Good hotel at a fair price in an excellent location. The consierge was most helpful. Great views from top floor terrace.

We stayed for 3 nights. As soon I we walked in the hotel looked amazing, really nice decor. We were able to check in 1 and half before check in time, the staff very helpful. The room was nice and clean, beds, towels, toiletries were constantly being replenished daily. There was a gym which we didnt use, but did use te sauna and Turkish bath which in a very clean state. Also had a swimming pool on the roof but was too cold to sample. We opted for breakfast, and was not disappointed they had full continental breakfast, and always being topped up by the friendly staff, and the view was amazing. The only small downside was the fact you had to pay for wifi, Apart from this, everything else was perfect. Would definitely recommend to others

We have been staying at this hotel for a number of years and it never fails to disappoint. We always ask for a room overlooking the harbour as the views and sunsets are lovely. The rooms are spotless and the beds very comfortable. It's location in the centre of Faro is the perfect base for exploring the city and it's right next to the bus station if you want to travel further afield. Breakfast offers a large variety of food, both hot and cold and the views over the sea are a stunning. I would defninately recommend this hotel for anyone staying in Faro.

We upgraded to a room with a view of the marina We had asked about noise from the club below and were reassured that it would not be a problem at this time of year ie December. Unfortunately the receptionist was wrong. We suffered the noise until midnight then asked when the singing/ band would stop. Apparently it would go onto 1 am. Reception were very aware of the noise factor! We asked for and were given another, more quiet room. We still had to pay the upgrade charge.

I picked this hotel for it's location which did not disappoint. The reception staff were excellent and very helpful. The only downside, which I was aware of before I booked the hotel, was the noise from the local Eme club. On two out of the seven nights I stayed here, they had a singer on and the noise carried. However, this stopped around twelve. On the Saturday night, the noise of the locals looking for taxis or buses kept me awake. The rooms are not as sound-proof as the hotel claims.

The hotel is in a really good location - right next to the harbour. Breakfast can be enjoyed outdoors overlooking the harbour. The pool was a good place to get the last rays of sun each day. Both the bus station and train station arew within 5 mins walk of the hotel. Rooms were really quiet and dark.

This is an excellent choice for a visit to old Faro . Situated adjacent to the Marina it is easy walking distance to the old city sites and shops. The staff are uniformly friendly and helpful and the roof top restaurant should not be missed for the view as well as the excellent food

Had a lovely stay for 3 nights this hotel was perfectly situated in the centre of faro with lovely views from the 5 th floor restaurant terrace where we had breakfast. The pool area was perfect to relax at after a wander round the town. It has an poolside bar that serves drinks and snacks all day. Will definitely be back as we got very reasonable flights to faro. So close to airport so ideal for a weekend away. Also it is right next to train station too,

Couldn't ask for a better location. We took the train which stops 300 meters from the hotel. The lobby is beautiful and the hotel sits right on the marina. It is an easy walk to the main downtown area. Beaches are away from town so if you want to get sun the pool is on the 5th floor with 360 degree views. The hotel is quite long and our room happened to be situated at the far end which is above the bus depot and almost below the pool. The carpet was soiled and not in great shape. When we wanted to go to the pool from the room we had to walk the entire length of the hotel, take the elevator to the top level and then walk the entire length of the hotel past meeting rooms (that were in session even on the weekends) to the pool. Upon our first visit to the pool we were told to go back to the front desk and leave a 15 Euro deposit for each towel that we wanted to use. Overall we were pleased with the hotel, just not our room or the access to the pool.

Very relaxing friendly hotel, staff very helpfull and friendly. The hotel rooms are of good size and very clean, room service was very good with the room cleaned every day. The meals are very good in a very relaxed atmosphere and reasonably priced to eating out. This hotel is 4 star and deserves this rating.

On arrival, there was no hotel parking for us, so we had to pay a few euros to park it in another street. We had a brief problem with our bathroom tap (brown water first then a dribble) but the hotel fixed it promptly. We were kept awake until 2am by the karaoke bar outside. Pool area pleasant as was breakfast but we didn't feel this hotel deserved its 4 star status.

