Very centrally locate and room was ok. Can not say anything about the breakfast as it did not begin until 8 AM, after I needed to be gone. Coffee was also not available. People visiting need to like cats and have no allergies to the same, I am not a cat person so this was a little bit of an issue for me, .

Very nice accomodations with a very reasonable rate! Breakfast was excellent. I would recommend it to anyone.

The place was very nice. My room had one large bed with two bunk beds in the main house. The room had its own bathroom and its own entry. Everything was very clean. Basically the house is converted into a bed and breakfast, similar to the house in the beginning of the movie "Forrest Gump". Everyone met in the dining room over breakfast. Very friendly tone.

The house has two cats!

We were given a warm welcome and room was clean and cozy. Staff was very friendly and Breakfast and coffee was ready on time. Location was very close to town. Don’t forget your Claritin if you have allergies they do have a house cat. It does not go into the sleeping rooms but roams the downstairs

In the Lake Placid area this B&B is a good deal at a reasonable cost. It is conveniently located and the room was clean. It was not as comfortable as other B&B's we have stayed at in the past but we just needed a place to sleep. We weren't looking to spend alot of time in our room. Breakfast was OK but nothing special and there wasn't enough room for all the guests to sit comfortably while eating.

The owner was very accomodating as we needed to check in early to get ready for a wedding. Room was large and the bed was ve Adirondaky.

The hotel evening manager Billy, along with the owner, Carol, were so very kind and welcoming to me. It is in a great location and I strongly suggest to go just down the street to a restaurant called "solids and liquids" - the food was off the hook!

We enjoyed our stay, the room we chose was small and cozy. The price terrific and the people were very friendly and helpful.

Wonderful hostess, reception and overall guests, great value, I guess the stars were in alignment for our stay.

this is a great place to stay just outside of downtown Lake placid, a 10 min walk or 2 min drive. Breakfast is set out in morning, very stress free. My room was excellent, had a bathroom within it. Nice stay, nice people, quiet B&B

The condos were very nice and worked out okay since their were 2 couples of us.

If all you need is a place to clean up and sleep, this place is ok. But do not be fooled by the charm of a B&B. At best, this is like visiting a relative that you are staying overnight with, in their very tiny guest bedroom. There was nothing charming or quaint about this B&B. Everything was old and probably was first decorated when the 1980 Olympics were there. Which oddly enough I remember because I graduated that year and was coming home for 30 yr HS reunion. Bed was lumpy and hard. It was a warm evening so we had to have the windows open- no AC. This place is right next to the road and we heard every vehicle- especially the trucks and motorcycles! We got in late- 11:30pm- and had to call the number to get someone to check us in. I had called a few days prior to let them know it would be late and was told "The guy will leave your key on the desk in a envelope." He didn't. But it was only a moment that we waited for assistance. We were just staying one night and were on way to another town. Prior to arriving here, we had decided that we wanted to be up and out no later than 8am. We awoke (for at least the 100th time) at 6:30am, dressed and hit the road and never looked back! Stay here only if you must!!

Very lovely home with old fashion charm, many homly touchs. Reasonable priced.

For those that like B&B I would recommend; for 'motel lovers' absolutely not!

I struggle a bit with this review because there are pluses and minues to this lodge, and my experience was influenced by some unusually hot weather during our stay in Lake Placid. On the positive side: This is an inexpensive place to stay, easy to find, with the character that generally comes with B&B-type lodging. The proprietor was very nice and helpful. The room was clean, and the front porch was a nice place to relax and enjoy a book and a cup of coffee. The breakfast was good. On the negative side: The room was cramped as was the stairway to access the room. There is no AC so if the weather is warm, the room can become uncomfortabe. My wife was disappointed in the fact that there were no glasses or plastic cups in the room and no ice bucket. There is no TV in the room--the only TV is in a common area downstairs--but perhaps that should be expected in a B&B. I would be willing to stay there again, but my wife probably would not.

Kitties make the place Home! Staff and other guests certainly add to that comfort.

No TV in room; no a/c, just a fan that was not correct operating first night: if light on, it worked, when light out (during night hours!!) did not work! However the lady was friendly en helpfull.

We came for the marathon. The hotel was on the marathon route, an annoyance for some, but for my family, they didn't have to go far to cheer me on. I missed the breakfast, but from what I heard, it was alright. Room was small but clean. Kids enjoyed the bunk beds. Hotel was fairly close to downtown. Wished there was a pool, but hey... we weren't really there to swim. Lake Placid was gorgeous. Enjoyed our time there. Would consider staying here again for the price.

This bed and breakfast was very quiet and clean. Not the kind of place to go if you want to hang out in you room as there is no TV or radio (free wireless internet though). Breakfast was simple but just like any continental breakfast at a hotel.

Sympa et pratique pour faire une étape sur la route entre Montréal et New York, sur une base de loisir en montagne très touristique où on est vraiment "en vacances avec les américains" Chambres et parties communes (salon, salle à manger, cuisine) petites mais propres et atmosphère cosy. Excellent petit déjeuner maison gratuit (bagels, gâteau) Personnel sympathique et serviable Présence de deux chats affectueux que l'on croise sans arrêt dans les parties communes...

excellent motel. Nous etions dans la partie centrale au charme un peu desuet mais avec un accueil de type familial que nous a&vons beaucoup apprécié.
