This is probably one of the best hotels I have stayed in, the cleanliness of the room and comfort were very good. Only slight niggle was the shower was a bit weak in terms of pressure and temperature!

My Wife and I had a great weekend break at this Hotel, will definately stay there again.

Here's a rare thing - a hotel with great staff, from front desk to bar to waiting, clean comfortable rooms, great food, great wine, and a great atitude. All in one package. Made for a great weekend stay.

Efficient, nice rooms (albeit small for two people on the entry level category), expensive but good breakfast, excellent concierge (very helpful) and great location. What really annoyed me was the reception and the breakfast room staff. All are staffed by foreigners whose english is still not quite fluent in many instances and sometimes if you ask for something beyond the ordinary, their first reaction is "can't be done" when in fact you're only asking for a pair of scissors to borrow or a safety pin. The breakfast staff did not get the order properly and had to call her supervisor to understand what I asked, and in peak check out times, they staffed the front desk with a person who indicated she was new and could not understand basic situations such as trying to pre-pay the room rate. Thrice they kept saying " I am sorry I am new so please wait until my colleague finishes" - sounds like the HR policy is to flood it with temporary workers .....

Staff were extremely warm and welcoming from the minute I arrived and couldn't do enough to help. The bed was really comfortable and large even though I was only in a standard room. It was very conveniently located for the underground station. WiFi was free and worked perfectly. I really enjoyed my stay even though it was short.

We got a room facing a back court, and there is only a half-height window in all this kind of room (50% possibitlity), that makes we feel imprisoned in a small cage. The light in the room is also somewhat dim with all lights turned on. Compared with the nearby hotel named double tree by Hilton we lived the day before, we are totally disappointed.

This was our first overnight stay in London as tourists. Couldn't have picked a better location with The Tower on our doorstep and the tube no more than 5 minutes away giving access to anywhere in the city. The hotel was very clean and the staff were extremely helpful from start to end of our visit. Will certainly recommend to friends and will be returning again in the future. Thanks for everything.

The hotel is clean, comfortable, and modern and the staff were friendly and efficient. Only slight minus is that it's not quite in central London, but it's right by a tube station, and so was never an issue for us.

Love this hotel! Exceptional rooms & polite staff. Great location next to the tower of London. We picked up a boat pass & were able to get around quite easily. Free internet is a plus. This has become our go-to hotel when staying in London.

Great hotel. Really close to underground and main line trains. Hotel is decorated to high standard. We had a very comfortable room. Bathroom had bath and shower to choose from. Staff friendly and helpfull. The only downside were the prices in the bar and restaurants. This wasnt a major issue as plenty of places near by for affordable food and drink.

two block from the tower of london and from the nearest tube station (circle line!). top quality, business oriented, friendly staff, good restaurant. rooms are new, good sized, but no view. have no doubts about stayng at the Apex City

Stayed here the first weekend in December with my girlfriend for a Christmas weekend break. Excellently located across from the tower of london and 1 minute walk to Tower Hill tube station. Staff were very friendly. Requested early check in and was given a pleasent ground floor room. Room itself was well furnished with comfortable sofa, massive flat screen tv and a dvd player. Complimentary tea and coffe as usual with hot chocolate and biscuits as well which was a nice touch. overall a very pleasent stay and would stay again if re-visiting London.

This two-day stay confirmed my previous overnighter. Excellent all round. This will be my rwegular twice-monthly hotel in London from now on provided they continue to provide the same level of excellent service.

I have to say that this hotel went above and beyond my expectation. The room was FAB!! Food amazing! Location speechless...

Having stayed at the Howard Hotel several times a month for the last 5 years I was anxious to find a suitable replacement folowing its recent closure. Bullseye! The Apex in Seething Lane has done just that. Top-notch in every respect. I am not easily satisfied but truly there was nothing to criticise. Location is perfect for City business and the soft ambience within the hotel is excellent. Three separate stays within 10 days says it all.

The only disappointment I had in this hotel was that the room was dark and found it hard to see to apply make up.

I will definitely consider staying again when visiting London. We stayed from Fri-Sun for a weekend out, have no complaints whatsoever.

From Canada for 4 days. Usually stay closer to Covent garden. This time chose this apex. Good price Have stayed at apex hotels before Pluses: wifi included and this can cost £15 plus in London. Large room we were upgraded to delux with couch. Great size. Quiet area on weekends nothing open a 15 mins walk to tube Bank, as circle and district close. Bathroom shower and separate big bath. Usual amenities pringles and jelly beans, free bottled water fizzy and plain each day. Very helpful staff Dinner was lovely and reasonable. Small restaurant Cons: a bit quiet on weekends for anything outside hotel to eat. Breakfast stupid expensive and really not great £15-19 per person. Would stay there again ina heart beat as it's on tower hill tube during the week and a 15 mins walk to ? bank on central line on weekends. Right near tower of London and a very quiet location

We stayed with friends to celebrate a birthday up in London. The hotel was gorgeous, a fantastic lady on check in and a lovely lady on check out. WE run a hotel in Cheltenham so it is always a busmans holiday! So lovely to find a hotel in the City with smiling happy staff. the only one draw back a really rude man in the bar who asked us to move from a table (in an empty area bar one other table!) as he needed to set up for dinner at 4.00pm! WE asked if we could sit there and move if he needed the table as we had just arrived and checked in and been in the car for hours and wnated to sit in the comfy arm chairs but NO - there was no movement on his attitude or his face. It was a shame as this attitude continued and the drinks took ages to come, I looked up to the right where the staff were chatting by a door and I could see our drinks on the tray! WE then got charged for 3 bottles of champagne when we had only had two and it took over a week for a refund to be credited to the card. So hotel staff and hotel 10 out of 10 - rude man in the bar that spoke bad English out of 10.

