This hotel is pretty basic, but we loved it & would stay there again. It's not fancy, and our room was small, but it was clean. The staff, especially the man who checked us in and was there most of the time, was fantastic -- very friendly and gave us great recommendations. This neighborhood is about a 25 minute walk from St Mark's square, but we liked that. If you stay there, definitely eat at El Cantina right up the street -- doesn't look like much from the outside, but the service and food were amazing!

We booked this room several months in advance and got a fantastic rate. I checked the rate closer to our travel date and it was 2X as much - book early!! This a very small hotel. I was a little skeptical - because it seemed a little off the beaten path. We loved this hotel! The room was small by American standards, but typical for European. We stayed in economy room, and were very comfortable. The location could not have been better (nice quiet area and very convenient to the vaporetto). The bathroom was nice and clean. If you are looking for more space, you cannot go wrong with one of the suites (very spacious). The staff was friendly and helpful. They suggested a restaurant (La Cantina) that was a trip favorite. I highly recommend this hotel.

Once you got to the hotel it had a great location for touring and shopping. The hotel had a lot of carm and the staff was very helpful.

The only reason I give it a low in comfort is because they have hard beds and pillows which is typical of many hotels in Europe unless you are in a 5 star. More than continental breakfast, have eggs scrambled and hard. Staff very helpful. Don't worry about luggage, staff will help take it to your room.

The staff are the friendliest and most accommodating people. The hotel is a boutique hotel with only 11 rooms, and each one is extraordinarily large and airy and delightfully decorated. We had high expectations that were easily exceeded!

It was a very long walk to drag suitcases over 3 bridges. The bed springs could be felt through the mattress and there was absolutely no place to put your suitcase except one tiny chair. The room was tiny and dark. The windows had bars on them; we would never have survived a fire in that room. And although the coffee pot looked like an expresso machine the coffee tasted like instant.

The hotel was very nice, great area. The rooms seemed small (the standard room is definitely not what you see online) but we did not spend much time in the room anyway. Breakfast was great and free computer with internet access definitely a plus.

Beautiful hotel in Venice. A little far from main shopping area in San Marco Plaza but we loved walking through the narrow walkways of Venice and seeing the lovely architecture and other shops along the way. Our hotel room was beautiful. We stayed at 4 hotels in 4 cities during our Europe vacation and we loved the Venice hotel the best. Beautiful room and the staff was very helpful.

A short walk from all the major tourist attractions of Venice, but quiet and off the beaten track. Hotel staff was friendly and very helpful. Room was small but comfortable, everything worked perfectly. I would definitely stay there again, or recommend to friends.

The hotel was very good except that the air conditioning was not switched on. We had conflicting explanations of why the air conditioning was not on and although we were upgraded free of charge from a small room to a junior suite both rooms were too hot and therefore uncomfortable. The rooms themselves were very nice it was just the temperature that was the problem. We would recommend the hotel if it's air conditioning is switched on but not if switched off. Surprisingly the hotel director could not speak English well and had to get a staff member to translate. All the other staff spoke very good English.

Girlfriend and I very happy with service, room, cleaningness, location, breakfast, assistance. Hotel is elegant and feels exclusive as rooms are only a few and makes the touch personal. Breakfast was pretty decent. Great and quiet location. Would stay again. Defo recommended. Nick

Upgraded to Junior suite which had plenty of space. Hotel had nice Venice feel. Room and bathroom was clean and maintained. The bathroom did have a weird sewage smell but if you closed the door is wasn't too bad. Breakfast was simple and nice. Tilly was very helpful and gave us some great tips on how to save money in Venice. With his help we were able to get to airport for only 5 euro compared to the 26 euro we spent coming. (Take 5 bus in front of airport). The TV only had two English channels which were news channels. Supermarket within walking distance of hotel and some nice shopping stores.

