Hotel Le St. James - مونتريال

Beautiful hotel, exceptional, warm and helpful staff! The room was very clean, and beautifully furnished. Wonderful breakfast in lovely old world setting.Just a short walk to Old Montreal...highly recommend!

I recently enjoyed an overnight stay at the Hotel St. James, including a visit to the spa. Everything was wonderful. The staff were so attentive, professional and friendly. The hotel is well appointed, convenient to the Old City and the service was excellent. I would stay here again on my next visit to Montreal. Thank you to all the staff for making my weekend so enjoyable and tranquil :)

Ended up staying overnight en route to Mont Tremblant but had it not been for the lure of the slopes, we would never have left! Probably the best hotel we have stayed in; better then the 4 seasons and one & only etc. the restaurant is first class as is everything about this hotel. Top draw. Faultless.

Beautiful & glamorous w/ really outstanding staff. The rooms are amazing as is the bar/restaurant XO. Very well appointed. Great for a luxury weekend getaway.

The hotel was unique and beautiful in ever way. Staying here is like staying in a different country. It's not your typical high end hotel like the W. Everything is uniquely different. The staff is second to none. Coolest, nicest most helpful people ever.

No complaints. Great hotel and great location. Concierge can do better but still a great place to stay in old Montreal.

Beautiful Hotel!! Superior Junior Suite - very nice, a little on the small side. Very nice bathroom; deep soaking bathtub is not that comfortable - not even when you roll a towel up to put under your head. XO restaurant - nice dining experience.

Old World Elegance is nice but the staff is what makes the hotel shine. from the front door man (from the seychelles) to the front desk clerk and concierge too all bend over backwards to make your stay comfortable. The rooms are dark, the location is near old Montreal, not in it... see it for yourself.

The hotel room and staff are perfect. The concierge was very helpful. A very nice place for a weekend getaway.

This hotel is wonderful. It's beautiful, it's clean, it's well situated and has excellent service. Really only 2 negatives, and they're hardly even worth mentioning. Just be advised they're not the softest beds in the world; and 2) They have somewhat traditional keys, but with a HUGE metal and tassel key chain. That being said, there's no reason I wouldn't stay there again! I stay at the Sofitel if Le St James is booked, but this is my first choice. Located on a convenient corner in Old Montreal, they have Valet parking, and they also have an excellent, no outstanding restaurant (XO Restaurant). It's stunningly decorated, but moreso the food and service were 2nd to none during our week-long visit to Montreal. As to the restaurant, just be aware, on Sunday and Monday they have a 'limited' menu. However, we ordered the 'tasting' menu on the Monday night and the sous chef's were phenomenal! Loved every bite. Stayed on the 5th floor and did hear quite a bit of street noise, about the same as the 11th floor of the Sofitel. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone, friends, family or anyone who asked.

A great hotel with easy access to everywhere in MTL. The staff were very accomadating and all the little details were handled just right.

I just returned from my stay at Hotel le Saint James and am still walking on air. The hotel itself is luxurious and beautiful. The spa was WONDERFUL but what made the hotel to me was the fantastic attention to detail by the staff. I was traveling alone and felt very pampered. The front desk was very accommodating as was the staff of bell men. They always had a smile on their face and a pleasant greeting whenever you arrived. The doorman Jean Luc was also incredibly helpful from suggestions on places to grab a quick bite to eat to always making sure that I had an ice cold bottle of water in my hand. (it was exceptionally hot while I was there.) The concierge Yannis was also very helpful. He made suggestions and arranged all of my dinner reservations along with a bike tour and suggested running routes. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone and truly hope that my travels take me back to Montreal so I can be pampered by this hotel again.

The Hotel St James is impeccable top to bottom. The staff tended to our every need around the clock. It was pampering at its finest! The suite we had was absolutely gorgeous! The antique furniture and luxurious linens made for such a relaxing room. We did not have time for the spa, but I thoroughly enjoyed the quiet but well equipped gym that was located next to the spa. The restaurant was amazing and I highly recommend the five course meal there. One of the best dining experiences I've ever had. We will stay at the St James again next year and are already looking forward to it. In fact, we are arriving a day earlier and staying a day later so we can fit in some shopping and a spa visit!!

The best place to stay in Montreal. The complete Montreal experience is fantastic! Culture, food, wine, life everything!

This hotel had a couple not so good reviews but the good ones seemed to lure me into giving it a try. I'm very glad I did. I've finally stayed at a hotel where the entire staff gives me the feeling that they have my best interest in mind while serving me. I demand a lot of hand holding when I stay at a hotel and always make requests of the front desk and hotel staff if for no other reason to see how far they will go to make sure I have a great stay.. Hotel Le St. James staff went above and beyond the call of duty constantly. If you go, try the spa.. it is located in the old Bank Vault in the basement and is a one-room, max two guest experience. Best message I have ever had and so my wife and I went for it twice. We stayed in a Deluxe suite.. reminded me of standard suite @ Crown Plaza in NYC.. very well decorated and plenty of room. The bed was just about the most comfortable we have ever experienced.. turn down service was every night and we did not have to ask. Very unique room Key (don't lose it, it is expensive to replace).. This hotel is walking distance to the water front and old Montreal.. right next door to Toque which I recommend if you like good food. We took a bus tour of the city for fun, and as the bus driver passed St. James he commended on how it was the most luxurious hotels in all of Montreal, and typically has famous people staying there. That was a nice touch, and I can understand why the famous people like it here.

we booked this hotel because we wanted something very special for our day in Montreal. We were very disappointed. Check in was 4 and we arrived at 3:30and were told it was not ready. Even though we were waiting right there we had to check again after 4 to be told the room was now ready.The reception staff acted like we were lucky they were speaking to us. The room itself was small and not at all special. There were no amenities. We were given a voucher for a free welcome drink but at the lounge they looked at it like trash and told us it had to be the hotels drink of the day. What was the high room rate about? Not service, not the room, Totally not worth it.

We encountered a rather squeaky bed on our first night. They graciously upgraded us for the second night. Both rooms were beautifully appointed - pity about the squeaky bed!

A perfect place in the heart of old Montreal. Very refined without being snobby. Although the building and its atmosphere are antique, nothing is run down and you'll find modern touches where you want them. This is a great, small hotel.

We had a wonderful stay. The staff couldn't have been nicer. The concierge gave us very helpful dinner and activity suggestions. The rooms were very comfortable. A wonderful, luxury hotel in the heart of Old Montreal.
