Abbey Hotel - دﺑلن

My stay was pleasant; a bit surprising, the street front is a pub with 4 floors of rooms, no lift! You are close to everything downtown with sights, shopping and eating. Quiet rooms on the back end in 05 and 06.

Hotel has a great location, in Dublin city center. But No lift, and my room was on the 4th floor. They say i had Internet Access, but on the 4th floor i couldn't find the network as i was to far from the source... Hotel i clean but old and not in a really good shape.

Rooms front on to Luas (light rail). NO SLEEP due to rail, bin lorries, street rowdiness.

Room was OK, but television was old and channel choice very poor. Location good. I do not think there was a lift and trek upto 3rd floor is long due to the layout.

Overall I had a positive experience at the Abbey Hotel. The staff were exceptionally nice and gave me excellent restaurant suggestions and help with the local transport. The hotel itself was clean, but dated. The lift was broken, which did not affect me, but could have been a problem for others. My room itself was basic but very clean. The mattress, however, was not great, but for the location of the hotel and the excellent value, I really have no room to complain. It's a perfect place to stay if you plan on not being in the room much. I really appreciated the free tea in the room, as well. The area near the hotel is very safe, and I felt comfortable walking around at night.

Our only inconvenience was that we were on the top floor and the elevator was not working. Otherwise the service was excellent and the staff very pleasent. The location was very convenient for walking to all parts of the city. The Luas stopped practically outside the hotel which was very convenient for us as we travelled by train to Houstan station and we caught the Luas outside the station to our hotel.

We have stayed at the Abbey Hotel perhaps 5 or 6 times. It's in a very central location. If your looking for a good basic, clean hotel and don't need 5 star comforts or service, this is well worth considering. Staff are mostly friendly and helpful. Room is clean and comfortable; certainly good value for money.

The recpitionist that was working the day i was there was very nice and also very hot.

In a ideal city centre location. Not very welcoming. Decor and carpet needs a lot to be desired.

Worth staying just to meet Sylvana

My daughter and I stayed at the middle abbey street hotel and I have nothing but praise for the owner all the way down the line ! They made us feel at home and were so helpfull, seeing it was our first trip to Ireland and overseas. I would recommend them to anyone. The food and drinks were great, clean rooms felt more like friends than just a customer!

Having stayed here before i had no hesitation in booking the abbey hotel again. Its so central to all the shops and temple bar area that you simply cant beat it !!clean, tidy and a simple no nonsense hotel that will satisfy the needs of a visitor to dublin working within a budget ! some decoration has occured since my last visit and still on going !!But excellent value for money, great location and everything you can expect from a budget hotel. roll on my next trip to Dublin!!! defo stay here again !! unless i win the lottery !! then i'll buy it !!!and run it myself !!. temple bar area is 3 mins walk away over the Hapenny bridge so the nite life your seeking is a stones throw away !! trinity college and musuems are 10 mins walk and your dead handy to catch the airport express bus in OConnell street . So if your thinking of a good standard of accomodation, centrally located at a price that fits the budget travellers pocket then LOOK NO FURTHER !! THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU !!!pub attached to the hotel , but this has changed and whilst it still had good service and nice meals , it has lost some of its character in its make over!! so see you soon at the Abbey hotel. but dont overbook it so i cant stay when i want too !!! give it a try and you@ll agree its great value in a city that can be VERY expensive !!

Overall satisfied, but the loud noise from the bar was too much. So if you are planning a quiet and relaxing time, choose another hotel. Location is perfect.

The Abbey Hotel was close to everything and the room was not too bad. The employees were very helpful and friendly. But, there was a band playing until 2:30am directly below our room. With my ear plugs, we could clearly hear everything, as if we were front row. It doesn't matter how nice the staff are, If you can't sleep at night, then you might as well have saved money and slept on the street. The owners need to make a decision- do they want to own a hotel or do they want to own a nightclub? If the answer is that they want to own a hotel, then they need to give up the live music aspect of their hotel bar.

Basic hotel accommodation at a great price in the heart of dublin.The staff are wonderful with everyone on first name terms.Cannot praise the staff enough ,David,Alicia(hope the spelling's right).Danni,paul,Sam,Mal.Great people.Would recommend this to anyone for a stay to visit dublin. I've stayed at the Abbey Hotel twice. First impression of the entrance of the hotel is poor, however it improves as you leave the narrow entrance hall.The staff are friendly and helpful. Room was clean and presented well. If you are looking for 5 star elegance, this it not for you. However, if you want a good basic clean hotel in a great city centre location, this is an excellent choice. Great value for money and less than 5 minute walk from airport bus! Try it! Have stayed here before and would again. Staff are particularly helpful and friendly. Clean and convenient. Only problem was the bed: firm enough and not old but every movement produced a sound as if we were sleeping on a banjo: Sproing!

Currently under new management and in the process of renovation, I was somewhat apprehensive on arrival. The entrance was unpreposessing, but staff were very helpful and the room was much better than I had expected - clean, pleasant, large enough, with everything in it that should be there. I was well satisfied.

