I had a lovely time there and have only praise for the Hotel Bernini

Outstanding hotel in the perfect location to experience everything Florence has to offer. The Bernini Palace is a great value for the high quality of the hotel. I would absolutely stay here again when we return to Florence.

Loved this hotel!! I didn't think I would because it appeared somewhat stuffy and baroque. And I don't know if we caught a good price but it was on par with other more expensive hotels. The breakfast staff and one desk/concierge man in particular were wonderful - very helpful and courteous. They would help you with any request. The included breakfast was a delicious feast - large array of hot and cold items, eggs, meats, vegetables, cheeses, many juices, several kinds of milks (soy, almond, etc), pastries, coffee, cappuccino - completely worth any up charge. The rooms are formally decorated but very nice. Ours was a bit on the small side but very comfortable and the bathroom was large/modern. Turn-down service with chocolates was a plus. Good location, very close to Ponte Vecchio, Loggia dei Lanzi, Uffizi, Piazza della Signoria (Palazzo Vecchio and Gucci museum), Florence Cathedral, and Basilica of Santa Croce. About a 9/10 euro ride from train station. I would stay here again.

We loved this hotel. Staff were wonderful and accomodations lovely. It use to be a Parliment building a few hundred years ago. The breakfast room was where they held meetings, it was gorgeous, and the food was good too. The lobby was huge for Italy and the bar service great. Concierge were very helpful in getting you where you need to go. They hire lots of drivers to take you out to the country or where ever you want to go where the trains and buses don't go. Get a driver if you have more than 3 people. It's a better deal than a tour. Excellent hotel! I would stay there again.

Everything was excellent. Staff friendly and very helpful.Only issue was size of one person room,very small but otherwise first class. Breakfast was also excellent.

Can't say enough about the helpful staff, beautiful rooms and large bathrooms. The comfortable lounge area and bar were also great. The location perfect. Have stayed in one other hotel in Florence which while the same price did not measure up to the Bernini Palace for rooms or location. If we get back to Florence this is where we will stay.

Hotel Bernini Palace was beautiful! The service was prompt and helpful, the location was ideal, close to all must-see sights, but in a quiet location, not a busy thoroughfare. My only complaint was that the heating system was set so that my room could not be cooled at all and it was consistently at 20-25 degrees celcius, so warm that I had difficulty sleeping at night. Also, it wasn't until I talked to the third person at the front desk that I found out that it couldn't be changed. Other than that (which was kind of big as I get grouchy when I don't get enough sleep 6 nights in a row), everything was first class.

My mother and I stayed here in Oct and couldn't have been more pleased with how lovely the Classic room was. Very clean with a luxurious spa sized tub. Breakfast was good. They had prosecco for mimosas, and even had a few gluten free options. The location couldn't have been more convenient. I would definitely stay here again.

Booked 3 nights in the "Deluxe" section - check in and entered a room that smelled a little bit like sewage - the windows faced in internal courtyard/sounounding buildings with no view - But nice room. Inquired about a new room and they gave us one on floor two facing externally with a beautiful view of the town . It was the nicest room in the hotel and was a beautifully appointed. - high ceilings, nicely decorated and spacious. Breakfast was brilliant - meats, cheeses fruit and impeccable service - just don't show up late (after 10:30am). Best hotel location possible as close to the center of town as you can get. Valentina and the entire staff offered perfect service and she booked two beautiful tours for us. Would highly recommend this hotel - just ask for and a room with a view to the external side of hotel.

