Very comfortable and serene as advertised. The location is handy to Roy Thomson Hall and the St. Lawrence market.

My partner and I had a great experience at the Cosmpolitan, Toronto. The staff was very nice, helpful and generous. I appreciated the 'Zen' theme running throughout the hotel. I loved the person they had come up to the room every evening to give us our choice of incense and 'crystal' rocks. Even the elevator had 'Zen' music and scents, and every day when our room was cleaned the staff was sure to turn on one of a variety of meditation CD's. The room was also quite spacious; a one bedroom with a full kitchen and a balcony. Best of all, the location was excellent; we could walk just about everywhere--to the eaton centre, great restaurants and bars, st.lawrence market, etc. The only thing that was lacking was good food; there is no full restaurant at the hotel. No matter, however, as the location was so excellent you could easily walk or take a short cab ride to any number of excellent restaurants. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Coming from Vancouver I wanted to find a boutique hotel that was central so I could walk to all my meetings. And the Cosmopolitan fit the bill. Very comfortable bed with great pillows. Quiet with limited number of rooms per floor; I believe 5 so not a lot of activity on the floor. Nice lounge on the main floor and helpful staff. I would definitely look into staying at the Cosmopolitan on any future trips to Toronto.

Wonderful relaxing concept for a hotel. Tranquil music and lighting in the elevator. I really enjoyed my stay at the cosmo, I didn't feel like I was staying at a hotel I felt like I was in my very own trendy condo in a cool downtown neighbourhood. The surrounding area has tons of great entertainment and restaurants. There are some minor details that the hotel could work on such as the towels/linen did have that rough hotel feel and they had that usual hotel smell to them. The tv in the main room was fussy but crystal clear in the bedroom. I would highly recommend this hotel for a close get away in the city. I will definitely stay at this hotel again and will be trying some of the spa services next time. The balcony was also a great feature.

The hotel is well located off King and Younge. Had a comfortable and nice stay there but found the internet connection to be terrible and constantly problematic. I was staying during a business trip and found it very difficult to get work done without proper internet connection. For $12 a day(!) for connection, it was unacceptable. Other than that it was a nice room.

Hotel location was great for our purposes, but we were in a tiny, chopped-up room with dinged and dented walls. Price was good, but I don't know that I'd go back to stay there.

Lovely hotel, very relaxing atmosphere. I loved the fountain in the room and the large windows that you can open so it's never stuffy. The hardwood floors are another plus.

This is a very contemporary and modern hotel, as promised. Pros: New furnishings, very good service, very clean. Great location to walk to the market and restaurants. Cons: The rooms could definitely be bigger (I was upgraded to a Lotus room and it was still small-feeling after 3 days). The restaurant could be more inspiring.

Small rooms, but confortable, clean, very modern and convienient for walking around and exploring downtown Toronto. Room Price was reasonable. Valet parking is overpriced- cheaper parking is avalible close by. Very nice and personable staff.- Would return

We stayed in the Zen room and we have mixed feelings. On the one hand, it's clean, modern and nicely located in the city centre. On the other hand, there are a few negatives. First, the room is small, no larger than the bed, and the kitchenette is tucked into its own small room. Second, I specifically requested hypoallergenic bedding (as advertised on the site), but all i got was one sheet, a lightweight blanket of sheets and uncomfortable pillows, as opposed to what you might expect - a nice synthetic duvet and soft, comfortable pillows. Moreover, this being winter, I found the room became extremely dry with the heater on. Finally, the breakfast is not included, and if you sit down, they don't tell you that it'll cost $16 for coffee, yogurt and some fresh fruits - no hot food! I think this is an expensive hotel lacking benefits like a pool / hot tub and breakfast, and much more could be done to make it excellent value for the price paid.

Terrific front desk staff and good quality hotel in a great location. Only complaint would be the showers need a good bleach and scrub and ensure you are on a high level otherwise the exhaust fan outside is really noisy.

I love this hotel! I found it on the web, so was unsure what to expect. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was awesome and very clean and comfortable. There was even an umbrella in the closet, which came in handy when I went out for dinner on a rainy night. Room service was great. But my favorite was the evening incense delivery! I will definitely stay here again. Thank you!

Great location. Right across from the subway station and in the heart of Downtown. It maybe a little difficult to find, because its located in what seems to be an alley. Everything is within walking distance from this hotel. Interior is nice. The only issue we had was, regardless of the privacy plaquer placed on the door, house cleaning still entered and cleaned our room. The second time it happened we were still in bed asleep, but overall the service, hotel and location was good.

