the hotel was an ideal location for a holiday. the lack of customers made it difficult to enjoy the restaurants which were nearly empty. would recommend it to anybody as a base to enjoy the whole area.

the hotel itself is excellent. clean, nice, well maintained. if you want liberty, then you need a car or a scooter to move from the hotel to the beaches and the city

Enjoyed our stay here... the superior apartment was lovely, spacious, and had all that we needed. Because the kids had gone back to school the pool area (there are more than one) near to our apartment was empty, and most days it was like having our own private pool. Only downside was we arranged their pick up service from the airport, didn't arrive til late, and then had to wait while he picked up others from a later flight, so we ended up hanging around for an extra 45 mins at Faro. Must say though we used their service going back to airport and it was great.. and they let us stay in our apartment for an extra couple of hours after check out..so that we could be picked up at the door by the mini bus... all in all would recommend the balaia, great place for a "chill out".

Because there were so many options in choosing hotels,It was so hard to choose one.But we did wright choice, as staying at Balia Golf vilage resot - all what you family can dream about. Apartments with full equipments,were in very lovely quiet location,with palm trees and nice, big and clean around pools.You can take taxi for good price to Albufaira shoping centre Continente, whic has huge asortiment of food with great prices.Guarded Beach just 5min to walk.Would recommend with no thinking for families with children.Not sure about young couples, unless you prefer quiet.Few great restaurants at resort and 1mile walk away.

On our arrival at Balaia we went quickly thru check in which at 9:00 in the evening you just want to get to your apartment and relax. We were driving in a golf car with baggage to our apartment so no walking - Great. The apartment was a 2 bed with a double bunk positioned in an alcove in the passage. The bath room big but dated and a couple of tiles were broken. Large with TV AND CABLE. Perfect for us on the ground floor to inside/outside living - close to the swimming pool. We hired a car - at Balaia and rates were spot on on extra charges as I checked pricing -and there is ample parking right outside the apartment door great when carrying beach towels shopping etc. We played golf on the 9 hole golf course as well as Balaia booking 4 other courses for us at discounted rates. Must say for us this was a great benefit as we didn't need to hassle by booking different courses, - Remember you need to take golf shoes (cannot play in runners) but you can hire them at €20.. Must say we did book the restaurant for their special - Chicken Perri Perri which didn't come up to scratch. We booked another evening for the buffet and again we would have been better off going into town. They will need to look at their menus - serving fresh food and salads - not just different pasta dishes - camp food really. Really enjoyed the self-catering apartment holiday with golf and will look at going again. PS Big thanks for the ladies at the PRO shop who were great. Downside - well we where staying in a apartment block - but the noise level of people walking on the floor above us was very loud which woke us at most nights.....

The concierge service was very good. Asked about directions and sites to see, they were very helpful. Spent some time in the lobby getting on the Internet (not so easy) and all the people that came by got good attention (for example, finding a bridge club for a rather unappreciative English couple). Stayed in Feb 2010 this is definitely off-season so that has to be kept in mind. Very quiet. The club house was open and good to go to for a meal but the on-site restaurant was closed. The pools were open but too chilly to be used. The indoor pool area was heated. The hot tub water wasn’t. They have a strange ‘bathing cap’ policy for everyone in the indoor pool and hot tub. 2 Euros to buy and very uncomfortable – one size does not fit all. Never had that anywhere else and seems like a petty scam. Might be OK to stay here without a car during the busy season but it is pretty isolated. Best to have a car. But if you want to go out and avoid driving, your options are limited to a long walk or the club house. The apartments are well equipped. All sofa or twin beds though. Not so comfortable but clean.

On arrival we were greeted and checked in in a very courteous and efficient manner, when we arrived at our accomodation we were absolutely overjoyed to see that it had actually matched all previous information we had read. The cleanliness, comfort and hygeine is fantastic, the fact that we had all of the facilities (mod Cons)of a home ensured we could relax. The restaurant food is very good quality with an excellent variety and the waiter service is 5 *. We palyed Golf on two days on the Par 3 course which is great and there is no pressure on anyone here, we also used the Driving Range to practice. The Pool areas are really clean and each pool has an attendant contiuously ensuring all guests are happy. We used the BBQ on a couple of evenings which was great. The Maid service is daily and again is faultless. There is also an internet cafe in reception or if you bring your own laptop, there is WIFI access in reception area. There is also a Gymn and Health centre which we didn,t use but is a great facility (caps are need for indoor pool). I would recomend renting a car, while everything is within walking distance it is great to have the convenience and your independence. There are a number of Golden Beaches within 5-10 minutes walking , I would really recomend this place for Families

I stayed for 9 nights in June with my wife and 13-year-old son . Our Apartment was magnificent with all the mod cons you could want including satelite TV . Cleaning staff were excellent and the Hotel facilities in general were very well maintained . My only criticism was the cost for green fees at the golf course :- this is just a short par-3 9-hole course , yet the green fees were 35 euro and 25 euro extra to hire a half-set of clubs .