I found the hotel to be very central for sightseeing and close to restaurants, shops and transportation. However, I found that the reception staff were not very helpful when I asked them for directions. They din't tell us that the bus station was around the corner from the hotel! I felt that they could have been more accomodating in this way to people who have never been to Faro before.

Great hotel in Faro with great breakfeast and with amazing location. Stunning views over the marina. Great pool.

This must be the best hotel in Faro. Lovely rooftop restuarant and pool

Very good location and inside it looks brand new. The only thing I wasn't so satisfied with was the breakfast, it was good, but I don't think it was a 4 star breakfast (i.e. it didn't have fresh orange juice and much of the fruit was from a tin).

On arrival at our destination the weather was not good however, when we arrived at the hotel we were very impressed. Overall impression of hotel was good, room was very comfortable and staff in hotel very accommodating. Food too was very good. Only problem was the swimming pool was out of action due to refurbishment but this was not mentioned anywhere. Also think people should know that the jacuzzi, steam facilities are single sex. Overall however a pleasant stay with no thanks to very poor weather. We were glad the hotel did not match the weather.

I think this hotel would be great in Summer, but we booked there especially because there was a pool - and it was closed!! Staff were helpful and friendly but there was no service at the rooftop bars/lounges which was strange - and inconvenient! The only other negative was the bathroom door in the room was see-through which we found off-putting! But the room itself was very nice - and very clean. EXCELLENT location. Close to everything but not TOO close.

This is a modern well equipped hotel conveniently located by the Marina in Faro old town. It is great for an overnight stopover if your flight in to Faro is late

Nice clean hotel in the heart of the historic district

Most convenient for both the airport and town centre. A spectacular view from the dining room - most impressive for dining. Service was very attentive for both lunch and dinner, the menu choice was very good and the meals were excellent. We also had had drinks in the bar and the service and attention was excellent.

First class location whether it was for access to the main shopping areas or just to roam about. The bus and train stations are close at hand to give access to all parts of the Algarve. The hotel is beautifully maintained and having the restaurant "on the roof" is wonderful, the sun streaming in even in January is so good.The breakfast itself was very good with plenty of choice. The staff were pleasant and very helpful.

The hotel is very well situated - we had a room with a balcony and view of the harbour. The hotel is next door to the bus station and a few mins from the train station. Great breakfast and well equipped gym. The pool was far too cold to be used in October and the hotel were unflexible with a late check out and use of facilities to change into with no room.

I was just overnighting at Eva on the way home, and the downtown location near train and bus stations, shops, and the beautiful marina view were all significant features that make Hotel Eva a recommended downtown Faro choice. The room was comfortable but could have used a bit better vacuuming job. The health club was excellent and the staff professional. The rooftop pool was a welcome respite and the rooftop restaurant had an excellent regional menu and great wine choices. I thoroughly enjoyed my brief stay at Hotel Eva.

Hotel was nice and in a good area. We had a room with a view over the marina which was lovely. The pool was really nice to spend a few relaxing hours late afternoon/early evening. Hotel Eva was a bit more expensive than most other hotels but definitely worth it especially as breakfast is included.

I stayed 1 night at this hotel, very clean hotel , the breackfast was fantastic, the hotel was convientent to the train station.

Very good central location and a lovely hotel

Nice place. Friendly staff. Price is reasonable. The only flaw we found was that the hot tub was not working.

The hotel is well situated. The staff were very helpful on the two nights we stayed at the beginning and again at the end of our break. I had practiced booking in in Portugues. My Portugues is rubbish but they gave us a Marina view. All the staff were exeptionally helpful, and friendly. The hotel held our bags free of charge the next day, also when we booked in at end of our holiday so we could go round Faro unencumbered. I think for the price the hotel is excellent. Very good location. bus depot on the same block as hotel with English speaking again. Lots of excellent meals in Faro. Dont go to The Chelsea Restaurant, in Faro, the only place on our trip that was a rip off. Otherwise everything really great.

