Atalaya Park Golf Hotel and Resort - إيستيبونا

Whilst this large resort has a somewhat faded glory to it (the gardens for example appear past their best) it is very comfortable and we received excellent service. During our stay there was a general strike in Spain which meant most of the hotel staff were not at work for one day. Given the size of the place and the vast number of guests this could have been a disaster, but the owners and their friends and family rallied brilliantly and as a result we experienced no inconvenience at all. The lounge and bar are really relaxing. The vast buffet at breakfast, lunch and dinner is somewhat daunting, but the food was very fresh and well cooked.

A large hotel nearer to San Pedro De Alcantara. It has two swimming pools, the large one was full of family with young kids so i recommend the smaller one for couples who wish to have some peace, at least they offer an option which other hotels dont have. The hotel is large with lots of facilities and services although it is a bit outdated. The buffet was good and they offer great entertainment especially for young kids. It is a family hotel basically and is ok for a short stay, as already mentioned in other guest reviews it needs renovating.

Like previous reviews have stated this hotel is dated. However it is very clean and represents very good value for money.

Stayed 2 nights in August 2011, we are a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children) we requested a non smoking room but got a smoking room which stunk of stale tobacco. Room was straight out of the 70's and hasn't been undated for decades, most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept on (i suspect it may have been a old plank of wood), room wasn't clean, floors were dirty and under the bed hadn't seen a vacume for years, broken glass (think from a beer bottle) on the balcony, luckily I spotted it before the kids went out there barefoot. Be prepared to play the towel game in the morning is you want a sun lounger (although at any given time in the day only 20% of the beds are actually being used)! The free WIFI was only availalable in reception or by the entertainment bar. Beach could be lovely and I didn't mind the peddles, as they are actually a natural product! but the cigarette butts, plastic cups and general rubbish made for a grotty beach. On a positive note the food was very good. Overall, a very tired, old, worn out hotel in deperate need of modernizing. I can not fathom how this can be a 4* hotel. The only plus point? - I only booked 2 nights, 2 weeks and I would have been distraught!

just back. enjoyed the hotel. we were a couple who joined up with a family for last four days of our holiday. our nieces had a ball and met many friends. pool and out door facilities were good and beach right beside you. hotel was a wee bit dated but was clean and food (buffet ) was good. you would need a car . would stay again. entertainment at night is for kids but is good crack.

We were 2 groups totalling 8 with 4 kids ranging from 3yrs to 14yrs old and the hotel was super for the kids. Lots of entertainment and activities for them and the facilities were great! Food was very nice as we had a reasonable choice = good value for money!

Everything service wise is great. The place is outdated and needs new beds. But said that great value for your money.

The hotels is very nice as is the staff but impossible to find. It's best to call ahead once you are on the road between Marbella and Algeciras. Otherwise you will spend a lot of time in a frustrating search. Didn't try the golf, but there were lots of golfers there so I assume the hotel will arrange teetimes for you.

Even though the hotel have quite a few years, it is very well maintained. The hotel is huge, very ample rooms and bathrooms, the common areas are very nice and with good decor. The service is awesome, they are always happy to help, no matter in which area (restaurant, reception, security). Even though we stayed in August, the busiest period, the pools are large enough to be comfortable. It has free parking just in the premises, which is very nice considering the lack of parking in the area overall. One think i really like is the fact that rooms have a door between separating the entrance to the sleeping area, so that if there are noisy people outside in the corridor, you dont hear them. I would recommend this hotel to everyone, specially to those with kids. There are activities all day long and good evening shows. By the way, the food is also very good although after 2 weeks there, there is a bit on unavoidable repetition.

