The place is close to the beach. The room is pretty nice. The house is divided into two parts. We were upstairs and the people downstairs made quite a lot of noise, especially opening and closing the door. The swimming pool was small and in a shady location. The $100 cleaning fee is absurd in my opinion, but it seems to be somewhat standard in the area now. It is very close to the beach as well as everything else you want to do in Destin.

Had a great time and it was a great deal! Resort Quest is a great management company and I was pleased with their service. We will be back!

I had a great time there my wife and I were newlyweds enjoyed our stay the housekeeping could have been a little better and I was shocked that they charge $99 for cleaning fee and never seen a cleaning lady

The ac unit was very loud, there were holes in the couch. Small but 1 block from public beach access.

Questions about the cleanliness of the dishes? no dishwasher and no dishpan or drainer. The hidebed was extremely uncomfortable. The mattress thin and resting on metal frame. No I would not stay there again.

Excellent! Didn't want to leave.it was quiet and very relaxing which is what I came for.the beaches were very nice and clean.would recommend to anyone

This was a great holiday getaway. 10B was charming and suited my needs very well. I definitely will return as often as I can since I am only 2 hours away.

To began with I was told it was on the beach... Not... It was across the street not even ocean view except one bed room. My knee is bad and we were upstairs. It was supposed to be upstairs downstairs in same unit so I could stay downstairs. When we told the desk what had happened they told us they would move us the next day to a all downstairs unit still no oceanview or not on beach. But this would help my knee. We were told to call them the next morning and they would move us. We called and were told they rented the downstairs unit the night before. So we had to stay in the upstairs unit.. I guess the worst thing was being told it was on the beach. I made it thru the stairs episode even though it hurt... NOT HAPPYTE

very nice room-just the right size for a family of 4. across the street from the beach, but close to the pool. Front desk help was excellent and enjoyed the 2 free dvd's per night. no dishwasher. would stay here again. great price also!

Check In is not on property. The Resort Quest office is only about 4 blocks up the street, but that would have been nice to know prior to arrival. They also fail to mention the cleaning fee (approximately equal to one nights stay) due at check in. Other than that the location is great and they are a perfect size for a small family.

My overall stay at this location was good. My girlfriends and I spent the weekend in 12b. I think the owner should invest in updating the kitchen set, the living room furniture, bedding on the bunkbeds, and a matching set for the bedroom. The overall cleanliness was okay. We saw one unwelcomed guest while we were there. I would stay at this location again,but maybe in another cottage.

The condo was amazing for a great get away week! Plenty of towels, sheets, etc. All the amentities listed on the site were accurate. I would absolutely stay again! Great location...2 minutes walking to the beach...across from lots of shopping!!

This particular unit needed the microwave shelving fixed, and somewhere to hang wet beach attire and towels. The main bed was HORRIBLE, but considering there were bunkbeds, my boyfriend and I slept on that. Check in process was very inconsiderate. We arrived at 3:30, but was not given our access code to the room until 4:45. Other than those issues, we had a fantastic time.

It slept up to six. I wish i would have brought more people.

I really loved the place. Easy to find, close to everything.

i loved my stay at the GRAND CARRIBEAN WEST but, i am still not sure that is what i had reserved. It was really confusing to notice the RAINBOW NANTUCKET COTTAGES a couple of blocks away. That is what i had reserved. I never got a good explanation of why and how i ended up at the GRAND CARRIBEAN WEST. I really loved the stay and will look to stay in the same place in the future.

We had a upgrade from the cottages and we stayed at crystal sands and it was awesome! The only complaint is we reported the faulcet was broke and they never came and repaired it but it wasn't a major thing the beds were comfortable and the access to the ocean was great! Had a wonderful time.

I give this hotel kudos for location. Its a quick and easy 2-3 minute walk to the beach. However, other than location I was not too pleased. The condo was tackily decorated and had water bugs. We saw 3 while we were there and they were HUGE. Also, there was sand in the bed and on the floors when we checked in. They do let you rent 2 dvds at the office however the unit we stayed in only had 1 DVD player. It had a VCR in the master room. I cant wait to go back to Destin but I will be finding somewhere else to stay next go round!

The location was excellent. Beach side room in Crystal Villas, convenient to all the attractions of Destin. The room was comfortable and perfect for our needs. My only complaints were the rudeness of the ResortQuest staff and the cleanliness of the room. The overall cleanliness wasn't too bad. The kitchen looked great however the bathroom could have been a lot cleaner. Overall our stay was pleasant and comfortable.

The accommodations were very nice and homey.

Our stay was very comfortable, extremely centrally-located, very well stocked and designed. Check-in was a breeze, and so was check-out. Would definitely stay here again and again...Thank you!

The pictures on the website does not due the cottage that we stayed in justice. The cottage is decorated with nice decor and the comforts that make you feel at home. The site of the beach across the street from us was just great for us. I don't want to stay any place else when we go back in October. The cottage was all that and more. We were late checking in that Sunday but, we still received great service from the staff when we got there.