This hotel is within walking distance to the train station and a short taxi drive to the airport. All of the shopping in town is right around across the street. Bar downstairs, restaurant upstairs. This place has everything! The gym is better than my world-known gym at home. Spa, sauna, hairdresser, and even a barber (and yes I visited him as I awaited my flight to leave). The people at the front desk were very helpful which was nice since many speak only a little English around the cities. The showers were great and the beds were comfortable. After traveling all over Portugal for over two weeks, this was our top 2. Great views of the marina and old city (surrounded by Roman walls) from many of the rooms and the top.

This is very convenient for the Marina and the Old Town area with its shops and restaurants. Rooms are good size , air conditioned . Fine views from the rooftop restaurant

Great hotel with Excellent location. On down side additional cost for Marina view when arrived at hotel. However it was worth it . Had a great short break.

Our stay was enjoyable because a holiday is what you make it. The pool was good fun, but the bar staff were a bit miserable. The prices by the pool were very very expensive 2.50 for a coke..... 3.00 for a bottle of water. We found out that you can actually buy the same water from the local supermarket for 0.40. (Bargain). The hotal states babysitting service, we enquired on the price 20.00 Euros an hour.... we passed. The hotel also boasts a swim up bar... There is a swimming pool and a bar but you have to walk to it, we were alittle disappointed about this. Generally though, the horel was clean, and our room was made up everyday. Although, we were supposed to be in a non smoking room, on the last day i found a cigarette but under our bed.... ERRRR. We would definitely go back to Faro although very close to the airport, we could see all the planes coming into land, but also very convienient for a short break as flight was only 2ish hours and only about 5 miles from the airport, or about 10 euros taxi ride. Faro great place, may try hotel faro next. We had a great boat trip to see the wildlife, and there was a seafood festival which was a great experience, delicious fresh seafood... Yummy. There is also a whole hoast of delightful restaurants to eat at. There are los of good shops, and they play misic through speakers onto the streets. There was a train ride that took us around Faro, and we saw lots of place we wouldn't have seen on foot.

The Hotel is modern and lovely. Since we received a discounted price we were not given a room with a view of the marina. One of the women at the front desk was rather unwelcoming (hello!). When she presented us with a broken computer key for the room safe, I asked for another room. She became so indignant and asked me to leave our valuables at the front desk (What!!) This was the hotel's problem ... not mine. On a positive note, the room was very comfortable and the breakfast buffet was excellent. The hotel is within one block of the main bus station. At the marina we took the tour of the uninhabited Ilha Deserta (strongly recommended.

We had a wonderful time at this hotel. The room was excellent; although it overlooked the road there was double double glazing so we didn't hear a thing. The food was also very good; breakfast was lovely and the food in the restaurant was reasonably priced and very good. The lunch menu at the pool bar was a bit limited but very tasty. The location was excellent; right next to the harbour but also very good access to shops and restaurants. If important, it was also close to the bus station. The roof-top pool was a good size although the water was a bit cold. We would certainly go back again.

We arrived at Hotel Eva after a short 10 minute taxi journey which cost only 12.5 euros. Contrary to some reviews I had read before we travelled, the hotel reception staff were efficient, friendly and courteous and they all spoke excellent English. Our room was adequate (and we hadn't expected to be lucky enough to be given a marina view anyway) but shortly after unpacking I discovered that the safe did not work. I went and explained politely that this was unacceptable and (after being firm and sticking to my guns) I was given the key to a new room with a working safe. I was not charged extra and the room turned out to be a suite! We were delighted and the free upgrade more than made up for the time spent re-packing and un-packing again. Again, there was no view of the marina but we were happy anyway. We sat on the terrace outside the restaurant overlooking the marina every morning whilst we ate our breakfast anyway. I had also read very mixed reviews about the standard of breakfast before we travelled. I am delighted to report that the quality and selection of food available was superb. I could have easily eaten 5 courses if I wanted to - and my husband did on 3 occasions! The roof-top pool was also adequate (although the sides under water level could have done with a good scrub) and very under-used considering there is no beach nearby. This is possibly because the hotel was used by lots of businessmen as well as tourists.

