This hotel is right off of the highway and close to friends, which makes it very convenient for my visits. It is also right behind the Blue Dolphin Diner so it is easy to dine close by. My only complaint would be that the bed was not as comfortable as I had hoped. My back hurt when I awoke in the morning. But the staff was very friendly, the hotel was clean and the price was reasonable, so I would recommend it to anyone, and I am sure that I will stay there again.

This hotel was a good place to stay. It was clean and comfortable. It was easily accessible from the interstate highway. Only complaint: They only had one rickety luggage cart to put our many bags on. For safety reasons, another exit at the end of the hallway would have been nice. The complimentary breakfast in the morning was very good. I would definitely stay there again.

I was forced to go to this hotel, because I procrastinated for my sister's graduation at Binghamton. The initial room I was given had a funky smell to it. Fortunately, the service switched me immediately. The second room smelled weird as well, but it was more bearable. In general, this hotel is more of a motel than hotel.

About the best you will do between Elmira and Binghamton

We stayed at Quality Inn, Binghamton West in Apalachin, NY. The staff was super friendly; the breakfast had a variety of foods, and they are a pet friendly hotel. The only negative thing is that we requested a non-smoking room and our room smelled terribly of smoke. Other than that, our experience was good; convenient to major roadways in the Binghamton area. Price is better than those hotels closer to Binghamton University.

If you like a clean room to sleep for one night, then this is the motel for you. Make sure you wake up early if you want to eat breakfast because after 9:00 am, you're not allowed to eat breakfast anymore even though there's left over. They will send the maid to the dining area to put away everything knowing you haven't eaten yet, just because you missed the "eating time."

The hotel is nice and clean, but it kind of seems like the maintenance is an ongoing battle. I couldn't get my door to open or shut without throwing a shoulder into it, after two nights I brought a screwdriver in and tightened the upper hinge, and wouldn't you know, problem solved. Pretty quiet most nights, three quarters of the guests are oil workers, so they're passed out sleeping before they even check in. The A/C units are the old knob types, so you have to guess and set them three times to find the right temp. The heat didn't seem to work when I tried it, tore apart the covers and didn't feel any hot water circulating through the thing, don't know if the boiler was off for that loop or what. Scalding hot water in the showers though. Overall the only thing that really bothers me when I stay here are the rock hard mattresses. I think there might be more padding under the carpet.

Hotel was nice, breakfast was good. But the beds were not comfortable. Way too hard. No refrigerator or microwave in room. A bit Spartan on the room decor. Free internet was nice.

Hotel personnel were friendly behind compare......welcomed me and conversed with me as if I was an old friend......made me feel welcome....a nice feeling when traveling...

Beds were the most uncomfortable beds that we have slept in. The headboard fell half off the wall when my husband touched it. The air conditioning did not work. Upon checkout the clerk was busy talking with a staff member to even ask how our stay was. The breakfast was the most pleasant part of our stay.

It's nice small hotel, very clean, staffs are friendly. Breakfest area is good. Only thing is the parking lot is short of space at night, so have to park on the curb, which is OK.
