The location is a pretty good distance from the bridge, and it isn't hard to find. It's located next a lot of different stores.

I think the cleaning staff was super. The front desk clerk during the day and early evening were pleasant and tried to help with the toilet situation. The night clerk was awful. the location was super but the property is old and the plumbing just questionable. We finally settled on staying but only if they left the plunger in our room the whole time. Didn't have much choice the surrounding area was booked solid.

Room was supposed to e non smoking, however, as soon as we opened the door the smoke smell was overwhelming. Room was ok, mold growing in the refrigerator. Carpet in the hallway stayed wet and you could smell the mold. Would not recommend staying here if you have asmtha or any other breathig issue. The breakfast was also a big disatisfier, should be improved. In the end, the last thought I would say is, "you get what you pay for."

perfect timing we are told - before spring break - quite - great location on the island.

rooms clean. Corridors in and out of rooms very unsightly with stains. Comfortable bed. Motel is not shabby but headed that way.

The hotel was clean and comfortable.The staff was very pleasant. Wish the "continental breakfast" was a bit more than just some mini donuts. Loud neighbors in the next room, had to turn fan on our air conditioning to drown them out. And some guy banging on our window one night was unnerving.

I had a blast and the hotel people were cool.

Great hotel,great service and clean rooms. The only thing I disliked was that visitors had to pay $25 to visit for like an hour!

HOTEL WAS SMALL FELT CRAMPED NO VIEW.

Th hotel is not a beach front as advertised. Continental breakfast does not mean coffee and daughnut only. Overpriced for a maybe 2 star hotel

The room was suppose to be handicapped but it was so small we could not get a wheelchair into it. No coffeemaker. We were suppose to stay 4 nights but left after one night.

Just stayed for one night but was pleased with the service and everything was so accessible to go walking, especially the beach. My husband, daughter's friend, daughter, and myself enjoyed our day at the beach.

Very close to everything on Padre Blvd. and close enough to the Beach to walk without paying too much. Convenient for loners in S. Padre Island.

You get what you pay for--the carpet in the hallway needs to be replaced badly! The room was okay. Sheets were not ironed; mattress was not the best. We wanted to wash clothes after returning from the beach, but the hotel machine was not working. Breakfast was minature donuts, cofee and flavored punch drink. We skipped the breakfast and found a nice breakfast place right down the street. The price we paid was too high for this hotel.

my wife and i stayed here for our honeymoon, staff was great room was good was a little put off by the whole room being tiled but having never been on the island before we quickly found out why as sand got everywhere lol, but our stay here was fun and will be back

The kids loved the pool...... the only thing is u can't have food in the pool area its at the island who wouldn't want to have a BBQ or at least sandwiches after a long day at the beach

We didn't plan to spend the night at the Island, but it got late and I looked up a hotel online, found this one, had pretty good reviews so we got a room. I was over all pleased with the room, the a/c is hard to adjust to the right temp, tile floors are cold but cleaner than carpet and our tv remote didn't work. They didn't have enough towels to accommodate 4, only two, I asked at the front desk and they gave me 2 more. But other than that, we slept in so we didn't get to check out the coffee and donuts in the morning. Check in and Check out was easy.

The hotel was centrally located to everything and was clean. Staff was helpful and curtious,rooms were clean and comfortable. In all would stay again. Only fall back was that the kids staying there were loud and inconsiderate. I blame the parents for the kids being loud not the hotel

This is a hotel that was formerly a franchise and is now independent. Beds were firm, pillows were flat, AC worked well. For a family who's not spending much time in the room it is adequate. The ice machine was broken. The carpet in the halls are frayed. There is a refrigerator and microwave oven in the room but no comfortable seating unless you sit on the bed. For the price, it seemed costly for adequate.. but it is the summer season and rooms go for a premium rate at this time of year on South Padre Island. I won't stay there again.

The hotel was overall great. The staff worked with us on some issues that most hotels wouldnt. The rooms were clean but were on the bay side not the beach side. It is located close to shops and restaurants. It has an average sized pool. No problems and will definitely return.

Hotel was good for the price over all. We did get an unwanted wake-up phone ring at 6 am. We did't set it. I unplugged the phone the 2nd night to avoid a repeat. Also the maids came knocking at 9 am to ask if we wanted the room cleaned. We had partied the night before so that was a little early. Also the breakfast was supposed to open 6-9 am. We went at 9:05 (after being awakened by the maids) No breakfast and more surprisingly coffee was already taken away (no coffee in the room) They ran that ship tight.

Very nice hotel. The only thing I did not like about the room was that the sink was not in the bathroom, but in the room's entry hall.

The rooms were clean, mattresses were uncomfortable. We chose this hotel based on description. It said it came with a continental breakfast which consisted of the mini chocolate donuts and oj. Probably wouldn't stay again...

I would never, ever let anyone or animal stay that this place, in fact my family and checked out 2 days early and went to another hotel. Sheets were dingy, floors were sticky, room felt clamy and could not get thermostat to adjust to comfortably temp. Breakfast was carafe of orange juice, coffee and the tiniest doughnuts ever.

They were very accommodating! Had one extra unexpected guest and they had no problem with it. The only issue I had was that the room was way smaller than I expected but for the price I didn't complain.

I stayed at this hotel during spring break and loved it! The staff was really nice unlike some of the previous hotels I stayed at during spring break. They are really laid back. The rooms were clean and neat.

We were checked in and told to register. I registered the 2 persons that were staying in our room the first night. The 2 other people that were arriving on Saturday were not allowed to register and were expected to pay extra per person for not being present to register on the 1st day. When i lost my "bracelet" I was told I had to pay an extra amount to go into my room or the police were gonna be called even thou the room and credit card were under my own name.

It may have been because it was spring break, but they were really strict and kinda rude, you had to wear a wrist band at all times, and couldn't bring anyone in who wasn't staying there. Other than that the rooms were spacey and nice. I'd stay there again.

YOU NEED TO HAVE A FREINDLY MANAGER THAT CAN GIVE YOU DIRECTIONS AND RECOMMEND WHERE TO GO TO EAT. CHANGE MANAGER AND I WILL RECOMMEND THIS PLACE HIGHLY.

The Island Inn hotel is a very nice, affordable & high quality hotel with all the amenities I expected. I will most definitely return & will recommend to anyone traveling in the area. It's conviently located & surrounded by all anyone would ever want to enjoy in the area, (shopping, dining, outdoor activities & so much more..). It was my first stay there & I must say..the Island Inn did NOT disappoint. We also enjoyed the pool..(was very impressed..) & my companion was equally satisfied, if not a little more.. I thank you Island Inn for making our stay & experience a great one! Keep it up..you have a nice establishment there & will be looking forward to the next visit. As well as many more in the future! C.P.

It was what I expected, its a place to sleep. There are restuarants and shops nearby and the beach is a walk away.

not very clean, spooky cleks and old beat up yellowish towels.

The hotel from outside looked good but inside the room was totally different story. The air conditioning did not work good. The window curtains were not clean and looked like black mold on them, when questioned was told that it is the dust coming from the air conditioners.

Iwould recommend only to those who want to stay at thesland and don't care too much about luxury or steps away from the beach. But certainly not to families with kids.