Liked: Location Lobby Rooftop Terrace Superior Double Room Disliked: Superior rooms do not have balcony or marina view or sun exposure but regular doubles do! Faro airport is close to Faro and overhead airplane noise is an issue

Right in the middle of everywhere you want to be, 10 minutes (7 EURO) from the airport or the beach. Fantastic little spots to eat and good shopping.

Hotel Eva appears to be a very new, modern hotel, however pictures can be deceiving. The lobby is newly renovated and very modern, however my room was sub-par and definitely not worthy of four stars (or even three, for that matter). The bed was a full size with a lumpy, uneven matress. The furniture was very low-end and the bathroom had very dim lighting. The balcony had a dirty plastic table with two chairs. On the plus side, the room seemed to be very clean. The location is excellent--less than ten minutes to Faro airport and about a three minute walk to the shopping district. This is a good hotel if you are looking for convenience, but a poor choice if you are seeking luxury.

Super beliggenhed og fint fitness center ! Motgenmaden er lidt kedelig, men alt andet er perfekt!

Mycket trevligt hotell med perfekt läge. Välj ett rum med balkong mot marinan, oslagbar utsikt. Kommer du med buss från flygplatsen ligger hotellet runt hörnet. Bra frukost, bra. Vi utnyttjade inte bastu och spaavdelningen. Enda nackdelen var att poolområdet på taket var stängt pga reparation.

Riktigt sköna sängar och god frukost. Bra faciliteter på hotellet. Dock lite dyrt WiFi samt att polen var lite dåligt underhållen.

Et glimrende hotel og god morgenmad. Men for dårligt , at der ikke er gratis wifi på hotellet,- det burde absolut være inkluderet

Vi fik et rigtig godt tilbud, og sammenlignet med en lille pension som vi boede i tidligere på ugen, vil jeg klart anbefale at booke hotel Eva i stedet. Lækker morgenmad og flot udsigt.

Hotellin sijainti kaupunkiin nähden hyvä. Kaikki nähtävyydet, vanha kaupunki ja kävelykadut lähellä. Saimme huoneen toisesta kerroksesta linja-autoaseman yläpuolelta, vaikka huone oli ns. superior huone. Autojen häiritsevä ääni alkoi jo klo 04-05 välillä aamuyöstä. Myöskään toivomaamme kahta erillistä sänkyä ei löydy superior huoneista. Lähtö Lissabonin aamukoneeseen oli hotellista jo klo 04.30. Kun edellisenä iltana tiedustelimme mahdollista aamupalaa, meille kerrottiin respasta, että aamupalle voi mennä jo aamuyöstä ennen lähtöämme. varmistin sen moneen kertaan, että ymmärrys oli molemminpuolinen. - Kun menimme aamiaishyuoneeseen klo 04 jälkeen, siellä kyllä vietiin jo tuoreita leipiä pöytään ja kahvikin oli valmiina, mutta meidät hyvin epäkohteliaasti käskettiin ulos ja sanottiin, että kukaan ei saa aamupalaa ennen klo 06.00 - EI KUKAAN! Tietysti valitimme tästä tuloaulassa, koska meitä oli nimenomaan näin informoitu. Pyytelivät kohteliaasti anteeksi. Olen matkustanut työkseni lähes 35 vuotta n. 200 yöpymistä vuodessa, eikä missään ole näin tylysti kohdeltu. Aamupalat ovat aina järjestyneet huonompitasoisissakin hotelleissa, hyvistä puhumattakaan. Lähtöaamu vei siis hohtoa muuten suht. hyvältä hotellikokemukselta. Luulenpa, että keittiöhenkilökuntaa ei ole mitenkään koulutettu asiakaspalveluun tässä hotellissa. Respan väki ja laukkujen kantaja erittäin kohteliaita ja ammattilaisia.
