Pacifica Motor Inn - باسيفيكا

Hotel was older, but in good condition. Updates had been done, and the rooms were LARGE! Location is very nice, and it would be a good place for a getaway with someone special.

This aging motel is nicely located near CA1 and only a block from the Pacific Ocean. However, it is falling apart and my room door rattled in the wind even when it was dead bolted... Since the closet door open such that it blocked the front door and provided some protection... but I was glad there was no emergency where I needed to get out of the room in a hurry... so overall, the room was overpriced, but location is really good.... so not so bad in the end..

the extra money for the ocean view was not worth it. it's definitely an older hotel but it served it's purpose.

The hotel was all that it claimed to be, convenient view room close to beach. It is a good family hotel.

The rooms were small and spartan. The furniture was worn and scratched. The elevator was very slow. We upgraded to a third floor room with an ocean view. This made the stay tolerable. If we had not prepaid I would have walked away.

The hotel was clean, and the room was large with a very comfortable bed, a large and clean bathroom, and an ocean view. The personnel were friendly and helpful, both on the phone and in person. We will stay again.

Got to watch guys surfing from my room in the morning. Hotel needs lots of paint. Dirty washcloth left by TV in my room when I checked in. Bed was comfortable enough.

Front desk person not friendly, room was old, bed was awful, only two pillows very small, two towels allowed for two adults, no bath mat, no toiletries. Paid more for ocean view but room location was not good. Overall the hotel was in bad shape.

While room did have ocean view as requested, the cleanliness was of question. Garbage can still had articles from previous visitor, bathroom had broken tiles, an air freshner behind toliet, and stains on chairs, ceiling in bathroom not completed. Outdated and in desparate need of attention. Outside of hotel very appealing, location convenient and no issues regarding safety; however, inside very undesireable.

We chose the Pacifica Motor Inn to stay for our one-night splurge before going to see the Giants play in San Francisco. It was easy to get to and from SF. The room was large, clean, and the bed comfortable. The Inn is slightly rundown, but it was quiet all night, even though we were next door to the elevator and the Inn was fairly full. We got down late for the continental breakfast the next morning, so there was not much left and seemed kind of meager anyway. But we got some juice and then hot chocolate and tea, and walked the 2 blocks down to the ocean. Even though foggy, it was very beautiful and later we walked along one of the many bike/walking trails. The whole area of Pacifica is gorgeous with many varied restaurants. All in all, a Nice Place to Stay!

We used this hotel as a stop on our way down the coast, so it served the purpose. It was clean, but not updated. Breakfast was coffee, juice, and very small pre-packaged pastries. The hotel clerk recommended Nick's for dinner, which was right behind the hotel, and the best meal we had on our trip.

Charming old building, semi interesting in itself. Water view room nothing special, the sea and beach not spectacular. A couple of nice eating places nearby. Rooms clean and tidy, everything works and looks to be staffed by the owners, nice and friendly.

Hotel was very old, no investment for the last 15 years I guess. Window was very dirty therefore the prepayment for the sea view was sensless. Location perfect, good connection to San Francisco (20 minuts to reach the Golden Gate). Wifi connection quite OK. Price did not match to the quality.

The staff was nice and the motel was a bit run down. Don't bother staying in a room without a view - it's a bit dismal. Rockaway Beach is not ideal for walking along, although the next intersection south is. There is a hotel at that intersection, although not as many as Rockaway Beach. The Best Western, at the intersection we stayed at, looks worthy of a stay.

Nice place to stay gr8 views rocks, cliffs, beach crashing waves, good local food, music, dancing all with in 2 blocks.. Just Like ARNOLD always said... I'll Be Back...

The only reason why we stayed at this place is because it's less than half a block away from the beach and approx 20 - 25 minutes to downtown S.F., depending on traffic. This place is old, worn down and in major need of updates. The room was dim and if they would update the comforters to some brighter colors it would probably make the room appear much brighter. Hmm where should I start? Okay on a positive note we had an ocean view room located on the 3rd floor. It would have been the perfect view if there wasn't a run down motel in the view and if they would clean the windows. All in all, it was nice waking up in the mornings to the sound of the waves hitting the shore and the nice smell of the sea. Now down to the room details. The first thing I do when I enter a hotel room is look in the bathroom to ensure that it's clean. The bathroom was outdated and could use major renovations. The bathroom door was hard to open and close. No big deal. What was a big deal to me was the fact that there was still hair on the floor from the previous guest I suppose. Completely disgusting! Luckily I had some disinfecting wipes with me and I used them on the floor before my boys were allowed in the bathroom. This may sound like a bit much to some people, but I would rather be safe than sorry especially when it comes to my kids. There was four little packets of shampoo and a couple of travel size soap bars. I would suggest that you bring your own shampoo/conditioner. Clean, fresh smelling towels and wash cloths were provided. If you're like me and blow dry your hair after a shower I would highly suggest that you bring your own hair dryer. There is a hair dryer hanging in the bathroom that is very old. Looks like it's as old as the hotel itself. It blows very light air and it will take you a good 30 minutes or more (depending on the length of your hair) to completely dry your hair. The bed sheets appeared to be clean, but the pillows were horrible! Flat as pancakes...no joke! Brin

For the price of the hotel, you are paying for the view and location, not the quality of room. It has a great location easy tom get to the ocean and walking paths. Nice facility, but great location.