We truly enjoyed our recent stay at the Cosmopolitan Hotel. We stayed in a Zen Suite and it was lovely, truly an oasis in the city. The furnishings were modern and tasteful. The room was very comfortable, clean and beautiful. The room had everything we needed including a fully equipped kitchen. The location was perfect for our trip to the Air Canada Centre as well as our Christmas shopping excursions. The St. Lawrence Market was a quick walk and having the small fridge, microwave and stove helped us to enjoy our treats from the market! The staff was friendly and courteous. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to get away to the city for a few days.

The hotel room we were in needs to be renovated ie painting and hardwood need to be done and the shower stall floor was aged and yellowed and needs to be replaced.

We stayed in a 'lotus suite' which includes a kitchen - just grab some food from one of the nearby markets and enjoy! The shower is wonderful!

Good hotel, small lobby, the room I had was apartment style with a small kitchen, nice but not necessary. Area with the bed was pretty small, but comfortable. The incense and rocks were a nice touch but... **Please stop charging for wireless internet. This is something you get free in the streets and coffee shops. Include this in the price of the room. You already have the infrastructure - stop charging for what is essentially a utility these days. Many guests would prefer internet to many of the other free luxuries that come with a nice hotel - your guests value it, provide it for free! Stop giving a single daily newspaper and instead provide access to hundreds!**

Stayed here once before and had a BIT better room service, butit is still a lovely place to stay. Quiet block, close to amenities and the front desk staff is very informative. had to take the Subway for the first time alone and they helped me find the best rooute to my destination. They were very friendly and helpful. Mattresses could be updated a bit as mine felt pretty flat, but the sheets were wonderful. The shower grout was a bit mouldy but I suggested to staff to get somne Tilex and really scrub it. Shower was clean but not fun to look at black/grey grout and wonder. Having laundry facility in the suite is a lifesaver! Only had to pack half the stuff I would need for my trip cos i could wash my clothes mid trip. Was nice to only travel with a backpack. Definitely if you want a nice quiet place to stay for a little getaway and as a treat to yourself.. this hotel is awesome!

Great experience. We loved the "incense service" and the decor. However, in order to operate the elevator, you need your room card to make the elevator work. On several occasions, the card did not work and we got stuck on the elevator---not good. Other than the elevator issue, very very nice.

Overall a very good hotel and our Zen Suite was very comfortable. The only complaint I have is the lack of on-site parking. The only parking was valet at $33, which is way too steep for my taste. I parked down the street about a block for $13 overnight (Friday-Saturday) and would recommend that if you don't mind a short walk.

The room is significantly over-priced for what you get. The room was very small and cramped, and very disjointed. The kitchenette was in one area, the bedroom off in another, all down what felt like a very claustrophobic hallway. It basically didn't feel like a hotel room, but rather a poorly laid out bachelor condo/apt. Kind of the last condo that would be sold in a building because it's really just using up whatever space was left over. Shop around - this probably isn't the place to stay IMHO.

The Cosmo is much smaller in size compared to larger chains. The hotel is on a little known street but well situated in the downtown area for my needs. It is best to have a map and directions unless you really know your streets in the downtown area. My friend who lives in Toronto could not find it. Not far on King Street is a small market store open late for some essentials. The elevator lighting was too low for my liking, making it difficult to view the elevator panel. I understand they want you to chill but there is also functionality to consider. The elevator requires guests to swipe their room card in order to access the floors above. The card readers were quirky, often requiring multiple swipes. There are only a few rooms on each floor resulting in much less traffic and noise. The standard room is fairly large in size but because of the layout, a corridor and separation of the kitchenette from the bedroom, the size is somewhat lost in the overall perception. The washroom is great with the tiled shower and glass door. Real estate on the sink counter is very limited. The space to move around the bed is narrow. The floor to ceiling windows around the bed are amazing! My view outside was not the best but I still could see the upper portion of the CN Tower behind another building. The small wall mounted flat screen television is a cheap brand. The room lighting is quite flexible. The room had a narrow L shaped balcony for those craving the outdoors at 25 stories up. Yikes! The ac unit is loud in my opinion when trying to sleep and pushes the air directly towards the bed occupants! I had to turn it off during the night and could still hear the one operating for the next room. The air flow is strong enough to make the blinds move and you hear a regular clanging sound as the metal frame at the bottom of the blind hits the window frame. I had to pin the blind in place to prevent it from hitting. Easy fix but should not have to do it in the first place! The closet d