Het hotel/appartementencomplex ligt op een golfbaan waarbij ook andere sporten(tennis,fitness,binnen -en buitenzwembaden) bezocht kunnen worden. Ook het restaurant heeft een goede kwaliteit en is zeker een aanrader voor een lunch of diner. Alles is perfect onderhouden in een mooie omgeving nabij één van de mooiste stranden.Het Falesia strand ligt op 300 m. afstand te bereiken via een hellende weg met een goed restaurant erbij. Het bewaakte strand wordt gerund door zeer vriendelijke mensen die elke dag het strand perfect schoonhouden. Ook het restaurant wordt bediend door mensen die zeer bereidwillig zijn en altijd hulpvaardig wanneer het om informatie gaat. Albufera ligt op 10 min. afstand met de auto. Het zeer beroemde piri piri restaurant Theodosis, ligt in Guia, 15 min. rijden, waar Portugezen uit de wijde omgeving chicken piri piri komen eten. Een belevenis om een keer mee te maken. Al met al een heerlijke accomodatie die veel te bieden heeft voor een onbezorgde vakantie.

très bon et beau séjour dans ce magnifique hotel, le personne est serviable, le club de golfeur est acceuillant, rien à dire que séjour réussit

o hotel é muito smpático e ficámos num apartamento extremamente bem situado junto a uma das piscinas, o que tornou a estadia muito agradável. O que menos nos agradou foi a distância para a praia; a praia Maria Luísa fica longe para ir a pé com crianças e na praia de Santa Eulalia, pior que estacionar o carro, é arranjar espaço para estender a toalha. Pelo menos em Agosto...

We had a great stay at Balaia. We had a new, nice and big appartment with a big lovely terrace and nice abd quiet surroundings. This is a golf village and the appartments are spread on a large area. Our appartment was located pretty far from the hotel reception with a 10-15 min. walk. Although also walking distance to a nice beach this took 20-25 min. from our appartment. At least you get some exercise :) You need transportation if you want to go to restaurants outside the village. We had a car for most of our stay, and with this location this is highly recommmended.

veldig fint for barnefamilier. vi bodde i en villa med 2 soverom og 2 bad og en liten terrasse rett i nærheten av pool anlegget - glimrende. Reisetid var de siste 2 uker i juni før høysesong - behagelig temperatur og ikke for mye folk.

Nice apartments, with lots of pools. Great area if you are travelling with kids. Not so great restaurants, but we found a really nice, cosy restaurant at the beach that we really can recommend. -bar da julia restaurante. You can order all kinds of food, from burgers to seafood like lobster and various kinds of fish. Really good food and the service is impeccable. To rent a car is a wise election...

Es una pena, dentro de un complejo tan espectacular, la limpieza y cuido de las habitaciones sea tan deficiente. Cocinas sucias y envejecidas, cortinas, colchas y demás enseres muy manchados, paredes sucias, olor a humedad... ningún síntoma que nos haga adivinar que estamos en un hotel de 4 estrellas, más bien, en un viejo motel de carretera. Cuidado escrupulosos. Experiencia no recomendable, lo siento

Vi hade 2 tonåringar (barnbarn) med oss de gillade också alla polerna. Personalen var mycket tillmötesgående. Rent och snyggt i lägenheten, nackdelen var att det inte fanns någon sol som kom in på våra altaner och sitta och dricka sitt kaffe. Det var mycket växtlighet runt området. Hotellet servade med transport kl 10 varje dg (om man önskade) till Albufeira ca 6 km därifrån. Hämtades kl 18, också av hotellet. Annars fanns det gott om taxi

Utrolig hjelpsomt og vennlig personale. Store fine leiligheter. Mange bassenger å velge mellom, pene omgivelser. Det negative er avstander og komforten i leilighetene. Dette er et golfhotell med 9-hulls bane. vi fikk rom ved drivingrangen, detr betød hele 850 meter gange for å komme til resepsjonsområdet med bassengene barna ville være ved. Det er for langt når man ikke har barnevogn, og skal ha med seg badesaker, håndklær og annet. Langt å gå for korte ben, Videre var det enda 800 meter til stranda som er fin for barn. God plass der og greit å få plass ved bassengene. Mange basseng å velge mellom, hele 6 stk. Ellers var beliggenheten vel drøy til ting man vil oppleve. Du kan ikke gå til Oura og i hvert fall ikke til Albufeira. Det er 8-10 euro med taxi til albufeira, men vi valgte leiebil siden avstandene generelt var for store. Leiligheten var stor og romslig med to bad og to soverom. Det er ekstremt lytt i dem, og har du naboer boende over hører du alt. I tillegg var det det mangelfullt utrustet med kjøkkentøy, og resepsjonen ville ikke hjelpe med det. Sengene er steinharde, som å ligge på et gulv. Heller ikke her var det noen hjelp å få. Ryggen var knekt etter 2 uker i den senga. Sofaen er også hard. Området rundt hotellet er dødt, man må bevege seg med bil for å komme dit det er noe å gjøre.

Velholdt område.

It was a very nice stay. Nice and clean park. Lovely with kids. Go and have dinner at restaurant Pescador at the beach. Nice fresh seefood added with nice views over the ocean.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour au sein de cet hôtel. L'appartement était propre à notre arrivée. Le ménage est fait tous les jours. Les piscines sont au top, la plage pas trop loin et le restaurant sur place est un vrai régal. J'ai eu l'occasion de tester le gymnase, là aussi rien à redire. Bref un formidable séjour. Le cadre est superbe, verdure est calme sont au rendez vous.

Bra med tennisbanor o närhet till golfbana. Ej så prisvärt att äta ute lr köpa mat i butik. Få restaurangen nära hotellet. Fri buss till Albufeira Stad bara fasta tider, kl 10 och kl 18.
