Its convenience to the airport is its major strength

Great location and good shuttle service. Other than that, it's a barely average hotel. The western restaurant is uninviting and dark and both the food and drinks are expensive for what you get....especially the drinks....U$6 for a coke??

Good only for spending the night near the airport, but perfect for that, with a regular shuttle to the airport.

...but very close to Pudong airport and with a convenient free shuttle-bus service. Breakfast was excellent, and free Wifi a bonus.

This was a very nice place to stay but make sure you know which terminal you have to go to in the morning dont rely on them to tell you hahahaha

the ramada is quite a good hotel for travellers and even for visitors to pudong area. the pick up and send by the hotel bus was punctual and efficient. with more exhibitions at the pudong area, which i attended, i took the bus to the airport daily, switch to the bullet train and transfered to metro line 2 to get to wherever i wanted to go, took a bit more time about 1 hour +-but was worth it. what was basically lacking was the surrounding areas was bare, but that is expected of all airport hotels. security was good, place was quiet and peaceful. for non shoppers and quiet loving people, this hotel should be it. price wise is competitive.

This hotel continues to excel at being the best place to stay before an early morning flight or after a late-night arrival. The shuttle runs 24 hours a day and is very simple to find at the airport. The restaurants are acceptable and the bar is fine.

I am a business person and stay in top hotels all over the world. I looked at a number of reviews on the website and was a bit skeptical to book a room. However I still booked the room and was very happy with it. I found it to be very acceptable, with a good selection of English TV programs and reasonably priced for an airport hotel. I did not eat at the hotel so cannot comment on the quality of the food. It was also convenient to the airport and their shuttle service in the morning is great! I would recommend this to any USA business person who wants to relax before leaving the next day.

Great location if you need to be next to the airport for quick access. Decent hotel overall. I had dinner there and honestly it was pretty bad and I just ate the rice because I was hungry and left the rest. I was somewhat disappointed with the breakfast buffet the next morning was also pretty disappointing if you are used to the incredible breakfast spreads usual in high end Chinese hotels. The hotel room was really good with comfortable bed and a tiny balcony. I would recommend this hotel There us a nearby hotel that the airline tried to push me to called Shanghai Airlines Travel Hotel. I first went there and found that it would be like the worst musty dirty hotel you can imagine, and fortunately I was able to find a room at this nearby Ramada

Everything was great. A little trouble finding the free hotel shuttle. Ignore all the buses/vans on the near sidewalk. The location of the hotel shuttle is across the street!!

Ramada Inn at Shanghai Pudong Airport is one of the best Airport Hotels I've stayed at. It is convenient, exceptionally modern and very professionally run. My compliments to the management of this hotel and the veyr helpful staff.

I wouldn't stay here but for the easy convienence to the airport. My husband and I had to leave Shanghai on a very early morning flight to the U.S. so we checked in on the night before. The rooms were clean enough but our air conditioning didn't work so well when we woke so the room ending up being a bit stuffy. There isn't anything around to walk to so we sat in the lounge area and ordered a drink and some food before turning in. The staff was good but I couldn't say the same for the food. If I had to stay there again I would catch a taxi for dinner and only come back to sleep. If all you need is a bed and shower really close to the airport then this would probably do.

i don't think the air conditioning worked well.

For overnight stay and stop off close to the Airport this is a great location. The shuttle service is really convenient and free. The carpets in the room could be updated or cleaned but otherwise the rooms are are clean and comfortable. New Gym is good. Eat at the airport as the Breakfast is the real let down as it a complete rip off in terms of price.

An excellent hotel for a last night stay before leaving from Pudong airport. Western restaurant is OK, Chinese restaurant is very good. Prices are good - a welcome reprieve from the inner city Shanghai hotel rates. Would not recommend the hotel for more than 1 night due to its location. Staff speak excellent English and are very helpful and friendly. Checkout lines can be long in the morning so leave a few extra minutes.

The rooms are small and very old. Watch out for the bottled water they provide. But it's close to the airport and can be suffered for one night...

I arrived at Pudong airport approached to the Ramada hotel counter in the airport..ask for hotel shuttle service. They hotel guy direct me for Taxi to the next counter, they were asking me 200 rmb to drop at Ramada hotel..then i was aruging with them it near by why i should be pay 200rmb and negotiated to 100rmb. Ramada hotel guy was watching this conversation and didnt say anything. Then i paid them 100rmb to drop me at hotel, next day i find the taxi fare to hotel is only 15rmb. came to know i was cheated...i guess the ramada hotel guy also had commison with the guy. I was very much unhappy of the attitude of hotel staff at the airport counter.

This hotel works very well when arriving or departing Shanghai on international travel. The hotel food and upkeep are so-so, but it works very well for airport travelers in conjunction with their free airport shuttle. If it were in the city, I would choose a hotel with better food/rooms/rates.

