Hotel Vecchio Borgo - باليرمو

The staff was very helpful for tourist information. The neighborhood was not ready for tourists. The restaurant owners would raise the prices for tourists. The walk to the mass transit was 3-4 blocks. The bus strike occurred on the afternoon of the day we were leaving. It appears that they stop on the major tourist routes first, i.e. Piazza Independencia and Politamana. The other routes go longer, but check with locals. We had some American students tell us that they had gone on strike. One never knows until it is occurring. The next day may be fine.

Helpfull and respectifull personel.

The hotel has nice big rooms with a large bathroom. The large bath has too small a shower however. The rooms have individual heat/air control and shutters on the window that block the light in the morning. The big disadvantage is the location next to a plaza that the young people of the neighborhood use to party at night. Lots of noise and cars blowing horns and playing loud music. It is also kind of far from the Cathederal and other old city sites. It is close to Theatre Politeama and all the transportation that picks up there such as the airport bus however. I had some internet problems but other guests did not so maybe it was my laptop acting up. Overall I found it a good value for the rate I paid and the location was fine for me since I love to hike anyway. Others may find it noisy and inconvenient. .

Apart from the Coffee served for breakfast, Its a nice hotel. The staff are very helpful and my stay was pleasant. The rooms are cosy, clean and tidy.

The hotel is in a poorer district of Palermo but we felt safe at all times. The staff were very professional and courteous at all times. We had the best room in this hotel and it was perfect for a honeymoon adventure. Highly recommended hotel!

This hotel was overall a nice place to say. The bathroom was very large, but the shower was extremely small. The front desk staff was the nicest I have encountered. THey were very helpful and kind and looked looked everything up for us and wrote down all the details to get to specific places outside of the city.

I found the hotel to be very good. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful at all times. I would recommend the breakfast to all prospective travellers. It was very good. Moreover the location is very good in that it is a manageable walking disttance to all of the major attractions in Palermo. Perhaps my only negative comments is that the rooms are a little bit on the small side.

acceuil attentionné, belle chambre, beau petit déjeuner

We had a nice stay at the hotel for two nigths. Very cental locationg with walking distanse to city centre and main street. The hotel staff was very friendly and they speak good english. The rooms was ok, nice bath. Quiet location. The breakfast was not the best, but ok. In our eyes this is not a 4- star hotel, but a good 3-star hotel.

Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Zimmer sind schön und sauber. Frühstücksbuffet variantenreich für Italien, Bedienung zuvorkommend. Würde das Hotel bei einem nächsten Aufenthalt wiederum wählen.

Posto centrale e comodo per visitare la città a piedi e con mezzi- tutti vicini. Albergo dignitoso, letti comodi , buona biancheria, stanza piccola e doccia assolutamente ridicola (neanche in hotel a una stella). Per il resto normale colazione, personale gentile e disponibile a dare informazioni. Cataste di rifiuti sotto le finestre; zona alquanto degradata e piuttosto rumorosa la notte.

Personale alla reception molto simpatico, le camere esenziali ma ben curate e decorate con gusto, posizione centrale strategica per visita al centro città

Vi stannade bara över en natt för ett besök på Operan. Det var visserligen gångavstånd dit, men knappast "nära Operan" så som reklamen påstod. Hotellets läge inte de allra bekvämaste om man vill ha nära till stationen och de flesta sevärdheterna. Utmärkt service. Rummet var dock inte ordentligt befriat från dammtussar, vilket förmodligen handlade om att städerskorna inte hann med mer än säng och badrum när vi anlände så pas tidigt. Kort sagt: mycket prisvärt alternativ.

excellent accueil,personnel très aimable, hôtel récent de très bon niveau. difficultés de stationnement (mais comme partout à Palerme) peu de places de stationnement réservées aux clients de l'hôtel.

El único fallo de este precioso hotel y buena relación de calidad/precio es su ubicación en un barrio un tanto sucio, descuidado y ruinoso. No tuvimos ningún problema en la vecindad pero no se ve segura, ni limpia y es bastante ruidosa... Está a un paseo del centro, se puede ir andando y su acceso desde el puerto no es muy dificil. Palermo

Newly renovated hotel with very beautiful decorated rooms.

Nice clean rooms, large bathroom, great breakfast with fresh fruit, ham/eggs/cheese and more, and lots of cakes! Walking distance to most tourist attractions (10 -25 min) and shopping district. Friendly staff helped us with map and directions, it was our first time in Palermo. 100 meter to the busstop to Mondello beach (30 min), a nice break away from the city. Tip: Don't follow the Lonely Planet trail when looking for restaurants and bars. There are plenty of nice bars with less tourists in the small piazzas and small streets between Via Maqueda / Via Roma and the harbour. By the way, we felt safe in the city, night and day.

Sorprende la cortesia e la disponibilità degli operatori. L'Hotel si trova a circa 500 metri dal teatro Politeama, quindi al centro di Palermo. Questo consente di non dover usare l'auto per visitare il cuore della città