This is a property that is at least 20 years past a needed renovation. Worse, it has the quirkiest set up for basic amenities that I have ever experienced, certainly dreamed up by some penny pinching accountant who doesn’t realize that losing a towel or two along the way is the price you pay for a comfortable and stress free holiday that people will want to come back to. Before I give you the details, I do want to comment that there are a lot of activities on property and the property itself is large. Even though all very dated, they do offer a lot to do especially for families with kids…if only it were updated and had ‘normal’ hotel practices. OK, here is how my arrival started and you will get the idea. Show up at front desk…check in, give credit card, and get my key Walk to room See that the safe doesn’t have a key Call front desk ‘You will have to come here to get a key’ Walk to front desk ‘You need to give us a 10Euro deposit’ ‘Please just put it on the room’ ‘We can’t, it has to be cash’ Walk back to room to get cash Walk back to front desk to get key Walk back to room with key Get ready to go to pool and walk to pool Grab open lounges (of which there are many) Look around for towels…not obvious Ask lifeguard ‘you have to get the towel from the towel girl at the indoor pool’ Walk to indoor pool See sign that says towels only available from 10-noon and 5-7pm. Fortunately it is 5:05pm (pity the poor fool who shows up at 12:05pm). Towel girl ‘we need a 10Euro deposit for each towel and you can only return them after three days’ ‘Of course, you need cash correct?’ ‘Si’ Walk back to room to get 30 Euro Walk back to indoor pool Pay my deposit and leave with three old looking towels all of different colors and shapes. Walk back to lounges Son says ‘Dad, lets play some ping pong’ Ask British couple playing next to open table where you get the paddles and balls. ‘At the front desk’. Walk to front desk ‘Yes we have paddles and balls but you need to give a 10Euro deposit

Trevligt hotell med en hel del "sportsliga" aktiviteter att välja på. Personalen föredömligt hjälpsam samt att de påvisar god service-anda. Låg beläggning vg antalet hotellgäster sannolikt pga att turist-säsongen ligger en bit framåt i tiden. Helnöjd med vistelsen. Golf-utbudet rikligt med många spännande banor att välja på.

condições exteriores do hotel excelentes, bem como localização. Hotel muito antigo a necssitar de algumas obras, principalmente nos quartos mas excelentes relações qualidade preço.

tiene muy buenas instalaciones, pero el hotel necesita un reforma, está muy anticuado, la comida es pesisma y en los bufet la bebida no va incluida, hay que pagarlo aparte

Hotellet bærer preg av å være noen år. Bra vedlikeholdt og svært hyggelig betjening. Maten; midt på treet. Bassengene: rene, men dusjene fungerte ikke. Tennisbanene: ganske så bra.

Helt greit for så lite penger.Alt for stort hotel for å slaper av ,mange gjester og mye kaos.Veldig god mat:) Hvorfor 4 stjerner?????.

Exzellenter IT-Service

La cena y el desayuno me parecio muy por debajo del nivel de un hotel de cuatro estrellas.

Vi var på hotellet i juli måned 2010 og kan klart anbefale det til andre. Specielt børnefamilier, men helt klart også til andre. Husk løbesko og træningstøj, da hotellet har alt indenfor idræt. Vi kommer helt klart tilbage til hotellet og kan klart anbefale det til alle andre. Vi havde en udlejningsbil fra malaga lufthavn til hotellet og benyttede os af b ilen hele ugen, da hotellet ligger lidt udenfor alle butikker osv., men på hotellet er der også alt indenfor butikker osv. Kort sagt behøver man ikke forlade hotellet overhovedet. Vi kan klart anbefale, at man kører 2-3 km mod Gibrieltar,hvor der på højre hånd ved en bilforhandler ligger et stort supermarked, hvor alt kan købes meget meget billigt, så kør her hen og køb vand og chips osv. og tag det med retur til hotellet, og put det i minibarern så er der billigt vand hele ugen. vh familien fra brøndby. Dette er vort hidtil bedste hotel og vi rejser en del og vil ikke betale for meget. Vi havde kun halvpension, så middagsmaden indtog vi ved poolen i snackbaren og det var perfekt, så nøjes med halvpension. Super hotel