Hotel rooms are very big, especially compared to majority of the London hotels. Room and bathroom were very clean. Loction could be a bit better, but hotel compensates that.

We recently visited london and this hotel was superb, staff friendly, room constantly tidied and lovely interiors, tower bridge only a few steps away and hop on hop off buses leaves from here, also the river cruise departs from here, tube station only few steps away also but closed for repair the weekend we were there. Also shops and bars close at 6 but we werent going out in that district as its more a financial district. I would definately stay here again.

This may be the best room I've ever had in a moderately priced hotel in London. The location, at Tower Hill, isn't convenient very to night life, but it's walking distance to the tower of london, tower bridge, and Tate Modern. All in all, a great deal.

Close to tube, helpful staff, quiet, clean - modern. Arrived after midnight and was able to get roomservice within 30 minutes.

Stayed at Apex for 2 nights.Had great stay.Great position in city for sightseeing and close to tube station. Wonderful room, great big bed and shower, helpful staff. Didn't eat there but would imagine that would be good too. Excellent weekend would (and have) recommend this hotel to anyone

Very convienient to Underground and Tower Bridge and all the lovely restaurants there. Absolute silence at night time, best nights sleep in a long time! Didn't eat in the hotel so cannot comment on that element but friendly helpful staff made the visit very enjoyable.

Located in the square mile of the City very close to the Tower and Tower bridge ideal for tourists only downside is shortage of storage for clothes only enough for short stay

Everything was fine and they are look very nice. There only two tiny small things we need to point out: 1. One of the reason we stay in this hotel was they provide Free Wi-Fi. However, my ipod can connect to it, but would not be able to check email, browsing etc. Very frustrating. I am not sure whether they should do some about it. Thank God, there is a pub just down the road provides free Wi-Fi anyway. 2. All the decoration inside the room are very good. However, we found the mattress and the pillow are too soft. There is part of the mattress's edge was broken. Apart from that, everything was fine.

Chose this hotel for it's convenience and comfort for a one night stay - and was not disappointed. I had everything I expect of a top class hotel, spotless facilities, friendly and efficient service, and a quiet backwater location within a few minutes walk of the nearest tube station - very welcome after a long day and checking in late at night! I had no time for breakfast, but the in-room menu had a large selection to cover all tastes, and the restaurant looked clean and welcoming. I will definitely look no further than this hotel for my next stay! Great value for money and highly recommended.

Great location, excellent hotel. Very clean and accomodating. They upgraded my room which was a wonderful surprise. Even thought to ask me if I needed to order a taxi when I received my wake up call. I've stayed here a handful of times and couldn't be more pleased. A colleague stayed at another hotel nearby and had a difficult experience, which made me even more appreciative of mine! Steps away from the Tower of London and the Thames.

The hotel was really great, which is what we had expected based on the website. Often this is not the case however it definitely was this time. The room was extremely comfortable and spacious, which is often not so with London hotels. It is close to many of the mot wonderful London sights - Tower of London (crown jewels etc), Tower Bridge, St Paul's, Tate Modern, Globe Theatre, The South Bank beside others. Being close to the city is fantastic, as it is not touristy. It was also a different experience for us as we usually stay in the SLoane Street area.

The hotel was extremely comfortable and well appointed. As frequent visitors to London we usually stay closer to Sloane Square and the West End, staying close to the City was a wonderful change. Being so close to the Embankment is great as we tend to walk a lot. The hotel is really close to a lot of the major sights, The Tower, Tower Bridge, Tate Modern, River Sight Seeing cruises, The Globe theatre, The South Bank and many others. Overall a great experience and a wonderful hotel to stay at. I would definitley recommend this hotel

Stayed in Dec 2009 for vacation. Great hotel, spacious, clean, modern looking. Nice little touches like free bottle of water everyday and free wifi. Great service, very polite and helpful front desk. Seems like the climate control wasn't too effective, I could never get the room warm enough. Location wise is OK given the ease of access to the tube, but most famous sites are on the western side of London. Only major tourist site close by is the Tower Bridge and Tower of London. Lots of the restaurants around this area of town do not serve dinner in the evenings, only drinks, caters to the office workers during happy hour.

Great location for the city, although it can be quiet in the area on the weekend.

It was very convenient for sightseeing up to parliament square , st.Pauls, Tower Bridge and T of L. Very tucked away but close to cheap pub and nice food restaurant. Close to tube. Could walk along river to lots of places. Very good service, very helpful people. Will stay again.
