This is the second time we have had a short break in the Villa Gale this year. We loved it even more this time. The room was very spacious and modern with a lovely view from the balcony over the sea and to the distant Estoril coastline. The food was very good both at breakfast and also the evening buffet with plenty of choice for both. The staff were always courteous and helpful and the Manager was often to be seen involved with the day to day running. The Hotel is welcoming and it feels as though guests are very important to them. It is well placed to stroll either to the Marina or into the very pretty town of Cascais. The pool area was always spotlessly clean and the water quality was constantly checked. I would highly recommend this Hotel and we shall definitely be returning.

we really liked the staff and hotel, but the room didn't really match our expectations for a 4 star hotel. we booked a suite overlooking the sea. the room was spacious but the quality of the facilities and the view was not 4 star, rather 3 star.

Overall this is a good hotel in a good location and convenient to Lisbon and Sintra for day trips. Although staff were pleasant and helpful when you approached them, there was no welcome/information pack available in the the hotel. I had to borrow an info pack that belonged to a package holiday company. The level of simple local knowledge was a bit disappointing. I booked a my room 4 months in advance specifying a room on the highest floor. I got one on the first floor beside a lift/elevator overlooking the hotel entrance canopy! Although I got a change of room it was still on the first floor - no balcony. The non-availability of balconies for some rooms was not specified in the booking form. Local town had lots of places to eat - varying quality. There is a nice coastal walk just outside the hotel. Free municipal bicycles are available on production of passport or driving license, however the hotel staff could not direct me to any of the locations from which to get the bikes.

perfect hotel and location. it is a nice walk to town for food or fun- segway rides were great.

We stayed at the Ville Gale May 9th to 16th 2011, had a very pleasant stay, breakfast excellent, staff friendly and helpfull.

stayed here with a few girlfriends had a brillant time. All staff very friendly especially the girls at the reception who were most helpful.Location is very good, lots to do Cascais is a lovely town with lots of nice restaurants and coffee bars!!!! Will be back

Very nice hotel and excellent location at a short walk from sights and restaurants. Friendly staff, huge and clean rooms and good rates for off season visitors. Excellent breakfast.

Hotel accommodation was comfortable and clean. Hotel breakfast had a good range of food to chose from. Booked a junior suite which was ideal for two adults and two children. Would definitely book again. Only point would be that the hotel sign is a bit difficult to see in the evening/dark as it is slightly obscured by bushes.

We booked the hotel through Hotels.Com based on the great reviews and we were NOT at all disappointed. The location was great - just by the Marina and a short walk into the center of Cascais. The facilities, staff, food and general atmosphere was superb. We would strongly recommend this hotel and will go there again if we visit Cascais. All the restaurants we ate at were lovely. You must have Santini ice cream when you visit - delicious. A visit to the most westerly point of mainland Europe is a MUST.

We found the Vila Gale Cascais to be a fabulous hotel. The staff at reception were very friendly and helpful and the whole hotel including the pool toilets was spotless. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone of any age group. It is a ten minute walk from the hotel to the town with only a slight hill and there is beautiful views of the harbour. We will definitely return here.

This hotel is nicer than it looks on website. Our room was large and comfortable.Breakfast was fantastic.Staff pleasant and helpful.Nice bar.Close to town. Lots to do. Loved it

en Cascais, hotel grande para ir con familias. lejos de Lisboa y no en centro de Cascais. Para ir y estar en el hotel. muy grande

Hotellet fungerer godt som en velsmurt maskin. Sålenge du klarer deg selv og finner deg tilrette, så fungerer dette helt topp. Men har du behov for ekstraservice, så er denne begrenset. Personalet har liten tid til å yte det ekstra som de beste hotellene klarer. Mangelen på Wifi i rommene er et stort savn. Frokosten er fin, men med en uke med det samme ble vi lei. Variasjon eller større utvalg hadde vært flott. Golfavtalene hotellet kan ordne var meget praktiske og massasjen på Spa var helt topp!

séjour agréable seul inconvénient la chambre avec vue sur la mer vraiment mal placée sur le coté, impossible de choisir meilleure situation par le net.

Paradisíaco! Um investimento grande em paisagismo fizeram do local um ambiente agradabilíssimo. Piscinas magníficas e o mar ali tão pertinho! Uma delícia andar nas pistas de madeira, verdadeiro exercício necessário pós farto café da manhã.

this hotel is actually worth the price for a vacation in this district. Friendly personell, ok service, and fast check-in/check-out. The restaurant is not to recommend. The food quality is only regular, and did not give me any culinary experience. also what draws down my stay at this hotel is the service in the restaurant. We ordered a duck which was undercooked - after my taste. When we complained, it took aprx. 20 min before someone gave us any alternatives. Not good! But if you stay at this hotel, and eat out on several great restaurants, enjoy! :)

Mycket bra läge, trevligt poolområde, mycket bra frukost! Vi hade gärna sett att det funnits handdukar tillgängliga vid poolen. Hit kan vi verkligen tänka oss att återvända!

Vi var fyra vuxna som bodde här i sex dagar. Perfekt även för barnfamilj eftersom det fanns en lekplats och barnpool i "trädgården". Det enda negativa var alla duvor kring och på våra frukostbord. men vi åker gärna dit igen!

Perfekt hotel hvis du skal til Cascais. Kort vei til sentrum, kort vei til andre aktiviteter. Frokosten er god.

En general el hotel ,dispone de buena calidad , un servicio muy amable, el desayuno excelente, y en una zona tranquila, cercano al mar rodeado de jardines pero proximo al cento urbano.Para nosotros ha sido excelente.

Hotel da consigliare per la posizione, a 10 minuti a piedi dal centro di Cascais, vicinissimo alla Boca do Inferno, confinante con un bel parco Camere ampie, comodo parcheggio, piscina piccola ma per chi preferisce andare in spiaggia non è un problema. Ottimo soggiorno sotto tutti i punti di vista Piccolo neo: un'indicazione turistica errata della recepionist, che ci ha assicurato che il Palazzo nazionale di Sintra era sempre aperto, invece l'abbiamo trovato chiuso (chiude il mercoledi)

Bra hotell. Dubbelkolla efter balkong om ni ska bo i familjerum. Barnpoolen 0,75m djup.

La suite-junior tout simplement magnifique !!.....tres grande, propre, belle deco tres moderne avec clim(indispensable en ete) et ecran-plat.......Bon accueuil, buffet -petit-dejeuner vraiment tres copieux......Sejour tres agreable, je recommande cet hotel !!.....

Hotellet er etter vår mening meget bra. Det anbefales å søke rom mot poolen. Rom over resepsjonen vender ut mot en biergarten med høy musikk i week-enden, samt en park med haner og påfugler som starter sitt spill kl. 0400 om morgenen. Frokosten er bra og det er ikke mer enn 10 min . til sentreum dersom man går gjennom parken.

Hotellin sijainti oli ihanteellinen: lyhyt kävelymatka keskustaan, ja rauhallinen ympäristö ilman keskustan meluhaittoja. Tilasimme merinäköalan ja saimme mitä tilasimme. Hyvä hinta-laatusuhde. Mahtava brunch-aamiainen. Vuoteet olivat king-sized ja tyynyt erinomaisen mukavat, mutta ehkä Portugalissa ei käytetä petareita - vuoteet hieman liian kovat (sama koski myös hyvätasoista hotellia Lissabonissa eli ehkä maan tapa).
