the views were calming and we had a room near the clubhouse which worked well for us. it was a good size room with enough space for 4. The management was very accommodating.I like the pool but it would have been nice to have had a lifeguard to manage at times, as parents allowed their kids to do running flips into the pool. also, times for adults only so that those who like to swim laps could be able to do this.

This place is quite nice but you should be warned that it isn't really a hotel. It is basically a condo complex. If you intend on staying for a stretch- more than one night- it would work out better. We stayed overnight and the pain the the rear of their checkout process slowed us down the next morning. Check out time is early- 10- and you have to strip your own beds, place laundry in the tub and take out your own trash. The get up and go convenience of a hotel isn't there. The rooms are nice and if you intend to stay for a week of skiing, they would be a better fit. Be advised that you have to pay for internet. The info we had led us to believe that we had the slow internet for free- fine since we were not there for business. There is no free internet and what we paid $10 for was really, really slow. It would not support business applications. Also, this place allows dogs. Many places do but this is the first time in 20 years of business travel that I have been awakened by dogs barking. This complex is also a bit noisy. It caters to long term stay ski business and would be a great fit for a family ski week. Not a good match for a 1-2 night business stay.

great place to stay - near jiminey peak!!

We were very satisfied again with the Vacation Village at the Berkshires. The price is right and the condo is perfect. It's a nice size and includes everything.

Overall the place was great and very family-friendly. However, because some of the units are owned, there was second-hand smoke that you could smell in the non-smoking units. The management was very apologetic and even though they couldn't stop the smoking, they did offer to move us to another room.

This hotel is right across from Jiminy Peak which makes it great if that is your priority. The downside to this hotel is that you need to take care of your own trash, pull all your linens at the end of your stay, wash all dishes, or you will get charged a cleaning fee. For the price paid, you would not think you would have to do this. Also, they only have bar soap in the bathrooms, so you must bring your own shampoo, conditioner, etc. which again for the dollars you spend you would think they would at least provide those item. In addition, on this stay we ended up with some college students below us which made for 2 difficult sleeping nights. We stayed here 2 times before and never had this happen, so I consider this an isolated situation. But, I am bugged by the lack of typical service for such a nice place.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel!

It is a great place to relax and take a real break! The kids enjoy all the activities and the inside pool

Great rooms/suites. Comfortable, bed was very comfortable. Everything was new and kitchenette was stocked nicely. Only complaint was the bathroom towels were VERY rough, but I'm "looking" to find something "bad" about the stay. Fantastic time, would defintely go back.

This is a great place to stay if you are going to be here for longer than a weekend. This is the second time I have stayed here. Rooms are spotlessly clean and the staff is very friendly.

It was as good as we thought it would be

It was fine, however, it had no shampoo and conditioner. These days who does not provide shampoo and conditioner? So none of us showered as we had no supplies.... The check out time seemed a little strict as well. If you check out one minute after 10 you are charged another night and a cleaning fee.

Very nice place. We stayed in a nice apartment that was fully equipped and clean. Also had a fireplace and jacuzzi. Was really good and had restfull sleep on a nice comfy bed.

We were very pleased with the price and maintenance of the property. The roominess and the cleanliness of the suite was wonderful. We would definitely return to stay longer than just one night. Great value!!!

We stayed one night in a one-bedroom apartment. Spacious with nice layout, full kitchen. Clean and well maintained. Very happy with our stay.

While our unit was clean, spacious, and bright we found the staff to be unfriendly and not especially welcoming. It was also curious that we had to take care of our own trash and linen upon departure. We never experienced this in any other vacation facility.

nice room for the price ... location is a bit out of the loop but not impossible ... the pool was pretty much filled with screaming children all the time ... no daily servicing of the room, which isn't a big deal but it would have been nice to have the in-room coffee replaced

Had itinerary from Hotels.com that clearly showed two rooms booked! They only wanted to give us one! Not enough parking, too many little dogs barking all night. Also, no stove to cook just a little two-burner thing!

Great place! Beautiful scenery excellent views of mountains great pool fantastic room. Highly recommend staying. I will return for more vacations!

The accommodations were just about what you'd expect -- clean, reasonably comfortable, completely characterless. Checking in was a real drag though. First, it took 10 minutes to escape the traffic jam in front of the office and find a place to park. Then, another 15 minutes on line to reach the counter. Then, at 3:30 pm, were told that the room wasn't ready and we'd have to wait half an hour. 45 minutes later, the room still wasn't ready. After another ten minutes of discussion, they agreed, reluctantly, to assign us to another room. And oh yes, the light didn't work in the kitchen.