We were really pleased with our two night stay and extended it to one more night! A balcony facing the canal was very romantic (full moon!), the owner was very nice and assisted us with all our requests, the hired personal was very polite and helpful. The hotel is a historical building (one of the Doge's families had it for centuries) and has a sense of eternity in it. Nice restaurants and shops are close by, the Ca'd'Oro is just around the corner when we travel to Venezia again, we know where to stay :):)

This hotel was in a very quiet location. It was not far from the Grand Canal. We walked all over the city from our hotel. Breakfast was very good. We had the small room which was big enough, but it would have been nice to have a bigger room.

i really liked that this hotel is a little off of the main street/alley where all the tourists walk and make lots of noise. if you take the water taxi, this hotel has its own dock right in front. if you take a water bus, it's not difficult to find and it's only a short walk (5 mins?). we got a room on the 1st floor which, at first, we thought was a pretty bad deal since we didn't have any view. but when we walked around and up to the 2nd floor where all the other guest rooms are, we were relieved to have a ground floor room bec. they don't have elevators and the steps are plentiful! water dripped from the AC. we didn't report it bec. it wasn't enough to really bother us. don't know if they're even aware. our bathroom was the biggest of all the hotels we stayed (lisbon, rome and venice were the cities we visited this trip). internet connection too slow. gave up my search and used my iphone instead. though there's room for improvement, we would definitely stay here again.

A/C did not work properly. Not to close to Plaza San Marco (15 min. walking fast). Nice decor. Very expensive. Good breakfast included. Attentive personnel

This hotel is in excellent location, however, if you are arriving by train and will take the waterbus to get to the hotel I recommend that you do not take a heavy suitcase as there are many steps to go up and down before you reach the hotel. If you are leaving via Marco Polo Airport be aware that a water taxi, even though convenient, is very expensive. Taxis are available at the airport harbor site but the walk to the airport is only about 7 minutes. Finally, the staff at the hotel was fantastic!

The staff was very courteous, helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. I would stay there again without shopping for another hotel. The location was away from most of the tourist crowd but not far from all we wanted to see.

I would highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Venice. It is convenient to get to as the water bus stop is very close to the hotel or if you use water taxis, you can get out of the taxi and walk right into the hotel. The hotel staff is very friendly and willing to assist you with any questions you have. The rooms are nice, the bed we had was hard and that was my only complaint. Overall our stay here was great and I would definitely recommend it.

Lille fint hotel, men vi savnede udsigt fra værelset.

Camera troppo piccola, servizio buono, ma da un hotel 4 stelle a Venezia mi aspettavo di più.

In aggiunta alla valutazione positiva dell'hotel (strutture e servizi), lodiamo il grande zelo dello staff: poichè il periodo di bassa stagione lasciava disponibile la stanza per l'intero giorno del nostro check-out, la receptionist ci ha codialmente proposto di tenela gratuitamente fino all'ora della nostra partenza. Per noi è stata una gran comodità.

el mejor hotel de todos los que visite en mi estadia en europa. todo el servicio fue excelente, la habitacion amplisimaaaa! maravillosa mi estadia en venecia y en ese hotel.

Somos una familia de 4 personas y hemos pasado unos días estupendos en Venecia.El hotel está bien comunicado con el bus/tren y los principales monumentos de Venecia, el vaporeto también esta muy cerca,la habitación una maravilla, amplia, comoda, el personal es muy atento, el desayuno muy bien. Tienes muchos sitios alrededor para comer/cenar.Ideal para estar y pasear en Venecia. Muy recomendable, para repetir.

El hotel está situado justo en la calle principal que te lleva a todos los lugares principales de Venecia. El servicio es genial, muy amables y atentos. El desayuno, limpieza, atención extraordinarios. Sin duda volveré a ir al mismo hotel en mi próxima visita a Venecia. El único inconveniente es que el colchón era algo blando y deberían renovarse, por encontrar algún pero.

Med tanke på prisniveauet i Venedig er dette hotel rimeligt i pris. Standarden er høj og personalet meget professionelt og venligt. Hvis man bestiller det lille "økonomi" værelse må man dog forberede sig på at bo i et kosteskab med udsigt til baggården, men sådan er det jo.

Bien situé dans le quartier de Cannaregio. Excellent accueil, nous avons disposé d'une grande chambre pour un prix modeste pour Venise. Calme malgré la proximité de la principale voie passante de Venise.

Et flott hotell med en staslig resepsjon. Lysekroner og høyt under taket. Hyggelig personale. Man kan gå til tog/ buss, men må da dra på koffert igjennom trange gater med mye turister. Stusselig frokost. Gratis internett. Fint, men trangt rom.

Fräscht hotell i Venedig i traditionell "flådig" italiensk stil med snirkliga mönster, "guld" och stora gardiner. Mycket trevlig och hjälpsam personal! Internet gratis (ej trådlös) i rummet eller gratis tillgång till hotellets dator med internet om man ville. Safety box på rummet. Liten frukost, men med god lyxig cappucino. Gångavstånd till tågstationen (ca20min) och bra hotell bara en bro bort från en av de stora turiststråken.