The hotel is five minutes from the Pudong airport. They were very nice and the included breakfast was very nice. But don't expect anyone to speak English. We were the only Americans staying there and we found one employee who spoke English. The hotel was clean and nice and completely served our purposes for one night after travelling for 20 hours.

The experience was disappointing. The meals were expensive but low quality. The Chinese restaurant in the hotel used materials which tasted badly as appeared something stored for long time. The staff working in the hotel were not eager to help customers.

What one would expect in an airport hotel of comparable price in a large American city. Large rooms, comfortable, a bit aged but far from crumbling, free in-room internet (but at China-slow speed for international links and email). Gym in process of being remodeled. Two reasonably good restaurants, one of them 'Western' and the other Cantonese. Free airport shuttle with sufficient frequency. Almost totally inaccessible for a pedestrian, but with nowhere interesting to go other than the airport, so what? Good English-language TV access.

My stay was excellent! I do however have the following suggestions: - Since the hotel is not near any Masjid (Muslim Place of Prayer), please consider a small carpeted room to use as a Muslim Prayer Room with a small arrow facing the direction of Mecca, Saudi Arabia (so as to let those who are praying to know which direction to face). - Since there are no Halaal Muslim Restaurants nearby, please consider catering for Halaal or allowing guests to order from a Halaal restaurant through the hotel and have the food delivered. Providing these 2 services will greatly assist Muslim business travelers who may stay at your hotel. Thanks!

I had a great stay at the Ramada in Shanghai. The hotel offers a free airport shuttle, which is very convenient. The hotel staff is friendly, and many speak in English. The rooms are nice, and clean. I would highly recommend staying here.

this was my second stay here before an early morning flight the next day, so only one night, but very comfortable and pleasant. Room was perhaps a bit warm, so had to have window open which caused a bit of noise, but not too much of a problem. Lobby lounge was being renovated, but had moved to the other side of the lobby and easy to order a drink and in pleasant surroundings. Restaurant also OK, good range of choice. Overall, having stayed in many airport hotels in the past, I rate this one as pretty good and one of my favourites and will return!

The hotel has a lot of construction going on. For the price I paid for the room I was really disappointed. In addition, after two weeks bouncing around China, this was the only hotel that had an internet use charge. The staff is excellent, but hotel needs to look at making some changes to be in tune with other 4 star hotels...

This hotel is convenient if you have a flight from PVG and do not want to put up with traffic going into or coming out of Shanghai. I do not recommend this hotel for more than one night. There are much better hotels in Shanghai. I was in Suzhou and flying out the next day, so instead of staying in Suzhou or Shanghai, I stayed here for the night prior to my flight. I got to sleep late and get to my flight in a leisurely manner aboard the free shuttle bus.

This Hotel is a great spot if you have to leave early from PVG airport. Nice hotel, good food and bar. Rooms are a bit sparten, but very functional and clean. I was upgraded to the EXEC. Level, which had Free Wi-FI. Only downside, the BED was hard as a rock and I like firm beds, this one was beyond FIRM. Very convenient FREE Shuttle to the airport,about 5-7 minutes. Overall a good experience.

My stay at this hotel was great! The hotel was very clean and comfortable. It was convenient for making connecting flights to Pudong International Airport. Staff was courteous and helpful. I was very satisfied.

Standard Business Hotel, good for a stopover, but no character. Would recommend for a stopover but little else. Food and Drink expensive, shuttle is free so eat at the airport!

Free mini bus Ramada id'd shuttle to and from PVG, easy to find, helpful bellmen, excellent buffet breakfast. Internet connections good, free in lobby area, fee in room. Massage in basement level outsourced - not recommended with dingy rooms. (you get what you pay for) Overall, excellent value for close connections to airport or intransfer stopovers. 1 hour from the city, 5 minutes from the airport. I would stay again.

I booked this hotel as the Ramada name is usually associated with a good quality hotel. Not a great 5 star chain, but they are usually very reliable. This hotel did not meet my expectations. I now stay 40 minutes from the airport and drive in. The rooms were very basic with cheap furnishes. They upgraded to me a suite and I was still very disappointed. The bed was hard, the tv was small, there was one tiny bathroom in the suite that looked like it was 30 years old. It had a nice balcony, but the door to it was locked.

This hotel was within a five minute shuttle bus ride to the airport. Room was quite comfortable; restaurant reasonably priced. I would stay here again.

I stay at this hotel whenever I pass though Shanghai - PuDong PVG airport (maybe 6 times a year). Free shuttle bus, free internet in parts of the hotel, friendly front desk people who speak good English. If overflow at the front desk, or if you are on the Exec level, they will bring you upstairs to check-in. Convenient shuttle bus makes it easy to get into Shanghai from the airport by bus or MAG train/subway.
