This hotel is centrally located, beautiful and, most importantly, very helpful service! Recommend!

Everything about this hotel is just great. The only thing to complain about would be if you get a room towards the street - the beer house is on the other side of the street and makes a lot of noise during the nights.

Loved this place - the old city and the hotel. Staff were so helpful and friendly. They answered all the things I had wanted to know on arrival before I asked. The room was sweet with a sunken bedroom and overlooking the courtyard. Really comfy bed. Very quiet. Very happy!

very nice hotel right in the heart of Old Town. Modern design was interesting in the old building setting. Room was spacious, bed was large and very comfortable. Clawfoot bathtub in room was nice, but no shower. Access to a very nice sauna, which can be reserved for private use. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We took a cab there, but unclear where one would park if one drove. Would definitely stay there again, preferably in the summer ... Tallinn is cold in the winter!

Hotel and its premises were nice. Clean, lovely bathroom and great courtyard. Sauna area a bit strange. Quality of service, well as we experienced everywhere in Tallinn, it is not a high priority to Estonians.. So we tried not to take it personally. Please and thank you or any real service culture did not excist in the hotel. It was more: who are you, what do you want now? Which was a put of for us.

Everything about the hotel is great. I stayed at 2 different rooms and they are all great. The location is perfect; right in the center of Old Town, and the staff is amazing with great advice in particular about the best restaurants to visit. The only negative is the stairs. There is no elevator (like 90% of the hotels in old town) so this may be an issue for older people.

Great location that is 1/2 block from the Old Towne Square and wonderful breakfast. Rooms could use an upgrade since they are very tired and a bit dreary, but this is offset by the location in the certer of the Old Towne and the charm of the area. Also, hotel staff very helpful and accomodating in making any arrangements or recommendations, providing instructions etc. Hotel is adjacent to a wonderful restaurant!. We arrived by Ferry from Helsinki (Linda Line)and were able to walk from port - about 20 minutes.

Very nice and cute hotel with excellent location right in downtown only a few steps from town hall. Only thing you should note is there in no elevator, but hotel staff is always willingly to give a hand. We enjoyed it so much.

We stayed at the Merchants House for 2 separate nights in August. The rooms were large and clean, the old town location was perfect, and the hotel staff was helpful and friendly. The only downside was that each night, the air conditioning didn;t work in the room in which our daughters stayed. (The AC was fine in our room). If it hadn't been for that, the hotel would rate a 5.

This is a great hotel in a great location, I will however have to recommend you to look elsewhere if its Hot outside (No A/C in some rooms).

This hotel is in an excellent location just minutes from the Old Town Square. The room we were allocated was very small and whilst the decor was pleasing the overall condition of the decor was disappointing. e.g. scuffed paintwork, stain on the curtains etc. The public areas of the hotel were very well maintained. The staff were friendly on the whole (we encountered a rather rude waiter but he was definitely the exception). I would stay at this hotel again if there was the possiblity of a larger room.

Well positioned just off the main square with many restaurants and bars in the surrounding area. All the main sights are within walking distance and the bus stop for the airport was about 5 minutes away. Hotel staff friendly and helpful. Good hot and cold buffet breakfast available with free internet access in the lobby. Good base for exploring Tallinn.

My wife was a little sceptical about travelling to Tallinn but this hotel eased her mind about the town. It is in a great location with nice modern decore in an old town building. This meant that the hotel didn't have a lift, but the staircase, built from stone was nice and wide. The rooms were clean and well maintained and the decore was nice. Our room was a tad on the small side but it was ok to move around with our luggage. The restaurant was nice and had some character as it was located in the basement with arched ceilings and the lobby was comfortable with an open fire place. A great choice for a short stay to explore Tallinn.

Merchants House Hotel in Tallinn is excellently located, in the heart of the Old Town. Staff are friendly and helpful, and speak excellent English. The hotel has an interesting layout, and some very attractive reception areas. Our room, although very comfortable in terms of bed, furniture and appearance, was uncomfortably small, Shower was excellent. Tea and coffee were supplied after we had asked for them, but not replenished the following day. Wi fi access and internet access in the hotel reception area were a bonus. Overall, a lovely hotel to stay in, with charming staff.

Situated in the old part of town surrounded by simular buildings, a really good location. Large rooms with adequate furnishings and those essential extras. One or two items slightly jaded but overhaul nothing serious. The reception staff were always very helpful with nothing too much trouble for them. Would go again.

Very nice boutique hotel. The bathroom of my room was a bit small and didn't have so much space to lay my stuff on the basin. Breakfast is really good even though there is a small selection of food. Maybe a bit over-priced for what offers and considering it is in Tallinn.

