Baywatch Resorts - Yellow Bird Hotel - باربادوس

Decent, clean, and comfortable accommodations with a great balcony and view of the ocean. Located on a strip of restaurants and bars which was great for dining/entertainment options but the noise did tend to be loud and disturbing on Saturday evening (was not an issue other weekday evenings). The hotel and restaurant staff was outstanding. I visited several other neighboring restaurants and their service was not nearly as superb. While I have stayed in more luxurious places, I had no issues or complaints with my stay, and the quality of service that I received would make return again and again.

No complaints at all about my stay. Great location. Great staff. The small kitchen is perfect especially when there is a supermarket just down the road where you can buy rum and food really cheap. The hotel does not have a lot of spit and polish but then again, the price, the location and the staff are all first rate. All hotels look the same when your eyes are closed right?!?! LOL The channel selection kinda sucks and the t.v.s are old but who comes to Barbados to watch t.v. right? The wireless interest was surprisingly fast. The beach is right across the road and the sea view is perfect from your balcony. Café Sol is right next door and lots of people and great food there as well as in the Yellow Bird restaurant. Overall I was really happy here and would for sure book again without hesitation and I would recommend Yellow bird to my friends.

I have never been to Barbados before so there was so many hotels along the South Coast that it was impossible to choose. I asked some business colleagues in Trinidad and one recommended the Yellow Bird. If you are looking for the spit and polish of a high end hotel you are not going to find it here. The hotel is getting old and the rooms are dated and basic. The location is awesome. The noise from Café Sol is NOT that bad at all and is a great place to meet people. You are a 3 minute walk from the heart of the St. Lawrence Gap and just 10 minutes and 2 Barbados dollars from the Friday night fish party at Oistens which I highly recommend. TriMart supermarket is just the Highway and the rooms at Yellow Bird come with a nice kitchenette so you can eat and stay really cheap. Great beach across the road and to the West about 300 meters. The views of every room are awesome. Food in the restaurant by the pool is great and cheap. Leave your patio doors open and sleep to the sounds of the surf. The internet is free and very fast of which I was really impressed. The t.v.’s are old and should be replaced with bigger flat screens but t.v. is not that important to me. The satellite t.v. channel selection really sucked. The price was like waaaay better than any other hotels and is for sure a bargain. All of the other guests you ran into seem to be quite happy as well and that is probably because the staff is so good here. I would book here again for sure.

This is a pleasant and friendly hotel. It needs sprucing up, but the prices reflect that. My beef is that for the entire length of our stay (5 days) the pool was being retiled. This is surely something for the off-season. They offered a sister hotel's pool, but it was a quarter of a mile away. A hotel pool is for relaxing in outside your room. Most disappointing.

Good location and nearby to great bars and restaurants in the Gap. However, the hotel is in a big need for some renovation. - Very run down. Great views from the balcony!

The staff were really helpful with cheerful manner.

I spent a lot of time choosing a hotel in Barbados, as we'd never been there before. I chose the Yellow Bird because of it's convenient location in the Gap, the fact that each room has a kitchenette (which can save you lots of money on meals here), and because we like smaller hotels. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was especially nice to be able to take a stroll down the Gap without having to deal with the heavy traffic seen on most roads on the island. Nearby are several restaurants, food markets, and a neat little karaoke bar called Hal's Car Park Bar, which is basically an awning attached to the side of a building with a bar underneath. Be sure to go to Oistins on Friday night for the fish fry, take a catamaran cruise to swim with the turtles and snorkel over the coral reefs, and rent a car (I would suggest a Suzuki Jimny with a GPS from Direct Car Rental) to explore the island. Barbados has the friendliest people of any place we've ever been.

very difficult to sleep in, a mad house

Despite the nice staff at the desk and in the restaurant, this is the worst hotel I have stayed at in Barbados--and among the worst anywhere. The front area felt like a check cashing outfit and included big signs about how my property was not the hotel's responsibility. The room's walls were grubby and the floor sticky. And there was loud music from several directions until 3 a.m., when a couple of loud, drunk men yelled to each other as they tried to find their room. I advise you to stay away.

Great vacation. Staff were terrific, very helpful and courteous. KIds loved having a pool and the food and service at the restaurant were fantastic. Would definitely stay there again!

Though the furnishings were dated and the decor rudimentary, it was clean and maintained with fresh paint. It was adequately equipped for guests wishing to prepare their own meals. The location is excellent, on the doorstep of one of the liveliest areas for night life in Barbados, with easy access to public transport. I did not stay long enough to form an opinion on the level of service but the staff who I interacted with were pleasant and helpful.

La verdad, que me atendieron muy bien, la habitacion era cómoda y espaciosa, el personal muy amable, la ubicación excelente y el precio accesible. Si vuelvo a Barbados, no dudaría en regresar a este hotel.

Considero que este hotel muy bueno, la pase agradable, mi estadia fue relajada y tengo la intencion de volver ..Felicitaciones a todo elpersonal por el servicio prestado ....Sigan asi ...
