Radisson Blu Hotel Shanghai New World - شنغهاي

The hotel is very nice and perfectly located across the street from People's Park. Room was large and well appointed but there was a problem with the air conditioning system that caused a leak in one part of the room. This was fixed quickly and no real problem although no one ever said sorry. Watch the cost of food and beverage at the hotel's restaurants. Very expensive even for downtown Shanghai. You can do much, much better at the many restaurants in the area.

We had only a minor issue, in that we were checked into a smoking room. However once this was mentioned we were moved immediately and given an upgrade. Can not complain about that! Hotel fantastic, and helpful staff. Recommend this hotel for a comfortable stay.

Great location in Shanghai not far from the Bund, Markets and so on. Have stayed the last two years here and enjoy it each time.

I booked the Radisson Blu because of its location and price--big mistake. The lobby is cold and drafty. Wind was actually blowing through the lobby. Since the bar is in the lobby, it's not a comfortable place to sit. The front desk staff barely speak English. The concierge uniforms are threadbare. Moving to the second floor, we had lunch the first day at the buffet--exhorbitantly expensive and barely edible. I kept thinking that I had misread the price. Since the restaurant overlooks the lobby, we had to eat with our coats on because the wind was blowing through the restaurant as well. The halls to the rooms are dimly lit. The rooms are from the 60s. Twin beds and an odd bathroom arrangement where your bathroom has a picture window into the bedroom. It has blinds--mine didn't work. I was first shown to a smoking room (I had reserved non-smoking) and they tried to pass it off as non-smoking, except the ash trays and matches (and the odor) gave that away. The only good thing was that it is across from the Metro and in a lively area. There are other hotels close by that might be better. I checked out early and went to another hotel. I suggest you save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere.

Fine hotel in a wonderful location adjacent to People's Park and the marvelous subway system. We stayed here for 12 days and it was great. I highly recommend both the hotel and the location.

This hotel located on Nanjing road, close to the bond, I was out at almost midnight,the area still full of lights,people and happy energy. Lots of good restaurant nearby,there is a little supermarket I got drinks and snacks,it's in the underground of next building which is a mall and even has a big movie theatre on the top.I used taxi to get around Shanghai's main attractions, like the Yu garden, Chenhuang Miao, Xingtiandi, French Concession... super easy,cost me about 3 Canadian dollar one way most of the time. The staff at the hotel are fast and efficient, they even remember my name. Only thing is the hot water is a little slow, take a bit longer to fill the bath tub, may not notice it if watching some TV. The bed is very comfortable.

location was perfect and so was the hotell. Only problem was the laundry service, all my clothes were too small when i got them back.

The Radisson Blue hotel is on the north side of People's Park and is in a very central location. The staff at the hotel were very helpful with arranging taxi's as well as reservations. I would certainly stay here again on my next trip to Shanghai.

One of the best hotels I have stayed. Fantastic ambiance and attention to detail. Impeccable service. The restaurant a bit overpriced but incomparable views of Shanghai. Best jacuzzi I've experienced. Highly recommended. I feel like returning to Shanghai just so I can stay at this hotel again!

simply a great hotel. very central (practicly on peoples square) and very comfortable rooms. enjoy!

The bed is comfortable and the bathroom is clean. locationis so convenient, close to shopping mall, train station, bus stop and restaurant

Friendly and efficient service / room available for our early check in / late check out / right on Nanjing Road and Pepple's Square Metro Stop.

A great hotel in a great location. Right across the road from people's square subway station, Nanjing Road shopping street, and plenty of other restaurants and shopping centres. We had a 3 person room, where they had put in an extra bed, with an pretty hard mattress, but the other 2 beds were very comfortable. Free internet available in the rooms, but pretty slow most of the time, and the usual TV channels.

I booked through Hotels.com and was promised a city view room but got a lower level room with a view of the air-conditioning duct. The room with twin beds was a little small also but otherwise the hotel was great and in a perfect location not far from the bund and close to the markets.

If you want to leave your hotel without being approached to buy a watch or offers from Hookers, stay away from this location. It is a seedy part of Shanghai.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Radisson in Shanghai. The hotel was an especially great value for the quality...we felt it was deluxe in every way. Our room, 3702, was unique in that it had a little office, with the desk, TV and mini bar. The bedroom was separae, with a gorgeous, huge bathroom. Separate shower, tub, and toilet. We appreciated the great service from the concierge and the breakfast buffet was fantastic. We loved the location and would highly recommend the Raisson Shanghai! It was so convenient to everything...and a very welcoming retreat to come back to after a day of sightseeing.

Brill location, reception changed our room to one on a higher floor at our request - very helpful. very comfortable and friendly hotel. Restaurant at the top of the tower was expensive for what it was (great view, average food).

Stayed at the Radisson for 14 days in November. Hotel was in very good condition. Rooms very nice and clean, although I could never really get the AC to work properly. Breakfast was very good, but the same every day. It would have been nice to have some variations, especially when you eat there every day. Awesome location to metro and shopping, sightseeing. If you are male, I caution the onslaught of prostitutes in the hotel. Especially on the 45th floor in the lounge/bar area. From what I was told, the hotel and the prostitutes have an "agreement". It really is irritating that you can't even sit down for a drink for 5 minutes without getting hit on by hookers. All in all a very good hotel. Would return.