We just spent 3 nights in unit 1A and it was perfect! It was nicely decorated and spotlessly clean. It was very comfortable & had a large flat-screen television in the living area, and another in the bedroom. The kitchen had modern appliances and plenty of pots, pans, dishes for the light cooking we did. There was no dishwasher, but we didn't even miss it. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony in the mornings & evenings to people-watch. The location was great - just a short, easy walk across the street to the beach, and right down the road from Bass Pro & the Destin Commons outdoor mall. Only complaint (very minor) that we had with the unit was the bed was loud every time you moved, rolled over, etc... it didn't bother me much, but my husband is a light sleeper & he ended up moving to the couch our last night. Despite that, he and I would definitely return and would definitely recommend Nantucket Rainbow Cottages to our friends.

located to the Beach...only a walk away. The cottage was comfortable and adequate enough for 3 teanagers and two adults. We had lots of fun and the cottage was ready upon arrival. Whenever we return we will request Unit 10A. It was well nicely furnished and I loved the bright sun shining in the unit in the mornings. The boys loved the area and thanks to the registration staff for the prompt assistance at check in. We had some very nice neighbors below that were very friendly and bonded well with the us and our teenage boys. Our stay was wonderful!!

We stayed in unit 10A at the Resort Quest Nantucket Rainbow Cottages. Although not a fancy place, it was clean, well kept, and updated. The location was perfect! Close 2 min walk to beach and a few restaurants. The Commons outdoor mall was super close as well. Every morning I loved walking either the beach or on the wide walking paths beside the small road that runs along the beach. I would love to bring my whole family back to Destin and stay here again!

I really agonized over the lodging for this trip. There are so many options in the Ft. Walton/Destin area that I was torn between hotel, condo, beach-front, non-beachfront. In the end, condo (a little more room) and non-beachfront (a little less expensive) won out. And we were thrilled with our experience. As noted, we had to check in at a separate office, but as it was only two blocks away, this was not a problem (especially since they also had free DVD rentals). We were assigned to unit 16A, an upper-floor unit overlooking the pool area. The living room/kitchen area were just what we wanted, comfortable and with all the basics (fridge, 4-burner stove, oven, microwave, HD television w/cable). The bedroom was sufficiently roomy, and had a ceiling fan that I'm sure would come in handy during warmer months. The queen bed was comfortable, though the bed-spread/comforter was too heavy for us, so we swapped it out with a blanket from the closet. The weather was a bit cool at the start of our trip, and luckily the heating controls were easy to work. The bathroom didn't have much counter space, and the corner shower wasn't what you'd call roomy, but everything was perfectly sufficient, and there was plenty of hot water. The pool area was great for relaxing, reading, and sunning, though we were there just before the influx of spring-breakers, so we didn't have to deal with heavy crowds or noise. The group of retirees that were there every morning, snow-birds coming to the end of their winter stays, were very friendly (and may have persuaded us to come for an entire month, next time). To get to the beach, we had to walk across the street and down a block to the public access, but this was not a problem for us. You might not like it if you have several small children in tow. The beach itself lived up to every photo and marketing claim we'd seen leading up to the trip: powdery white sand, blue/emerald water, fantastic sunsets. Great Location and Great Room.

We loved these cottages.. so close to the beach just a walk across the road.. everything was nice and clean and neighbors were great :)

We enjoyed our stay in the Nantucket Rainbow Cottages, beautiful location. We stayed in Unit 16A which is showing signs of use and can use updating. The ceiling fan in the bedroom has loose blades and was unusable. We would love to stay with you again, next time we will request a first floor unit.

Was a very wonderfull stay. Enjoyed all the sites around the area. Close to the a pool, beach, places to eat, and shopping. Also very private, espicially an upstairs unit. Would recomend to anyone.

We had a wonderful week in Destin. The first night was terrible due to our upstairs neighbors having too much fun in the wee hours of the night. They left the next day, and our new neighbors for the rest of the week were nice and quiet. The beach is within walking distance with it's white sand and beautiful emerald gulf water. The cottages are close to Destin Commons shopping area and are about six miles from a large outlet mall. We took our bikes. There is a bike/walking trail in front of the cottages. We rode our bikes nine miles each day on the scenic trail. The condo was furnished with everything we needed. The bed was not great, but we slept good. The tv was pitiful (small), and the dvd player did not work well. Other than that, we were completely satisfied.

Location was great and we enjoyed our stay @ this property. The unit slept 5 so was more than adequate for the 2 of us. It was a nice convenience to have the refrigerator & microwave. It would have been nice to have instructions about the offsite check in. We had to ask another guest where the office was. If we didn't have a car it would have been inconvenient.

Absolutely beautiful and quiet

Check in personnel very friendly and provided needed info. The cottage was above expectations and had everything. Location was perfect for our tastes and the grounds were immaculate. The only complaint being on the ground floor the upstairs neighbors were pretty noisy. They had young teens. The on site laundry facilities were a plus and the parking was convenient. It was within walking distance to beach. Some beach rules prior to going to the.beach could have helped.
