Hotel Raffaello - روما

From the moment of arrival we were made to feel welcome. The rooms were immaculate. The location unbeatable, less than 10 mins walk to Stazione Termini and Colosseum. Easy walk to Trevi fountain. Delightful breakfast included and able to store luggage after checkout as out flight wasn't until 10 in evening. Hotel limo available for $55 to Rome Airport was a wonderful way to end our stay in Rome.

We stayed for four nights and had excellent service from all the staff. Our room was comfortable, and the bathroom was great. Wi-fi was reliable and quick. Breakfast good.Fairly convenient for most of the major sites and near some very good restaurants

Absolutely fantastic. Raffaello staff are friendly, helpful and very professional. The rooms are clean and comfortable and beautifully furnished. The neighbourhood is quiet and very close to many central tourist sites. As a solo traveller it provides a safe and supportive environment. I stayed here when I first travelled to Rome in 2010 and would have been disappointed if I could not have gained a booking again in my recent visit this year. It is a perfect location to the rail for flight connections as well as close to tourist sites. The breakfast bar is just lovely...a great range of foods to suit all cultures and tastes. Wi-fi is excellent. Could not fault this classy boutique hotel...it will always be my go-to in Rome!

This was a very good hotel for the price. We found it at the last moment. The neighborhood is a little commercial on one side of the hotel but a few streets away the neighborhood is very charming and arty. The best part was that the hotel was steps away from plt hill and the colosseum. The internet was very frustrating.

I booked this last minute, and it couldn't have been better. Convenient location, friendly staff, comfortable room, and fantastic breakfast.

The hotel,was off the beaten path, but was a perfect spot. The desk staff were friendly and very helpful. We were in Rome at the absolute hottest time. Our room was so hot and would not cool down. The staff had no problem moving us to a different room and even giving us a key that would keep the unit running when we're out of the room. Breakfasts were tasty and well presented. The wait staff was pleasant. Being Americans we were so happy to get a bucket of ice in the afternoons!

We stayed for 3 nights, hotel is a 5 minute walk from Roma Termini train station, so very convenient to get around the city using Metro or Bus, also plenty of good restaurants within walking distance of hotel, hotel provides free breakfast and Wi-Fi, consider this a 3 star hotel with 4 star service.

Close to Termini station, Museum of Rome (an overlooked gem) and Santa Maria Maggiore (3 or 4 blocks). Good restaurants within a block or two. 10 minute walk from Coliseum. Metro close too. Service and breakfast way above average. Wi Fi in room. Spotlessly clean. Small shower cubicle that definitely would not fit an oversized occupant to pick up the soap if it dropped. OK for average sized people. We would definitely stay again.

Great location, service... Emmanuella was excellent in helping us plan our day.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfasts. Good location - easy walking distance to most tourist locations and close to the termini if you wanted to use public transport. Slightly overpowering decor, but very comfy and clean. Hope I will be going back!

Lovely friendly small hotel with helpful, approachable staff. We enjoyed the breakfast with everything a continental breakfast should be plus scrambled and boiled eggs and fresh coffee and toast. The hotel didn't charge for the safe in the room which was unusual and tea/coffee was always available free of charge. In a quiet backstreet away from traffic noise, lovely to unwind after busy days sightseeing. Within walking distance of the sights, this hotel offered the perfect base for a great city break. Would definitely recommend and will be back soon!

This has been our favorite hotel of our 8week tour of Europe. Great service, yum breakfast, and big room. Shower was brilliant (rain shower head). People were so friendly and helpful. Great restaurant if you walk out, turn right and go down alley, and turn right at top - first restaurant there was yum and great price. Easy walk to all Rome main sights.

We came in from airport so 40 Euro taxi, but left by train a nine minute easy walk to Termini, past some great restaurants and clothing shops. In the same street, Via Urbana, there are workshops ranging from jewellery to mechanics, its the nature of the craftsmen in the area, dont forget the great chocolate shop either. Hotel has a small lift, which is not unusual) but because it stops between floors you will have a few steps to take your bags either up or down. Room comfortable, all front desk staff we met spoke great English and were tolerent of our non existent Italian. The rooms all decorated just like in the brochure/online which was good, padded walls, matching decor, reasonable bathroom, incredible heating, (great for first weeks of January)and we could vary /turn the radiators off if required. Shower in bath a bit awkward but then they usually are. Toiletries good, and fluffy slippers in the room with Hotel Raffaello label. Better than the other three star hotels we stayed at in Italy (Florence, Venice). Good breakfast offering including hot scrambled eggs, full continental meat selection and some cereals. Great value for money, location good, great service.

Good location, easy access from the Termini station. The clerks are very kind. Free internet/breakfast. You can leave your luggage after check out if you want. I strongly recommend to stay here.