Our room was fine, large enough, little fountain, kitchenette. We had requested a King and they said after the fact they had only Queens. My main issue was that following our first night I slept poorly as there was a sofa bed sheet used as the bottom sheet on our queen bed, and it kept coming off the mattress all night and I kept waking up to find it bundled under my legs or wadded up in a lump or only partially on the bed. I wrote a note about this, and about a burnt out light bulb and that there was no hand lotion. I gave this to the front desk, very politely the morning after our first night stay, as I left the hotel at 9 am, and on returning at 11 PM discovered nothing had changed except that the bulb was replaced. I had to call room service who came and remade the bed with a proper sheet and gave me some lotion. I was tired and ended up feeling I should tip the blameless and nice man who came to fix the situation, when they had been notified in writing of the problem that morning but seemed to not talk to their cleaning staff. Additionally, no compensation or apology for our discomfort. They denied us the breakfast saying we had a low rate. I think they should have comped us a breakfast, when I handed them the note, instead we went out and found a meal elsewhere as we did not feel like giving them and more money since they were not obliging. The men at front desk were tacitern and dismissive, but the woman was apologetic, but did nothing.. I do think some customer care attitude needs work.

Nicely laid out well equipped little apartment which is well situated downtown. Service was variable from helpful enthusiastic front desk staff to a confrontational valet.The suite needs a bit of spiffing up but overall, the hotel was good for a weekend in town.

The staff was excellent with helping us navigate around Toronto for the first time. Anything we needed they took care of, however, disappointted in the suites. They were clean but looked like they were apts. or condos before. Very small bathroom and closets. There was a full kitchen which we did not need, good for someone staying for an extended amount of time but not for a vacation destination.

The stay was very nice. They upgraded my room and it was an amazing. Very clean and highly fashionated.

We stayed at the Cosmoplitan Hotel recently after checking out prices at Toronto B&B's - we discovered that this hotel was perfectly located downtown yet tucked away enough that it had a private and yet a cosmopolitan vibe! The Zen-like decor emitted a soothing and serene energy..bed was comfortable..we were surprised to find a small kitchenette..the room was so well layed out that it didn't feel small - compact yet functionable and non-clastrophobic. We loved this hotel...but don't start eating the muchies until you check the price list. Other than that..the room was inexpensive in comparison to others in the city considering the provisions that come with the room - there is even a yoga mat! We will definitely be returning and we have recommended it to several friends and family already.

WAS CANCELLED BECAUSE THE HOTEL COSMOPOLITAN, ONE I HAVE HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO EXPERIENCE AND APPRECIATE IN THE PAST WAS THEN RELOCATED, TO ANOTHER LOCATION AND ROOM WHERE WE FELT THE COSMOPOLITAN WAS STILL SUPERIOR. I AM INTERESTED IN MAKING A RESERVATION AND WOULD LIKE TO CONNECT WITH THE MOST APPROPIATE PERSON TO MAKE SURE MY FIANCE AND I EXPERIENCE OUR INITIAL CHOICE THE COSMO WITHOUT INVCONVINIENCES. Our stay at this hotel was good. The room was clean and had a great view from the 24th floor. The wine bar located adjacent to the lobby was a great place to meet up with others. On the flipside, drinks such as soda and snacks were a bit pricey in the rooms. Also, parking was by valet and an extra $37 dollar that you don't find out until you arrive. All in all however, we had a good stay.

This was my second stay at the Cosmopolitan Hotel and Residences. I really enjoyed everything about it. The hotel service was outstanding. The room and hotel itself has a very cool scene / vibe about it. It's also in a very good location (it's kind of on a side street so it's quiet, but in walking distance of downtown attractions). My only small complaint would be the cost to park. Overall my stay was great and would definitely recommend others to stay there.

A great experience. Well appointed, spacious and clean rooms. Courteous and genuinely friendly staff. All efforts were made to ensure the stay was pleasant. I will definitely be returning to visit this hotel.

People at the front desk was very friendly and they gave us free internet access even though it was extra charge. Hotel lobby was smaller than my living room. Rooms were small and the bed was practically taking the whole room. This hotel roo was advertised as hotel with a kitchen but there was only a bar fridge which was full of their own drinks. There was a kitchen but no table. They supplied the coffee but no creamer. After we used the tea on the first day, they did not replace it for the other days. On the last day of our stay there was only one bath towel for 2 people. For the price we paid, I would have expected a better hotel.

Decent hotel in a very central location of the financial district. About a 10-15 minute walk from shopping, and some good restaurants. Bed could have been a bit softer, and don't be fooled by the online pictures, these rooms are NYC-style tiny. You do get a kitchen, if that's something that you will use. Could be good for long stays, but there isn't really a grocery store close by that I can tell. For the price that I paid here, compared to other locations in the area, it was entirely worth it, and I would choose it again.

Great rooms (got free upgrade without asking) and great service in a fantastic location. My only criticism would be that the wireless internet is expensive ($12.50 per night) and incredibly slow.
