The Harte and Garter Hotel and Spa - ويندسور

Great location across street from Windsor Castle. Beautiful room, lovely large hotel. Only difficulty is parking... there is none. Parking wardens apparently very quick to ticket cars even when trying to load and unload bags to check in. One of us had to jump out of car with bags while the other went to park the car at a public lot and walk back in the rain. No breakfast included either. Still-- the location and quality of the room made up for it.

Great location, across the street from Windsor Castle, and great price. Convenient hotel to the train station and in the center of the city of Windsor. The only drawback was that hot water was not really hot. Oh well, this is England after all.

We stayed at the Hart & Garter, as a treat for my husbands birthday, and were very pleased, we left a day early bcause of the snow, but that was not the hotels fault. Would recommend the hotel to anyone, so near to the castleshops and station, we will be going back again, and thank you all so very much, best wishes jackie.

Excellent location with cheeful, helpful staff. Rooms overlooking Windsor Castle afford great views, but the High Street can get quite noisy when the local pubs are closing on weekend nights (around 3:00 a.m.). Probably not a big problem if you sleep with the windows closed. Near Heathrow and an excellent alternative to the airport hotels or going into central London.

Gorgeous Hotel, lovley furnishing and excellent location for going out and exploring Windsor. I would stay again. The only negative thing I would say is that I booked a double room for myself and because I was only one person and not two they gave me a small double. Friends of mine booked the same double room however because there was two of them they got a massive double room! A bit unfair I thought. However on the plus side, the manager was very willing to change my small double room from a brick wall view to a castle view, although still a small double. All in all a lovley hotel.

I had a fabulous stay at this hotel and am definetely going to stay there again. It is only a shame it was for the one night. The only downside is that i did not have a castle view, which i will be selecting when i next go there!

I loved my stay. Especially enjoyed walking around the town, visiting several pubs within 100 meters of the hotel. I walked along the river Thames. The hotel feels like it's sitting on top of Windsor Castle. You can walk out of the front door of the hotel and touch Windsor Castle in 5 seconds. Great breakfast too. I WILL BE BACK.

When I checked in I was put on the first floor adjacent to an ally. The ally had dumpsters that made the room stink. I asked for an upgrade and fortunately they were able to accommodate me. I’m sure I would have been sorely dissatisfied if I had to stay in that room for 3 nights! The upgrade room on the 4th floor however was great. The location is outstanding - across from the castle, shopping, dinning is great and also near two train stations for easy access to London and the scenic "long walk"!

This is the only hotel I have ever stayed in outside of the Americas so it may be quite nice for the U.K. but I was not satisfied with the experience. It was very noisy, the bedroom was small and the bathroom was so big it didn't keep heat in (and no shower doors!). The service was fine and the place was clean but I'd prefer a US Hampton Inn. The location is unbeatable for touring the Windsor castle and shopping.

the hotel has no air condioning unbareably hot , overly expensive service charge on everything, had better breakfast at a wheatherspoons uneadable and overpriced.

\it was our first wedding anniversary and had heard that this hotel was the best in Windsor...The hotel room we checked into was not what we expected, initially we were disappointed as the view from the room was a roof with bird poo. & there was no water in a jug..we went around for a walk in windsor & returned tired, its then that we realised how comfortable the bed was & clean crisp white bedsheats...so closed the drapes to the windows & took and a nap and later enjoyed the eveining going pub to pub...

Die zentrale Lage in WIndsor in Verbindung mit dem positiven und charmanten Charakter des Hotels versprechen einen schönen Aufenthalt. Zimmer sind nicht sehr groß (wie meist in UK) und das Hotel ist teilweise recht verwinkelt, aber gerade das macht es irgendwie aus - und das Service ist sehr gut.