We were in the Berkshires for my husband's high school reunion. We mainly wanted a place which was convenient and comfortable. We spent little time in the suite, but enjoyed its spaciousness and comfort. It was nice to have high school friends for breakfast one morning. The kitchen worked out very well. One evening it was very rainy and damp, so when we returned to the hotel we put in the gas fire place. That was a very nice touch. Would definitely stay there again. Only thing I wish were different was the early check out time--10 a.m. An extra charge was placed on the bill if you exceeded the check out time. We got the least expensive room, so we had to wash and put away all the kitchen dishes and pots and pans. No big deal.

Very conveniently located to all of the activities & must see sights in the area. Our suite was quite large with an eating area, mini kitchen bedroom & huge bathroom., We found it quite comfortable & will probably stay again in the future.

We only booked one night so we could stop off en route to Niagara but very quickly wished we were staying longer. There was more than enough room for our family of five and the kids loved the pool. It appeared there was lots of entertainment provided but unfortunately we didn't have time to see any of it. Yes, we did have to strip the beds and empty the rubbish but that wasn't too much of a hardship.

tHE FACILITY WAS VERY GOOD AND THE STAFF VERY HELPFUL. tHERE COULD HAVE BEEN MORE ACTIVITIES ON THE PROPERTY, BUT THE SURROUNDING AREA WAS FULL OF THINGS TO DO.hOWEVER we had to travel long distances to get anywhere

This resort is very convenient to a host of activities for adults as well as children. The staff was, and has always been, extremely helpful with details. (We are owners.)

We chose Vacation Village because it was more reasonably priced than anything closer to Tanglewood. For what it would have cost forone- two nights elsewhere, we stayed three nights. Overall it was a pleasant experience. The accomodations were spacious and clean, the bed comfortable, and the building mostly quiet. We didn't use the kitchen, but if we had, it was well stocked with plates, glasses, cooking materials, etc. The bathroom was large and I loved the two sinks. The people at the front desk were friendly and helpful. The only downside was it was 40 minutes to Tanglewood. But for the price and the accomadations, it was worth it for a weekend.

We have stayed at this resort before and have found it to be in a beautiful location with easy access to the spring & summer activities at Jiminy Peak. The resort has many amenities & activities for all to enjoy including both an indoor pool & outdoor pool. The restaurants located near Jiminy Peak make it easy to eat out if you don't want to cook! Our suite was nicely decorated, clean & very comfortable! We are planning to go again soon.

The only thing lacking in the hotel is a restaurant. Otherwise the hotel was great. The room was spotless upon check-in. The pools both indoor and outdoor where well maintained. The view of the Berkshires in certain rooms were breathtaking. The hotel staff was a wealth of information about things to do off site and types of restaurants in the area.Although there was no maid service unless requested at an additional daily charge the towel exchange was great. Call the desk and within two hours the used towels were gone and the clean ones were in your basket for use. We would highly recommend this hotel for your Berkshire visit.

The suite was great. The kids loved the pools.

No restaurants or shops that were of interest in the area. The surrounding towns are unfortunately poor.I would stay in Lenox the next time.We had no views at all from our room.The pool was overcrowded No maid service unless you scheduled and paid a $25 fee.We had to empty our own trash or would be charged an extra fee.Would not stay here again even though the scenery surrounding this area is beautiful but you can really stay in a more interesting town and see the scenery.

Nice room. No shampoo, conditioner or other toiletries. Fridgeator broken, our food spoiled. Wallpaper peeling. Kitchen burns in countertop. Food in sofa cushions when we pulled out the sofa bed and dirty plastic silverware. Nice layout and kitchen would have been nice to use if the fridge worked.

I had never heard of Vacation Village before and was extremely impressed. It was the first time I booked on Hotels.com and it certainly will not be my last--it was so easy and great choices were given right in our price range--I will definately attend Vacation Village again--my only disappointment was on the Hotels.com website it stated Vacation Village was only 14 miles from Tanglewood, which was our reason for coming and it was much further. We still arrived in time for the concert and had a blast. It will not deter me using your site again.........Thanks so much

It was very clean and very comfortable, all while being affordable. The full kitchen made me feel at home. I would definitely stay here again.