The personnel were great, very helpful and considerate. The tub/shower area could stand a remodel and it would have been great if a coffee pot were in the room. Continental breakfast was a prepackaged sweet roll, not great. The view was terrific.

The hotel is not fancy,but its clean and well maintaned. The pillows suck..and the bed spread has to replaced. these are my only negative thoughts. The location was super. The front desk was happy and very helpful to how to excess the net and get around area.

we got what we paid for a nice clean room with a beautiful view of the ocean and listened to the breakers at night. I would gladly stay here again.

A very pleasant stop on our trip

This was a last minute booking for my husband and I and we made it for just one night but I would have to say the 'overall' rating for this Hotel was very nice.... The View was Amazing!!!!

The Hotel was clean and quiet. love the ocean view! Would stay there again just because the view. The price was great for the location.

The location was great. Close to the beach, and the ocean view from the 3rd floor was spectacular. I personally love Rockaway beach and come here at least three times a year. For the price, this hotel stay was great. If you are looking for a decent room at bargain prices, this is your place. If you are looking for a ritzy stay, this may not be your ideal location. The hotel room had the appearance of age, however it was very clean. What I mean is that the furniture, carpet, bathroom tiles and floors were 70's decor. Not appealing to the modern eye, but still very clean. Like I said in the title, a great room for the price. The bed was just fine for a few nights, but I wouldn't recommend sleeping on it for a week as it was very firm and bouncy. The room had a little fridge, a microwave, a dresser, two night stands, a table and two chairs. It included a mounted hair dryer, an iron, some hangers, and a baggage holder. The soap, shampoo/conditioner they provide is not enough for two people, and I would recommend brining you own. Especially since the water in the area is very hard water, you will need more than normal conditioner, and lotion for your skin if you get skin irritation easily. The water pressure was decent. I’ve had worse water pressure in a more expensive Hotel. There was no smoking allowed in any of the rooms, which is ok by me. I was able to smoke out on the front patio and place my butts in a nearby receptacle. The room had a 27 inch Zenith TV (Tube TV) with a satellite receiver that had all the local channels and some HBO channels. The windows were updated with double pane glass and held in the heat well. The heater and AC unit had a thermostat that worked accurately. When we opened the windows we were able to hear the waves crashing against the rocky shore. This hotel was in a great location to enjoy both the city life and the serenity of the beach. Unfortunately the hotel was not what I was expecting. The rooms where in poor condition, the carpets where very dirty and thinning in high traffic areas. The bed was hard as a rock and needs to be replaced. When I asked for extra pillows the staff at 6:30 p.m. the staff took 2 hours to finally give them to my room and even then I had to go down to the office which had closed during my wait and I had to use the after hours phone, and it was obvious that the staff didn't want me to have extra pillows. The hotel was in the perfect place 15 minutes from San Francisco and about 5 minutes from beautiful beaches.

My first day at this hotel, I came back to a hot and muggy room. The hotel staff had turned off my air conditioner and opened my window. If I had wanted to experience the great outdoors, I would have skipped the hotel and brought my tent. It has been almost two weeks and I am still fuming over this behavior. I complained to the front desk and got noise, but no action. So if you think the hotel staff should decide what temperature and humidity your room should be, this is the place for you.

Bed was extremely old and uncomfortable, microwave was malfunctioning, room/hotel was old and dated. The pictures on the wall were faded and you could barley see them. But the oceanview and location were great. This place has potential, just needs some updating.

This place is not bad for the price. Especially considering how close you are to the beach. The rooms could use a little maintenance. This coming from a construction guy. But overall, not bad. My only complaint is the parking. Very limited.

Rooms are large and clean. Hotel people were helpful and pleasant to work with. Visitor center just across the street which was very helpful with our planning of the daily events and sites within the San Francisco area.

There is parking, but only if you have a tricycle. The parking spaces are so very tight that I highly suggest parking on the street. No coffee in the rooms. This motel overcharges for 1950's decor.

Good quiet location. Not a great bargain, but it's close enough to the city and still offers ocean view.
