroom. Flat screen tv with mainly french channels but three or four english channels (MSNBC, BBC, etc.). Free wifi included. There are also a number of good bakeries and restaurants in very close walking distance as well as a supermarket. If you're in the area, check out the local restaurant Les Frangines, a pretty affordable bistro with good food. The neighborhood felt safe and was lively during the day but quiet at night. Note that there is a 1 euro per person per day fee, some sort of european tax. Also breakfast at the hotel is 9 euro, but you can just walk ten feet down the block to the bakery instead.