We stayed at the Abbey for one night before catching a flight to the airport. It is less than five mins from O'Connell street, where the shops and airport bus are to be found. It is also a short walk from the tram stop, from where you can get to the train station. From the outside the hotel appears closed for refurbishment, however that is only the bar! The room was quite large, although somehow managed to appear to be underground despite being on the first floor! Bedding was immaculately clean and smart, shower was powerful, bathroom was clean throughout. Only negitive point was that some of the plaster in the room had been knocked off and not repaired. There is a good chinese buffett a couple of doors away for evening food, the morning breakfast is e7.50 for a full irish with cereal and toast etc, however as we were leaving early we were unable to try it. There is free wireless internet, although the girl on the desk didn't know the password - the cleaning lady does however! Apparently the wireless only extends up to the second floor, so if you want internet during your stay ask not to be on the third floor.

Hotellet är helt OK för att vara ett av de billigare alternativen. Läget är centralt med gångavstånd till det mesta. Provade inte hotellets frukost utan åt på stan istället.

Sympa, personnel accueillant et pas guindé, bonne disponibilité jour et nuit. Idéal pour une virée entre copains ou un court séjour. Bien situé près du centre, et surtout de Temple Bar. Chambres remarquablement tenues. Il n'y a pas de petit déjeuner, mais comme on est tout près de cafés qui en servent, ce n'est pas un problème.

Hotellet har en helt perfekt placering. Er genåbnet i 2011 og er derfor ved at finde sine ben at stå på. Sengene er ikke de mest behagelige, men rengøringen i orden og personalet helt i top! Kan varmt anbefales hvis man ønsker at bo centralt i Dublin.

Bag skabe lå gammelt affald, gulvtæppet havde ikke været støvsuet det sidste halve år, fyldt med snulder, tapeten manglede mange steder på væggene og hang steder i baner på vej ned fra væggen, Servicen var som regel snoppet og ubehøvlet bortset fra et par enkelte ansatte som til gengæld var rigtigt søde.

The room was very noisy, and rather unpleasant. Staff were friendly and helped us with and early check in. Location was great. But still, this hotel was not worth the money we payed for it. If your looking for somewhere central and you don`t mind a low standard, go to a hostel, that`s much cheaper!

The hotel is perfectly situated and has fantastic service and great staff, we felt very welcome! The rooms are nice and clean and you get exactly what you see in the pictures on the website. We have stayed many times in other hotels in Dublin who are supposed to be 4 or 5 stars but The Abbey Hotel outconquers them without a doubt! We will most definately come back!

Vi bor alltid på detta hotell när vi är i Dublin. Väldigt litet hotell med vänlig personal, rena rum och NÄRA TILL ALLT! Det är läget som får oss att återkomma.

Personalet der var så utrolig hyggelige,Viste ikke hva godt de skulle gjøre for oss.Stille og rolig.Sto det kunne være noe støy i annonsen.,men vi merket ikke noe.Deilig frokost.Kort vei til sentrum.Bare helt topp.

Had room on top floor. Was very hot during nights, even heater was off. No WiFi above first floor. Was difficult to find hotel.

Hotel discreto, personale disponibile, camere pulite, un pò rumorose quelle sulla strada, ma soprattutto fare attenzione nei fine settimana perchè l'hotel è situato sopra un pub con musica dal vivo. Centrale per spostarsi a piedi, anche se il quartiere in se è un pò decadente specialmente dopo l'orario di chiusura dei negozi.

Et udmærket Hotel i Centrum af Dublin, værelset var ok, rent og hyggeligt, personalet i den lille Reception venligt og hjælpsomt. Mulighed for at opbevare bagage på hjemrejse datoen var dejligt. En enkelt Negativ ting var der dog, morgenmad fungerer ikke, den første dag var de ikke klar, den anden dag var personalet syg. Men tag ud ui byen der er masse af dejlige stede rat få morgenmad.

Das kleine City-Hotel hat eine sehr gute Lage, man kann Dublin von dort aus zu Fuß erlaufen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Als wir gegen 15:00 Uhr ankamen, waren die Zimmer jedoch nicht bezugsfertig, immerhin konnten wir das Gepäck in einem "Kellerverlies" zwischenlagern. Das Zimmer war geräumig, ging aber zum Hinterhof und war bedingt durch irgendein Lüftungssystem (tagsüber und nachts) sehr laut. Farbe/Putz bröckelte z.T. von den Zimmerwänden, eine von zwei Nachttischlampen fehlte. Auch das Bad (Wannenränder!) bräuchte eine Überholung. Das tägliche Zimmeraufräumen war gut, man ist zumindest bemüht, das Beste aus dem Zustand zu machen. Fazit: wenn die Zimmer einer Renovierung unterzogen würden, wäre das Abbey Hotel ein nettes, kleines City-Hotel. Momentan fehlt der Wohlfühlfaktor, es erfüllt aber noch seinen Zweck.

Hotellet har en ypperlig beliggenhet. Gangavstand til det meste som er verdt å se. De som jobber på hotellet og i baren er kjempehyggelige og hjelper deg med hva det måtte være. Deres råd er vel verdt å lytte til. Du vil alltid føle deg velkommen og ivaretatt på Abbey Hotel. Hotellet og rommet fremsto akkurat som beskrevet i omtalen (og det er slett ikke alltid sånn!). Vel vedrt prisen og vel så det!

Vi bodde i fjord og i år på Abbey. I fjord var vi fornøyd med hotellet og servicen. I år var det under ombygging og det ryktes at det er ny eier. Servicen var meget dårlig i år. Hotellet ligger sentralt, det er et pluss. Jeg reiser tilbake, men vil først sjekke om det er ferdig renovert.
