This hotel is literally in front of you as you walk over the Ponte Vecchio. Great place. Great breakfast. Nice staff

missed my paid for breakfast by 10 minutes and could not even get a free cup of coffee, had to pay for it after being sent upstairs then down stairs then back upstairs and staff acting very put out for having to make cup of coffee. Did not sleep for 3 nights due to outside street noice. Traffic and drunks singing all night going home. Clean sheets, toliet and tub. Walls and built in headboard very dirty. Breakfast area very nice with view but staff acts like they hate their jobs.

What a shame, a great location but such unhelpful staff. The rooms did not even have a plug so that you could use an electronic appliance because of the low voltage. The breakfast was served in the rooftop breakfast room with spectacular views but was marred by unfriendly staff and poor food. Next time we will search for something more comfortable.

The hotel says they have a view but it really only is from the terrace not from your actual room.... The room does have a small balcony which is nice and the room is pretty big. The location is great because it is near everything but we really thought we would have had a view. The breakfast was great and the staff was really helpful.

My wife and I started our honeymoon at Pitti Palace. It is literally right off the Ponte Vecchio and a quick walk to everything Florence has to offer. We were even given a free upgrade due to construction on the 4th floor. Can't beat that. The entire staff was amazing. The breakfast on the top floor had a breath taking view and the food was light and enjoyable to get you going on your day. If we ever make it back to Florence we are definitely staying at Pitti Palace again,

This hotel is in a great location, for exploring Florence. Right in the heart of the city. Breakfast is served on the top floor, with fantastic views of the cities rooftops, from several terraces. The breakfast was average, yogurt, cereals,breads,meats,cheese and preserves.

Ideal location. The room I was in was totally unsatisfactory for the money, not only outdated but shabby. I asked to change rooms but was told they are all the same. There are so many hotels in Florence, I think I would try somehwere else in the central area next time.

Pitti Palace was a fantastic place to stay, right beside the Ponte Vecchio Bridge and central to everything. Good breakfast & service upstairs while overlooking the city.

This is in a great location, but the hotel is in great need of updates. There are no drawers to put clothes away, carpet and linens need to be replaced, and if you have a car to park - it's expensive. The rooftop bar was very nice and you can't get any closer to where the action is.

This hotel is located in the city center so is perfect for exploring the city on foot. The rooms are very clean with good air conditioning.

This was my fourth Florence visit and by far the best location. Very convenient to the major sights and great restaurants. The staff is very helpful and there's always an English speaker around. The breakfast rooms on the top floor are terrific, and the staff paid attention to each arriving guest: "Buon giorno, bon jour, good morning, buenas dias..." Breakfast always included fresh fruit, different kinds of breads, ham and cheese. Coffee's from a machine. Elevator's small but plenty big enough that you don't have to lug your suitcase up any stairs.

This is a great little hotel with a fantastic location. This is the second time I've stayed here. The rooftop bar/restaurant offers fantastic views at breakfast but also evening views. The room had a sensor on the window however that stopped the AC from working when you opened it. Then it didn't come back on. Had to have the staff restart it twice. If they had told me why it was stopping I wouldn't have opened the window! Otherwise a great place to stay. 3 blocks from the Uffizi, Palazzo Vecchio and the Pitti Palace. Great location.

The saying location location location is what this place is. But dont plan on a soft comfortable bed. Views on the 6th floor at bkfst are magnificent.

During 6 day stay, we were very satisfied with the hotel room, breakfast and service.

This hotel is in a great location: just at the end of the Ponte Vecchio, but our room was very quiet. The breakfast buffet is very good and one may eat out on the rooftop with a wonderful view (but watch for the pigeons!).

While the Pitti Palace al Ponte Vecchio had a very favorable location right next to the Ponte Vecchio and by extension many of the other great landmarks around Florence, I believe that you would be better served staying at another place. For the same amount of money, you could find another hotel that was much nicer inside and only a little farther away. While I'm usually not too picking about the insides of hotel rooms, our was falling apart around the cracks and in the bathroom and I had a lot of time to analyze this as I spent the last three days of our time in Florence sick in bed with a high fever (103ish) and everything else you could imagine with a pretty serious stomach virus. To top things off, I am fairly certain that this illness was a direct result of the breakfast that was provided to us.

Nice hotell - very central almost on the bridge of Ponte Vecchio. Friendly staff and ok room. Quiet room for beeing so central.

Pleased with the position of the hotel at the end of the Ponte Vecchio bridge but the thing that let it down was the breakfast - not very organised and very boring - no variety at all and very plain.

Being 3 stars, I have stayed at better quality hotels. Rooms and bathrooms need a makeover. Toiliteries are not the best, should take your own. Good ventilation thru the bedroom window is a must, it must be open due to the musty smell when you initially enter the room. Will not stay again. Pillows gave me neck pains and soarness during my 2 day stay.