Amazing service. Staff exceptionally helpful. Location is right across the street from the subway and on a bus line! Nanjing Road (aka shopping!) is 1 block away and it is within walking distance to the Bund and night cruise dock. Expo was an easy subway ride away. The bed was soft!!! A treat in China! Great views! Resturant at the top revolves so the view is amazing and the food was great. We enjoyed our stay here.

Fantastic location; hotel excellent

On Check in they did not have my request for a non-smoking king size bed. I produced the confirmation and they then upgraded my room to a mini suite that was non-smoking with a king bed and a great view. The staff was great and very helpful. The Hotel was convenient and great. I would definitely stay here again and again.

excellent rooms and bath. Food and drink is expensive but it is to be expected at this type of hotel.

Location was very good as it is close to Nanjing Rd and lots of shops. You can even walk all the way to the Bund. Plus after a tiring day out sightseeing, there is a famous sky bar to relax and chill plus a romantic revolving restaurant where you can have an overview of Shanghai from the 45th floor. Very romantic and beautiful at night with the lights lit up. The food was suprisingly good and was definately enjoyable. It was unquie experience. The room was cosy and clean. All in all, met expectations and had a pleasant stay. Would definately recomend visitors with family or couples.

the exercise room has good machines, and the people are even helpful! love the simple sauna and bath too.

I come to Shanghai several times a year. Tried several other five start hotels nearby, Radisson Shanghai New World is my favorite. It is not too big to find a door in and out. It is conveniently located right on the busiest street in Shanghai, everything is close. The service is wonderful. First few times, they did not know that I have been stayed with them many times. Once they corrected their records, everytime I come back, they would bring me fruit basket, welcome card making you feel good and like home. Now they even toss in free internet connection. ...

Pleasant stay at Radisson - will recommend this to others I know - look forward to my next visit becaus3 of the nice surroundings and facilities of your hotel.

Hotellet ligger nærmest på Peoples Place og ikke langt fra the Bund. Bar i 47. etg. gir en fantastisk utsikt over hele byen, inkl. "skyline" Pudong. Restaurant i 45. etg. går rundt, hele runden tar ca. 2 timer - da har du sett hele byen i alle retninger. Rommet var fantastisk, service og mat på restaurant var meget bra.

Et godt gedint hotel, god service og smilende, hjælpsomme ansatte.....

Je recomende cet hotel sans hesitation . Moi et ma petite amie avons passé un sejour d une semaine impecable . L hotel est tres bien entretenue , le personnel parle tres bien anglais et les facilites tres agreable et dans un tres bon etat tel que le spa ou meme la salle de gym ainsi que la piscine et le jacuzzy . Mon prochain sejour a shanghai je retournerai dans cet hotel sans hesiter .

Värme systemet var inte igång så det var kallt i rummet, fick dock ett element men fick då stänga av luft tillförseln till rummet...... annars bra

Radisson Shanghai New World er et dejligt hotel beliggende i den absolutte centrum af Shanghai. Jeg bor altid her, når jeg er i Shanghai af flg. årsager: * God central beliggenhed * God fitness/wellness * Fantastik roterende restaurant i toppen af hotellet * Gode senge (ikke "kineserhårde") * Lækkert morgenbord * Gode shoppingmuligheder i gangafstand Kort sagt fuld komfort i midten af Shanghai. Det eneste minus er, at man bliver kontaktet af lokale, så snart man træder ud af døren, som vil sælge diverse ting og ydelser. Tips: * Separat indgang fra hotellet til New World shopping center * Mulighed for at få skræddersyet tøj på hotellet * Stort marked ca. 500m fra hotellet (følg Nanjing Road mod vest (væk fra gågaden), følg Najing Road i en "S-kurve", når du går under en bro, ligger der et højhus foran til højre. Passer restauranten og gå ind ad indgangen fra Najing Road. Her ligger der masser af boder i ca. 4 etager, hvor der kan købes diverse "mærkevarer". Her skal pruttes om prisen!

Das Radisson New World hat eine sehr gute Lage, mitten im Zentrum, durch eine Tür mit einem grossen Shoppingcenter verbunden. Die Metro ist ca 5 Gehminuten entfernt. Die Zimmer sind geräumig u gut ausgestattet, die Badezimmer angenehm. Das Frühstück war sehr gut, sowohl chinesisch als auch europäisch reichhaltig. Nur eine Espressomaschine fehlte, der Kannenkaffee war nicht top. Schönes Schwimmbad und Spa im 8. Stock. Überall freundliches und serviceorientiertes Personal. Vielleicht einziger Nachteil: schon etwas älter. Aber jedenfalls empfehlenswert.

Für Touristen perfekt gelegen, andrerseits kosten Taxis in Shanghai dermassen wenig, dass die Lage nicht unbedingt ausschlaggebend sein muss. Gutes P/L-Verhältnis.

Very nice hotel! Perfect location for shopping, metro, and cafes. The spa is wonderful, only downside is that they "forgot" to tell us about the service charge when we asked if the price was all included, and our bodyscrub did not have an oil treatment as promised. The pool is big and clean! The concierge is very helpful with tours - all the tours are a bit on the pricy side!!!! It might be a lot cheaper to arrange tours from home! All in all we had a very nice stay and will definately recommend this hotel to others.

Je suis allé dans cet hôtel grâce à une promotion! sinon il est vrai que le prix est au-dessus de mes moyens! mais en réduction, vraiment c'est un hôtel parfait! super beau, propre, personnel aimable et souriant! en plus j'ai eu le droit à un free upgrade! pour le prix d'une chambre normale j'ai eu une suite deluxe! vraiment PARFAIT!