Excellent location - 5 mins to the Uffizi Gallery and Ponte Vecchio in one direction and 5 to the Duomo group in the other. Train station 15-20 mins walk. We to a taxi to the hotel on arrival because of the torrential rain. Taxi was just under €8. Staff were attentive from the moment we stepped out of the taxi - door opened, suitcases taken, checked in and shown the main rooms of the hotel and to out room. We had a classic double room. Plenty of storage, in-room safe, immaculately clean, towels changed twice daily, bedding daily, plenty of toiletries, slippers by the bed and chocs/sweets at bedtime. Only slight negative is the bathroom - needs a better shower enclosure to prevent leaking although there is a spare towel rolled up on the floor to soak up the leak. Extractor fan is useless but I've found this to be true in the majority of hotels. Positive - breakfast. The staff make the hot drinks -excellent cappuccino and espresso. The buffet:- fruit juices, water,sparkling wine, yoghurts, 3 cereals, prepared fruit, whole fruit pieces, Italian cheesecake, sponge cake, croissants, cream filled croissants, blackberry crostata, a couple of other pastry items, scrambled/boiled eggs,bacon, prosciutto, ham, turkey, mozzarella balls, cherry tomatoes, grilled peppers/courgettes, sliced bread, bread rolls, crackers, cheese, butter, jams, honey and Nutella. Check out was smooth and we left our cases with the staff so we could enjoy a proper last day.

The place was more than what I was expecting for. It look really nice. Really good breakfast buffet, great location. I highly recommend it.

This is a great hotel and would highly recommend it. The location was perfect, really couldn't have been better - was only a couple of minutes from all the major sights. Room was lovely, very clean and service excellent. Breakfast was very nice. Only down side was limited options on room service but with so many nice restaurants so close this wasn't much of a problem.

Great hotel one block away from the Palazzo Vecchio and 2 blocks from Santa Croce. Has a Jacuzzi on a roof terrace. Very helpful concierge. Would go back anytime.

Great staff, service, room (only a bit small), very decent breakfast (bacon, eggs, cheese, amazing coffee, etc), and I think just about the best location you can find, especially for the money. I would stay here again.

Old style charm, very italian. Right in the heart of florence.

Hotel has a lot of attractive design touches and well maintained. Breakfast service is impeccable. Rooms are small, but not any more than rooms in Europe in general. Right in the heart of the main town center. Close to Uffizi and other attractions. All things considered, very pleased with hotel and service.

Overall, the stay was prett average. Great location and close to all the major attractions in Florence. The staff was fairly helpful with requests. The main issues I had were with the cleanliness of the rooms. It's pretty clear the hotel went under a recent renovation and skimped on some items. The finishings look cheap (paint was off, fixtures were plastic, mold in bathrooms) and it's clear the hotel is trying to be something it's not. The overall decor was tacky and I had a mosquito problem in my room (woke up with bites and management was not helpful). This place is not a 4 star hotel as its classified, but probably closer to a 3 star hotel. For the amount paid, I would look elsewhere.

We were extremely well pleased with the location, quality, decor, and service offered by the Bernini Palace. Even though we were staying in the center of the action - adjacent to the Palazzo Vecchio and Uffzi Gallery and just a block or two from the Piazza della Signoria and Ponte Vecchio - we found our room to be exceptionally quiet and comfortable. We found the breakfast buffet to be excellent and the service outstanding. We had especially good service from Bartolo, who was both a bartender at the lounge off the lobby and a maitre d' at the breakfast buffet.

The hotel was about one block away from the Palazzo Vecchio. The room was well appointed, with a view of the Doumo. The hotel has an excellent breakfast in a beautiful and historic diningroom. The staff was very professional.

Very good location for the key features of the city. Safe, clean, a helpful staff, plenty of nearby eating options. We, 60 year old married couple, would go back.

Overall the hotel was very nice but there were some simple maintenance problems such as: bulbs needed to be replaced, very slow drain in shower/bath... a feeling that things needed to be renovated. The housekeeping was fabulous..always cleaned and neatened. I booked a superior room months ahead and we ended up supposedly "upgraded" ..a very nice room except it was in an airshaft...some upgrade !...

hotel was amazing the staff were the best i have ever had and that the food was excellent, was the best first romanic holiday i have ver had with the misses.

