Excellent hotel which is ideally located with very cooperative and helpful staff.superb breakfast.

This hotel is great for a weekend visit and quite a good value! An easy 10 minutes stroll takes you to downtown and probably 20 minutes to Villanova da Gaya and the port cellars. The furnishings are new and the staff very polite. There are few family owned restaurants on the same street with great local atmosphere

Excellent hotel with first class staff. Only criticism is poor impact sound resistance in floor between between bedrooms in rear extension. Sound of shoes on hard floor a bit annoying especially late at night or very early morning. Overall very pleasant stay.

Arrived late at night, took taxi to hotel, dont think it would have been too easy to find. Comfortable hotel. Miss hotels that do not offer breakfast.

The surrounding neighbourhood appears a bit dodgy especially if you arrive at night, but it contains some hidden gems in the form of restaurants and boutique shops, ask the very helpful reception staff for the best places to go.

Fabulous hotel right in the center of Porto, Portugal. Gallery street only hlf a block away, fantastic places to eat. The staff of the hotel very friendly and helpful. The breakfast fantastic, you could go with it till dinner time. If I ever go to Porto, which I most likely shall do, I shall definetely stay at Eurostars Das Artes.

Excellent hotel in a quiet neighbourhood not too far from the centre of the city and the Ribeira. Very helpful english speaking staff. Lovely clean minimalist rooms with everything you need. we stayed in a room in the new part of the hotel which overlooked the gardens of neighbouring properties and it was very quiet. Can't comment on breakfast as we ate in local cafes which were very cheap by other European city standards. Porto is a refreshing mix of river, coast, city and beautiful countryside if you venture out to nearby towns. recommendations include Aveiro, Guimaraes, Vila do Conde and it's not an unpleasent walk to Serralves Art gallery and the beach at Foz. port tours also a must-Taylors is an excellent choice.

We stayed for 10 days! eek! At first, just after booking our stay, I wondered if I had made a mistake. No I did not. The hotel was great. Breakfast was good especially for our 15 month old. Get the metro from the airport to the hotel. It is just a 20 mins journey on the metro. The metro card is rechargeable and reusable on most networks. The city was fantastic. There was so much to do and see and we did it all. The boat cruise, the Port tours; the ride on the funicular; the ride on the gondola(not the boat but the one like a suspended ski lift); the yellow bus tour, the red bus tour; the vintage tram network around the city; lots of cafe visits; lots of walking up the hill. Gosh the hills! If you don't like walks then you will probably struggle with the hills. We loved it. And of course, going to the beach in Foz, hanging out at the pier for a splash of the Atlantic Ocean; Enjoying lovely Portuguese food; Afternoon siestas at the hotel; Evening lie-ins with a bottle of wine and bad telly :-) We managed to do all this without a car and with a 15month old baby! First time in Portugal and we loved it. :-) We will most certainly be back for more joyous time in this fabulous country.

excellent comfortable and stylish hotel in quiet location from where you could walk to sea front in 20 mins. Taxi back uphill 4-5 euros. Comprehensive breakfast and good value bar. Decor very modern and classy.

Eurostars Das Artes is a pleasant, comfortable, modern facility with a friendly staff. It is difficult to find at first, but was easier once I got used to it. The location is close to museums and galleries, but a bit of a walk to the riverfront.

Everyone was very nice here. Free wifi. Parking additional 12E but worth it. I drove to the best restaurants in the area but there are some decent choices nearby, including the Michelin guide rated restaurant the concierge can tell you about. Loved my stay.

I stayed at this hotel with a group of friends. The hotel is modern, clean and comfortable. Rooms and beds were comfortable. Breakfast was great. Staff were friendly and spoke good english. The hotel was very quiet, no street or traffic noise. It's about a 20 minute walk down the hill to the river and the Ribeira area, which makes for quite a walk back up. There are plenty of bars and restaurants located around Cedofeita just five minutes away from the hotel.

The front desk agent was GREAT! He realized we were on our honeymoon and gave us a larger bed and took care of our breakfest! The river area and port houses were within walking distance, but you may want to cab-it on the way back due to the steep and long hills getting back. The breakfest had a great assortment of breakfest foods. The hotel itself was hard to find driving and the surrounding streets were a bit sketchy- but Porto seemed very laid back and safe. Bed was slightly hard. Overall, great hotel.

A lovely two night stay in this excellent hotel. Everything was just right for our two night stay: - a warm welcome - helpful and genuinely enthusiastic staff - nice comfortable modern quiet rooms - excellent beds and bedding - great healthy breakfast We'll be back.........

This four star hotel is ok comfortwise but very far from city center. It's in a ugly neighborhood and the staff is awfull. Wouldn't return, could have got a better place for less money.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Our room was comfortable and clean. We were able to walk all over from this central location.

The location is very nice with short walks to pretty much everywhere in the old city. The staff were very forthcoming and helpful, and the breakfast was the best I've ever had in any hotel anywhere! I'd stay there again only for that :)

The personnel at this hotel are marvelous. They speak English, are polite, friendly, very helpful, know the city so can give directions and recommendations, and are very watchful of the client's possessions. This was an excellent choice for us; within easy walking distance of everywhere.

Just spend one night but was very impressed by friendliness and professionalism of the staff. Took a flight out of Porto early in the am and the hotel arranged for a taxi pick up early in the morning and for a wake up call. The hotel has a warm feeling about it and reminds me of a "boutique" style hotel in the US. Will definitely stay there again.