This hotel has a central location, extremely close to the Ponte Vecchio, but do not expect a room with a view if that is what you paid for. The hotel classes a number of rooms as such, and this really is using poetic licence to the extreme! Also be aware that most standard rooms are very pokey and in need of updating - many are also smoking rooms. The breakfast is minimal, although the cappucino is nice. I would not stay here again.

Location, location, location. Couldn't be better. Breakfast room has a view of the Palazzo Vechio and the Arno. Rooms are OK but who spends time in a room in Florence?

Fantastic location to see the sights and wonerful view over the city from the breakfast room. But thats it - rooms very badly need updated (although clean). Workmen smelling of alcohol were working in hall in two rooms which had been flooded across from room we were initially put in. My husband went to reception to get another room which we got eventually. Breakfast was very basic - cereal, ham, cheese, breads - best thing about the breakfast was the view! I adored Florence but not this hotel.

The position of this hotel provides easy access and fantastic views of Florence. Service was very good and friendly. Breakfast was the normal fruit, cereal, Croissants toast with plenty of supply. Would recommend this hotel to anyone. Not a bad word to say. Drining to Florence was probably not the best option as to park in the ZTL (Congestion Zone) adds to the cost approx 35Euros a day however once parked totally everything on your doorstep.

The location is perfect. 10 minutes walk from the main train terminal. Ponte Vecchio, the most fascinating bridge, is just steps away from the hotel. Hotel personnel were great. Phone calls from the Hotels to the Americas are extremely expensive..

Enjoyed our stay but our standard room was small, dark . very poor lighting facilities and the bathroom was squeezed into a corner with hardly space to get into the bath . As we were staying for nine days, we requested a better room and the helpful reception staff gave us a much bigger room with a spacious bathroom... bliss... but no mirror in the room except over the wash basin in bathroom . Excellent laundry service

The location of the hotel is unbeatable. The exit leads right onto the Ponte Vecchio. The room was average size. Queen bed, desk with large mirror, private bathroom with bathtub, closet, fridge, AC, flat-screen TV (including CNN) and safe. Medium size elevator for European standards. They can be tiny at times. Some reviews mentioned trouble with noise from the streets. We had no trouble, even though our rooms were on the 3rd floor right above the busy street below. I usually sleep with earplugs anyway. The AC was out in the entire hotel our last day, it was fixed the same day. There was a slight water leak from the bathtub when showering. Not a big deal. The breakfast/lunch area is amazing. Top floor on a deck. Great view to the Duomo and other towering buildings. There was no room service available when we called even though it was advertised in their in-room menu. The hotel booked a great one-day-Tuscany bus-tour for us. Overall, the hotel was a great choice for our 4-day stay.

A very pleasant hotel with friendly staff, a great view over the city from the 6th floor dining area and centrally located for the main sites. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

would defenately stay at this hotel again, fabulous breakfast on the terrace overlooking the roofs of Florence. Easy to find, just over the Ponte Vecchio.

The room was a bit cramped, but the location more than made up for it. The Japanese looking gent at he front desk was a reservoir of knowledge and helped us plan the rest of the trip. Than you!

Overall not a bad place to live for the price paid. Conveniently located in the center of city and places to see.

I read many of the reviews on Hotels.com before making a reservation for this hotel. Some were accurate, others were overdone. This hotel is one of the best values you can get in anywhere in Italy including Florence. The location is perfect. Right on the corner next to Ponte Vecchio which is where all the shopping begins. I read reviews that is is noisy outside. The hotel is in a busy area but it is only because everyone wants to be in this area. The rooms aren't filled with amenities and are not even large. But who goes to Florence and expects to spend a lot of time in your room? The breakfast out on the terrace is nice. The view is okay and not as grand as many reviews made it out to be. The buffet was definitely lacking anything tasteful except cereal but it was free. If you are looking for a place to stay that is affordable and in a great location, this is for you. If you want a high end romantic getaway, continue your search. I definitely recommend this hotel for affordability, value, and location.

Really enjoyed the experience at Vivahotel Pitti Palace Ponte Vecchio. The location was ideal for accessing the old city centre and surrounding locations. Highly recommend the hotel and the breakfast on the terrace was outstanding if nothing more than the view of the Duomo and surrounding city centre. Grazie Mille!!

This hotel is within walking distance to all historical sites within Florence. Very clean with good customer service.

This hotel was very convenient to almost everything we wanted to do. The room was satisfactory. The breakfast was wonderful and the setting was above nice. We would definitely stay there again and would reccomend this hotel to our friends.

I has stayed at a number of 3* Hotels in different parts of Italy over the years, and can say that this is without a doubt a very fine example in a great location. The staff are helpful and friendly and the rooms comfortable although perhaps a little small (it is 3*). Breakfast on the roof terrace was lovely

Go to Florence a lot as our daughter lives there. Stayed in many hotels and this is the best. Slick, friendly, efficient, beautiful terrace bar and a great location.