We loved the location of this hotel since it was so close to the Uffizi. The hotel was lovely, very nice decor, and the rooms comfortable and very clean. While we liked this hotel overall, we originally had a room (#501) next to the elevator shaft and you could hear it as it went up and down - it was very loud and kept us awake. We asked for another room and the hotel provided us with a lovely room that was much quieter. The gentleman at the front desk said no one had complained of the elevator noise in his 25 years of working at the hotel which I found impossible to believe since it was disturbing and continued until after 1AM and started very early in the morning. Bathrooms were very clean and updated with lovely towel warmers. The breakfast room as a delight and the service overall was very good. We would go back to this hotel and request a room away from the elevator since this was our only real issue. The sheets were 100% linen which you may or may not like. We found them to be beautiful but a little stiff. We had dinner at the restaurant and it was unremarkable.

Beautiful lobby and bar area, good location, decent price. At check in the staff was polite but did not go out of their way to make you feel truly welcome. We booked an Executive Double which is on a special floor and the room was very nice albeight small then what would be expected. The big problem was the whole hallway smelled like raw sewage and it never went away for the three days we were there. Additionally, when we checked in it was stuffy inside and we could not get the air conditioning to work. We called the front desk to have it looked at and were informed that would be impossible as there is no air conditioning from November to April. Nice suprise. Unfortunately they were having a warm spell and when you opened the windows it did nothing to cool the room, however it did add to the sewage smell.

Outstanding Location, Staff arrange for a private tour to Siena & San Gimminiano with Fabrizio and that was the cherry to our trip....don't think twice and book this hotel!!!

Great location. Great service. Terrific breakfast buffet. Room was very comfortable and the bathroom was huge. I would suggest you avoid the hotel bar as the prices are too high. Otherwise, I would definately recommend this hotel and stay there again.

We stayed at the Bernini Palace for 3 nights and were delighted with our choice. You could not choose a better location. It is a stone's throw from the Uffizzi Gallery and the Piazza della Signoria where all the action is. It is less than a 10 minute stroll to the Duomo. We were pleasantly surprised at how nice our 2 rooms were. One was a superior room and the other a triple (which simply meant it was slightly larger and they brought in a cot). The beds are comfortable and the decor is updated, but still has some charming details like a canopy over the bedhead and a chandelier over the bed. The only disappointment was breakfast. The breads were stale and the choice very limited. You are better off eating at the lovely cafe/patisserie directly across the street from the hotel.

An excellent hotel in the heart of Florence - ideally situated near many important sites. Excellent service and attentive staff. Rooms well maintained and provided - although a bit small (we reserved a triple room but with three in the room and with the extra bed it was a bit tight - if it were only two in the room it would have been ideal). Breakfast buffet was very good with many selections.

What a perfect location! Just a few steps from everything: beautiful piazzas, Ponte Vecchio, Uffizi, etc.. Location was ideal! The hotel is very pretty with a nice lobby & bar area. The room was nice but very noisy hearing the busy side streets below. If I return I will ask for the highest floor. Overall, I would say it's a best bet for the money.

I booked a classic double and did not notice it was for one person!!!! You MUST INDICATE that it is for TWO even if it says its a double. We got the smallest boring room ever, for the first night. Once they realized there were two of us they made every effort to upgrade us the second night. We can't say enough about Lorenzo and the rest of the staff. Really did their best to correct the error! Otherwise, it was a lovely stay in a lovely hotel.

We completely enjoyed our stay at Bernini Palace in Florence. The hotel is ideally located for touring the city on foot, is beautifully appointed, has quiet and comfortable accomodations, and the breakfast (included in our package) was outstanding! We would definately stay there again and recommend to friends.

The hotel is in the perfect location. Cannot be better. Bedroom was a little small but decor made up for it. Bathroom was larger and nicer than expected. Over all everything was wonderful. Staff was very helpful when needed. Highly recommended.