A bit of walk down to the douro, but so worth it. Great hotel. Nice room, spacious, free (and high quality) wifi. A short cab ride or modest work to Ribera and villa nova de gaia. Cheap and decent dining on the corner and a minipreco down the street. I plan on staying here next time I return to porto.

Comfortable hotel, friendly staff. Location is not the best, but fairly close to airport metro and the main square.

Typically, hotel rooms fall short of the pictures displayed on the internet. We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived in this room. It was fantastic and comfortable. The staff were *friendly* as well as polite. There was an additional charge for the use of the off-street parking, but it was worth it. The hotel is even sign-posted! Two thumbs-up!

This hotel is an oasis in a strange neighborhood. Staff is extremely helpful, from restaurant recommendations to directions. Breakfast was delicious. Room was so clean and rather large. Bed was on the firm side and additional pillows would be nice, but it was a great hotel. Neighborhood seems to be up and coming. Kind of run down area overall, with some great finds interspersed - like this hotel. Not all that far from touristy things to do. Walked everywhere.

Our hotel room was spotlessly clean and the staff very helpful. We thought the breakfast was expensive but found some nice little restaurants in the neighbourhood. Once we found a little sidestreet ,the hotel proved to be quite close to the historic area. We thoroughly enjoyed walking around and exploring Porto ! I would stay at this Hotel again !!!

modern chic, excellent service, very good value for money. Two slight negatives: 1) the position of the hotel is slightly off pitch- its a good 15 min walk to the centre and 25 min down to the Ribiera 2) for some reason or other they undersupply pillows, and don't leave additional ones in the room The first they can do nothing about, but they could simply put extra pillows in the wardrobe to cure the second issue. But these are really picky points

What a surprise! A modern hotel with a a wonderful staff in a historic part of town in an old building (near rail station, book store, tower, etc.). Free wifi that actually worked. While there was a parking charge (12 euros/day) having parking in Oporto is a blessing - park and take cabs.

For the price, this hotel is a very good option in Porto. Clean, sound quality and professional service, but some hardness of the beds.

We were driving around Portugal, and had absolutely no probvlem finding this hotel. It happens to be listed on sign posts througout the city (this way to Eurostar). Staff was extremely helpful and friendlyt and welcoming. Room was very nice ... great view. Nice location. Excellent choice. Good price. No complaints. Porto is a beatifyul city ... one of the most beautiful I have ever visited.

The hotel was difficult to find as it is in a one way street and has no illuminated sign. We had to drive around the city twice and stop to ask assistance twice! I suggest you stop shortly after turning into the street and walk until you locate it. Once there the secure parking was good and the staff extremely friendly and helpful. The room was in the new part of the hotel, very clean, though no great views. It was a nice 30 min stroll down to the river and a reasonable taxi ride back. I would definitely recommend the hotel as good value for money.

Eurostars das Artes is one of the best experiences I've had at a European hotel. I've stayed at so-called 4-star hotels in other cities that were much pricier with tiny rooms and very loud accommodations. Eurostars das Artes was one of the cleanest, most modern, most quiet places I've stayed. (Note: I originally was given a room on the first floor, overlooking the street,; it was extremely loud, with people screaming, horns honking, dogs barking, and a constant flow of traffic. But I requested a quieter room, and they were very accommodating, moving me to a higher level floor in the back, away from the street.) In the end, I slept so well here. I applaud this hotel. Truly stands above the vast majority of other places!

I have only good things to say about this hotel. Good location, the rooms are new and comfortable, the breakfast buffet is fresh and delicious and the staff go the extra mile to please you. So, I highly recommend for anyone going to Porto.

Hotel is modern and extremely well maintained, we had a king size bed with a great bathroom and french windows facing the street which was very quiet at night. Initially on arriving it felt like it was a rather out of the way location, but after staying there two nights and starting to understand Porto's layout, realized the location was really quite good. To walk to the old city is downhill and an interesting walk, then take a taxi back for the uphill return. Taxis in Porto are cheap, only about 5 euros from Vila Nova Guia to hotel. Hotel price was excellent and we felt we got a real deal for what Eurostars das Artes offered. The hop on off bus, has two stops within a five minutes walk of the hotel, which is great to get an overview of the city. There are also several restaurants very close by, the ones that we tried were typical Portuguese, with great seafood and so very reasonable! If you are looking for a great value on a 4 star hotel in Porto, this is a good bet.

Large bedroom. Fresh fruit in the room. Great breakfast.

This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel and I have to say we really enjoy to stay there and now every time we go to Porto, which is about 3 times a year we look to stay there. The rooms are very modern in decoration and they are alwyas immaculate and well layed out. The first time we stayed there my only reservation was the surrounding area. But on closer inspection we have found some lovely restaurants and its also easy to get down to the River side for a beautiful view. For the quality of the room the price is amazing and i would totally reccomend it to anyone. If you are in a car it can be tricky to park in the surrounding streets but you can pay an extra to put it in the hotel underground car park. But on each occasion we have found a space on the street.

Beautiful modern hotel with free wifi. My only big complaint is the location. In Porto, where the hills are plenty and steep, I got tired of walking to/from the hotel to get to the interesting parts of town. Having said that, it was only about a 20 minute walk most times. It was really close to the Pallace do Cristal gardens, however. The breakfast was not included, and I did not partake. I also did not look for a fitness center, so I don't know if one was available. Besides the location, it was a fantastic stay at a great price.

What a great hotel. It is stylish, clean, and well located. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. We can't say enough good things about a memorable experience.