We stayed at the Merchants House Hotel July 2009 for our trip in Estonia. This hotel/area was one the highlights of our Scandinavian vacation. Positives: The location is so close to the central square in the old town that it takes 30 seconds to get there. The hotel room was very large for European standards, the bed was also large and comfortable, and there was a nice flat screen TV with tons of channels. There was also free wired Internet in the room, and the staff couldn't have been nicer. The room had a great air conditioning system, and the staff was friendly. Negatives: None really, the breakfast was only OK. If you are staying in Tallinn, I recommend this hotel.

Fellesrommene var meget pene, betjeningen hyggelig, og hotellets beliggenhet helt suveren - bare noen skritt fra Rådhusplassen midt i gamlebyen. Rommet svarte ikke helt til forventningene. Det lå litt under bakkeplan, var ikke spesielt stort, men det var rolig. Det luktet litt fuktskade på badet.

Kiva hotelli, todellla hyvällä paikalla. Ystävällinen ja mukava henkilökunta.

Flott hotell. Kan absolutt anbefales. God service, blid personell.

Fint hotell veldig nær rådhusplassen. Litt irriterende at taxien ikke kunne kjøre helt til døren, da hotellet ligger i fotgjengersone. Rent og pent, enkel og god frokost. Personlig syntes jeg det var morsomt at hotellet er i samme lokaler som en restaurant/bar jeg pleide å frekventere for 16-17 år siden.

Sijainniltaan erittäin hyvä, rauhallinen ja hiljainen paikka. Vuoteessa oli hyvä nukkua, varustelu huoneessa oli hyvä:saunatakki, pyyhkeitä, tossut yms. Aamiaisella tuoreita hedelmiä, erikseen tilattava, lämmin aamupala maistui. Henkilökunta koostui iloisista ihmisistä.

Vinterferie i Tallinn på Merchants House Hotel var helt fantastisk. Hyggelig og svært behjelpelig betjening og skikkelig god frokost gir et veldig godt inntrykk. Hotellet ligger sentralt i gamlebyen, bare 2 minutter å gå til Olde Hansa restaurant som er kjent for god mat og middelalderstil. Hotellet har egen sauna gratis for hotellets gjester, men man må bestille tid. Vi bestillte ryggmassasje og ble veldig fornøyde. Vi bor mer enn gjerne på dette hotellet igjen og kan trygt anbefale det:-) Renholdet var også bra!!

Das Zimmer war sehr geräumig, das Bett komfortabel und bequem. Das Bad verfügt über eine moderne große Badewanne. Leider haben die Zimmermädchen eher schlampig geputzt. Spinnweben an der Decke nur als Beispiel. Unser Zimmer hatte beim Bett ein Fenster, was prinzipiell von Vorteil ist, wäre da nicht vor dem Fenster die Treppe zum Nachbarzimmer. Da mein Flug zeitlich in der Früh ging, bekam ich dennoch ein solides Frühstück vom Portier zubereitet und serviert. Gesamt gesehen, kann ich das Hotel wirklich empfehlen es hat wirklich flair

L'hôtel se compose de deux parties distinctes : les salles communes dans un bâtiment classé monument historique et les chambres dans un bâtiment relativement récent construit dans la cour arrière. Pour l'instant, d'importants travaux devraient permettre d'augmenter considérablement le nombre de chambres. Ils devraient se prolonger jusqu'à fin 2012 dans un immeuble annexe qui donne sur la même cour, il vaut mieux le savoir avant. L'ensemble de mon séjour dans cet hôtel est beaucoup mieux que satisfaisant.

Hotellet ligger i en av gatene som går ut av hovedtorget i gamlebyen. Ble meget overrasket over hvor sentral beliggenheten var. Det går ikke an å kjøre helt inn til hotellet, men de har parkering et par hundre meter fra hotellet. Rommene var rene og fine med veldig koselig innredning og stor dobbeltseng. Internett var inkludert men parkering var dyrt (19 euro per dag for uteparkering). Området er generelt sett dyrt, men restaurantene rett utenfor hotellet har vanvittig god mat og litt fornuftigere priser enn restaurantene på torget. Det var ikke langt å gå for å komme seg til et kjøpesenter og for sightseeing var man på rette plassen.

Vi är jättenöjda och bor gärna där igen, priset är högt snarare på grund av läget än kvaliteten, det börjar synas att det är några år sedan renoveringen, men absolut inte ofrächt. Trevlig personal, bra service. Vill man uppleva gamla stan går det inte att bo bättre. Vi bodde in mot gården, tyst och lugnt.

Ett mysigt hotell mitt i Gamla stan i Tallinn! Servicen på hotellet var utom denna värld, jag är berest och har inte träffat på mer hjälpsam personal någonstans i världen. Jag rekommenderar detta hotell varmt!