The location was great and the staff very helpful and friendly. We stayed there on two occasions during our vacation. The first room was very comfortable and the second was quite cozy. Thankfully, it was only for one night. The breakfast was excellent and the location was very convenient. October 2011

I selected this hotel due to its proximity to the train station. We didn't realize when taking the train from the airport to the main station that the airport train stops at the very southern end of the station and the hotel is at the very northern end and off by 5-7 blocks. Other than dragging our bags across a lot of unnecessary curbs to get to the hotel everything else was great. We appreciated the free wifi in our room and the breakfast included with the price was very good. The front desk staff was very helpful and gave good directions to get to the various sites and recommended a good restaurant. Our room was very comfortable and clean.

We stayed here for a 3-day short Autumn break. The Raffaello is located just off the Via Cavour on a pleasant, quiet side street. There are plenty of good restaurants - frequented by the locals - within 10 minutes walk. The Hotel staff were welcoming and the rooms stylishly decorated. The only negative for us was the VERY firm bed and excruciatingly solid pillows; but then, we always seem to find this in Italy! The breakfast - served on the mezzanine - was very good with a wide selection of fruits, meats, cheeses, croissants and pastries, plus juices and jugs of great coffee. The Raffaello is an excellent hotel choice; reasonably priced and all the key sites of the ancient city can be walked to within a few minutes. Cavour Metro station is also a few minutes away, which will take you to the further away places like the Vatican. We would definitely stay here again, when in Rome - but would pack our own pillows!

Good location ten minutes walk from station, in a quiet area. Many artisan art and craft businesses and restaurants on Via Urbana or nearby. Breakfast was excellent. Nice touch was help yourself to coffee and tea in the lounge. The only downside was I could find no English channels on the room tv.

We returned to Raffaello after a delightful stay three years ago. This September visit was at a busier time, so we were in a smaller room, but it was still very nice. The hotel is in easy walking distance (eight blocks or less) to the Colosseum and Termini Station, ideal for a visit. Metro access is about three blocks. Good restaurants are within a block. The staff are all helpful and multilingual. When we visit Rome again we will look here first.

This was on a quiet street just behind a main street in the center of Rome. I had just one night, but the stay was great and the room was a bit worn but clean and comfortable. The staff were kind and professional, and the breakfast (free!) was tasty and generous. I would absolutely stay here again.

What a little stunner. This hotel was marvellous. The people who run it should be running the country. They were efficient, courteous and considerate. We arrived in the morning after a 32 hour journey, long before check-in, wondering how we would freshen up for a day of sightseeing. We were immediately shown to an area were we could relax, and refresh before setting out. We reported a minor fault in our air conditioner (it dripped a bit) and a technician repaired in the next morning. The rooms and bathrooms were spotless and beatifully appointed and the breakfast was very good. Of particular note was the delicately cooked scrambled egg and the graceous, welcoming breakfast room staff. We returned for a second stay a week later and it felt like coming home.

The hotel is surprisingly nice in a slightly dodgy area close to termini. Very clean rooms and good service.

Hotel was reasonably nice, good general repair. Refrigerator in room didn't work but that is not so unusual. Breakfast was above average but not great, breakfast service staff was very good. Location is just off of Cavour near S M Maggiore. Hotel is on Via Urbana, which is not exactly a great street after dark but didn't feel dangerous either. Great restaurant, l'Esquilino, about 50 steps from front door (turn right five steps, turn up alley VIa Ruinalglia to top of hill). Ask for Roberto if he's there.

The hotel is great andthe location is great but the best part was the staff. INCREDIBLY HELPFUL AND KIND. Over 3 weeks of Italian travel this was some of the friendliest staff I encountered! Massimo at the front desk was just the best and his recommendations were top notch! I would certainly stay here again. Within walking distance from the main train station, 1/3 mile to metro station.

Excellent location, very nice clean hotel staff and breakfast very good. Brilliant city, excellent holiday.

Hotel was immaculate. Didn't know what to expect because of previous hotel room in Rome. This was a back-up and it delivered. Breakfast was free and pretty good if you got there early when the eggs were fresh. Unlimited wi-fi for the duration of your stay for twenty-five euro. Walking distance to Colosseum/Roman Forum and Rome Central Station. Great restaurants surrounding the hotel. It's also in a very artistic neighborhood with galleries, boutiques galore!

We stayed in Hotel Raffaello and would defintely recommend onto others! It's a 5 min walk from the Colosseum/Arch of Constantine/Palatine Hill. The Hotel room was kept very clean and the breakfast buffet was very good too, the only area for improvement for us would be if it had a bar area/restaurant where you could socialise in the evening, as we didn't want to venture out too far at night but apart from that the hotel is brilliant and staff very friendly!

Taxie drivers did not know this hotel so after the first time having to get out reservation, we picked up business cards to give to the drivers. It is down a small street but the front desk had taxis in 1 minute. My husband laughed and said yeah sure one minute but it was less than one minute. One driver charged 25 euros from the Vatican to this hotel. Ridiculous. He then took my 20 euros and as I turned to get 5 euros from my husband he then had a 5 euro in his hand and not the 20 I gave him. This was not the hotels fault but I learned to say out loud how much I was giving the drivers.
