Steinhart Hotel and Apartments - سان فرانسيسكو

We picked this hotel and were a little bit unsure due to some bad comments - but: This hotel is exact what it is supposed to be - an apartment hotel. The hotel was built in 1910 and is fresh renovated. You can breathe the charm of a 100 year old hotel, just check the elevator. Rooms - Apartments - are big with much space and clean. Cleaning is once a week as described. We enjoyed our stay very much and can recommend this hotel. If you want a real hotel pick something else, all others just check this and enjoy.

First impressions of SF after driving from the airport through the Tenderloin area were not good! however on arriving at the Steinhart things started to look up. Met by a friendly and helpful young man (Daniel) on reception,who genuinley wanted to do all he could to ensure our stay was pleasant. He highlighted on a map which areas should be avoided(and I would strongly recommend you DO avoid Tenderloin) The apartment block had a curious odour all through the communal areas but not noticable in the apartment itself. The apartment was ideal for us, no restrictions, you are free to come and go as you please. There is a maid service on a Friday which again was good as you really felt it was a comfortable home from home with no persistant maid service intrusions. Standard of apartment was good, furniture quite eclectic mix but good quality and clean. Location is good for most things but take good walking footwear as wherever you want to go you wil be met by some very steep streets.

When booking my hotel, I was under the impression that it was in Union Square. Unfortunately, the hotel is located in an area known by locals as the Tender Knob - roughly 2 blocks from the Tenderloin. While not a horrible neighborhood, it's not great either. Luckily, the hotel has security code access (2 doors), which seemed to keep the undesirables out. Besides location, the hotel is not staffed 24 hours a day. When I needed to check out for my flight, there was no one at the front desk. I just left my key sitting on the front desk with a note and left. I'm assuming this was okay, but it seemed a bit odd. The decor is meant to be historic. There are some nice features -- beautiful woodwork in the lobby and in the rooms. However, it looks like the hotel cut corners on the upgrades. The bathroom counter is cheap as is the kitchen counter/cabinets. However, I did appreciate having a kitchen to prepare meals when I didn't want to eat out. Also, the hotel seemed to be very clean. Despite some nice features, the cheap upgrades and bad location keep me from recommending this hotel to others. I would encourage persons looking for a hotel in San Fran to look elsewhere.

This wonderful boutique apartment more than met our expectations! We were amazed at the beautiful features of this 100 year old building. The deluxe studio apartment that we rented provided us with plenty of space, a well equipped kitchen, bathroom with a tub and shower and plenty of closet space. It became our home away from home. We were sad to leave as we were treated so well. The location was a short walk from Union Square, the cable car and lots of shops. We felt safe coming and gong at all times. The staff at the front desk were so firendly and helpful! We will definitely recommend this apartment/hotel to all our friends and family. I would certainly consider renting longer term if I found myself in this city at a future date. Barbara

We had a great 10-day stay at the Steinhart. It was close to transport and shopping, with plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby that made our stay in San Francisco comfortable and easy. My only complaint with the hotel is that they don't provide any extra soap or toilet paper, so if you're staying a while you need to buy your own. I thought that was a bit stingy.

元日の到着時フロントが不在で、系列のホテルに行きウエルカムキットを受領しようとしたが、受領できず再度シュタインハートホテルに戻った。 到着時にマネージャーがたまたまフロントを不在にしていたとのことで、迷惑をかけたことをお詫びいただき、スタンダード１ベットルームからスイートにグレードアップしていただいた。 到着時は大変な思いをしたが、アップグレードしていただき、快適な滞在ができたとともに、ホテルのフロントの方にいろいろサポートしていただき、とても感謝して帰国した。

Ao chegarmos no hotel a atendente foi muito gentil e prestativa, conseguindo um quarto mesmo antes do horário do check-in, mas o restante do staff não demonstrou tanta simpatia. O hotel realmente conserva um estilo antigo e suas dependências comuns tem cheiro estranho. O quarto é escuro e não possui móveis com gavetas para guardar as roupas, somente a arara, onde, é claro, não coube tudo. A cozinha, sim, possui armários de sobra, quase guardei minha roupa neles, e é muito bem equipada. A localização é boa pra quem quer ficar próximo ao centro, mas de uma proxima vez, vou preferir ficar na região próxima ao Fisherman's Wharf, que parece ser bem mais segura.

nach langem Suchen im Internet gefunden. Buchung erst ab 7 Nächten möglich (Apt.-Hotel), soll demnächst auch ab 4Nächte möglich sein. Für SFO ein Hotel mit grossen Zimmern, selbst das kleine Studio mit Schrankbett(bequem) bietet genügend Platz,das grosse Apt.: "riesig", deshalb nicht so gemütlich! Zimmer hinten total ruhig,Lage ziemlich zentral, wir waren sehr zufrieden. Personal ganz freundlich,- Apt.-Hotel: empfehlenswert!!!

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour au Steinhart. L'appartement (studio deluxe) était spacieux et propre malgré un mobilier un tout petit peu vieillissant (mais très sincèrement cela n'a pas entachée notre séjour). Beau bâtiment - membres des Historic Hotels of America - bien sécurisé (1 digicode en journée, 2 la nuit). Réceptionniste très sympathique. Très bonne localisation, très centrale. China Town, Japan Town, Union Square, magasins de Powell&Market st. à portée de pieds. Bon quartier. Supermarché 7/24 à quelques minutes à pieds. Je recommanderais sans hésiter cet établissement!
